“Is this weird?” Seokmin asked that evening as he held you as you both watched Netflix. 

“Only weird if you make it weird, Seok,” you mumbled into his chest. He had come over after his schedules, and it was your first date of the week—the first one since the breakup. 

“Can I ask you something?” You said as you sat up and pressed pause on the laptop. 

“Why didn’t you trust me?” You said, thinking you might as well rip off the bandaid. 

Since the breakup, you and Seokmin have been through a whirlwind of emotion. The air between you two still crackled with unresolved tension, holding onto the fragments of what once was. It felt like trying to piece together a shattered vase, hoping the cracks wouldn't show.

You knew there was something worth salvaging. You both did. You just wanted things to be okay again. 

“I guess I was once cheated on,” Seokmin mumbled. 

“What?” 

“Seok, why wouldn’t you tell me this? Oh my goodness, I would have been so much more understanding,” you rambled, and Seokmin shook his head. 

“Baby, I was cheated on at the age of 13 by a girl who confessed her love to me in the melona Pledis room, and she “cheated” because she told Mingyu she loved him 30 minutes later,” Seokmin recounted with a fond smile. 

“Oh,” you responded, trying to fight the smile itching to show up on your lips. 

“Well, you were so young. It was a core memory in your formative years,” you added honestly. 

“But more importantly, Rowoon is this tall ass, a buff dude who everyone thinks is the perfect son-in-law; plus, he doesn’t have to hide a relationship, I do,” Seokmin explained. 

“Y/N,”  Seokmin continued, “I never once thought you would cheat. I just was scared that you’d see that it’d be easier to date him because you could be public, and I thought you’d leave me, not for him, but in general, because hiding us is exhausting,” Seokmin admitted. 

“But instead of telling you this, I just lashed out, and I projected my fears and insecurities onto you instead of telling you. I said awful things, and for that, I’m sorry,” Seokmin apologised, wiping the tears that had pooled in his eyes. 

You found yourself slowly letting go of the hurt that had clung to you both, and you leaned forward, wrapped your arms around him and pulled him into a tight embrace. 

“We’ll be okay, Seokie,” you mumbled into his hair as he clung to you.

FANTASY people, this is not like likely to happen. I'm being ridiculous.

Jinyoung (GOT7) - my original bias, he got me from Kpop into Kdramas. I mean Devil Judge was close but, yeah. My number 1 pick without question.

Eunwoo (Astro) - who wouldn't want to watch the hottest man in the world kiss a boy? Although Moonbin is probably more likely.

Rowoon (SF9) - I love his ultra soft screen presence and I already watch everything he’s in. 

IM (Monsta X) - my bias, he's such a snarky shit and I love his pointy evil cat face, I think he'd be a GREAT tsundere character. 

Jungwon (Enhyphen) - what can I say I have a thing about cat-like humans, also so flipping adorable. 

Felix (Stray Kids) - of course it has to be him, I mean it probably could be Hyunjin but I highly doubt that boy can act. 

Seonghwa (Ateez) - he’s just so beautiful, but also I think Yunho is a pretty darn good actor, so he’s my second choice. 

Yuta (NCT) - I mean, come on, no question, there is a part of me that expects him to do like the next version of Old Fashion Cupcake in a decade or so after NCT disbands and he returns to Japan (baring a burn away). 

Johnny (NCT) - tall and flexible? What’s not to want on screen? He’d be a great cheeky flirty seme character. 

Jungwoo (NCT) - he looks like Taemin and he is possibly one of the prettiest drags I have ever seen, not sure he can act tho. (I'd put Taemin on this list but we all know he actually can't act, so... no.)

Sadly my ultimate bias Minhyuk of BTOB = also not a good actor. *tear*

Despite their dominance of the list, I am not a huge NCT fan but their selection/casting process apparently was the qualifier: “perfect for a BL.” There are several more in the supergroup that clearly would be great.  

I’m certainly missing some but I went with only major groups or existing actors or both. 

Oh and as I was reminded in the comments:

Sunghoon from Enhypen is obviously going to co star in the live action Yuri on Ice. Obviously. I brook no arguments on this matter.

can you please do a reading on rowoons love life and him as a bf?

Rowoon has chances of getting into a relationship with a fellow actress/idol but I feel that would be a PR type relationship. They'd "break up" in a year or two.

Other than that, what he's like in a relationship mhmm... It's not his top priority. As I was writing this reading, I ended up getting very distracted and doing other things. Then I was like oh yes, I still have this open on a tab. Dating/love is pretty low on his list of priorities. It's just a "nice" to have; not really necessary in his life for him to feel fulfilled. Rowoon doesn't feel like he's empty or missing anything without romantic love.

Sure, Rowoon might have some desires here and there for s*x, but again I don't see that as something that he cares that that much about. If he's feeling horny, he probably can resolve it just by himself or finding a fast booty call with some NDA attached to it. If he has s*x with someone, then it'd be kind of sensual and sometimes slow. There'd be quite a bit of foreplay and teasing.

Right now he just wants to focus on his career. He may do some dating to prepare himself for some acting roles, but that's just work. I don't see him falling in love with casual dates/flings.

I do feel deep down Rowoon has some unrequited/secret love that he has buried in his heart. Part of the reason love is so low on his list of priorities is that Rowoon knows that the person he loves will never be his partner. This person is probably taken and there's something that doesn't allow them to be together (re: society and/or the person not loving him back) or this person is already dead. They're just "alive" in his memories.

If Rowoon does marry, he isn't marrying the one that he actually loves. He's marrying someone who kind of reminds him of the person he loves--chasing after a shadow imo. His spouse will later realize this too and likely be upset.

Oh my god. Another ‘everything’ answer. he’s just *dreamy sigh* 🥰 I’m so annoying, I know. But like come on. Okay for this one I really will say if I have to pick just one… it would be the outgoing part of his personality. His mbti is literally entertainer and he really is. mhhhh 🤔 I think I would tell Kai that he’s an amazing dancer and that he sets the precedent for so many to follow. i’d tell him that his passion shows and so does his kindness and that i’m really grateful that he can and does share his talent with us…. and i’d tell him that teleportation is the best superpower 😌😌

Between 1 and 2 who’s closet would you raid?

well, either way, my boyfriends are supposed to share their hoodies with their partner, right 💀💀 Let me say, I absolutely LOVE both of their styles. It fits them each so perfectly. I feel like ro is sharp lines, long and slender and elegant to fit his frame and ji is oversized hoodies and baggy pants and soft and excess comfort. So in terms of me adopting said style, I’d go for hannie. He’s definitely more in my comfort zone.

What is a style you want to see 3 try?

I don’t know if this is like style of music or fashion style or something else but i’ll go with fashion? Even though I know nothing about fashion 💀 I do know I liked his save me, kill me performance mv (<- go watch 😤) fit. with the asymmetrical black and white shirt. so anything that is similar to that is a-okay 😌👌 I also feel like he would do great in adopting a similar style to Rowoon. I mean, he’s got a similar slender frame even though he’s not as tall as ro. but idk I think it’d look good 🤷‍♀️

ANDDDD I've got like two idea for a fic and the first one is a little more...how do I say it? Mafiacore? So imagine, person a and person b. person b, is given a mission to go get some imp documents that person a has (very dangerous leader of a mafia clan) which has things that's are against person B's boss so hence he's given the mission so like...an undercover spy maybe...AND A MAFIA AHHH! But as the law suggests they end up falling in love but the catch is...the real villain is person B's boss and person a had already met person b once that's how he felt a connection with him😭

The next one is Bcz I've been heavily obsessed with Lana del rey and i thought of this while listening to Salvatore....so, imagine like person a is a really vintage girl, obsessed with books, but for research purposes and to unfold the secrets of this world (not like us 😔) and so there's this Library she loves going to but she wants to read more into mythical creatures and stuff but the library restricts the specific area, so, as any protagonist would do, our person a, breaks into the library after its closing hours and goes to the restricted area that is rumoured to be haunted and stuff, there..she meets person b. A really peculiar guy, beautiful, but peculiar with a fashion sense of the 40s and 50s wearing, those suits and perfect hair that fell onto his forehead angelicly.

And as the story unfolds, they both start to get closer to the each other, of course I'd add more drama to it, but the catch for this one is that....person b is not real.

Unsatisfying satisfying story of "Extraordinary You"

This left a scar in my heart. How do I explain it? I mean, out of all the dramas I had watched my entire life, this story made me feel like I will never be, ever be satisfied with it--- no, I am actually satisfied with the drama. Too complicated but here it goes...

The first episodes of the drama specially if you watched it without knowing anything, like literally just started playing it without any spoiler, will surely make you puzzled. I have known a lot who dropped this drama just because they can't understand the flow of the story. Indeed, if Rowoon wasn't the actor, I would also dropped the drama on its first episodes.

The story was on and off so as the characters but continuously you would understand the reason why and the reason made me fall in love with the drama that I lay down in bed for the whole night till another day up to noon time just to finish it in one not-sitting-because-i-lay-down-watching.

Aside from those, the drama is so unique for me for the fact that although I can beautifully summarize stories, this drama challenged me so much.

I can't even distinguish how should address the actors without expounding my answer, take for example, Rowoon, should I address him as lead or the extra?

Also, though the drama itself is a fiction having another fiction on it is a redundant thing to explain including the characters characterization, Dan Oh and Haru's role is a fictional character on a fiction, being the lead on the drama but a second lead or supporting character.

The ending was supposedly satisfying. No one would ever think of another in exchange for that beautiful ending! BUT for me, there is a glimpse of unsatisfactory with that satisfying ending.

Although they would be the lead for their own story, they are just part of the story :(

As the drama ends, their story will also end like a dying pig being killed.

Despite my explanation, I can't still explain what I feel, sorry. It's just that, it's hard for me to accept that they are just a character of the story inside the drama. Their journey might have a lot of obstacle or their story might not have a good ending depending on the author of their story. What if the author died before finishing their story which was decide by the author of the drama?

It gets more complicated as I think about it. I mean I know everything is decided by the actual author of the drama but YOU SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED WHO WAS 'THAT' AUTHOR!

I'm not mad, I'm just complicating my complicated self. That's all.

i have !!!! so many thoughts about the king’s affection thanks to these last two episodes,,,,

to begin with, i really enjoyed the way jiun handled his feelings for the crown prince - i liked that they didn’t focus overtly on the “oh my god, i’m in love with a man????” angle, and instead went for the “oh my god, i’m in love with the Crown Prince” angle. it’s hwi’s royal status that makes him untouchable, and that makes loving him wrong in jiun’s eyes. what a refreshing, layered change from the usual trope!!

also, there’s just something so beautiful about the fact that jiun falls in love with the same person in two guises. the underlying idea - that loving someone’s very essence means loving them no matter whether they are a man or a woman - really moved me.

and further, the acting, Oh God the acting in these episodes!!! park eunbin’s eye-acting, rowoon’s line deliveries. So Fucking Good. And the lines themselves were written so marvellously as well - there is a very gentle tenderness to jiun’s multiple lines of confessions, which underlies how he is such a gentle and pure soul at heart. from the “i will endure it all, no matter what others may say”, to the “i hope you will be happy. not just for a day, but for every single day.” in particular, the final scene in episode 10, where jiun declines hwi’s offer to remain in the palace in another position. he lists all the reasons he would give to visit the crown prince’s palace, and says these lines in a lighthearted and wry way, as if making a joke. but then there are moments where the pain beneath it all slips through, and he knows it, and hwi knows as well. it makes it all the more painful that he’s trying to make the parting a gentle, easy one, rather than one filled with tears and heart-rending goodbyes. i completely lost it when hwi opened the resignation letter and out came the flowers she had talked about earlier on.

a small bonus observation - the dice that the crown prince gave jiun. i love how they are used in the scenes. netflix translation doesn’t quite get this across as well as i’d like, but in the scene where jiun tells hwi that he realised that it wasn’t a dream that hwi reciprocated his feelings, he opens his hand and reveals the dice, which say 停戀. Netflix translates this as “stay, longing”, but i personally think that there is another layer to this - when read together the words mean “to stop loving”. how poetic, that his heartfelt confession about loving someone who he should not love is juxtaposed against the sensible reality which the dice portrays, that they should stop loving.
