I'm thinking about like… little, autistic Worf growing up on earth, thinking that yes, he's different from all the other kids but it's okay, after all they're humans and he's a Klingon and that's why he's different and he'll probably be able to hang out with other Klingons down the line and it'll be fine. im actually not done posting about rightful heir sorry. ik that 'what happens after we die' is like the number one question that religion is supposed to answer so it probably means nothing that worf's asking it here beyond that they needed to show the holes in this guy's knowledge. HOWEVER. these aspects of klingon religion predate kahless and his teachings. worf in this scene believes he is talking to the real founder of modern klingon spirituality, essentially their messiah, and rather than ask him about any of the things kahless actually taught or his opinion on the state of the empire, he asks him this. to go with the most stupid + obvious analogy that's like a christian meeting the second coming of christ and asking him, rather than Anything About The Bible or current events, what he saw when he died and came back. wouldn't have anything to do with worf's mother and father and the rest of their family and kehleyr and tasha yar now would it. later on data asks worf whether he still believes the real kahless is waiting to meet him in stovokor. i wonder if he's waiting to meet anyone else.
