Happy day, @naffeclipse !! (right click each for better quality fghgdf) Apex Polarity had me in a choke-hold and ough ;o; the ending was so intense and then so lovingly soft, I knew I wanted to draw it as soon as I was done reading. 3 days after starting it, here we go! @naffeclipse I am beside myself with obsession over Apex Polarity. Over the past two days I’ve reread chapter 11 five times only to start the whole fic over from scratch and choke out two fanarts besides.

Your writing…I’m literally speechless. The intensity in which you write Orca!Eclipse and his obsessive tendencies tickles my brain in a way that no other piece of media has tickled before. I’m low key worried I’ll never read anything that good ever again because I’m just so obsessed.

I drew another piece first that’s a bit of a spoiler for the most recent chapter (as of now) that I’m less satisfied with but I’ll put under the cut as well as some closeups from this first piece.

I strive to write as well as you, I’m going to be vibrating with excitement until the next chapter unless I rocket into the sun first.

I am living for all these mafia orca siren asks, so here's another! How would the boys react if they caught one of their underlings trying to court y/n? Maybe y/n hasn't officially been declared their mate, but others can read the room with how much the bosses favor them.

I'm just imagining how quickly Sun, Moon, or Eclipse would shut down another siren singing to their dolphin mate. XD

They would not take kindly to an insubordinate looking at their (soon-to-be) mate with the intention of courtship. Eclipse does not take threats very well to what is his and would starkly inform the offender that they are not pursuing the dolphin siren any further. Or else. Moon takes it upon himself to be with Y/N at all times possible, leaving little room for anyone who would want to court the dolphin siren to be alone with them. Sun is subtle but sharper in his jealousy, speaking to the attempted courter that singing to a siren already taken is indeed very foolish.

@naffeclipse's Apex Polarity has finally taken me and I'm currently drowning in it's icy depths. Let's get one thing straight right away, I'm not normal about orca Eclipse, maybe you can tell.

I speculated on designs for a long while before I was able to read the fic, but this design came to me after I finished reading. Something about him having less fins makes him more unsettling to me so I decided to take away his fin rights, serpentine bastard. He doesn't resemble the Eclipse in the fic entirely but I still enjoy this design a lot~

So yes I have OF COURSE read @naffeclipse new fic Apex Polarity and yes, I AM OBSESSED!

So I decided to make a little comic of how I think their "first encounter" might have looked like from Eclipse's perspective.

I can't help but think about how alien and scary we most look to him (especially if there is a history of fasco hunting polar sirens in the past). With all that gear we look like emotionless beings, just observing and uncaring of this ice world. But then when y/n shows up and probably exudes this joy and wonder for his world + shows respect for the creatures and the environment??? Mmh yeah, I can see Eclipse falling for y/n, especially considering how alone he might be...

So yes, that's what I have for today! If you want to read the fic I'll link it right here. I can't recommend it enough, but as always, read the tags so you know what you're getting into! And lastly I also want to @themeeplord beacuse Eclipse's design is basically their design in my style (god I love their design so much, their character/creature designs are the BEST) so all the credit goes to them!
