As a fun design experiment a while back, I decided to draw our D&D party plus our notable NPCs and boss encounters as if they were lil game sprite illustrations (specifically thinking of the FFIX concept art), and it resulted in this, imo, pretty cool poster and collection of designs!

Some of my favorite pieces today - vintage Brooks Brothers OCBD, a really nice Gant sweater with like a micro cable knit pattern, my fantastic suede bomber jacket, also vintage Brooks Brothers, Madewell jeans and my suede longwing bulchers from Grant Stone. I’m also wearing my Oris Diver 65.

I can’t recommend buying quality pieces on eBay enough. You get burned on occasion, but the deals you can score are just incredible. I paid like $75 for this suede jacket.

Ruler of All, Rue

who's been there since the beginning? Who created all the known gods in Tagi?

Rue has.

Also known as 'The mother of all', Rue is the creator of life on Tagi. She keeps tabs on her creations through specially chosen vessels, who she chooses once they're born. She hasn't been spotted for a long while, hiding in the cosmos for some time now.

Oris, being a god, was one of those vessels, along with the other gods of Tagi. Rue especially liked keeping tabs on Oris, considering he was an outlier. Oris had spent too much time outside of his realm because of a certain Eere, who he's fallen in love with.

With the revelation that Oris has had a child with the Eere he fell in love with, Rue decided to keep full tabs on Oris's new child, Tinker. Rue didn't try to stop anything that happened. She has the ability to control Tinker, but she has never used that. Yet.

Tinker's caretaker, Layrin, was completely aware of Rue watching over Tinker. With Tinker being an unpermitted god, his form is unstable. Even more unstable with Rue's void that consumes him. Layrin has never told Tinker about Rue, though. Layrin wants to keep him ignorant and safe.

Tinker's hand is now fully Rue's void. Rue has no interest in taking control of Tinker, but whenever Tinker feels any intense emotions, Rue's void takes over as a separate consciousness from both Rue and Tinker. Rue knows when this happens.

Muted tones for a gloomy November day.

Grey Abercrombie shawl cardigan, my new custom burgundy stripe OCBD from Luxire, brown flannel pleated trousers from Polo Ralph Lauren, black Allen Edmond loafers and my trusty Oris Diver 65. The shirt and cardigan were purchased new, pants and shoes were purchased secondhand.

I’ll do a post soon comparing my new Luxire OCBD to the others in my closet - I have shirts from Kamakura, Brooks Brothers (vintage and new production) and J.Crew for comparison. Spoiler: it’s a really good shirt
