I've been reading a lot of childcare manwha so here's Childcare AU with Cursery duo and Belladonna. It's revisiting the old crossover art I did with Parn and Bella, but with a more wholesome twist.

Alternate titles: Messed-up people with god-like powers become each other's emotional support. Serial killer gets too busy spoiling child with abandonment issues to do any serial killing. One of them is a tsundere and it's definitely not the catboy (or so he says).

Astral tales - Parn

“Curious.  What do you seek of me?”

“I am sure I am of no interest.”

“If you want to know anything, I can indulge you with a tale of one of my stars.”

“Me?”

“You’re not ready for that. Let’s go with Parn’s. He’ll enjoy me telling his story.”

“Parn was in a similar situation to me. Tossed into Purgatory, and the first being besides Hades who had shown me kindness after my fall.”

“Parn came from a forest race of satyrs. He was so young but knowledgeable, he buried himself in books, whilst the others learned music and spent time with the nymphs.”

“Yet... like any being who is “different” they start to poke at him, or prod him. Provoke his studies. Parn was blessed by Saturn... or Chronos as others may know him as. He was meant to possess every kind of knowledge. How to do whatever at his whim. This extended to magic.”

“He excelled at it, much like I did. He specialized in shapeshifting. So he would play pranks on his kin and those like him. As they grew, his magic grew with him. It wasn’t until love became a problem that the level of magic that was used for deception. Was what caused him to be chased relentlessly through the forest. He had tricked a satyr who loved a nymph, playing with his feelings.”

“He had professed love for the real nymph one day, who rejected him, had no idea he even felt that way. All a guise as Parn had his eye on this one, so he made up the opportunity. Driven by rage and heartbreak. The other satyr branded Parn for witchcraft, as this time, the Salem trials were just starting. So it was easy to accuse one of the craft.”

“Realizing his danger, Parn had fled, ran as far as he could till he came across a river. He had taken the body of a goat to run faster. In his haste to change his form, he forgot to change his upper torso to match a siren.”

“He was caught.”

“A more experienced mage silenced Parn’s abilities as they tossed him back into the river to sink to the bottom...”

“Parn was punished for Purgatory through his lust, as it had brought pain upon another, and inflicted chaos.”

“It’s unfair? Yes... but all star spirits are born of similar tragedies.”

“Parn wandered Purgatory for ages, until he stumbled across a blinded fallen angel. Like a chance to redeem himself. He led her by her hand up the path of the mountain. And helped her find Chiron.”

“Parn atoned for the things he had done in living. Yet.. I won’t tell him that his kind were used in one of Vanth’s rituals. Dragged in during Divinity’s awakening.”

“Awakenings? Those are stories for another time. Perhaps if you come back to me another time. I’ll tell you more.”
