Il termine indaco deriva dal latino indicum, "indiano". In effetti, nel '600, questa sostanza colorante era importata dalle colonie indiane. I tessuti venivano immersi in vasche riempite con il succo estratto dalle foglie di indaco fermentate che, a contatto con l'aria, si ossidavano tingendo la stoffa di un blu profondo. La sua semplicità di produzione causò il fallimento dei mercanti di gualdo o pastel, un altro pigmento ricavato dalla isatis tinctoria.

L'indaco è considerato uno dei sette colori dell'arcobaleno.

Impermeabile, traspirante e antivento, Marm\More utilizza materiali privi di fluoro per la salvaguardia delle persone e dell’ambiente ed una nuova tecnologia tessile che prevede la tintura su filato a basso impatto idrico che utilizza pigmenti naturali di origine minerale. “I comuni metodi di tintura utilizzano 150 litri per tingere 1 kg di filo mentre questo tessuto punta ad utilizzare tra 1 e 20 litri per ogni kg di filo” spiegano le fondatrici. La startup è diventata Società Benefit nel 2021, ufficializzando il percorso volto alla sostenibilità sociale, ambientale ed etica iniziato nel 2020. Fili Pari coordina tutta la filiera produttiva, ogni materia prima ha origine in un raggio di 120 km nel Nord Italia.

The Memorable Moments of Season 14

I’m going to be honest: I had given up on the RHONY reboot. With the delays, the issues with casting, another racial scandal?!

It looked like this was a catastrophe! It was a huge gamble and we had to get to learn a whole new bunch of women. It was risky!

But when the premiere finally aired, I was having a great time. The women were beautiful, established, fascinating, and arguing about the silliest things!

But we needed silly. We needed fun. We needed diversity. We needed something new.

As the season went on, it became a little stale. The girls trip wasn’t as chaotic and hilarious as we’ve gotten spoiled with by the original cast.

But at the end of the day, it showed potential. This was the women’s first season as housewives, and they can only grow from here.

1. Cheese Platter Gate

We jumped in medias res into this season where the group was low-key divided after a night on the town.

They were mad that Erin Lichy had chosen such a trendy place and not gone for something classier.

And Erin was upset that Sai De Silva had been complaining about her cheese platter.

And we saw them together for the first time in Jenna Lyons’ apartment, where they would rather argue about cheese than talk about sex.

Jenna was bewildered.

2. "I look like a Christmas tree!"

Erin had invited the women out to her Hamptons home outside of the season, and one housewife in particular was complaining that it was too cold, there wasn’t any Wifi, and the gift she had gotten from Jenna made her look like a Christmas tree.

Jessel Taank had been activated.

3. “Alexa, open refrigerator!”

Brynn Whitfield was the breakout star of the premiere, and she was bubbly, flirty, cute and funny.

When she tried to open Erin’s refrigerator by commanding Alexa, I laughed so hard.

4. “Tribeca is up and coming.”

After their trip to the Hamptons there were tension between Erin and Jessel. They met up for lunch to talk it over, and it was a classic Housewives scene.

It reminded me of Nene Leakes vs. Shereé Whitfield, and Bethenny Frankel vs. Kelly Bensimon.

When Jessel said that the neighbourhood was up and coming, I knew that I was going to love her.

She reminded me a little bit of Dorit Kemsley when she first joined RHOBH, and she showed potential of becoming the real star of the RHONY reboot.

5. The Vow Renewal Interrupters

Erin was renewing her vows at a party that seemed like a charity event in a museum.

It was sponsored by a million different companies, there really weren’t any food there, and the speeches was long and apparently tedious.

The women were berated by Erin’s family for talking during the speeches, but as we could hear, there were a lot of talking other than them.

Brynn also got into trouble for flirting with Erin’s husband, Abe Lichy.

6. "Jenna-Jenna-talia!"

From the moment we were introduced to Jenna, I immediately fell in love with her.

Her personality, her quirkiness, her sense of humour, her fashion!

Jenna seemed like an incredible addition to the show, and at times I had a difficulty believing it was really true.

When one of her models were visibly nervous, she shared with her that her real name was Judith.

And her name was a nickname her brother had teased her with: “Jenna-Jenna-talia!” My jaw hit the floor!

7. Coachgate

The women were bothering Jenna for not being open and vulnerable with them, when she in fact had opened herself so much about her sexuality, her upbringing, and how the illness incontinentia pigmenti has affected her life.

When the women were going on a girls trip, Jenna wanted to fly before them to get tanned so her scars wouldn’t be showing so much.

But Erin, the little shit-stirrer that she is, made it seem like Jenna didn’t want to fly coach with the rest of the women. They were being so mean to her!

8. Where’s Ubah’s phone?

If there’s one thing we learned on this trip, is that you don’t mess around with Ubah Hassan’s phone.

Erin had pranked her by keeping her lost phone from her, and when she found her phone, she was not happy. In retaliation she took Erin’s sunglasses away from her for 45 minutes.

Erin didn’t like Ubah’s behaviour and she cried and cried about it.

9. Jessel Can’t Win with Sai

On this trip the women had tried to get to know each other better, and when they wanted to know Jessel’s story, shit immediately hit the fan.

Especially Erin and Sai felt like Jessel was trying to compare her upbringing and struggles to Sai’s, who’s been through a lot of difficult things.

But instead of accepting that Jessel’s struggles was real to her, the ridiculed and criticized her stories.

It wasn’t nice, and neither seemed Sai, to be honest.

10. Jenna Wore Jeans at the Reunion!

To finish this reboot, Jenna wore jeans to the reunion! Ever the rulebreaker she showed up authentic to her.

During the season she had talked about how she refused to dress up for the male gaze and came to the reunion as Jenna fucking Lyons.

Personally, I loved it. And it wouldn’t have the same impact if people didn’t lose their shit over it. And they did.

Cremisi

Il cremisi è un tono di rosso vivace, brillante, con un fondo bluastro che lo raffredda lievemente e lo fa virare verso il color ciliegia. Il nome deriva dal corpo essiccato (il chermes) delle cocciniglie che vivono su una particolare specie di quercia, la Quercus coccifera, da cui si ricava l’acido chermesico, una sostanza rossa colorante. È un pigmento molto antico, conosciuto già dagli Egizi.

Il colorante cremisi si utilizza anche in campo alimentare, e in particolare è conosciuto per essere usato nella produzione dell'alchermes, un liquore utilizzato soprattutto per i dolci (è il liquore che dà la colorazione rosso rubino alla zuppa inglese).

Per quanto riguarda i pigmenti può contenere solo i diversi tipi di melanina, che danno colori che variano tra il giallo e il marrone scuro. La feomelanina ad esempio dà sfumature tra il giallo e il rossiccio, mentre l’eumelanina è responsabile dei marroni scuri, che in alcuni casi arrivano vicino al nero. Quando i peli sono bianchi significa che non contengono pigmenti e il grigio è dato da una mescolanza di nero e bianco. Il rosso del pelo di certi mammiferi è comunque diverso da quello più acceso del piumaggio di alcuni uccelli, che invece è dovuto a un tipo di pigmenti che i mammiferi non hanno: i carotenoidi.
