Anchor - LeoPika Oneshot

I watched as he laughed, so effortlessly. His smile reached his eyes with ease. It took my breath away. I loved it. I relished in his smile, his laughter. Knowing I could never truly be the cause of such things. I love him so much. So seeing him search for love, when there was love right in front of him, hurt. The sun hit his face gently, making his face seem as if it glowed. And with that memory, he left. Taking a ship to search for love that was right under his nose. I sat on my bed, knowing full well he may have a bride when he gets back. Knowing well that my feelings are going in circles.

I fell out of my trance with the sound of the port bell going off. ‘East Blue Ship, Returning to Harbor!’ I froze. Leorio’s ship is here..? Not a moment later Gon burst through my door with Killua in tow. “Leorio’s almost here! Can you believe it?! I heard he’s brought his fiance too!” Gon bounced up and down shouting. Killua and I made eye contact, a sympathetic look plagued his face. I scoffed and turned around. “I’ll meet you at the port..” I stated, my back turned to them. Gon agreed and ran out, but Killua stayed for a moment. “Don-…Don’t let it get to you too much..” The boy stated before leaving, closing the door gently behind him. As the sound of the door rang out, I fell to the floor. Tears threatened to fall as my eye stung. I tried my best to ignore my feelings, but I can’t. I can’t.

I began coughing, my chest tightening. I couldn’t stop it. I gripped my mouth and ran to the kitchen sink. I coughed one last time and I could breathe again. I opened my eyes to see what caused me such distress and instantly regretted it. A flower bud. An Achillea bud. Achillea…Leorio’s favorite flower. He said he loved them because they represent good health and were some of the only flowers that grew where he lived. My eyes widened and I immediately turned on the water and washed it away. There was no way this could happen. Not when he’s just getting back. Oh god….

The port bells rang once again, this time signaling the ship had docked. I grabbed my coat and ran down to the port. Just in time to see Leorio helping a lady down the docking ramp. They looked at each other with loving eyes and I felt my chest tighten again. This time, however, I slammed my palm on my chest and ignored the pain. As I approached Gon and Killua I caught sight of Killua’s eyes. “Something wrong?” I asked. He shrugged tightly. “Just a little blood on your lip.” My eyes widened and I quickly whipped it off.

I watched as she and he talked with Gon and Killua, waiting to be noticed. Though when I was, I was met with a tight smile. A smile that did not sit right on the man I loved. I grabbed him by the jacket and dragged him to the beach. He fought, not very intensely, but still did.

"Kurapika, what the hell?!" I turned to glare at him. He stopped fighting and his face dropped. "What’s wrong Kurapika?" We stopped at the same place I said goodbye. I closed my eyes tightly before smiling at the tides. "I just," I paused to wonder why exactly I dragged him out here, "I just want to know about you and...your fiance." Leorio looked a bit surprised and suspicious but said nothing. "Oh. Well, we met when-"

He carried on for around 20 minutes before stopping.

"But she’s not why you dragged me here…is she?"

My chest tightened and I couldn’t stop it; I began coughing harshly. ‘Kurapika! Are you okay?’ Through my coughs, I glared at him and leaned against the sea wall. I puked out another damned flower and quickly covered it with sand, the viscous blood not blending well. "Kurapika..." I turned back to him, a scowl on my face. "What happened to ‘Kura’? Or the occasional ‘Pika Boo’?" His eyes widened.

"What?"

I turned back to the tides, the sun nestled slowly behind them. "Is it all we’ve ever been? Is it all we’re ever gonna be?" I asked aloud, voicing my thoughts. I heard Leorio move but didn’t look. "What do you mean?" "You went...in search of someone else." Once again, I heard him move. "Kurapi-...Kura, what are you on about..?" "A storm is coming in..." I stated firmly, but Leorio didn’t take it. "Kura, what are you talking about?" I finally turned to him, looking him dead in the eye. "You left in search of love that was right in front of you!" Leorio had an offended look on his face. "If there was love here for me before her -- I would’ve stayed!" My eyes widened and tears fell down my cheeks. “'Anchor up to me, My Love,'’ I said, staring at the sand.

"Wha-what..?" My chest tightened but I continued moving up to look him in the eye. "You’ve heard it before. 'Anclate a mí, mi Amor." Leorio’s eyes widened, his face when deep red then melted to pale white -- my chest felt as though it was on fire. "K-Kura...you..." My chest hurt so much -- I couldn’t let him finish. I sprinted as fast as I could to my house.

Once there, I ran in and locked the door behind myself, covering my mouth so that no blood got in unnecessary places. I coughed my lungs out into my kitchen sink. Almost an entire Achillea flower now clogged the drain. I fell to the ground, hugging my knees, and silently crying to myself. A few silent moments later a knock echoed from my front door. "Kurapika, Leorio and you need to finish talking." It was Killua. My chest tightened and I coughed more Achillea into the sink. ‘"Hey, you good in there?" I caught my breath and answered. "I’m fi-ine!' I coughed more of the damned flower into the sink before wiping my mouth and opening the door. There stood Leorio, Gon, and Killua. I glared and turned my back, leaving the door open to whoever wanted to come in. I walked into the kitchen and blocked the sink with my back, turning to the group. Leorio stood there, just staring at me. I did my best to hold a straight face -- a futile effort. "What." I broke the silence. "Kurapika...I," Leorio started. His shoulders were slumped and he looked downtrodden and guilty. Gon sighed and finished the sentence. "She wasn’t real." My eyes widened and I looked at Leorio. "She was just a doll that a friend of mine put Nen into so she’d act real…I thought that you’d all be disappointed if I came home without someone so..." I closed my eyes at the sheer stupidity of the man in front of me; the sheer idiocy of myself for not noticing; and out of relief. A piece of me was ecstatic that she was just a figment of ideal, but another cursed at Leorio for doing such a thing. I couldn't forgive him. "So, you come to tell me this why?" Everyone looked at Leorio. "I-…I don’t know Kura…I left cause I thought it would be better. I didn’t think you’d love me the way I did, and do, you. You didn't really give me any hints..." Leorio let out a breathy chuckle, avoiding my eyes. My chest tightened to an unbearable strength. I quickly spun around and coughed up another of the damned plant. Leorio ran up behind me and saw the flowers - they littered the sink. No amount of water could wash the damned things down the drain. "Kura..." He looked at the flowers, then back to me. His expression was unreadable as my vision began to blur; my ears rang; and a pressure began to build in my head.

OKAY so!! I made these as a sort of promo for my Pokemon Design Challenge! Basically just picked some of the prompts I made, and drew some designs for them. :>

Below the cut I’ll just copy-paste the info about these that I already talked about on dA. Please feel free to reblog this if you like these!

On Sparoxin: So here's the first design, based on the "Pika-clone" trope: Sparoxin, an Electric/Poison Pokemon known for having a venomous bite! Hence the species name of course. And the name itself is just a straightforward combo of spark and toxin. Mainly because I couldn't think of anything better, lol... This was inspired by solenodons, which are a type of small mammal that are related to hedgehogs and shrews, and they do indeed have venom in real life! Though it's not quite like a snake's venom, instead it's more that their saliva acts like a venom. Good enough!

On Crosadon: This is for the “classic monster” shape challenge, so basically designing a kaiju-esque/Godzilla-esque Pokemon. In this case, my inspiration for this was Biollante in particular, my favorite of the Godzilla monsters!!   The name is also a bit more clever than Sparoxin was imo, it's croc + rosa/rose + -don, a suffix used for dinosaurs (like iguanodon!) and some other kaiju-ish Pokemon too (Rhydon and Duraludon come to mind in particular).

On Noxie: This one! This one is probably one of my top favs of the batch of Fakemon I made. ;u;

The name itself is a combo of noxious + pixie, and I picked "virulent" as the species name because the word can describe a disease or poison that's really harmful, and it can also just mean something or someone that's hostile! That describes Noxie, basically a very dangerous Mew-esque/Mythical Fairy Pokemon that spreads disease and poison for its own amusement.

I even designed it to be a bit of a mirror of Mew! Big arms and tiny legs instead of the other way around, a distinct head shape, and three tails instead of just one. Suffice to say I am super pleased with how Noxie turned out, and now I kinda want to keep it for some non-Pokemon ideas, maybe.

On the clown Pokemon line: Another piece for my own Pokemon Design challenge, this time for making a Pokemon for an unused type! In this case Fairy and Fighting, which admittedly I'm surprised hasn't been done yet. Watch, with the new Scarlet and Violet coming out soon, there's probably gonna be one in that game, lol These little buddies are based on clowns, obviously! I really would love to see a non-Legendary/non-Ultra Beast clown Pokemon. The Mr. Mime like is close but not quite perfect for me, and Blacephalon is friggin' awesome, but I think I'd like a clown Pokemon that was more readily available for most players. Jestimp is jester + imp, Pierlin is Pierrot + gremlin/goblin, and Harlepunch is harlequin + punch (which can of course mean physical punching, but also a reference to the character Punch from Punch and Judy). I love how I managed the progressing of appearance in this line, turned out so well!   Admittedly Jestimp and Harlepunch were based off previous Pokemon designs I had on an old account. So I guess it's kind of cheating to use it again for this, but I hope no one minds. :u

On the fossil Pokemon: This was for designing new fossil Pokemon! One based on parasaurolophus, and the other based on stegosaurus. The color scheme for this is probably kinda gaudy? But I was inspired by some of those old (and usually inaccurate, lol) dinosaur toys that would have the dinos in a bunch of different wild colors.   So we got Paraling (parasaurolophus + duckling) and Parallard (parasaurolophus+ mallard). The reasoning for having their names based on ducks was mostly because of Ducky from the Land Before Time movies, lol. Though the duck influence ended up with me designing them to actually resemble ducks somewhat, at least having bills and webbed hands/feet. So they're kinda semi-aquatic without actually being water types! Also, they sing and used sound-based moves, mostly based on the fact that actual parasaurolophus are believed to make some fantastical sounds! If the games had a Sound type, they'd be that instead of Normal tbh.

And then we have Solsaur (sol + -saur ending from stegosaur), and Luxsaur (lux, Latin word for light, + -saur). This one was an idea I've had for a verrry long time, a stegosaurus Pokemon with the plates on its back acting as solar panels to help power electric attacks! I know there's already Helioptile/Heliolisk as solar-powered Electric Pokemon, but I still really like my idea of the plates being "more obvious" solar panels like this.

Mon avis : Je reconnais que ce n’est pas le titre en anglais qui m’a attirée vers ce webtoon ni sa couverture bien que très jolie, on ne pas se mentir. Elle fait très girly et capte le regard, mais… elle ne montre pas non plus le potentiel de l’histoire, et je trouve ça un peu dommage. L’histoire est travaillée et captivante ! Elle commence fort avec la mort de la jeune fille dans laquelle…

Six (or more) Sentence Sunday

A little bit belated, but thank you @polutrope for the tag!

Here are some lines from one of my current project ideas: Rings of Pikachu, a parody crossover fic of the "Rings of Power" TV show, and Pokemon.

Unfortunately, as "Rings of Power" did not have the rights to a lot of Tolkien's Legendarium, I had to adjust the names, accordingly.

"Pika... Pikachu pikapi... Pikachu." Such were the words that she remembered long ago, when the Two Trees shone in the West, their light shining on the paper boat her paws made.

The boat glided to the center, moving with a current that neither was rapid nor slow. Just right in Pikachu's eyes. She gazed at her reflection. The yellow mouse wore a white dress today, donning a daffodil near her right ear, one of her favorite flowers. Then a fully autonomous paddle boat sailed against the current, ramming into Pikachu’s paper boat, and ripping it to shreds. "PIKA!" She cried, tears forming in her eyes. Her pointy, rod-like, leaf-shaped ears drooped downwards. "Pi... pika... pi," she wept. She gazed to her right, grinding her teeth together, sparks of electricity rampaging on her red cheeks. Two children stood: one red-haired girl, and the other one... Feyanor! Curse him!

Quick story lang na gusto ko ishare, haha.. bigla akong may naalala na story about sa friend ko na broken-hearted. So eto na nga si frenny na itago na lang natin sa pangalan na pooh and the crush is pikachu and the other girl is piglet..

So my friend pooh crush na crush niya si pikachu like for over 6 years wala siya ibang tiningnan kundi si pikachu lang.. Before the crush crush issue, close si pika and pooh, they were friends no feelings or whatsoever pa but then.. bigla silang tinukso ng iba nilang friends dahil pareho nga silang single and that where it all started, nagsimula lang siya sa “tumigil nga kayo tropa ko yan eh” and then “hala.. ano to? baka nga meron na ko gusto sakanya girl?” hanggang sa naging “hala teh.. my gusto na nga ako sakanya!”. Hanggang sa naging awkward na sila sa isa’t-isa and hindi na nagpansinan ever..

And ayun na nga years pass.. pooh still has feelings for him, and pika none (yes one sided love po sila) but what’s good about pooh is hindi siya nageexpect ng anything from him. She’s just happy about her feelings for him. Nag eenjoy siya don ganorn!

(ah take note pala ha.. ever since walang niligawan si pika, as in wala.. over the years none..)

Hanggang sa eto na ngaaaaaaa!!! may dumating na! si piglet.. So piglet and pooh became friends for some good reasons, and they were very close pa. So alam din ni piglet yung about sa crush ni pooh.. (btw piglet is a very kind and humble person)

and nagulantang nalang ang lahat nang malaman na si piglet na pala ang nagpatibok ng pusong bato ni mister pika. hahaha.. And then obviously HE STARTED COURTING HER.. FINALLY may niligawan na siya akala namin tatanda nang binata eh!!!! hahahah..

So sympre na-broken-hearted ang beshy ko 🤸‍♀️ lmao.. But yknow what’s really amazing about pooh? she’s hurt but she has no hard feelings for piglet. She said “— pero hindi ako galit kay piglet or kahit anong sama ng loob for her. May part sakin na masaya dahil napaka-ayos ng pinili niya (pika)..” diba very selfless.. Sana lahat ganyan.. HAHAHA!!

ayun lang ang ganda lang ng attitude niya.. okay antok na talaga ako.. BYYIE..
