you motherfuckers have no concept of what "land back" or "decolonize" even mean. you're too busy demonizing entire groups of people, terrified, shitting yourselves, that they'll do even half of the horrors to you that you've done to them for decades or centuries. this shit comes off as hella racist for real. you hate arabs so much. you hate first nations people so much. you hate black people so much. even if you sympathize with them, you can't fucking bear the idea of them gaining freedom, independence, autonomy, safety, because you're so, so scared they'll hurt you back and cause chaos in the streets. these same people who just want to rebuild. who just want to go home. who just want to see their families again. who just want food. who just want medical care. who just want dry, warm shelter. you're so focused on the ideas of colonization, of "us vs. them", of one people displacing the other for a state to exist, that you cannot comprehend coexistence, and your only idea of peace is if an entire group of people were just gone and dead.
grow the fuck up. for the love of GOD, grow the fuck up.

"Base" project - progress day 1
Tumblr media
Started with the water/plumbing facility. I ran into some roadblocks when the foundry items I wanted weren't scanned yet, so I had to survey some volcanic planets. Also I really want the space slideshow, the wiki says it can be found on stations and certain space encounters but I've yet to locate one...
Planning to branch this off into a waste disposal service-thing(?)

rewatching the scorch trials for reasons and it's actually appalling how this movie had a budget of $61 million and looked and sounded amazing while allegiant, also a YA dystopian movie with a similar plot of the characters travelling through a lifeless desert wasteland, looked like absolute ass with a budget of $110 million

Sometimes ur heart is full of. Strong n soft nonbinary. Who’s so in love with the universe
#bags under their eyes from stargazing too long. fishys pls go to sleep I promise they’ll still be there. painted galaxy and nebula and#constellations on the walls of their room on the ship. the bone deep bitterness of working under the fleet with the love of being able to#study and explore the stars they’ve been head over heels for since they first looked up at them#strong bc. Will Not ask for help. would sooner get injured on accident and then continue to try and do it on their own. but also they’ll#absolutely help anyone else any time. sometimes ur blue and strong and. definitely not a mutant. look at all your hair would a fish be this#hairy? probably not u bet. and then u go to ur room with its little window by the bed and u stare wistfully out into the void until you cant#keep awake any longer- regardless of when your alarms are set to#them having patches of burn scars from staying out too late. they spent so many paychecks on an umbrella to watch the sun rise once with#junie and it was scorched beyond repair by the end of it bc it was Not made to be a viewing window but they don’t regret it in the slightest#they’re copying down patterns of constellations on their arms in pen when they land on a planet they’ve not been on before. the view of the#stars might be irrelevant to their job but. how could they not marvel. how could they look at all of that and not find wonder.#I made them to be DEAD but they’re SO full of love that um. they got un killed and uh. just kinda scarred and also traumatized from the#whole event. it’s fine! they’re fine. probably. they’re studying the stars so. they’re happy. they should be happy. they think.#fishys#what if I named them fishys astral. for the sillies#fishys astral#just in casies

Planet Headcanons part. 3
The Deltarune news grabbed me by the throat and kept distracting me from posting here.
Anyways!
Planet Scorch, or Planet Onaclove in JP.
Tumblr media
Canon level elements: Planet Scorch is where - in my opinion - the difficulty ramps up. The very start of the level throws meteors at you. You learn the enemies can control fire machines. There are lava rivers. There are bird enemies which will try to throw you into fire pits. Welcome to hell!!
To be fair, you can also control the fire levers, which is fun.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Get fried.
I realized there is something I haven't spoken much about, which I will need to mention here, so some context first.
So in the end of each first levels in the game, there is a 'mini challenge' of sorts, which varies level to level. In Flora, it's a mini boss. In Undertow, it's a set of enemies which are thrown at you by waves (literal waves of enemies lol). Sonata is a mini boss which is a rhythm game, Freon is also a mini boss, so on.
Planet Scorch's? It's a game of Simon Says.
Tumblr media
It starts out easy, showing the number order, but you gotta do that two more times. Once with the numbers disappearing later, and once rather fast and no numbers to help you.
As somebody with a shitty memory, this challenge is a pain in the ass to me. It's usually THE part of the game I dread replaying.
The second stage, Under Factory, shows off the planet more industrail setting. Lots of pipies, places to fly or climb.... Oh, there's still plenty of fire, though! And enemies now have access to explosives.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next up the boss, Adahan!
Probably not what you would think for a fire themed planet, but Adahan is a giant armadillo-like creature.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Every time he takes a hit, he will dig a hole and hide underground before he can strike again. He also has a jet pack of sorts.
Every few hits he will also throw you into this falling segment of sorts, where he is flying. He is definitely a challenge compared to previous bosses so far!
Tumblr media
However, once you beat Adahan, he loses his Evil Power and his armor, and we get a plot twist:
Tumblr media
Adahan is actually a tiny little armadillo.
He will still try to attack you, but his attacks now don't do any damage.
Tumblr media
You also have to hit him even if he is a wittwe baby. Not cool, Ristar.
Headcanons aka don’t play the game expecting to see the shit I’m gonna talk about here:
While a super hot planet already, Scorch especifically uses its machinery to control the heat. When Greedy took over the Valdi System, he also took control of the heat system in Scorch.
Scorch is also the first more technological planet we see (not as advanced as Automaton, but we will get here when he get here!). The most popular technology here, besides using industrial factory things, is steampunk-like. Insdustrial factories tend to be more pricey, while steampunk is more accessible and affordable.
The population of Scorch, if they look like animals, tend to look like mammals or bugs. It's also common for they to wear heat resistant armor and/or to be made of 'metal'. Some of them look shiny because of that.
I also no idea how to describe these thingies from the Factory level, but I imagine they're pretty popular as 'elevators':

it's a good thing I'm too occupied with other stuff right now to draw, because my own interpretations of the razias shadow setting / characters are bouncing around in my head and they are definitely above my current skill level.

Scorching Seven-Planet System Revealed by New Kepler Exoplanet List
A system of seven sweltering planets has been revealed by continued study of data from NASA’s retired Kepler space telescope: Each one is bathed in more radiant heat from their host star per area than any planet in our solar system. Also unlike any of our immediate neighbors, all seven planets in this system, named […] from NASA https://ift.tt/UzgCT3j
