My re-watch of “Abridged” just reaffirmed why I consider Bridge the textbook definition of ‘adorkable’.  Look at him!  :D

However, he absolutely has layers.  While he’s often genuinely socially awkward, he is self-aware enough to play it up to fool the villain of this episode.  He’s also has enough self-confidence to pursue his own leads despite the rest of the squad being convinced another entity is the bank robber.

I also well remember in another episode when Bridge gently but firmly pushes back on Jack’s Christmas remark by saying it’s like Hanukkah for him (potentially an ad-lib given that his actor is Jewish).  Bridge is a dorky sweetheart, but he’s not just a dorky sweetheart, which somehow just makes me appreciate him all the more.  Though it does help that the franchise is idealistic enough that Bridge isn’t expected to stop being a dorky sweetheart.

Btw I’m not going by the whole “colors determine ranking “, for context after SPD here Syd became blue and Z became green but are second in command since the main team is just them and Bridge, plus I don’t really like that structure. These new forms were obtained after those rank ups and are linked more to their inner selves hence the colors but that doesn’t determine ranking.

Sky and Jack are Dekarangers, Deka Ice and Deka Fire, stuff for later like upgrades since Sky is the commander due to Cruger retiring.

Lupin Blue is Stitch Skullovich, an original character, Lupin Red is another oc called Enzo and Lupin Yellow is a WIP. Gold/Patra X is a WIP

Maybe its just me, but if anyone at Hasbro wants to convince us Power Rangers can succeed without adapting Super Sentai in the future, maybe don't design ugly as shit suits for first original whole team suits...

Wait last season in this continuity? Is there gonna be a reboot after dino fury?

Yes, Hasbro announced in a recent press conference or whatever that the plan after the 30th is to move away from Sentai and focus on a new Netflix continuity with a more adult-ish reboot (BIG FEAR) and smaller kid-friendly stuff. No idea what that all entails exactly, or if it'll even happen in time, but it's kind of shaping up to look like Cosmic Fury and the 30th anniversary special are meant to be this continuity's big finish

So, for reasons, are there any PR characters that people headcanon as absolutely batshit crazy? Just for fun… 😂

Like it could be based on something else an actor has been in or some one off thing mentioned or said by the characters that just make you think “what if…”

And like, you could say Tommy/Drakkon, but that’s an easy one and canon to one timeline of the comics. This could be like “so and so grows up to be a freaking murderer or this person definitely has a very specific and creepy fetish that’s practically illegal” some shit like that.

One that comes to mind for me: Mike and Leo Corbett are deeply codependent once they fully process the trauma that they went through as rangers that it affects their personal lives and the families they try to have later in life.

Maybe Tanya and Adam don’t work out and one of them becomes the crazy stalker ex of the other?

Or maybe Sky can’t handle the pressure of being a leader, even though he’s wanted to be red Ranger for so long, so he desperately seeks out Jack and tries to bring him back to SPD, but when he doesn’t… he snaps?

Listen, I adore these characters, but I’ve been watching a shit ton of horror lately and I’d love some dark takes.

can you even imagine the chaos if the kalish era pr progressive-number-of-words-per-episode-by-season format had stuck around?

like one-word episode titles were fine for spd, two-word episode titles were cute for mystic force (minus the weird diversion of "the snow prince"), and three-word episode titles were almost charming for operation overdrive, but four-word episode titles were FORCED AF for jungle fury, so i don't even wanna think about how stupid it would be if we had FIVE-WORD titles for rpm.

"ranger blue"? more like "flynn is sadly a failure"

"doctor k" would be "how doctor k doomed humanity"

and "the dome dolls"? you mean "women have to fix everything"
