Early on in the #raceacrossamerica, the racers ascend to Ranchita California. When they pass the iconic Yeti, they know they are about to start the 12 mile descent of the infamous “glass elevator” into the inferno of Borrego Springs. Not many cyclists enjoy this descent as much as @may_philippe He is faster and stronger than most, thanks to his background in speed skiing and living in the Swiss Alps. Even our follow car has to stay focused to keep up with him. Got to start somewhere
Ever since being a child I have had a real passion for cycling, flying around the neighbourhood on my green Raleigh book thinking I was an Olympic athlete. Now the passion still exists but with the demands of everyday life and work pursuing that passion becomes more and more difficult. As part of an effort to break from the daily grind I wanted to write this blog to share my passion of cycling and my route to becoming cycling fit and achieving my life time goal of completing the Race Across America.
