Idea for a Ghosts plot where Sam gets fed up with the ghosts and instead of just taking away their tv time as a punishment, she decides to take away their choice in what they can watch with their tv time. Oh you wanna watch tv after trying to wire $1000 to an imprisoned prince? Sure. But the only thing you get to watch is PSA videos about internet scams and online safety intended for the elderly. The ghosts all protest, of course, but because they’re essentially spoiled ipad kids at heart they can’t imagine not watching tv for *gasp* a whole week, so they still choose the terrible tv option.
It works so well that it becomes the go-to method of punishing the ghosts. When Hetty makes one too many comments about the good-for-nothing Irish, she’s stuck watching nothing but Ken Burns-type documentaries of the Great Famine and its aftermath. After Thor goes too far with his catty remarks about Alberta’s hat, and Sass keeps trying to egg him on just to cause drama, they both spend the week absolutely fuming as they watch nothing but documentaries about the behind-the-scenes scripting and manipulation of reality tv shows. And when Pete jealously tries (and fails) to possess Mark in order to get Jay to spend less time with him, he’s only allowed to watch tv episodes about the importance of sharing, all of them aimed at preschoolers. (Sam’s first thought is to make him watch home improvement shows about electrical hazards and proper wiring but Jay quickly points out that Pete seems like the type who would actually enjoy watching that stuff, and Pete is so touched at how well Jay knows him that he doesn’t even try to pretend otherwise.)
Sam and Jay very quickly start to have fun with the new punishment system, and it becomes a lot less about actually teaching the ghosts anything than it is about what programming will just be the most ironic and painful to watch. When there’s a big corporate retreat happening at the B&B and Flower keeps walking through guests as a way to protest their company? Well now she’s watching nothing but ‘this is your brain on drugs’ era anti drug specials for a week. Trevor gets into an all-out Reddit war with someone over whether or not the cutting edge is a good movie (all while he’s still banned from the laptop of course) and so he isn’t allowed to watch anything but melodramatic early-2010s Lifetime channel movies about cyberbullying. After Alberta wakes up the livings and several guests playing her music too loud on the Alexa one night, she’s stuck watching YouTube compilations of the worst renditions of old jazz classics for several days. As for Isaac? One word. Hamilton.
The ghosts eventually get their revenge by catching both of the livings lying to each other about big, impractical purchases they made, and demand that, fair is fair, they now get to pick the punishment for Sam and Jay. The livings spend the next week glumly watching nothing but financial planning advice shows, because as it turns out, they too are spoiled ipad kids at heart and can’t make it more than a day or two without tv.

just a heads up
Alex wasn't deliberately doxxed. One of the victims (a minor) accidentally doxxed themselves and Alex through an Amazon link when presenting evidence. They quickly deleted it and censored the link once it was pointed out but people have pounced on that as a way to discredit them.
As for the person threatening to commit, it was the person who presented "evidence" of Alex's innocence, all of which were deepfaked and/or doctored images and misinformation compiled through Reddit. When they were confronted with it and told that their behaviour was dangerous to both the victims and Alex, they doubled down. When they received backlash for that, they deleted the tweets and then became very unstable.
It's all a mess. Step back, support the victims in the meantime, and wait for Alex's response and only then come to conclusions about anything. It doesn't make you a bad person to wait, take care of your mental well-being, yeah?
oh no 😭 That absolutely SUCKKKKSSSS I can’t imagine accidentally doxxing yourself AND another person. Like all of his info is on doxxbin though. Even his parent’s names and previous phone numbers. I can’t imagine an Amazon link containing all that information. I’m wondering if someone took that information in the original evidence and used it to find more info and THEN put it on doxxbin. It was created by someone I’ll call ‘P’ cause I don’t wanna start a witch hunt or some shit. (I mean you can just GOOGLE it his personal information is right there so you can easily see who created it. If you want to know) It says Alex was originally doxxed by $olar (I’m guessing that’s the minor that accidentally put the info out?) so P must’ve took it upon themselves to find additional info. P also refers to Alex as a “mentally ill f****t who cut off their dick” so I’m almost certain this additional doxxing by P was done out of transphobia. As if the original accidental doxxing wasn’t already enough. Alex’s gender identity is NOT the main issue we should be focusing on since y’know they display predatory behavior and shit 😭
Also that is… interesting to say the least. I do not know who the person threatening to commit is and I don’t use Twitter/X for reasons like these. I’m curios as to what misinformation and edited evidence there was. A lot of the somewhat reliable stuff I’ve seen on Reddit (I also do not use reddit because it’s a cesspool of weird people.) has been analyzations of the document and pointing out possible font and formatting errors with the screenshots and things like that. The rest of it has been bullshit from people who like to support abusers.
From what I have gathered, it is indeed a mess. I just do not know what to think of it because I feel an obligation to take a strong stance even though the only relation I have to this situation is that I am/was a fan of TMC and mystifying oracle. I still have a hyperfixation on TMC which unfortunately I cannot forcibly turn off (one of the worst parts about ADHD on god is controlling the hyperfixations…) so like as someone who still enjoys the general idea of TMC I feel as if I should have this holy savior Jesus-level good stance that is perfectly pure even though I know that opinions and situations don’t work that way lmao.
Also, thank you, I will take care of myself :) I do believe in the “guilty until proven innocent” mindset when it comes to serious allegations like these and I am usually pretty confident in that. It’s only when I start getting involved in the discourse about it that I start to get anxious and unsure because… y’know, the internet is the internet 💀

Bestie I got to rant bear with me, delete it if you want idc. I need a place to rant for 5 seconds and forget about it immediately and scorch the earth. BPD things.
I didn’t feel like making an entire post that I’m just going to delete.
I was on Reddit (yeah I know, but it’s the only place where I can bitch about Starfield, and how awfully fucking boring it is), and I had to displeasure of coming across r/DeppDelusion, and I think you already know what tf that cesspool is.
Against my better judgement, knowing it was going to make me mad, I still scrolled through it (i know…i already know). Really to find out about the stint that trash’s supporters have on Momoa. Turns out, Hughes’ therapy notes got leaked. I’m not going to tell you what they entail entirely, but there’s just so much delusion. Such as the fact Heard alleges several more rapes, like a fuck ton. There’s a lot about fact that Momoa constantly provoked her, dressing up like John on set of Aquaman, which I’m guess is just the bohemian style (which Jason dresses like but go off sis). Which brings me up to speed.
There’s a post that discusses the SA & rapes, compiling them from Hughes’s notes. There’s a comment (that I agree with), essentially said that “Hey we shouldn’t on to posting extremely private info that is not public”.
Tumblr media
Then every fucking comment after it, is just “lol but it’s for all the victims tho”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just stare at this disgusting thing with me, because as an victim of abuse this pisses me off.
I seriously can’t IMAGINE having my story of rape being martyred so hard and viciously that respect isn’t given to me. That the respect that my bodily autonomy was taken away from me, is being broadcasted “for other victims”, that’s not done in a delicate way. These dickheads are so absolutely disgusting that they don’t give a shit that what’s in discussion is fucking rape, but the fact that it all needs to be “public”.
Imagine being humiliated like this. It’s like they want the shock value to drill a point. You can make this same exact point without making her a SA version of Joan of Arc.
If this was me, I would feel violated two times over.
Of course <redacted> probably thinks this wonderful because she’s attention seeker who just wants to be noticed every 5 seconds, if she’s not looking for it. Fucking disgusting cockroaches.
lol also that “friend nobody likes” is fucking Fartlow.
Sorry for the super long rant.
It’s the “ we know case through and through, and read everything.”
Yet they still drag out the text messages and shooty pictures
Man Amber and Johnny bei ng together really was worst decision no matter who or how you view it because the takes following everything of them being dog shit

I promise I didn’t forget about you @lunapwrites, it just took me a bit to put my thoughts into (a lot of) words.
You said: I am... Extremely interested in this. Especially because my personal HC for Arithmancy and Runes is literally like Wizard Coding. Here for it.
I do agree that Arithmancy and Runes are like wizard coding, because I do think they share a lot of hallmarks of what we traditionally thing of code looking and acting like: you input a combination of symbols/numbers/letters into a text based system and get an output of whatever the code is supposed to do (ie magic, formatting your website, running an application, etc).
I should clarify that in my original post, I was thinking more scripting languages like Python, since that's what I’m currently studying, and it's specifically scripting languages that I was thinking resemble spells in canon (versus other types of code like markup languages (html) or compiled languages (C)).
I think of Arithmancy and Runes as closer to a compiled language— the finished product is a set of instructions /compiled/ into an application that works with the data it's given. In other words, you build the whole thing, then it can run the steps you built. Potions, in some ways, also fits into this category.
Scripting languages, otoh, aren't compiled, and are (at least, as I'm using here*) interpreted /scripts/ or individual pieces of code where specific actions are associated with each piece. It's faster and easier to use, and can, in many cases, be used piecemeal.
The linguistic methodology of spells in Harry Potter (specifically what we see of Defense, Transfiguration, and Charms) functions similarly to the syntax in scripting languages. One command performs an action, often but not always on a subject/input.
So you can use a command like print() where the text you want the application to spit out is in parentheses, and likewise you can shoot sparks, where you choose the color of sparks either mentally or verbally with a variant of the same command and directed wherever you point your wand.
Likewise, the commands are highly specific— for magic, the wrong wand movement or pronunciation can have disastrous results or be a completely different spell; for code, the wrong word or missing punctuation can cause a crash or a different action than intended.
Everyone I know who uses scripting languages regularly
1) has scripts they know off the top of their head,
2) has a file somewhere with the scripts they use just often enough that they forget in between uses, and
3) still has to google specific code or situations because they don't remember or don’t know exactly what their looking for.
So what I was struck with (as I looked up a highly specific command in a specific module which I've never needed before and will likely never need again) is that magic users would need to know a whole library worth of highly specific spells, and would probably still run into situations where they know there's a spell, but it's not one they've used before or regularly, and would have to look up and then apply that spell.
I would imagine that Hogwarts, not unlike a lot of IT/data science programs, start you off with a collection of easy and necessary scripts/spells, and teach a lot more theory than is initially obvious. It feels like you’re learning highly specific commands, which you are, but the goal of magical education is not unlike “learn to code” classes— to teach you the commands you’ll use so frequently you’ll never forget them, the rhythm and methodology of using those commands, and what to do when you don’t know the command.
Take switching spells for example— how often do you need to swap the positions of two similar sized objects? Probably not often, but you might use other, possibly more complicated spells that have two fixed objects, and it will use the same fundamentals and application, you’ll just have to look the spell up when you need it.
A final note on the application of this knowledge is that jobs that require coding knowledge typically involve a portion of the interview in which you prove your ability to fix or write code, sometimes in a specific language, and sometimes in whatever your preferred language is, so long as it's capable of performing the required tasks. However, once you get the job, they might have specific scripts that everyone uses within that team/company's specific function (in my last job, someone literally emailed me a 5 page long list that they'd been adding to since they started working there).
So it's reasonable to assume many wizarding world jobs both require a sort of “magical interview” where the interviewee is asked to perform specific spells or solve specific problems, and then once they get the job, are told the commonly used spells in that job. A person with good reasoning skills or a large working knowledge of spells would have an advantage over one who didn’t, but a person who already knows the specialized spells would have an even greater advantage in the interview process, but not necessarily after that.
(As a side note, code == magic adds a bonus layer to Snape's character specifically. We know he creates his own spells/code with the primary goal of hurting others, creepily pines for a girl who “friendzoned” him and hasn’t talked to him since they were fifteen, joined a terrorist org, and complained that other magical people don't use logic enough. Tell me he doesn’t hang out on the worst parts of magical Reddit/4chan/etc.)
*the actual languages that fit into scripting vs compiled aren’t necessarily cut and dry, and there are several that are used for both categories, where the individual scripts are compiled into a full application and used as such. Similarly, I think some transfiguration and charms could be used more like a compiled language— think of Hermione's bag with the undetectable extension charm, or Sirius and James' mirrors.

Ok so I thought I'd put together some horror stories from my time as a babymetal fan bc of how drastic the shift in the fandom has been the past year or so. For context I got into babymetal in like june of 2014 (all 3 girls were still underage at the time, I was 22; when I first got into them I thought I would be considered an older fan lmao the naivete, the innocence of new fan me wow I know now I'm not at all in the older half of the fandom esp considering I was born the same decade as su and moa), and I made this blog in I think may of 2015.
I've had people say I should compile men being gross into a post and I just couldn't do that out of fear for my own mental health but this will be pretty close. These are all my experiences with this fandom over the years; I'm definitely missing some but what I do remember should do well to cover most of how this fandom used to be vs now. It's gonna be a lot and tw for men being gross about minors.
Back in my first year or so of this blog I on multiple occasions got dms from men asking to be friends. At the time my bio only said my name and my pronouns. I've always been cautious of dms so I'd ask their age and every single one was considerably older than me. I wouldn't usually answer after that bc no thanks but they would generally try to continue convos til I blocked. The only one I still had was this one
Tumblr media
After I put my age in my bio, which was 23 at the time, I never got a dm like that again; take from that what you will. But if you're young please be wary of this hell fandom even now. And if you're an older fan and esp an older male fan reading this, don't dm people trying to be friends. I was over 18 and it still creeped me out to no end.
One of my real first men in this fandom are disgusting moments was a blog back in like 2015 or 2016 who I had some contact with due to common interests; he was a huge yui stan and made bm content. He was like 28 or 29 at the time and I eventually noticed he would tag idols, mostly kpop girls, by their body parts (legs, butt, etc) which is disgusting enough as it is but then I saw him do the same for literal minors, like tzuyu from twice. I messaged him asking what the hell he was doing objectifying women but also actual children and he blocked me lmao. He later unblocked me to let me know that's just how he tagged things and it was my fault he had anxiety and then he blocked me again.
Back before the tumblr purge this fandom was repulsive to a degree I cannot even begin to describe. Someone would reblog something from me, I'd go to their blog and it would be underage jpop idols and japanese p*rn all the way down. I even stumbled upon a man editing underage su into p*rn gifs. Obviously no proof of that but I did go find my initial reaction to it
Tumblr media
The number of times I'd get a follow from someone then go to their blog and it would be as mentioned above or their bio would be the most misogynistic trash I'd ever read was staggering. I genuinely considered giving up and deleting this blog so many times bc i felt oberwhelmed and outnumbered by these gross old dudes; and so the fact that this fandom has evolved into a bunch of chaotic wlw?? Amazing, I could cry.
Fun phenomenon of women running bm blogs was men sending messages asking if we liked babymetal. No joke. I think this happened to me two or three times but I spoke w other female creators at the time and it had happened to them as well. My entire blog is babymetal, and yet???
Tumblr media
He said the weird guy idk bc he sent some random ass messages vaguely insulting me and when I responded coldly, he acted confused so I said you're some guy idk, hence the above message starting as such. Also that pic and the one up above that has my current pfp bc I just took those screenshots. Like I said I typically blocked weird dms but I guess these passed me by so I still had the messages.
Most people know the sub reddit is the worst and don't need me to tell you but it's a hellscape and I highly recommend avoiding it. A short list of things I've had to see as a result of going there: men discussing at length kano and momoko's appearances and how they look in costume vs in normal clothes. Men discussing at length the hope that the girls would marry men who aren't Japanese, a thread that was from when all 3 girls were underage. They aren't gonna marry you dude they're really not.
The insulting of billie Eilish, a 17 year old at the time, was horrible too. Su and moa got to meet her, something they were extremely excited for, and they posted a pic; the comments were disgusting as you can imagine. The yui rumors were terrible too, fatshaming, slutshaming etc all based on nothing. Some man saying the rumors about yui leaving bc, no joke this was a real rumor, she "got too fat" couldn't be true bc "look at saya." Saya being a barely 18 yo back up dancer who covered the third spot after yui left but before the avengers. Not to mention the upskirt shots from when they were minors, the constant editing of their faces onto explicit photoshoots etc. I remember being a new fan looking for a su pic on google and being horrified at the fact that one of the top suggested results after her name was “bikini;” she was 16 at the time. Also, the uptick in massively creepy posts and messages sent to bm blogs as each girl, but esp moa and yui, approached 18 was disgusting.
Now for some personal nonsense. A big reason why I haven't touched my youtube channel in months is bc I got tired of dealing with the men of this fandom. I poke fun at metal and get told I deserve to die. I say ped*philes and creepy men are gross and get a swarm of middle aged men cursing at me. Had a guy cry about how men are shamed for liking bm and then he turned around and said some gross shit about wlw. Had a guy call me racist for liking a band he also likes (and despite him having no way of knowing my own race) and tell me the babymetal fandom doesn't need my kpop feminist bullshit, which is honestly a great description and I thought about putting it in my yt about lmao. Had a middle aged man unironically say he'd never seen a man be creepy towards bm but fans su and moa's ages calling them hot was creepy. The disillusionment....the level of unawareness is astounding. If you want to see screenshots of some of these comments they are fairly recent in my don't mind me tag; I don't want to see them anymore tho bc they're infuriating so I'm not going to look at them to post here.
Essentially I haven't looked at my channel since may bc men are exhausting and rude and refuse to examine the fandoms they're a part of no matter what. They're told by a woman of the fandom that she's had bad experiences personally and they all start crying about how it's either a lie bc they haven't seen it or unimportant. I did stop reading comments in may and I will never read another one again probably as a result of this shit. Trash men being trash are not worth my time and I refuse to give them anymore of it. I do plan on making more videos tho and let my ~feminist kpop bullshit~ live in their minds rent free.
I will also continue to make fun of metal and the creepy men in this fandom bc it's important and I'm a spiteful asshole who likes disrupting these dudes perfect bubble of a fandom. It genuinely brings me so much joy seeing all the new fans recently (which sidenote if you got into them recently I am kinda curious as to how you found them; I've gotten tons of new followers and considering how inactive they are rn I'm curious). People sending messages about how they finally feel like they belong or that they have a safe space....like I don't even know what to say and I never feel like my responses fully convey how genuinely wonderful that is and how thrilled I am that this is where we're at now and I have had at least some part in it. As this post shows, my experiences have been negative for the most part so the shift recently is such a relief I cannot even begin to explain my gratitude.
So to anyone who read all of this and hasn't disintegrated from the male bullshit, thank you. Keep being yourself and fighting for your place in this fandom, esp if you're a young woman; keep making fun of the creeps and keep making wlw memes!! Babymetal's music is in such a huge way meant for girls and to see more and more finding their way to this previously hellish beyond belief fandom is incredible.

DIY for Transmasc Minors/Those still living with unsupportive family
For context, I'm just turned 17, still living with my parents and live in the USA. This is just my experience! It may not be the best/easiest way to go about DIYing. I'm going to do my best to make this as comprehensive as possible, and please let me know if anything if incorrect or if I should add anything.
Firstly, if you're under the age of 16, I don't recommend this at all!! DIY should be a last-ditch effort, after you've tried all else. Please seek therapy, a supportive friend group, and a good community before turning to illegal means, because, yes, purchasing and being in possession of T without a script is illegal.
What's it Gonna Cost?
For cost, you're going to need about $60 - $115 of reliable income a month. Depending on the site you use, and how many millilitres of (injectable) T you purchase, that's going to vary, but $60 is the typical minimum I can find. Don't forget shipping is going to be around $15-30.
This only includes the T!! Don't forget you're going to need needles, bandaids, and alcohol swabs if you're injecting, as well as blood tests.
What Kind of T?
Whether you use gel or injections is entirely up to you and your comfort. However, please avoid orals! Those are just gonna wreck your liver, no matter how painlessly tempting they may be.
Gels run more expensive, but with injectable, there's extra purchases/packages to be had.
Hang On, Blood Tests?
To make sure your levels are in a safe/normal range, you're going to need a blood test. If possible, look for Quest or LabCorp-esque places to get proper bloods done. I was too nervous to do that, given how closely my parents track my every move while I'm not at home, so settle for finger prick at-home tests if necessary. Unless the site advertises Discreet Packaging, I highly recommend having these sent to a friend and picking them up at school/when hanging out.
Do one before starting T, one at Month One, Two and Three, respectively. Based on your levels, adjust or figure out your dose. If everything is typical at Month Three, you don't have to test again till Month Six. After that, check at your One Year mark, then yearly thereafter.
Where/How Do I Get All This?
eroids.com is the first place I turn to when looking for places to order T. You can read reviews for each site listed, and get an average rating from people who've used the sites. If you want to go for gels, I suggest poking around Reddit and finding other people who've DIYed with gel, and asking them for their opinions and recommendations. Make an informed decision no matter what you choose, and spend PLENTY of time researching.
For needles, bandaids, and alcohol swabs I honestly just use Amazon. MAKE SURE you mark your order as a gift, or else you're probably going to run into the issue of the packaging being marked with "medical supplies." Imagine your overbearing parents seeing that and ripping open your package, and immediately assuming you're spending your days in back alleys shooting up. Not fun. Take my word, and learn from my mistake.
As for bloods, just poke around till you find a test that takes your free T and total T both, or go somewhere and have it done proper.
Now, you might try using a PO box to not worry about your family seeing any packages arriving, or having it sent to a friend with more relaxed/accepting parents. Later in the year (when I'm doing this) using the approaching gift-giving holidays to keep people out of your parcels might be plausible. Or maybe your family doesn't care. Ultimately, imagine the worst case scenario and judge what to do knowing your own situation.
Okay, But....Bitcoin
Ah, yes. Daunting, tricky Bitcoin. Majority of sites only accept Bitcoin as payment. But I swear it's not as bad or hard as it sounds. Your first issue is honestly going to be finding somewhere that doesn't require you to be 18+ to purchase it. Now, don't worry too much. For me, I got my older sister to put in all her details, and I just used my money to make purchases. You can do the same with an 18+ friend, relative, or relative of a friend's. Or, send an 18+ friend's CashApp the money necessary to make a Bitcoin purchase and transfer for you.
Now, my first order of T was only about $60, with shipping and everything, since I only bought 4ml total to begin with. If you buy a bigger vial, it's going to cost more. $60 was as much as I could spend without making my parents suspicious (they keep an eye on my bank account), so if you have a similar problem or a smaller spending threshold of concern, don't worry. Just spend your max threshold on buying Bitcoin as often as you can. The Bitcoin will be stored for you to compile and use later. Keep in mind its value may go down, so buy a bit extra if you're saving up over time.
I use an app called Edge to handle all my Bitcoin transactions. It's simple, easy, and you can use a card, a direct bank transfer, Apple Pay or Cash (if there's a Bitcoin ATM near you--no worries, there's a handy map in the app itself to lead you to the nearest one of those). I used Apple Pay, so unfortunately, I can't help with any other methods than that. You can also use CashApp, but Edge's verification went much much faster, and I was not in the mood to wait a few extra days.
There's going to be a fee, usually outlined before you select your payment type. I included that in the cost of the T above, which might be more or less.
And lastly, it's not instant. It usually takes a few hours, but if it's more than a few days, reach out to customer support.
Each site lists instructions with how to send payment once ordered. Just follow their instructions, and talk to them if you have any trouble. They're usually more than happy to help you send them money.
So I've ordered my T
Shipping times are going to vary!! Keep this in mind. If you used eroids, users typically include shipping time in their reviews. This may influence which site you pick. Domestic sites tend to have faster shipping and don't risk customs seizing your pack--if customs seizes a pack with an illegal substance, you're going to get a letter. That's pretty hard to find an excuse out of, way closer to impossible.
Typical processing times are 2-5 days, but may vary a little, depending on things that may include a lovely little pandemic. Shipping is typically 1-2 weeks for domestic sites, 3-5 weeks for international. Shipping prices tend not to vary much, however, no matter where the warehouse is.
Hiding Changes
This is going to be the tricky part. I've known some people to only go on T for three months or so, as to get some changes to reduce dysphoria, but not have family members notice. If you spend a lot of time around family, the changes are gradual and they might not notice. But keep your own safety in mind above all else. What's the worst that's going to happen if your family confronts you over your changes? How long will you be able to write off your voice as "a cold" before someone wises up? How much longer are you going to be staying with your family?
I'm out to my unsupportive family, so despite being discouraged from any transition of any sort, any and all voice changes I'm writing off as voice training. Facial hair? Minoxidil. More muscle? I've been working out. These may or may not be things you can use, so consider carefully.
Aside from your voice and facial hair, there won't be anything too difficult to hide or write off. Shave your facial hair away as soon as you get up if it develops/needs to be hidden. Consider and compile a list of excuses as to why your voice is changing in case of questions.
Hiding Supplies
This is going to depend a lot on your house and situation. Do you have animals, parents or siblings who invade your spaces and find your hidey holes? A piece of advice I read in an MtF guide to DIY is to hide something you won't get in trouble for where you plan on hiding your hormones, and see if anyone finds it over a few weeks. Repeat until somewhere safe is scouted.
I have small cardboard boxes I keep under my bed, in a cabinet I have in my room, and on my desk. Only bandaids are kept on the box on my desk. But the other places I hide things have an equal distribution of my supplies, so even if someone finds one box, I'll be able to continue HRT.
Try to keep your T much better hidden than other supplies. I'm in an arts-focused degree in college, and a very artistic person, so I've managed to write off needles and syringes as pieces to build a 3D art project for a portfolio. Try to find an excuse to use if your needles are found. Maybe the art thing works for you, maybe not.
Consider taking precautionary measures of removing/covering labels of your T if you're using an injectable kind. You might be able to get away with calling it a prop of some kind, for a TikTok video or something if it's found.
Disposing of Needles/Wrappers/Etc
Alright, so you've done your first shot of T, or applied your first gel packet. Congrats! Now, how to hide the evidence? Firstly, for gels, it won't be too difficult. Just use a plastic grocery bag and fill it with other miscellaneous rubbish and mix the wrappers in with that. Toss the tied bag in your own bin, or a neighbour's bin if that's safer. If that's not possible, do so at school.
Needles are a more tricky circumstance. If you're able to purchase and safely dispose a sharps bin, 100% do that. If you're in a place like me and that's not possible, go and buy some soda with twist-top lids, or get them from friends. Once the bottle is empty, you can toss needles into there. In my experience, 1ml syringes and the small needles used for T injections fit in these 500ml bottles no issue. I throw these sealed bottles in the bin once they're full. I know this isn't proper disposable, but I'm unable to get a sharps bin.
Never throw exposed needles into the bin, or leave them somewhere anyone or anything could possibly be exposed to them.
For T bottles, I've only ever found one site that sells it in containers smaller than 10ml. I'm not sure if the 10ml bottles would fit into the soda bottles or not, so follow the same procedure as disposing of gel wrappers. If that's not possible, use a sharp knife to cut open your soda bottle at the widest part and put the bottle in there, before using a strong adhesive tape (not scotch tape--duct tape or something similar) to seal the incision before disposing of it.
In Conclusion
I've left out a list of the changes T causes, and starting doses, because those are all easy things to find, which you probably know already. Regardless of what this small guide says, please keep your own safety in mind and do as much research as possible before moving forward with DIY, and know that I'm no kind of professional, and all this is based off my tiny bit of experience.
As of the original posting of this, I haven't yet started T. I'm going to start in about two weeks, however, and have gathered everything necessary. I may update this guide further as I take T.

hello i have a question: how do the superbabies get their names??
hello!!!  well i am glad u asked bc i went through a handful of names for the kiddos before settling on finn, maia, and stella.  here’s a lil background info so u understand how i picked the names, then i’ll get into how kara and lena picked the kiddos names
so In General (i say this as a disclaimer bc i am not a huge comics person, nor have i conducted extensive research on kryptonian culture/naming, and all my info came from a couple days trying to glean what i could from reddit/wiki/etc) male kryptonian names are monosyllabic, ending with a consonant.  female names seems to often, though not always, end with an ah sound (lara, alura, astra, kara, etc); all examples do end with vowels and seem to be exclusively polysyllabic, though all examples only go as far as three syllables at most
so that’s the background info, here’s the actual headcanon
so they start thinking abt names p late into lena’s pregnancy??  not Late late, more second trimester but just like just sort of brainstorming bc quite frankly, neither of them rlly expected for it to take, for them to make it out of the first trimester without something going wrong.  like??  they both hoped, but were still prepared for the worst and then it doesnt happen and then they’re like......oh my god we need a nAME
so kara never explicitly says it, but lena’s done her research, come to some conclusions abt kryptonian naming conventions and she notices that kara’s suggestions are basically falling well within these conventions, and she like......she doesnt know how to bring it up, not sure if she even should, but she starts narrowing her names to ones that follow kryptonian conventions
they sort of accidentally start gravitating towards like......celestial names??  like their list for girls names are populated almost solely with ~space~ names and all the boy names with similar meanings are things like atlas, things that no one wants to saddle an infant with
and then lena’s like eight and a half months pregnant and constantly uncomfortable and crying at every other thing and they’re watching the force awakens and kara’s almost dozing, and finn walks on and that giant fucking nerd like gasps and kara bolts upright and is like halfway to packing the car up to drive to the hospital bc, u know, when ur wife is nearly full term and gasps rlly loudly, the first general thought is LABOR???  but lena’s heartbeat is normal and she’s doesnt look like she’s in pain so kara’s kind of like ??  babe you’re nearly nine months pregnant, please do not make that noise unless its Time, i’m begging you, i am tired
but lena’s just staring at the tv, open mouthed, gaping bc holy shit she knows what they’re going to name their son, should they have a son
kara what about finn
what
we can name him finn
finn?  like star wars?
finn like star wars
and kara sits for a minute, just looking at lena, her mind still struggling to like process that lena isnt in labor, she should probably put the go-bag down but then she’s grinning bc her wife is an Actual nerd and finn is a good name, a solid name, something that can work for a little boy and for a grown man and kara goes finn luthor, i like it
and lena gets this sort of fragile look in her eyes bc she appreciates the gesture??  she does, and she loves kara’s insistence that she should be able to reclaim the name but she doesnt want it, never felt welcome to it and she sure as hell doesnt feel like saddling her child with it so she shakes her head a little and says very firmly finn danvers and that is finn danvers’s origin story
maia and stella are easier??  u remember that list of names they had compiled when pregnant with finn, well it’s 90% girl names like they were truly fucked if maia had been a boy but, well, it worked out.  maia’s the name of a star in the taurus constellation and it fits kryptonian naming conventions and honestly??  it just sounds nice, sounds right.  maia danvers.  it’s short and easy to spell and sounds good with finn, sounds like a solid sibling name with starting with the same letter (lena was......kind of adamant abt that like.........not making that mistake @ the universe)
and stella!!  means star and also part of the name of the baby bat from stellaluna, which was.........maybe one of the first books kara read on earth and like...........got rlly attached to...............
dont look up the plot of stellaluna and think abt sad and scared little kryptonian orphan kara zor-el reading it and imagining her mom finding her, telling her it was all in the past, taking her back to krypton, taking her home
ANYWAY stella also fit kryptonian naming conventions and sounded nice with maia and finn and like idk the best way to describe it but it just felt right??  like there kara and lena were, sitting in their dimly lit room and kind of staring at this little baby in the bassinet by their bed, this little thing that’s so quickly claimed her own piece of their hearts and they’ve been going back and forth abt names for a little bit, since they got her down for the night and kara breaks out her phone bc ofc she kept the list of names in her notes and she kind of scans them and then whispers what about stella and lena repeats stella and they look at each other and they just know, u know??
do the kids demand the story of their names a lot??  yeah tbh.  stella in particular and when she’s small she latches onto stellaluna like kara did, usually asks kara to read it to her at least twice before bed.  when she gets older it sort of hits her, the like significance??  like how many times has she dreamed of the same thing--not necessarily like her birth mom appearing and being like lol it was all a bad dream but more??  someone finding her and being like hey!  ur not completely different, ur just different from them!  but ur completely normal for us!
i like how this went from p light to like haha have some angst disguised as fluff

Barely a year into existence, Bitcoin Cash appears headed for a hard fork, with nChain’s Craig Wright and Bitmain’s Jihan Wu on opposite sides.
One week after celebrating the first anniversary of bitcoin cash's split from bitcoin, Bitcoin ABC laid the groundwork for another schism. On August 8, the full node, which nearly 2/3 of bitcoin cash nodes run on at any one time, published planned changes to the network's consensus protocols.
Craig Wright, one of the most prominent figures in the BCH community, didn't like them. As chief scientist for nChain, the self-described "global leader in research and development of blockchain technologies," Wright's opinions carry weight with many bitcoin cash enthusiasts, despite (or perhaps because of) his assertions that he is Satoshi Nakamoto.
So, nChain announced on August 16 that it would launch its own full node, Bitcoin SV (for Satoshi's Vision). That full node contrasts directly with Bitcoin ABC in three main ways.
First, Bitcoin ABC wants to use a new opcode (or command), OP_CHECKDATASIG, which would "enable uses such as the use of oracles and cross-chain atomic contracts." In short, Wright wants to curb the adoption of any opcodes that would litter the network with non-cash transactions. For Wright, cash is the network's primary utility.
Second, Bitcoin ABC introduces canonical transaction ordering in v0.18.0. Canonical transaction ordering reduces how much data needs to be sent between nodes. The transition to this type of ordering may help scale the network in the future.
But that's too late for big block supporters, because the final and most important disparity between the software is block size. Bitcoin SV wants the maximum block size to be set at 128MB. Bitcoin ABC, meanwhile, sees the current 32 MB as a more reasonable limit for now.
Is All This Really Necessary?
Imagine that the Bitcoin Cash network is a small town with no stoplights. Should it construct a 4-lane highway with wide shoulders (so it can add lanes later) or is it better to build that 16-lane freeway right now in anticipation of the millions who might one day move there? Clearly, Wright has a vision for a widely used cash network. But the current blocks are nowhere near that size. Blockchair's lead developer Nikita Zhavoronkov took to Twitter to call Wright's proposed changes "unnecessary and dangerous," before concluding: "Almost all proposed changes are premature optimizations; no demand for that; this will only hurt the ecosystem."
Whether or not the changes are, in fact, dangerous is up to debate, but the core of the argument seems to be that the speed of growth will require code changes that may leave security holes if not carefully implemented.
The Miners Decide, but Who Are the Miners?
With Bitcoin Cash, it's governance by hashrate; Miners ultimately vote for what they want with their hash power. Therefore, all eyes are on what the major mining pools will do.
Coingeek, currently the largest pool, is aligned with nChain. In fact, as Coingeek founder Calvin Ayre explains, Coingeek is behind the push for Bitcoin SV:
"Because miners should drive the roadmap in the Bitcoin space, CoinGeek and other miners asked nChain to create a professionally-driven implementation of the Bitcoin full node software (for use on BCH) that restores the original Bitcoin protocol. CoinGeek is sponsoring the project and intends to mine with Bitcoin SV."
Other mining pools are aligning with Bitcoin ABC. These are spearheaded by Bitmain founder Jihan Wu, who operates the BTC.com and Antpool mining pools. Wu made waves recently by calling Wright "a fake Satoshi" on a private group chat, suggesting the nChain pitchman's article on opcodes was nonsensical.
ViaBTC, another pool which has received Bitmain investment, is likely with them. ViaBTC CEO Haipo Yang has previously sparred with Craig Wright over block times. (Yang wanted them to drop to 1 minute, instead of staying at 10 minutes, which is a holdover from prior to the BTC/BCH split.) After Yang expressed support for keeping block size to "a reasonable limit," he and Wright engaged in a Twitter dialogue that ended with Wright providing perhaps the worst insult in BCH land: "You ARE being core."
Yet it's unclear how much hash rate each side controls. According to figures compiled by Coin Dance, Coingeek controls anywhere from 27 to 29 percent. BTC.com, AntPool, and ViaBTC collectively control 16 to 21 percent. BTC.com's own pool distribution numbers, however, are showing huge strides by Coingeek. Over the past three months, it's claimed 20 percent; the last month nearly 30 percent; the past three days over 38 percent. Yet it removed unknown mining pools from the total; Coin Dance, on the other hand, classifies 27 to 30 percent of pools as unknown.
Still, supposing that BTC.com's numbers are accurate – and if Coingeek can persuade the mining pools that have not stated their position – Craig Wright may yet win this battle. What "winning" means in this context, however, is unclear. The Bitcoin Cash name won't be worth anything if the changes are as disastrous as Zhavoronkov implies.
To Split or Not to Split?
Craig Wright has done little to avoid a hard fork, but not everyone is eager to play a game of crypto chicken. Bitcoin Unlimited, the second largest Bitcoin Cash node (about one-third of total use), is trying to play peacemaker. Andrew Stone (who goes by theZerg on the Bitcoin Forum) published a compromise on Tuesday, August 21. In it, he diagnoses the problem:
"It is ironic that these changesets are mutually compatible, yet both groups reject the other's changes... Given the "no changes, no matter how reasonable, except mine" strategy being pursued by both of these organizations, I can only sadly conclude that this is again about power and ego not about technical merit and end user adoption."
He then puts forward a reasonable solution:
"I would like to propose a strategy for Bitcoin Unlimited for the near future. In essence, our message will be 'run Bitcoin Unlimited to vote for compromise'. The Bitcoin Unlimited client will incorporate features from both organizations and allow these features to either be activated via BIP135 (a generalized form of BIP9 miner voting via version bits), explicit configuration, or (development time and feasibility permitting) emergent consensus."
Who will take the compromise? At the moment, at least, Bitmain's pools seem locked in to Bitcoin ABC's updates. (It's already available for download, but network upgrades won't go into effect until November 15.) And Coingeek, as the funder of Bitcoin SV, is doubling down on the nChain product it sponsored.
Meanwhile, some outside the bitcoin cash community are suggesting a split might not be that bad:
Of course, Amaury Séchet (aka Deadalnix), lead developer at Bitcoin ABC, has his share of detractors, as well – and Bitcoin Unlimited's Andrew Stone strikes a neutral tone, laying the blame not with any one party, but with both. But commentators like Gün Sirer and Buterin have a point: Wright is hardly the ideal standard bearer for a cryptocurrency community. Better, perhaps, to let him go.
When in Doubt, Do Nothing
To muddy the waters, another (unlikely) name has suggested a solution. On August 23, Cøbra, the Bitcoin.org owner, announced Cobra Client, a "user activated no fork" that "is not impacted by any of the controversial new features of chain forks and respects all of the existing features and established consensus." In other words, it's the same Bitcoin Cash protocol currently being used.
Although it's unclear whether the anonymous luminary is trolling or at least half-serious, they maintain a rational philosophy: "When there can be no consensus, the best option is to make no change at all."
That proposal may not be enough to avert a Wright-led hard fork, but perhaps it's enough to stir Roger Ver, Bitcoin Cash's biggest cheerleader and most influential user. So far, Ver has stayed out of the fray. Asked on reddit on Thursday, August 23, what his "stance on the ABC/BU/SV-thingy" was, Ver (u/MemoryDealers) responded with, "Still evaluating."
The clock is ticking, Roger.

Look on one hand prople are all entitled to their opinions and we should respect them. But on the other hand whenever someone on reddit says that Jason Todd should have stayed dead I am simply overcome with the urge to kill them.
