I said it in the tags super early this morning but I think it’s worth making an actual post
I’m super disappointed in Georgia. I know it can’t be all wins all the time, and Stacey Abrams getting elected governor was still a long shot but I had hoped that enough people voted to give her a real shot. I wanted her to be governor so bad, I was so looking forward to it.
And honestly, the Warnock/Walker race being this close is even more upsetting and distressing because Hershel Walker was just about as unqualified as Trump so clearly we still haven’t learned our lesson here in Georgia
I was so elated and hopeful when we went blue in 2020 and won the senate in our run off, I’m still hopeful, we’ll likely have another run off and hopefully we can come out and show ourselves as blue again. We’ve still got a lot of work to do Georgia but I believe in us

I often say that a vote is a kind of prayer for the world we desire for ourselves and for our children. Voting is faith put into action.
…democracy is the political enactment of a spiritual idea, this notion that each of us has within us a spark of the divine, that we were created in the image of God; and if you’re not given to that kind of religious language, that’s fine, our tent is big. Simply put it this way - each of has value, and if we have value, we ought to have a voice, and the way to have a voice is to have a vote to determine the direction of your country and your destiny within it.
I know that the days are still difficult, the times are dark, but the light, the scripture says, shines in the darkness and the darkness overcometh it not.
- Reverend and Senator Raphael Warnock

Brian Tyler is always a good watch. His program is pretty solid with breaking down legislations that have passed, and the technicality of the language.
The predictably thing about republicans is that they don't care who the candidate is, or their morals - and hershel has a massive scandal trailing his name, among the controversies of his lies, and the lies atop those lies, and his "honorary" sheriff certification (which is a plastic star like you get in the kids section of the gift shop).
Hoping not just that the turnout for Rev Warnock is solid for a reputable individual who advocates for lower costs on pharmaceuticals, and who has been an advocate for farmers in the Georgia state. And here's to hoping people turning out to vote, are allowed to vote.
Georgia is deep south, and there are a lot of fuzzy, white Q-tips who want a pretend sheriff to take a seat and check the smudge words on his hand for what to say and how to vote come the passing of legislations and bills to reform.

It’s not the best letter ever, but 25 senators signed off on a ceasefire letter to Biden on 2/14
It’s not the best, but it is so much more than we have been getting. Calling is WORKING. Protesting is WORKING. DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE!

Quavo, who lost his nephew and fellow Migos member Takeoff to gun violence last year, is turning his grief into action.
The Grammy-nominated rapper and philanthropist joined forces with the Community Justice Action Fund to meet with members of Congress in Washington, DC on Wednesday for a panel discussion on gun violence prevention.
Led by Georgia Sen. Reverend Raphael Warnock, the panel discussed effective community intervention strategies as well as gun violence in Quavo’s native Georgia and the power of art and culture in anti-gun violence advocacy.
Kudos to Quavo for using his grief to become empowered!

"Since the last time I was here, Mr. [Herschel] Walker has been talking about issues that are of great importance to the people of Georgia. Like whether it’s better to be a vampire or a werewolf. This is a debate that I must confess I once had myself. When I was seven. Then I grew up. In case you’re wondering, by the way, Mr. Walker decided he wanted to be a werewolf -- which is great! As far as I’m concerned he can be anything he wants to be, except for a United States Senator. This would be funny if he weren’t running for Senate.”
-- Former President Barack Obama, on Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker, while campaigning on behalf of Rev. Raphael Warnock for Georgia’s U.S. Senate runoff election.
President Obama might be showing up frequently in Georgia as a surrogate for Reverend Warnock just because he’s having so much fun eviscerating Herschel Walker.

Please read on for a personal message from Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock: Friend – thank you. I’m grateful to have grassroots folks like you standing alongside me in our critical fights for justice. Our midterm elections are taking place this November, and I need your help.
With Democrats’ razor-thin majority in the Senate, Republicans have to flip just one seat to retake control – and experts say that I’m the most vulnerable Democratic senator up for reelection. Mitch McConnell and his GOP allies are flooding Georgia with millions to defeat me, and GOP super PACs are smearing me with attack ads. We need to fight back now – but I don't take a dime from corporate PACs, so I'm fully relying on your grassroots support to power this campaign to victory.
I won't sugarcoat this, friend: We just fell short of our critical mid-month goal – and the timing couldn’t be worse.
FiveThirtyEight says our race could decide Senate control – so Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and the entire GOP establishment are coming after me as their TOP target for defeat.
Trump is holding major rallies and megadonor fundraisers with my opponent, Herschel Walker (R), and Republicans have flooded his campaign with more than $20 million to defeat me. Now, polling shows me 2 points down.
I'm in this fight to restore reproductive freedoms, defend voting rights, and more. But with national Republicans pulling out all the stops to flip my seat, the only way we can pull ahead and win is with an immediate surge of grassroots support.
Every dollar has the power to decide this race, friend – so I’m counting on you to give as much as you can spare to help us close this budget gap.
Do not forget, if you have the time and money donate, if you don’t have the time or money spread the word.

MLK Day- Are We Losing Focus?
2day, Al Sharpton & Co. R celebrating the 60th Anniversary of The March On Washington. Sharpton is also pushing a Kumbaya Hate Crime Bill. My problem, is EVERY GROUP has specific Hate Crime Legislation, except ADOS. Yelling @ Asians, European Jews, & LGBTQ... is a Hate Crime; but Police Officers can beat on little Black Girlls, & White Men can shoot Black Boys in the back w/ No Reprisal. Rafael Warnock can get 'Jim Crow' Joe Biden 2 speak @ Eberneezer Baptist Church, but couldn't get him 2 address a Black Agenda, or Reparations specifically 4 American Descendants Of Chattal Slavery.
Instead, Biden spoke about supporting Dr. King's legacy of 'Faith'... Really??! Joe Biden was a disciple of Robert Eastland & Strum Thurman- both HATED Dr. King! R We supposed 2 believe that Biden didn't share their sentiment? It's an insult of the Highest Order 2 have an architect of Benign Neglect Policies speak @ Dr. King's Church; let alone on his Birthday. I can't blame Joe Biden, he's doing what he has always done w/ Blackfolk. He tells Us that he supports 'Opening Doors of Opportunity'; meanwhile, he's working on legislation that will keep those Doors 'Closed'.
Raphael Warnock & Al Sharpton R the individuals that I blame. Both espouse the virtues of Dr. King- 'The Dreamer', but never speak of MLK- 'The Warrior'. Why didn't Warnock remind Biden that Dr. King was 'Coming 2 Washington- 2 Collect Our Check', when he was betrayed & assassinated? Why didn't Al Sharpton have the Courage 2 single out Anti- Black Racism as the #1 Hate Crime in AmeriKKKa? We have a Historical Record that justifies specific Hate Crime legislation; We don't need 2 ride on ANYONE'S coattails 2 make a legitimate argument.
It looks like Our Political Leaders R fine w/ phasing Blackfolk out of Civil Rights. Warnock seems beholden 2 Biden, despite the role that Black Georgians played in his Election. Al Sharpton seems beholden 2 his 'Memorandum Of Understanding' w/ Comcast/ NBC. In return 4 their treachery, R both 'Reverends' getting their 30 Pieces of Silver? This blatant disrespect of Us only tells me that The Powers That B have been forced into speeding up their Time Table. We're gaining momentum faster than They expected. Their Agents of White Supremacy R getting neutralized.
-In a nutshell: It's Coon Hunting Season!

maybe we can get that football player Hershel onto the Karamo show, and just absolutely tank him in the december runoff.
Nothing more stressful than watching a lobotomize meatloaf running as the top man for a bunch of bitter white supremacist's that want an obstruction in politics.
Really hoping people will have the morale and inspiration to vote for Rev. Rachael Warnock in the Georgia runoff. Dude has already done so much for the Georgia people, he has so much planned to get the momentum to better their lives and really work with farmers in the area - which is a big deal.
Self-sustaining agriculture is essential to a state, and for exports. And the supply chain from an agricultural standpoint has not been the high focus in this midterms, because people have their heads on inflation prices AND healthcare access (for women). But Rev Warnock has made worked to make insulin more affordable. As well as preserve social security coverage to eligible citizens.
And Rev. Warnock is a strong man. You can tell by his delivery in his speech he doesn't take talk, he doesn't back down. He gets shit done. He's a force of nature, and the republicans don't like that.
Arizona went blue. And Arizona is the most white, racist, second to texas in "my right to carry an assault rifle".
