Special screening of the re-release of #anvilthestoryofanvil #documentary followed by live performance from @anvil.metal. Incredible time. I first met #Anvil in 2009. I was playing drums for Beautiful Creatures at the #rocklahoma festival. We shared a connecting flight from Dallas & a shuttle to the hotel w/ them. Got to know them a bit back then. Great dudes. So happy to reconnect last night, especially w/ my #drummer brother #robbreiner. The #film is coming out again soon. You must see it. It’s a beautiful & hopeful story, very funny, & well done. Here’s a few frames from last night. Went w/ my good mate @jamesgoldingmusic. #metalonmetal 🤘🏻 @lipsanvil @steveo #metal #rockumentary #musicdocumentary #musicfilm #sabantheatre #beverlyhills #music #musician #musicians #concertphoto #musicislife #inspiration #musiclover #rockconcert #rockshow #filmscreening #heavymetalband #heavymetalpioneers #heavymetal #anvilband #rocknroll https://www.instagram.com/p/Ci4I1u_OfEp/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
In other news, So What?! has a fuckin shit lineup this year
No, it’s really not that bad, I guess, I’m just wondering what fuckin year it is. Also who the hell pitched Skillet as the day two headliner????
I like… 14 of the 60 (I think) bands on the bill sooooo… yeah, I’ll pass. Sucks cuz this is the closest big festival to me since the Edge went under :(
Gavin- "My younger son [Zuma, 15] is having a relationship with country music. That is a worry"
Piece of Crap
Totally. He’s a horrible person. Full stop. Notice he didn’t say his feelings about country folk and their culture to the crowd at Rocklahoma. But he throws his 15 year old son under the bus and ties it to promotion of his greatest hits. He wants Zuma to feel shame from as many people as possible.
And I should note that my views on gun violence may not even be far off from that douchebag’s but making leaps to shame his kid publicly and villainize Blake publicly … what a completely despicable, self-serving, fragile, jealous person GR is.
The Moscow festival is one the best rock crossovers in history
Sad we don’t nothing like this anymore
Honestly, there are so many festivals around but I don't think they are promoted like they once were. The other thing is the huge bias against new glam bands makes people overlook the current festivals, or some idea that a festival must be in a gigantic stadium and promoted everywhere to count. Things like M3, Hard Rock Hell, Hell & Heaven Fest, Rockville, Sonic Temple, Maryland Deathfest, Copenhell, GrasPOP, Fullforce, Hellfest, Rock Fest Wisconsin, Inkcarceration, Glam Slam, Leather Duchess' Leather Fest California, WAKEN, Beyond the Gates, Rebellion Fest, Bloodstock, Summer Breeze, Full Metal Cruise, RokIsland, Sweden Rock, Beale Street Music Fest, Shaky Knees, Milwalkee Metal, Glastonbury, Tons of Rock, Ressurrection fest, Rocklahoma, Blue Ridge Rock, Aftershock, Power Trip, Picktown Palooza.... and so on.
ALL of those Festivals are either exclusively glam and rock or include a number of glam and rock bands. The whole idea that we have nothing like Moscow anymore is a load of nonsense.
Every year I feel like there are TOOOO many things like it that I want to go to and can't.
