Here are the some choice background Rokumons. I overdid it during my screenshotting and ended up with 45 of them, but here’s a fifth of that. He’s a shape! At first, I honestly thought that Rumiko was parodying her chibi characters by making him this kind of grotesque cat thing with a human face. By the end of it though, I considered him super adorable.

She soon learns that Rinne is a bit shinigami(namely a god of death, tasked on ferrying lost spirits into the afterlife should they linger any more in the realm of the living)and a bit of human.Unfortunately he has inherited an immence debt and lives in absolute poverty, thus he moves into an abandoned building on the campus of the high school, with his black cat assistant, Rokumon. Her curiosity about her new classmate piqued, Sakura begins to accompany him on his jobs and learns more about the afterlife and her own childhood. She comes to learn that the woman she met was Tamako(image below), Rinne's grandmother, and she soon becomes swept up in Rinne's daily exorcisms around the school and together they journey into the afterlife, visit hell, and help lost spirits find their peace.

As their relationship continues, Rinne gets in love with Sakura and she becomes even more involved in the world of the afterlife, meeting other shinigami, their black cat companions and numerous spirits both good and evil.

Mon Colle Knights Dub

I discovered that the dub is available on archive.org, so I decided to watch a few episodes featuring my favorite character, Gabriolis/Zaha. After hearing nothing but the original soundtrack for so long, it messes with my head to hear totally different dialogue and actors, but I am noticing some things about it (besides the hatchet job they did adapting it).

Has anyone else noticed that the voice condemning Gabriolis in Fangs for the Nightmare is Redda's? I know that's probably because they were dubbing as they went (gods know they changed Gabriolis' backstory enough times), but my in-universe headcanon is that this is the way Gabriolis remembers it because Redda deliberately messed with his memory.
