I am honestly sick and tired of the Scorose hate. Mostly because Scorose haters believe we ship them based on the Cursed Child when the Scorose fandom existed well before that. I never considered Cursed Child canon so I will keep shipping Scorose in my own terms.

In terms of writing fanfic, yes, I have quite a lot of ideas. I actually have started a fanfic which focuses on them from 5th to 7th year. However, I am worried about the execution and I don't know whether enough people will actually read it. But hopefully I can publish a few chapters in the very near future.

And no. I loved doing Rose Weasley art but it hasn't gotten a lot of attention. My blog is more well known for my writing and opinion pieces than my art. So I will stop doing that until I get inspiration again or if it gets more attention here.

christmas presents

all nervous, scorpius held a bag in his hands. oh, is this for me? rose asked and got all excited. she knew he wasn't too fond of giving gifts, which is why it meant a lot to her, that he spent time on preparing something.

yesterday i spent like two hours on doing the card, at some point even my mom got involved and wanted to draw something on it. but still, just don't expect a lot. scorpius explained and seemed to be a little timid. whatever it is, the fact that you put effort is what means a lot to me. rose said and kissed him, she was full of appreciation already.

while reading the card, which was decorated with the drawing of a huge heart and different stickers, she started crying. she could feel the love through the handwritten words and was overflown with happiness.

Lost Scorose Fanfic

I am forever searching for this fic, it was absolutely brilliant. It featured all the next generation with different chapters focusing on different characters. I remember it was 2 separate fics following mainly Scorpius, Rose, Albus and James in Hogwarts (James was seventh year and the others were in fifth year) I can’t remember the plot but there was a lot of angst and it was a gritty take on the characters with many of them becoming spoiled and bratty with fame. The second part continued the story after Hogwarts and included Lily as a seventh year playing a sort of mean girl character. Harry and Ginny divorced, I think in the second fic and Scorpius and Rose get together, he plays professional quidditch and they break up. But when Ron dies he appears without hesitation and she takes him back. James in an asshole in general but has a fling with a girl named Kate in the first one and meets her again in the second fic when they are older but she is engaged? Albus is full of angst and hates Scorpius, Rose and Scorpius sleep together in the first fic but Rose tells Albus it lasted two seconds and humiliates Scorpius. These are all the details I can remember also I know the author wrote a fic in the same timeline/universe about Rose when she was in first or second year and got kidnapped and they reference it a few times in the other fics. The name rubadubdub comes to mind for the author but I’m not sure. They were completed multi-chapters; like 80 chapters maybe. Please help me find it it was such a great read.

I don't think this would ever really happen but it's a nice idea for an AU. I just like the idea of evil!Rose while Scorpius and Albus and their friends have to fight her. I can just imagine the whole new Order of the Phoenix being made up off Weasley's.

Cycles of Revision

I wrote this two-shot months ago, felt ashamed of it, tried to rework it, didn’t get anywhere in reworking, thought oh heck, let’s just post it. I’m trying to be less of a word perfectionist and to accept that I’m still learning and growing. It’s not perfect, but it’s here, and it’s a labor of love and a new style of writing.

“Let him rest, Hermione.” Scorpius spies another pair of knees, the indent of movement under dress slacks. “Hatty will do it tomorrow.”

Hatty, the paid house elf: a compromise between his parents that feels more passive aggressive than cooperative.

“Scorp’s had a long day of practice.“ Dad’s voice sounds light, but even without seeing his face, Scorpius can imagine the lines marring his forehead. “He’s probably tired.”

His parents knees are parallel, and still. Very still. The air crackles with something. He can’t ever find the name for it, but it’s like how animals can sense an incoming flood. That’s how he feels about his parent’s fights. Intuitive. Primal. A sixth sense.

PS: This is not a happy Dramione story, but it is hopeful!

Hey could you maybe give me your favorite scorpius and rose fanfics? Also do you prefer them as rivals to lovers or unlikely friends to lovers ?

Hello there :))))

I have two favourite authors which write Scores fanfiction.

The first one is GraeLiars, and I have loved so many of her fan fictions. My favourite is This Is(n't) Acting. I also love Four Times Rose Weasley Woke Up in Places Other Than Her Bed and Grand Romantic Gestures (companion pieces). I also loved Adverse Side Effects (which sadly isn't finished). The last one is very slow paced but I loved it when I re-read it.

The second is @languidbones My favourite is a Bouquet of Scandals (at the moment it is perhaps my favourite Scorose fanfic I have read so far). It isn't finished but it has a lot of chapters. The Spectator and Art and Alchemy are fantastic too.

As for favourite tropes, this is very complicated. I am okay with every trope as long as it is executed properly. I have read quite a lot of Scorose fanfics that have the enemies to lovers trope and most of them are terrible. I think the execution of this trope is super hard to master. This is why I like Adverse Side Effects and This Isn't Acting. The characters develop a lot and they are put in situations where they have to work together and discover things about themselves.

In my own imagination, I picture Rose and Scorpius as competitive friends to lovers. I always pictured Rose and Scorpius having a lot in common and happen to get along very well but they are very competitive in academics and Quidditch. So, they don't actually dislike each other (quite the opposite) but they always want to beat each other at things.

why i still ship scorose

i want to explain why - after all these years and all these cute scorbus posts on the internet - i still ship scorose. 

rose x scorpius originated from this one quote by ron weasley in the last chapter of the hp series, where he asks rose to beat scorpius in all tests and not fall in love with him, as arthur weasley wouldn’t be happy. of course a lot of the potterheads loved the idea of a competitive relationship between rose and scorpius that eventually ended up in a romantic one. so did i. what made it even better was this juliet&romeo effect to it, as their dads strongly dislike each other. back in the early 2010s tumblr was flooded by endless funny and cute headcanons and fanarts that were created by scorose shippers.

sadly, cursed child was released and rose was portrayed as this intolerant and arrogant witch and scorpius was so obsessed with the idea of dating her, that - based on this play - the ship was a terrible one while scorbus seemed to be the ideal ship.

but here is the thing. i do not consider cc as canon and since i fell in love with scorose that much, i couldn’t simply change my mind and now ship something else. also, i drew a whole graphic novel about scorose which only made me love them more.

for me this ship is so meaningful because i am free in imagining a beautiful yet interesting love-story in this wonderful harry potter universe that we all love and basing their characteristics on their parents - some of my favourite characters.
