Court of darkness princes + Lou discover gingerbread houses

Fenn: IT’S CHRISTMAS GUYS

Lou: christ…mas?

Fenn: it’s a holiday where treasure’s from

Toa: from what she has told me, people from earth usually exchange gifts, decorate a tree and create a gingerbread house.

Roy: she has told me that she wishes to eat gingerbread but hasn’t had the time to make some.

Guy: how trivial. I’ll order Jasper to deliver some to her room.

Fenn: *sighs* as practical as ever

Rio: I think we should bake it ourselves. Think she would like it more!

Roy: I too believe she would appreciate the sentiment 

Lynt: shall we make a gingerbread house for her then?

Rio: I’ve got the recipe!

Lou: have you made this before master Voleri?

Rio: I haven’t, but I’m sure with six minds it can’t be hard to make.

Toa: let’s away to the kitchen then

After a lot of time and Rio basically remaking the whole thing, they managed to produce edible gingerbread.

Lynt: we did it!

Guy: you didn’t do anything

Toa: it’s not over yet. We have yet to assemble it into a gingerbread house

Roy: what manner of house do you think she would like?

Fenn: I imagine she would like a nice little cottage

Lou: and her favourite colour is black so we should drizzle black icing over it

Fenn: …we can’t make a black house

Guy: it’ll look more like a funeral home rather than a Christmas decoration 

Roy: I thought her favourite colour was yellow

Lynt: isn’t it orange?

Rio: there are chocolates of all different colours. We can use it to make a rainbow brick roof!

In the end, their gingerbread house looks like this:

They present their gingerbread house to the MC and poor MC has to try not to burst out laughing.

Here's what I've got so far

Toa

• Majoring in political science and government

• Works at a library

• Absolutely hates his major and would rather be in a music course, but he isn't going to defy Gilbert's wish for him to become a politician

• Gilbert and Roc have a political rivalry and are constantly spying on each other, so when Gilbert found out Guy was being raised to succeed Roc, he felt there was no other choice than to do the same with Toa

• Keep in mind, both Guy and Toa were both extremely young when this was decided

• Adopted Knight and brought him to college with him

• He found Knight during his freshman year knocked out in an alley next to a cat that had unfortunately passed away. Toa took him to the hospital and visited him when he woke up, only to discover he was homeless and has no memory. When Knight recovered, Toa snuck him into his house to live in his closet and receive basic education until college

Fenn

• Majoring in creative writing

• Got disowned, kicked out, and cut off immediately after turning 18

• Majoring in animal health

• Toa paid for the bulk of his course, but Knight is working to pay him back

• Works at an animal shelter

• Wants to be a vet

• Secretly lived in Toa's closet before moving out with him to attend the academy

• Has post traumatic amnesia from his past head injury, but neither he nor Toa can afford actual treatment

• Buuuut he starts remembering bits and pieces of his life from constant nightmares and hallucinations

Grayson

• Majoring in criminal justice and police science

• Wants to be a detective

• Wants to investigate his uncle and bring him to justice

• Loves his horse, Nox

• Traumatized by that one scene in The Godfather

• More scared of you than you are of him

• Unless you wanna talk about horses, Nox specifically

Description: Headmaster Lou has decided it's time the princes grow closer...the plan, to force them to compliment each other.

The Art of Compliments

In the S-Rank lounge, the chairs have been rearranged to form a circle, with tea and a tray of snacks in the middle.

Lou sits in one chair, smiling his usual bizarre and overly happy smile as he sips his tea. In the other seats around the circle are S-Rank princes and MC.

Lou: Thank you all for responding to my summons.

Lynt: *yawns*  I’d rather be sleeping.

Lou: Please stay awake, Master Akedia.

Roy kindly helps Lynt sit up tall in his chair, handing him a cup of tea to help keep him awake. 

Lou: I felt that it was important to try a little exercise that Miss Cassandra told me about from her experiences in the human realm.

Fenn: *leans in close to Cassandra* Ooh, Treasure, I would love to hear about all your experiences.

Cassandra: Not that kind of experience, Fenn.

Fenn: Aw, that is unfortunate for you. *grins and wraps an arm around MC pulling her close*  Would you like me to help you gain said experiences?

Cassandra: *pushes him away* No thank you!

Toa: *folds his arms irritatedly* Enough of this idle, inappropriate chatter. *shoots Fenn a condescending look* Please continue with the exercise, Headmaster.

Lou: I would like us to take turns. On your turn, I would like you to go around the room and compliment each person. Master Roy, let's begin with you.

Roy: *Turns to Fenn, who is seated next to him.* Master Luxure, your charisma and ability to foster camaraderie amongst those around you is truly remarkable.

Fenn: I always knew you held some deep feelings for me, Roy! Should we leave the room and meet in my chambers?

Roy ignores Fenn and continues with his pleasant, heartfelt compliments. Once he finishes everyone has a smile on their face, or at least a less serious expression (I'm looking at you Guy and Toa). Lynt is actually still awake. 

In turn, each other person present gives their compliments. Toa even managed to compliment Guy, who held his tongue and did not mock him for it.

Jasper enters presenting Guy with a fresh cup of red coffee.

Lou turns to Guy who is stoic as usual and holding the coffee Jasper has just presented to him.

Lou: Master Guy, it would appear you are the last one remaining to take a turn. Please proceed.

Guy: *scowling* Tch.

Jasper: *chuckling* Perhaps my master’s silence is the most powerful compliment of all.

Guy: *scowls harder*

Cassandra: *peers up at Guy from her place beside him and whispers* Are you nervous?

Guy stares at her and raises a sharp eyebrow.

Lou: No one will leave this room until everyone has performed the requested exercise. *smiles* Perhaps you would like to practice on Jasper.

Guy: *heaves a sigh before he takes a slow sip of his coffee*

Cassandra: *whispering* If you never say anything we'll be stuck here forever.

Guy: ...your coffee does not insult my tongue.

Jasper smiles as if he’s never heard anything more lovely in his life, while everyone else stares, fake smiles frozen on their face.

Jasper: What a lovely sentiment. I fear I might start blushing.

Lou: Ah, Master Avari, your unique ability to find eloquence even in the simplicity of a coffee critique is truly unparalleled. And you thought this would be hard. Please, proceed down the line now that you have proven your capabilities. Begin with myself, if you would.

Guy: *sips his coffee slowly, while all eyes are on him* This exercise truly showcases your unwavering dedication to time-wasting pursuits.

A few mouths drop open. But Lou seems as thrilled and happy as ever.

Lou: *smiling* See, Master Avari, it isn’t so hard after all now is it? Please continue around the circle.

Guy: Lynt, your napping ability is...an inspiration to those who dream of doing absolutely nothing.

As if on cue, Lynt snores from amidst his current nap.

Guy: Roy, your talent for maintaining friendships is...commendable, considering the varied personalities you have to endure.

The room is so silent you can actually hear a pin drop. Guy actually complimented someone!

Fenn: Ha! Do me next. *he shoots Guy a seductive look*

Guy: *cringes ever-so subtly* Your lack of venereal diseases despite your endless dalliances is astounding.

Fenn: *practically beaming* Why, Guy, I'm positively flattered! To think, my reputation precedes me even in the realm of health! My escapades are as meticulously planned as they are, ahem, fulfilling.

Lou: Continue Master Avari. Next, I believe is Master Qelsum and then Miss Cassandra.

Guy: *heaves a sigh as he places his coffee down and then looks at Toa* You’re not dead.

Lou: That’s a fact, Master Avari. 

Guy: Allowing him to stay in my presence and not die by my hand is the most remarkable compliment I’ll ever give him.

Roy: His assessment is not entirely without merit. *smiles courteously* Proceed with your compliment for Miss Cassandra.

Guy turns to Cassandra and takes her hands in his, gazing into her eyes.

Guy: In life's grand gallery, your kindness and beauty stand as a masterpiece, each stroke of virtue and grace painting a portrait of unparalleled splendor. And in the enchanting aura of your presence, even the humblest moments transcend the mundane, into a sublime work of art, woven with the threads of your captivating presence.

After Guy's unexpected compliment, he gently pulls a stunned and blushing Cassandra to her feet. The room falls into a stunned silence as Guy leads her out. Lou, Toa, Roy, and Fenn exchange incredulous glances.

Lou: *breaks the silence with a bemused chuckle* "Well, well."

Toa: *raises an eyebrow, his stoic facade momentarily faltering* I never thought I'd see the day when Avari complimented anyone.

Fenn: *uncharacteristically shocked* And who knew he had the ability to wax poetic?

Roy: *nods in agreement, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips* Indeed. It seems our esteemed colleague has hidden depths.
