I feel claustrophobic. Suffocated. Entrapped. Oppressed. Limited. It's the same room. It has been the same for years. My room. My space. The Safe Place. I don't feel the same comfort anymore though. I don't feel the same warmth in the sheets of my bed. I don't feel the same happiness that the pictures on my wall reflect. At one time, it used to be a bright, sunflower like yellow. Now, it just seems like a mouldy green. It makes me nauseous. There used to be so much space between these walls. Space to live, laugh, dance and create. Now, the walls are getting closer. The roof is caving in. I can't breathe anymore. It's eating me up. The fear. The foreboding. The guilt. I don't like this. Any day now. I'd be buried under the debris. It's happening. I know. Slowly. Gradually. It's taking me in. It's swallowing me. It's killing me.

I feel claustrophobic.

ok so um i was in the process of making a draft for a third wave of shitposts at like 7 in the morning but this specific one i made just gave me a whole ass fucking epiphany and i think it deserves a separate post so yeah

the context for this was questioning how the fuck sackboy was supposed (or was somehow able) to read that verbal diarrhea vex wrote as “topsy turver plans”

and this got me thinking for a solid hour.

when you consider vex to be a fuckagigajillion year old god it would make sense that his handwriting/spelling (i think we can just call this literacy) would be ineligible to a normal human (us) and possibly a sackperson because the rest of craftworld has signs, stickers and crap that are legible to us but for some reason vex writes like a meth child.

but i also dont think hed have much time to adapt to modern literacy because 1. he always seems to get his ass kicked in a relatively short amount of time and 2. he could care less about being able to write and spell in a way that we’re able to perceive.

or 3. this could possibly be how he personally perceives the letters and words he sees around craftworld/the imagisphere, and may just be recreating them in a way that he’s able to understand himself (and lets be generous, some of his letters are legible, or you can at least tell what he was trying to write)

but overall they turn out to be a jumbled and (somewhat) confusing mess since hes not fully used to modern writing. after all, languages along with their writing can change rapidly in the span of the hundreds/thousands of years that hes been in exile/purgatory when he gets his ass handed to him and it would be interesting to see if he includes letters that dont even exist in the english language anymore

This is less a "every individual who does this personally deflates me" and more "this trend on a broad scale feels ick" but the word "content" has been so twisted by corporate bull that it makes me grimace aksjfjg

Certainly when it's Art (and by Art I mean "made with passion over money" rather than a particular medium or quality) I've been consciously trying to use "work" (like "the works of Shakespeare" work) rather than "content" and I'd recommend it

#again no Individual instance stands out and this is very much a pet peeve that doesnt Really matter but #ive found when i view thingd as content it was easier to become detached rrom the emotion of it
