I was gonna save these to post when we got an official date for the final RvB season but who knows when that'll be so I'll throw them here now! I've never posted much cosplay on here but seeing as how my peak RvB days were on Tumblr it feels fitting that I post these here first :)

One of the main reasons I even got into RvB in the first place was because of @euniysu's art, and I fell in love with the Guns for Hire AU the second I saw it. These designs became instant dream cosplays of mine (honestly all of them did) and it feels fitting that ten years later just as the series is ending, I finally make them. It's also a way to celebrate 10 years since I found Rooster Teeth and fell in love with RvB (and saw these designs!). I'm so so happy I finally got to do these cosplays and I absolutely can't wait to wear them again (I'm York here but I made both cosplays and I'll be wearing Wash at the ren faire this weekend! It's time traveler's weekend and I think I'm funny lol). I don't know what it is about cosplaying York but i felt so Gender as him and am so glad everything came out well :)

Also I saw that Syn is gonna adapt the GFH AU into an original webcomic and I absolutely can't wait to see it!! I still love seeing and supporting Syn's art and y'all should def keep an eye out for it too!

Finally got to try the non-toxic bondo-alternative I bought from Aqua-Resin! It's fantastic! No fumes, cleans up with water and seems to dry just as hard as a solvent-based body filler. Definitely recommend this to cosplayers and hobbyists alike. I got the Putty W kit that mixes into a thin or thick paste consistency but they also sell normal liquid resin options. Dust is dust, however, so I'd still recommend a dust mask while sanding.

Helmet is my upgrade I 3D printed and had to piece together. Had a lot of gaps to fill and the A-R did the job.

This Weekend’s Dumpsterfire and The Future of TLRH

By now, most of us have seen what went down this weekend with a bunch of former Rooster Teeth employees coming forward about how they were treated by the company. @anneapocalypse worded it better than I ever could on Twitter, but none of this is news. RT has always been like this, and they’re not going to change. I hope they crash and burn permanently this time, so the malicious behavior of both HR and their higher-ups never hurts anyone again. I hope the underpaid employees, both current and former, are properly compensated for the work that they’ve done. And I hope Rooster Teeth is sued into the fucking ground.

I stopped watching their content (sans RvB) back during my sophomore year of college. I wish I could say it was because of some sixth sense that I had before I became aware of all the bullshit behind the scenes, but truth told, I just outgrew them. And now, with the full picture of the harm RT has caused coming into focus, I don’t think I want to be associated in any way with their content.

So what does that mean for The Long Road Home?

Well, considering the amount of work I’ve put into the damned thing, it’d be a waste to not finish it. I started writing TLRH because I had a gut feeling that the story I’d come to love wouldn’t be continued; that loose ends would never properly be tied up. Thanks, Apollo, you bastard.

I want to emphasize that I am, and always have been, writing this fic for myself. And I think I want to finish writing it for myself.

That being said, I need to address some hard truths;

I don’t think I can illustrate every chapter anymore. Right now, the thought of drawing the characters from a show that helped form the foundation of Rooster Teeth sickens me. I’m hoping that will change, mostly so I can keep building my skills as an artist. If I do illustrate the next few chapters, those drawings will likely only be of the original characters I’ve inserted into the fic.

There’s a real chance I might cut certain future mini-plots I had planned so I can finish the fic sooner and wash my hands of the whole ordeal. Anything that gets cut will be addressed in the Notes of the final chapter.

Once this fic is finished, there is a very real chance I will never write anything for this universe ever again.

I might need to extend my hiatus till the end of the year.

When I first started writing TLRH, I estimated that it would take me roughly 7 years to finish it. We’re now on year 5, and my estimate is looking to be accurate. Now that Arc 2 is finished, and we only have about 2-3 LFC’s (Long Fucking Chapter’s) left at the beginning of Arc 3, it’s going to be easy going from here, relatively speaking.

In short; I can probably post chapters faster. Which means I can get this thing over with sooner.

Don’t be alarmed, the story I’m trying to tell is still going to have all the nuance and love and whatnot that I intended originally. I might just need to take some time before I can find the drive to keep going. I’ve been falling out of love with RvB for a while for a number of reasons, but this is the final nail in the coffin. Still, like I said, I’m going to finish TLRH, and I’m going to do the story and characters justice. If only to say that I did.

TL;DR: Fuck Rooster Teeth, I genuinely hope this kills the company for good and that all the people it hurt are properly compensated. I’m going to finish my fanfic with flying colors and then probably never touch Red vs. Blue again, but some changes to the formatting will likely be made.

Well, I don't normally talk about these things, but it seems that, unfortunately, Rooster Teeth is shutting down(not sure if it's immediate or later on, though some stuff there seems to still be running at the moment).

Though I've only really been interested in RWBY from them lately(I did watch some of RvB, gen:lock season 1 and most of Camp Camp), it really does hurt to see it all going under and people being out of jobs.

For those that have been following me for a while, you probably know I did a RWBY cosplay with my then-girlfriend at 2 ACens(still have the hoodie we made to look like Jaune's), so possibly losing that before it properly ends hurts, too, though it seems like they are attempting to sell their shows elsewhere. Hopefully, all the old staff come back if RWBY gets picked back up(I'm sure they'd fight stay with it to the end).

Man, this decade kinda sucks.

Yesterday and today has been a whirlwind of emotions, (I've cried so many times in the past 2 days) especially during and after today's livestream. Rooster Teeth has meant so much to me over the years. From not knowing what RvB was, to becoming a fan/community member, to going to my first ever con (RTX 2018), to cosplaying favorite RT characters, to making new friends online during the beginnings of covid and meeting them in person, to becoming a Livestream moderator and getting to know talent and behind the scenes people, to helping out with Extra Life 2022, to meeting my boyfriend thanks to Rooster Teeth.

RT has done so much for me over the past few years and I can't thank them enough for the content they have put out and for the wonderful community that they cultivated over the years. I want to thank RT and the community for being so open and welcoming, and for making me feel at home. Feel like a big, crazy, amazing family. I will never forget the memories I've made because of them. ❤️

And for anyone that is happy or celebrating the fact that 200+ people lost their jobs yesterday, feel free to unfollow me because nobody at Rooster Teeth deserved to have their livelihood yanked out from underneath them.
