junko is 97lbs.

ryoko is 99lbs.

so there's definitely a level of junko just doesn't eat well going on there because ryoko doesn't care about that stuff and in a matter of, what, weeks? a month? not a long time she gains weight.

and like. from someone who has done the underweight thing (for a variety of reasons), i gained weight faster when i was most underweight and then stalled for a while.

really, this is indicative of yes, junko is underweight and yes, there's something wrong with junko's eating habits that doesn't show up when she's ryoko.

the question is whether this is an intentional not eating or a junko gets so focused on something that she forgets to eat.

that said.

this does not fix the issue with mukuro, who is also 97lbs and really should not be, ms. ultimate soldier.

Two things:

Kabru spent the bulk of his life, and all of his adolescence, being raised by an elf in the elven country where he interacted with non-elves very occasionally. He left and became an adventurer at 18, which is presumably when he started living in a diverse society for the first time.

Elves are short and thin and often androgynous in comparison to other humans. At ~5'6" Kabru is tall by elf standards, keeps his hair cut at a shorter length, and does not appear any more androgynous than your average male elf.

So: how long did it take Kabru to realize that in mixed/tallman company he is not, in fact, masc, but a beautiful butch twink.

I don’t really get this notion that Yuma is ‘just another DR protagonist’. For starters, he’s the only one in his group with amnesia and that’s a big part of the insecurities this time around- it’s identity issues, not just ‘normie who doesn’t belong with the rest of the group’. Obviously he hits some very similar beats, particularly to Hajime, but he handles in a different way to the DR folks in that he’s more uneasy about who he is, and he’s that much more dissonant over it

To put it in perspective, who knows how much memory he lost when he doesn’t even know how old he is much less anything to do with talent or objectives. Functionally, Yuma’s situation is the furthest from normal we’ve had so far, in a way that adds another dimension to the archetype

I DON'T MIND SHIPPING RYOKO WITH JOSUKE.

They'd make a great het couple. If it's canon for a Joestar to be het in the series, Ryoko is really up there in the list to be Josuke's future wife.

Out of everything Junko's done, I'd argue that the final Matsuda vs. Ryoko fight in dr0 best fits the phrase "mutual killing"

I like building the Mukuro/Junko/Yasuke friendship of just like. They verbally harass each other and play fight each other. All the time. That's how they show love. None of them ever really mean it.

Yasuke's just another sibling. They grew up together. They know all the little buttons and have all the inside jokes. And so many of them are murder because Mukuro was into assassination and military stuff and so many of them are derogatory comments on appearance because Ryoko was a seamstress/tailor (Ultimate Fashionista, baby!) and the only reason they don't have jokes about forgetting stuff is because for Yasuke, that's personal and it's not funny.

Yasuke's mom died and Mukuro and Ryoko straight adopted him. He's theirs now. You can't have him back.

(Junko tries to adopt Izuru the same way, but he's just. there. Does not want to be adopted. Doesn't get the inside jokes. What a failure, Kamukura-senpai!)

As Yui stood there in stunned silence, Ryūzōji pulled out the two envelopes from his inner coat pocket. He has white hair but piercing red eyes, dressed in a green business suit, sitting in his wheelchair.

One was black. The other was white.

“As soon as you take one of these envelopes into your hand, turn around and leave the room,” Ryūzōji ordered, pointing at the closed set of doors through which we had entered. “At that moment, the new world you have chosen for yourself will manifest beyond those doors.”

White or black.

Which would be the path towards actually saving people?

Yui didn’t know.

Which choice should she make?

she had no clue.

The only thing that rang clear to her 

Was the sound of her voice.

*Yui closes her eyes and with bated breath, she picked the white envelope….forever altering destiny as she knew it*

(Two month later…)

Samidare walks into the mall, it’s busy, bustling with life. She has a task to preform. Her cold green eyes stare at the dentists office. She walks inside, but the door makes no noise. She shuffled to the back where a red haired girl is busy getting her teeth cleaned. Upon making an I.D, the dentist leaves his office and in slips Samidare. The girl is Ryoko Otonashi, future Ultimate Despair. Yui turns on the spare tank, switching the gases over her mouth. Those red eyes bolt open, yet Yui’s strong hand grabs the mask, shoving it into her. After a few moments of flailing wildly, she succumbs to the poison gas. Samidare shuts it off and walks away as if nothing had happened, saving billions of lives. She takes a pack of cigarettes out of her packets and begins to smoke one.

(Three years later)

There is no longer a woman named Yui Samidare, only Yukio Akabane.  Construction begins on a city to rival Towa, as she travels to Hope’s Peak academy to fully uproot despair. Yukio easily gains access to the building, Once there, she snoops around for the one and only person who can stop her plans. Arriving in the research laboratory, Yukio waits until all the surgeons leave for the evening before slipping in. the patient, Hajme Hinata is undergoing Talent Development. Yukio stick him with a needle, she depresses the contents into his veins before his heart rate shoots up and comes crashing down. Hinata flatlines, thus ending Izuru Kamakura before he could be born. What was once joy in her eyes was unending pain as she was forced to murder her way through her bosses enemies.

(Present day)

The massive Kuma Kasino is open with hundreds of guests filtering out per hour. Skyscrapers stretch as far as they eye can see. Yukio consolidated her power, and now has a thriving “legitimate” buisness. Bear costumed girls as far as the eye can see and a large office for the once famed detective herself. Who were you to ruin all of this?
