I am big on no waste when I craft. So all my left over resin goes into furby eye chip and face plate molds. These are not perfect and will need some sanding BUT they are super cheap.

Eye chip sets are $0.25 and Face plates are $1. Shipping is $1 (us only) and international shipping is $3.

Last weekend's task: speaker transplant! Unfortunately, one of the baby Furbys from the original batch I bought was completely rusted/corroded in the battery compartment (I tried to clean it - but after 2 springs snapping, and the plate disintegrating I gave up). So, the primary baby has become a speaker donor for Baby Pink.

They've cleaned up pretty well! Both are up on ebay for sale.

Tomorrow's task will be extracting the only good spring from Primary's battery compartment to fix up a sleepy blue 2005 with a snapped corroded spring, and fixing chilla chilla's speaker wires.

I'm hoping the battery covers arrive this week, so I can get the Sand 2005 up for sale on ebay. I accidentally bought more Furbys...another Funky for under 70AUD including shipping (missing batter cover, and probably needs an upper motor fix), and a japanese batch (will be here on 8th!)

After locating some batteries to test Helian I am pleasantly surprised that they work! She says I am boring and has an adorable raspy voice. Her eyes don’t seem to function but I plan on pulling her skin (it is so grubby and an outer wash wont be enough) so I will be able to fiddle with her eyes and see if I can get them working again ovo

I had a dream that furbys were real and I was walking around a rich neighborhood and a woman had this planter thing out front, very bright and filled with colorful sand. She was trying to plant a lot of baby furbys (furbies?) in the sand (just make them sit in it basically) because they were all different colors and she coordinated them with the sand and she wanted to make them a pretty living garden fixture, like a flower arrangement. Except furbys. 

But they wouldn’t hold still. I asked her why she thought they would and she said she’d seen a friend with a similar display of bird-type furbys and they basically just sat there snoozing all day. 

I said yes, that was true of bird types, but like everyone knew, furbys could grow up to be bird type or cat type and the ones she had were too young to have decided yet. And cat types were NOT likely to sit still in their pretty potted sand displays like bird types would. 

I was petting a lovely little furby that was already looking very cat-like, who was yellow, but with bright purple legs, and tiny yellow toes, and striped ears, and telling her when they turned out to be cat types and she didn’t want them anymore she should call me and I’d adopt them all.

Furby Beak carving Tutorial!

 There’s plenty of other beak carving tutorials out there but this is for using a dremel to carve it!

What you will need: - 1998 furby/furby baby (probably would work with 2012/boom but I havent done it with those yet

- pencil

- dremel with small grinding bit (idk what its called)

- safety glasses/dust mask (important! be safe!)

- hot water/hair dryer (optional but honestly not really needed)

- paint (optional)

- cardstock (optional, for teeth)

Prep: Skin your furby and remove the beak.

1. Once you have the beak, put it in some hot water or use a hair dryer on it to heat it up. This is completely optional and I didn’t do that for the pictures in this tutorial and it worked just fine. It’s mostly if you’re using a knife to carve it or want less dust/etc. 

2. Use the pencil to draw the shape of the beak you want on it. I also drew a center line to help me place the middle of the 3-shape. 

3. Put on protective gear and set up your dremel per manufacturing instructions.

4. Turn the dremel on and carefully sand away at the beak to remove the part outside the line.

5. The dremel will put a bunch of shavings on the back side of the beak, which you can pick off or shave off. I like to take the dremel and round off the hard edges and make sure everything is smooth. 

Tada! three mouth beak! You can then paint it any way you like! If you’d like to have fangs like DOGY I sort of have a diagram since I didn’t take pictures of the process of her fangs:

i just used Tacky Glue to keep it in place and let it dry before reassembling the beak!

So I've decided to create a small blog for my wonderful pet clown and his emotional support worm, Jojo. This will be very casual with updates because I do not do much social media, but I will try my best! First off, some introductions.

I am He and Jojo's dad! You may call me Sandals if you'd like, or anything relating to my fatherhood. I enjoy many things, such as animals, cryptic toys, vulture culture, video games, music, anime, surreal memes, and DnD! There are other toys I own, mostly furbies, but He and Jojo accompany me as I go about my day. Speaking of which...

This is He! He is a hand-sized clown. He is filled with some type of gritty sand material, and has a porcelain face. He has a sister, Chemistry, who lives with my personal sister, his auntie. He has a little wound on his foot and i am wet noodle sloppy at sewing so instead he has a duct tape cast. He has a name tag with his name, and it keeps his little frill on. Its cold out here, he gotta stay warm you know! And here is his littel frend,

Jojo! Jojo is a worm on a string, the blue breed. He is uncut and proud, and has grown limbs as a result from New Years magic! He has a twin sibling named Dio, also under the ownership of my sister. Neither of us watch jjba, it is simpley their names. He can sometimes stand up, but has poor balance due to a severe case of wire scoliosis. He mostly just hangs around on or near He, and they do excellently together.

He, Jojo, and I have recently been attending college! They are very attentive in class, and I have decided that because they bring such joy to my day perhaps they will bring joy to yours. I will begin posting a backlog of their baby pictures up to the most recent one, and after that I will post them as I take the pictures. Have a nice day!
