🎃👻 Boo Basket Ideas for Littles 👻🎃

If you haven't heard about them before, a Boo Basket (or Boo Bucket or Boo Bag) is a basket filled with Halloween and fall-themed goodies - so, basically, a Halloween-themed Easter basket 😅

They're intended to be given to people of all ages - from parents to kids, neighbor to neighbor, spouse to spouse - basically, they're for everyone!

The reason I think these Boo Baskets are LITERALLY PERFECT for littles is because, for a lot of them, they either aren't comfortable or can't go out to go trick or treating. If that's not an option, then many are happy to simply pass out candy to trick-or-treaters... except when they can't even get the satisfaction from that because of a lack of trick or treating in their neighborhood.

There are always other available events, from local fairs, fall festivals, trunk-or-treats in random parking lots, theme parks, amusement parks, and other pay-a-fee-to-walk-around-and-get-candy events - but some littles may not be able to attend one of these either.

With no big event or activity to do, then some littles may feel left out or are otherwise let down by the time Halloween Day arrives.

But! Getting a Boo Basket can give them something to look forward to!

The Boo Basket itself can be anything - a trick-or-treat bucket, a woven basket, a cauldron, a paper bag - what matters is that it fits whatever you put inside it! It doesn't have to be big, nor do you have to put lots of items in it, it's the thought that counts!

Some things you can put in a Boo Basket:

Comfy Things! This is a big category that stretches from cozy socks to big, soft blankets! There's also sweaters, hoodies, and/or special Halloween pajamas!

Candles! Scents play a large part in setting a mood - from scents like Pumpkin Pie to a Ghostly Graveyard, there are plenty of aromas for any type of little!

A Mask! Depending on the little, one can tuck in a spooky, rubber monster mask, a fun, shiny plastic mask, or a plain wooden or paper cut-out mask that the little can decorate themselves!

Toys! There are so many possible toys one can throw in, but some ideas are a Halloween stuffie, a themed doll, a horror action figure, a wind-up toy, or a container of slime!

Books! There are plenty of picture books that are appropriately themed, as well as coloring books, but for older littles, some spooky horror books can also be a fun treat!

A Movie! Physical media isn't dead, so putting in a DVD or BluRay can be fun! There are compilations of Halloween episodes for kids shows, family-friendly flicks, and scary horror movies!

Treats! Any treat you think the little in question would like can go right in! From sweets like chocolates, gummies, lollipops, cookies, and marshmallows to more savory things like popcorn, pumpkin seeds, chips, and pastries, there are plenty of food one can throw in! Don't feel limited to food items though, as hot chocolate or coffee can be just as special!

Other Bits and Bobs! Stickers, bookmarks, lotions, bathbombs, glow sticks, puzzles, fidgets, decor, if you think the little in question would like it, toss it in!

If all these items and the variety of items are a bit overwhelming, one can also make a themed Boo Basket!

Some specific themes for a Boo Basket:

A Recipe and its Ingredients! Collecting all the items necessary for a specific recipe can make for a fun activity! You can also throw in new cutlery, flatware, or cups!

Movie Night! A blanket, movie, and popcorn - along with any other treats - can make for a perfect movie night!

Slime! Instead of simply buying some slime, making a slime recipe of choice is another fun activity - especially if themed mix-ins are there!

Glow Party! Halloween night is when festivities tend to start, so why not have a bunch of glow-in-the-dark items to play with when the sun goes down! Light-up items are just as fun, and last longer, so feel free to mix the two!

Sugar Rush! Just fill the basket with as much sugar-filled items as possible :) Your little can handle it responsibly :) It's fine :)

Jack-o'-Lantern! Place a medium to large pumpkin in the basket, along side either a carving kit or painting kit! Placing the ingredients preferred for roasted pumpkin seeds can make the whole affair an event! Toss in some mini pumpkins and markers to make a whole family!

Most of the items listed can be bought at a dollar store or other bargain stores, so they can be made with any budget! Don't stress about the amount of items you're getting, as, again, it's the thought that counts!

I hope if anyone makes or gets a Boo Basket, themed or not, that it brings them some needed Halloween spirit!

 The Fentons have created a machine! A wonderful machine that will reveal a ghost’s true form! So that everyone will see their trickery! They’ll see that the monsters they really are! 

 Now, to know what all went wrong, one would have to know some things about the ghost zone, and more specifically the area the Fentons had managed to punch through to. 

 For one, ghosts do not age like humans. Oh they might take a form similar to that of their death, which may appear as an adult or teen or something similar, but with how they can only die by the complete destruction of their core, theoretically a ghost could live forever once formed. 

 In fact, the equivalent of eighteen years for a ghost was one-hundred realms-years dead. And those years don’t always sync up with the years of the living world that one might open a door into. Thankfully, the Fenton’s world, being one of those synced closer to the Realms, only had a time dilation of a few seconds. 

 That being said, the area their portal had ripped into was incredibly rich in ectoplasm. And areas like that, were where newborn ghosts were formed and arrived. A ghost daycare of sorts, almost akin to a toddler area of the zone. 

 Which meant that when they shoot the Phantom-menace and other pesky ghosts to revert them into their true form, it isn’t exactly monsters that appear. Instead, there are now several ghost toddlers- or in the phantom-trio’s case literal babies- flying around. Very unhappy ghost toddlers. 

 What a horrible time for the Justice League to arrive. Though perhaps some would say it was actually perfect timing.

🧜‍♀️ Being a parent doesn’t mean you can’t regress or age dream. You are still valid.

🐙 Being a childcare worker doesn’t mean you’re not a valid regressor or dreamer. You can still regress or age dream.

🐬 If you’re a carer for bio children, you aren’t obligated to be a caregiver for regressors as well.

🐠 It doesn’t make you weird or creepy to work with or parent children and still be involved in age regression / dreaming in your private life.

🐳 There’s nothing wrong with wanting to the baby for once instead of the carer. And if this coping mechanism works for you, you shouldn’t abandon it simply because of any guilt of not being a good parent/childcare worker, or not feeling like you’re a valid regressor because you take care of bio children in your daily life.

As someone who currently has two jobs working with children, and also wishing to be a mother one day - I can experience guilt or shame for regressing. I wanted to post this for others that might feel the same. You’re valid, what you do is cope for you alone 🩵

The fun thing about CFAU danny is that he grew up in crime alley during his early developmental and foundational years, and was only in amity park for four years before his accident. Which means: potential to explore how this affects his personality. How does he act?

If he grows up in crime alley, which is rife with violence and crime and he like everyone else bares witness to it, how will that change who he is compared to canon?

Because he’s not gonna be the exact same as canon, thats not how development works. Something’s gonna change. So is he violent? Is he a thief? A liar? A follower, a leader? A backstabber? How selfish is he? Because selflessness gets you killed.

How willing is he to get shot/stabbed/murdered/trafficked for another person when he’s surrounded by people who take priority over themselves more than others? And is largely not taught otherwise? (And are valid for their self-preservation?)

What’s his kindness look like, is it rough? Tough love all the way through, showing other kids how to bloody up their knuckles to keep their own face safe?

Showing kids how to file down their teeth with the broken glass at their feet, so that when they bite they make it hurt?

Or is it more gentle, but still bloody, showing kids how to keep their head down and out of the way of the bigger, meaner kids barreling their way past? How to blend in, how to hide? How to not get caught?

Is it a third option, and always bloody, always hurting? Does he get in the way, take the hits? Always a shield, never the shielded? His nose having been broken so many times it’s permanently crooked, are his eyes always black? His lip always bleeding? Does he have scars?

Is it a fourth option, a fifth option, a sixth? Is it bloody? It may as well be, Crime Alley is always bloody. Always bleeding. Danny will see death, he will see suffering, he won’t unless he closes his eyes and covers his ears.

Does he have bad habits? Stealing, smoking, drinking, kids mimic the adults and even if his parents try to teach him out of it, it takes a village to raise a child. If the village is violent, then the child will be too. Is he malnourished? Jason was. He will be.

How does Dan change in comparison to canon vs a Danny who grew up in crime alley? Does he change at all? Or is Danny just more horrified by him, because he’s more similar to him than he previously thought?

What are his thoughts on Batman and Robin? Does he like them, think them myth, distrust them? How does his time in Gotham influence his perspective on the people there, on the world around him? His thoughts on Bruce Wayne (beyond the improbable him immediately figuring out Bruce Wayne = Batman)? The Elite? Does he have an accent? What’s his education like?

And CFAU Danny is fun because I get to explore that. He is ultimately still Danny - still kind, and selfless, sarcastic, punny. But how does he show it? What other traits does he have? What has changed, and what has stayed?

Grouping Tumblr blogs!! (AKA Custom Dashboards)

Okay, so in a recent post by WIP and Cyle, they released a way to view a list of blogs together in their own dashboard!!! It was easy to miss, as it just was dropped in a reblog, but it's sooooo useful

For example, this is extremely useful if you have a bunch of unique sideblogs! Or, while you like two different things, you don't want to see one interest while you're looking at the other interest! And, it's nice if you don't want to follow blogs with your main account, but are fine reblogging with a sideblog :)

What I've personally been doing for the past several years has been either bookmarking a blog or straight up memorizing their url, which has worked out mostly fine for me, with a downside being that I would have to actually, you know, remember the blogs and remember to visit them.

Since this has been released the past month, it's been so much easier to check up on the blogs I like. So, in case you missed the post/don't want to reblog that one, here's what you need to do!

Simply, use this url: https://www.tumblr.com/timeline/blogpack?blogs=music,fandom,art

Now, what you need to do is simply replace the placeholder blogs in the url with the tumblr blogs that you want to see. Separate each blog with a comma, or, if you're on mobile and your popup keyboard won't let you, with a %2C .

Add as many blogs as you want, then just bookmark the new url to access anytime!

Oh! and another cool thing about this is that, if you wanted to, you can share this url with others!!! So, it can be used as a recommendation tool too!!

Anyways, I'm making this PSA because I think this can be super useful if you're in multiple communites, like I am! Now I won't have to worry about missing posts, because now I can put blogs into their own dashboard!! I can have a dashboard for fashion dolls!! And another for nostalgia!! And, one for fandoms!!!! I have reason to believe that fear of harmless bugs is a social construct

#babbles #it's late I can't elaborate #but basically there are a two ways you develop a phobia: you either go through a very distressing experience about it #or you are taught to fear it by the people around you #think about it: fear is meant to protect you from danger #some fears are instinctually justifiable (like with big animals and fire) #my hypothesis is that the ones that aren't are instead acquired through osmosis #if you are a toddler and you see a bunch of adults scream and run away in fear of this fast flying unpredictable little critter #you subconsciously internalize that the fast flying unpredictable critter is capable of causing you terrible harm #and so even though you grow up and realize there is nothing a roach could do to you barring like #accidentally flying into your eye and scratching your cornea #you still tense up when you see it because it was the behaviour you learned from your caretakers #it's just not gonna hurt you. you're more likely to hurt yourself freaking out
