I honestly don't understand how some people think Alexander Colbourne is "boring." The man is raising the child his wife had by cheating on him. He could have dropped her off at an orphanage and gone on with his life. But no. He kept her, gave her his name, and cares for her as if she were his own.
He also took in his cheating wife's neice when her parents died. He's not blood to either of those girls, but he's still trying to do the best for them because to him they are family.
He's also willing to learn and listen. He actually learned from Charlotte and admitted she was right. He was willing to let her go and let her marry another man because it was her choice. He supports her dreams and goals. He doesn't insist that she be a stay at home wife and mother as was generally expected of women back then. In fact, in the one year leap, Charlotte is getting off work and Alexander is the one initially holding the baby, implying that Alexander is the one caring for their child while his wife is working. This was highly unusual back then.
What about this is "boring"?

Could you do Sanditon lockscreens with heybourne please? Maybe one with their first kiss? I love your style 🥰
the lighting in their first kiss scene is horrible to edit so i couldn't make a lockscreen out of it, but season 3 gave us some cute moments with them!
please like/reblog if you save!

Season 3 is hands down the best season there has been of Sanditon. Not a second was wasted and loved every plot they had.
