SpaceTime -- A brief history
SpaceTime is Australia’s most popular and respected astronomy and space science news program – averaging over two million downloads every year. We’re also number five in the United States.  The show reports on the latest stories and discoveries making news in astronomy, space flight, and science.  SpaceTime features weekly interviews with leading Australian scientists about their research.  The show began life in 1995 as ‘StarStuff’ on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) NewsRadio network.  Award winning investigative reporter Stuart Gary created the program during more than fifteen years as NewsRadio’s evening anchor and Science Editor.  Gary’s always loved science. He studied astronomy at university and was invited to undertake a PHD in astrophysics, but instead focused on his career in journalism and radio broadcasting. He worked as an announcer and music DJ in commercial radio, before becoming a journalist and eventually joining ABC News and Current Affairs. Later, Gary became part of the team that set up ABC NewsRadio and was one of its first presenters. When asked to put his science background to use, Gary developed StarStuff which he wrote, produced and hosted, consistently achieving 9 per cent of the national Australian radio audience based on the ABC’s Nielsen ratings survey figures for the five major Australian metro markets: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.  The StarStuff podcast was published on line by ABC Science -- achieving over 1.3 million downloads annually.  However, after some 20 years, the show finally wrapped up in December 2015 following ABC funding cuts, and a redirection of available finances to increase sports and horse racing coverage.  Rather than continue with the ABC, Gary resigned so that he could keep the show going independently.  StarStuff was rebranded as “SpaceTime”, with the first episode being broadcast in February 2016.  Over the years, SpaceTime has grown, more than doubling its former ABC audience numbers and expanding to include new segments such as the Science Report -- which provides a wrap of general science news, weekly skeptical science features, special reports looking at the latest computer and technology news, and Skywatch – which provides a monthly guide to the night skies. The show is published three times weekly (every Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and available from the United States National Science Foundation on Science Zone Radio, and through both i-heart Radio and Tune-In Radio.

J2 Tinhat Timeline
2016
For the timeline from 2017 or for any of the years from 2015 to 2022 once they’re all posted, search my page for “timeline.”
Note: again, the content within each year is not yet listed chronologically, and sadly I can only include a small handful of photos and GIFs due to limited image space, but if you’d like the visual counterparts for anything, just message me!
No year is even close to being a fully comprehensive collection yet, but I’ll be updating each post over time to get as close to that as I can!
—————————
February 27th:
Jared spends his anniversary (as in his faux anniversary, the anniversary of his marriage to Genevieve) out with Jensen.
Tumblr media
March 11th:
The Js are spotted out in Austin date-night-ing it up at the Gleason (documentary) debut.
Tumblr media
September:
Rogue Magazine publishes some interesting photos of the Js on either side of a door (a closet door, even? perhaps?)-
Tumblr media
Either way, their body language is certainly something to talk about…
November 11th:
The Js have a wild night out together at a Kaleo concert and then at San Jac Saloon.
(GIF/photo set courtesy of out-in-the-open)
Tumblr media
November 30th:
The Js are each other’s date to Mark Shepard’s wedding! 😍❤️
Tumblr media
Saturn Awards, Cassidy Gard interview:
While chatting about J2’s “bromance,” Cassidy comments that it seems like the two of them definitely have a good time together.
Jensen smiles, averts his eyes, and responds with, “we…probably have too much of a good time.”
Tumblr media
Atlantacon:
The Js serenade each other on the keyboard. Jared plays ‘Right Here Waiting’ for Jensen, and Jensen plays ‘Everything I Do, I Do it For You’ for Jared.
Also-
A trans fan speaks to the Js about finding the courage to transition.
Jared: “I know what it’s like to have to keep a secret and not be who you are.”
Jaxcon:
Jared tells a story about being out to dinner in Rome with Genevieve and accidentally flipping off the waiter. (see 2016 asylum directly below for significance)
Asylum:
Jensen tells the exact same story above about being at a restaurant in Rome and Jared accidentally flipping off the waiter, except JENSEN was the one who was with Jared in Jensen’s re-telling.
*note: this is just one of many moments all supporting the fact that when the Js talk about their wives, they are often actually speaking about each other.
Purple rain:
Jared forgets that he and Jensen are visible from behind and blatantly (really, really blatantly) spends some time massaging Jensen’s upper arm and shoulder in a not-at-all platonic way.
Tumblr media
*notable as one of those extra special J2 things that has singlehandedly (as a stand-alone moment) convinced a significant number of now-tinhats that Jared and Jensen are not platonic with each other.
Jib, closing ceremony:
Jensen refers to Jared and Genevieve’s marriage while air quoting the word “married.”
Tumblr media
He also pulls Jared fiercely into a full body embrace that has gone on to become one of the most well-known and most frequently talked about J2 moments.
Tumblr media
Seacon:
The Js again discuss the first real fight they had, and Jared says, “That happens in any relationship, whether it’s friends, boyfriend-girlfriend, boyfriend-boyfriend, it gets tested, and that’s when you find out whether or not it’s worth it to you.” (parallel to 2017 minncon)
*note: although Jared included “friends” in this list of relationships, he also threw in “boyfriend-boyfriend,” so…
Also-
Jensen says (about himself and Jared), “Early on, we found out that we were better together, the two of us, than we were separate.”
Also-
Jared refers to Jensen as his partner, something they both have done on multiple occasions-
Jared: “I’m going to ask what my partner’s favorite part is, or the first thing that comes to his mind for every season.”
Chicon:
Jared says this super significant thing about the industry-
“I’ve had a lot of joy and a lot of pain being in the public eye. (…) You don’t have to be on TV to be acting.”
Houscon:
Jared goes without his wedding ring on Valentines Day.
Also-
Jensen says, about himself and Jared, “We were made for each other.”
Also-
Richard Speight seems to nearly slip up and say something that he ends up realizing mid-sentence he can’t say while a camera is present-
Richard (to Jared, about a Valentines card he’s working on that Jensen has just dumped glitter all over): “This was good until your-...this was good until HE dumped glitter all over it.”
Vegascon:
Jensen gives a long, thoughtful, completely gender-neutral response about finding the one in which he uses words like “partner” and “teammate” that he has previously used on numerous occasions (and will use many times again after this) to describe Jared/his relationship with Jared.
(on two different ways of ‘finding the one’) “-you just know with an absolute and have a certainty, like this is the one for me, unequivocally. And there’s those who are…I don’t know…I’m scared, but I’m willing to take that leap of faith with you, and I found myself somewhere in between both of those. It’s a scary endeavor that certainly has its ups and downs, but it’s a bond, and it’s a connection, and it’s a friendship, and it’s a ride, and it’s a journey…that if you’re willing to stick it out together is an amazing, beautiful thing. And…I’m so glad I picked the partner, the teammate, that I did.”
Also-
Jensen (about Jared): “He calls me and he’s like ‘hey, babe.’” (revealing the fact that Jared calls him ‘babe’)
*note: the ‘babe’/‘baby’ thing is not an isolated incident, either…
Burcon:
Jensen offers his sleeve for Jared to wipe his nose on, which may not sound like much on the surface but which is, in reality, incredibly indicative of an extremely deep level of intimacy and trust between the two of them.
Tumblr media
Torcon:
Jared reminisces about the (super romantic) Stanley Park lunch date he and Jensen shared together way back when they were filming Wendigo and falling for each other-
Jared: “[Jensen] said, ‘there’s a cool spot over here if you want to come eat,’ and I was like ‘alright.’ So we grabbed our lunches and sat on the sea wall.”
Jensen: “It was a Taster’s Choice moment.”
(note: after doing some research and receiving input from a local, I learned that Stanley Park is well-known for being a couple’s spot, for being a place you take a date)
Message from Supernaturalwinter: “I’m from Vancouver - ya you don’t go to Stanley Park for lunch unless it’s as a date (or you’re with a big group of friends and you’ve planned a picnic, also the only places to eat around Stanley Park are ‘couples spots’), like you go for lunch and it’s a date.”
DCcon:
Another ‘partner’ moment (Jensen to Jared)-
“When you have a partner you’ve been dancing with for that long…”
Also-
Jared opens up a bit about his (many) struggles with the industry-
“Like…the industry has been pretty difficult for me believe it or not.”

Grace Beverly Jones (born 19 May 1948??) is a model, singer and actress. Born in Jamaica, she and her family moved to Syracuse, New York, when she was a teenager. Jones began her modeling career in New York state, then in Paris, working for fashion houses such as Yves St. Laurent and Kenzo, and appearing on the covers of Elle and Vogue. She notably worked with photographers such as Jean-Paul Goude, Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin, and Hans Feurer, and became known for her distinctive androgynous appearance and bold features.
Her grandfather, John Williams, was also a musician and played with Nat King Cole. Her father, Bishop Robert Winston Jones, moved the family to CNY and founded the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Syracuse. Jones' brother is megachurch preacher Bishop Noel Jones, who starred on the 2013 reality show Preachers of LA.
Through her relationship with longtime collaborator Jean-Paul Goude, Jones has one son, Paulo. From Paulo, Jones has one granddaughter.
Jones attended Central High School in Syracuse. She claims she doesn't know how old she is. Although some sources say she was born in 1948, Jones says she graduated early from Central High School in Syracuse in 1967; she was around 15 years old, ahead of most of her peers due to more rigorous education at an early age in Jamaica. She also studied theater at Onondaga Community College.
Beginning in 1977, Jones embarked on a music career, securing a record deal with Island Records and initially becoming a high-profile figure of New York City's Studio 54-centered disco scene. In the early 1980s, she moved toward a new wave style that drew on reggae, funk, post-punk, and pop music, frequently collaborating with both the graphic designer Jean-Paul Goude and the musical duo Sly & Robbie. She scored Top 40 entries on the UK Singles Chart with "Private Life", "Pull Up to the Bumper", "I've Seen That Face Before", and "Slave to the Rhythm". In 1982, she released the music video collection A One Man Show, directed by Goude, which earned her a nomination for Best Video Album at the 26th Annual Grammy Awards. Her most popular albums include Warm Leatherette (1980), Nightclubbing (1981), and Slave to the Rhythm (1985).
As an actress, Jones appeared in several indie films prior to landing her first mainstream appearance as Zula in the fantasy-action film Conan the Destroyer (1984) alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sarah Douglas, and subsequently appeared in the James Bond movie A View to a Kill (1985) as May Day, and starred as a vampire in Vamp (1986); all of which earned her nominations for the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 1992, Jones acted in the Eddie Murphy film Boomerang, and contributed to the soundtrack. She also appeared alongside Tim Curry in the 2001 film Wolf Girl.
Jones has been cited as an inspiration for multiple artists, including Annie Lennox, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Solange, Lorde, Róisín Murphy, Brazilian Girls, Nile Rodgers, Santigold, and Basement Jaxx. In 2016, Billboard ranked her as the 40th greatest dance club artist of all time.

Profiles of Pride: June 16th! 🏳️‍🌈Lana and Lilly Wachowski🏳️‍🌈
Lana Wachowski (Born June 21, 1965) and Lilly Wachowski (Born December 29, 1967) are American film and TV directors, writers, and producers. They are siblings, and are both trans women. After dropping out of college, the Wachowskis ran a house painting and construction business in Chicago while writing for Marvel Comics' Razorline imprint, namely Ectokid (created by horror novelist Clive Barker) in 1993. They also wrote the series Clive Barker's Hellraiser and Clive Barker's Nightbreed for Epic Comics.
Collectively known as the Wachowskis, the pair made their directing debut in 1996 with Bound, and achieved fame with their second film The Matrix (1999), a major box office success for which they won the Saturn Award for Best Director. They wrote and directed its two sequels: The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions (both in 2003), and were deeply involved in the writing and production of other works in that franchise.
During production of the first film, the Wachowskis and Spencer Lamm, who ran the film's official website, developed comics based on the setting of the film, which were published free of charge on the website. These and a few short stories were released in three series from 1999 to 2003, with several of them (along with new material) collected in two print volumes in 2003 and 2004. The Wachowskis themselves contributed "Bits and Pieces", a prequel to the movie that explains the origins of the Matrix, featuring illustrations by Geof Darrow, the movie's conceptual designer. Other writers and artists that contributed to the series include Neil Gaiman, Dave Gibbons, Paul Chadwick, Ted McKeever, Poppy Z. Brite, and Steve Skroce.
After Lilly Wachowski came out as transgender, she encouraged looking back on her and Lana's works "through the lens of our transness", saying that the themes of identity, self-image and transformation are apparent in The Matrix.
Following the commercial success of The Matrix series, they wrote and produced the 2006 film V for Vendetta (an adaptation of the comic of the same name by Alan Moore), and in 2008 released the film Speed Racer, which was a live-action adaptation of the Japanese anime series of the same name. Their next film, Cloud Atlas, based on the novel of the same name by David Mitchell and co-written and co-directed by Tom Tykwer, was released in 2012. Their film Jupiter Ascending and the Netflix series Sense8, which they co-created with J. Michael Straczynski, both debuted in 2015.
The siblings have worked as a writing and directing team through most of their professional film careers, until the second season of Sense8 in 2016. At this point Lilly took an active break from writing and directing, with Lana continuing the TV series solo, which has marked the first time that the siblings worked separately.
Rumors that Lana Wachowski was transitioning spread in the early 2000s, though neither sister spoke directly on the subject at the time. In 2003, Gothamist reported the possible transition. In a 2007 interview, Joel Silver, the producer of numerous Wachowski films, said that the rumors concerning the transition were "all untrue", saying that "they just don't do interviews, so people make things up." Crew members working on Speed Racer said similar things.
Lana publicly revealed her transition after Speed Racer's release in 2008 and by at least December 2010, after which trade magazines and newspapers referred to her as Lana Wachowski. In July 2012, Lana made her first public appearance after transitioning, in a video discussing the creative process behind Cloud Atlas. Lana is the first major Hollywood director to come out as transgender.
In a September 2012 interview with Aleksandar Hemon of The New Yorker, Lana described an incident in third grade at Catholic School when she was hesitant to join the boys' line and unconsciously accepted herself as belonging to the girls'.
In October 2012, Lana Wachowski received the Human Rights Campaign's Visibility Award. In her acceptance speech, she revealed that once during her youth, she had considered suicide because of her feelings of confusion about her gender identity. Her acceptance speech was one of the longest public appearances by either of the reclusive sisters. Lana said that, although she and Lilly had not publicly commented on her transitioning during the previous decade, it was not because she was ashamed of it, nor had she kept it a secret from her family and friends. Rather, she stated, the two are generally shy about the news media and prefer to maintain their privacy. Comparing media exposure to losing one's virginity as an irreversible event that only happens once, the Wachowskis had tried to stay out of the public eye. They feared losing their privacy and the ability to go to public places without being noticed and harassed as celebrities.
In March 2016, Lilly Wachowski also came out as a transgender woman, issuing a statement to the Windy City Times after a visit from a reporter from the Daily Mail newspaper who had attempted to get an interview with her about it. In that article, she said, "I am one of the lucky ones. Having the support of my family and the means to afford doctors and therapists has given me the chance to actually survive this process. Transgender people without support, means and privilege do not have this luxury. And many do not survive."
Her first public appearance since beginning transitioning was a few weeks later, at the 27th GLAAD Media Awards, where she accepted an award for her Netflix series Sense8 for Outstanding Drama Series. She said, "I didn't feel obligated to be here, but I wanted to do something. And it's serendipitous that the awards were a couple of weeks later and our show was up for an award."

Have you seen the nasty attacks on Cait from Sam's fans after she won The Saturn Award while he didn't? What's your opinion on this?
Thanks for asking for my opinion, Anon. 😃
Wait a minute… nasty attacks? That makes NO sense.
Tumblr media
Why would anyone attack Caitríona for winning the 2024 Saturn Award for Best Actress in a Television Series? She won the same award in 2021, and in 2015 and 2016, she won Best Actress on Television, and was nominated for best actress four other times.
Sam was nominated for the 2024 Best Actor in a Television Series award. He’s been nominated eight times, winning in 2019. Interestingly, he was nominated as a supporting actor in 2015.
All their combined 16 nominations were for Outlander. The show itself won 2024’s Best Action/Adventure/Thriller Television Series, one of the eight “show” categories.
The 2024 Saturn Awards offered 11 acting awards: five for film, six for television (Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Younger Performer, and only in the TV category, Featured Guest Star).
Neither Caitríona nor Sam would qualify as supporting, younger, or guest star. Caitríona would not qualify for actor; Sam would not qualify for actress. Duh.
So why would anyone attack Caitríona for winning an award for which Sam could not, would not qualify?
Tumblr media
Are you thinking I missed your point, Anon? 😂 I didn’t.
Yes, I saw chatter and whingeing on Tumblr and other sites. I’m aware some people said nasty things. I’m reminded of a child’s birthday party where a non-birthday sibling throws a tantrum when the birthday sibling opens a particular gift.
“Why does she get Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes LEGO and I get nothing?! 😫”
I think comparing apples to oranges never makes sense. I think both nominations and wins deserve recognition. I think tearing down one person to build up another person is childish and shortsighted.
I think the people involved in these conversations care a lot more about the Saturn Awards than either Caitríona or Sam does.

Which character is played by Dan Fogler in the 'Fantastic Beasts' films?
Tumblr media
Jacob Kowalski is a muggle (non-magic person) who is exposed to the New York City magical community after he and the wizard Newt accidentally switch suitcases in the film 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' (2016). The film is the first in the 'Fantastic Beasts' series, which in turn is a spin off of the 'Harry Potter' franchise.
'Fantastic Beasts' takes place in 1926, long before the events in 'Harry Potter'. The main character, a "magizoologist" called Newt Scamander, arrives in New York City with a suitcase full of magical creatures, which Jacob Kowalski accidentally let loose into the city. The majority of the first film involves a dramatic search for the missing beasts, alongside uncovering the plans of the infamous dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald.
Dan Fogler (born 1976) is an American actor, comedian and writer, who was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Film for his role in 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'. He had previously won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical in 2005.
Fogler reprised his role as Jacob Kowalski in 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' (2018) and 'Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore' (2022). He has also starred in 'Horton Hears a Who!' (2008), 'Kung Fu Panda' (2008), 'Don Peyote' (2014), and 'The Walking Dead' (2018-present).

CRICHTON'S WESTWORLD (1973) in TANDEM 1/2 with JURASSIC PARK (1999)
Tumblr media
26 years separates Jurassic Park (1999) from Westworld (1973). Personally I did not like the movie Westworld, the first movie directed by Michael Crichton based on his novel, but the film script was great and I imagine the book even better. Perhaps I would have enjoyed the movie more in a modern setting as in Jurassic Park and the genius of Spielberg, which I thought the script was not as good as Westworld but the technical effects was out of this world. This said I would recommend seeing the movie...and the following movie review...

Tumblr media
Westworld is a 1973 American science fiction Western film written and directed by Michael Crichton.
Tumblr media
The film was from an original screenplay by Crichton and was his first theatrical film as director, after one TV film. It was also the first feature film to use digital image processing to pixellate photography to simulate an android point of view.
Critical reception was largely positive by contemporary and retrospective critics and Westworld was nominated for Hugo, Nebula, and Saturn awards.
Westworld was followed by a sequel, Futureworld (1976), and a short-lived television series, Beyond Westworld (1980). A television series based on the film debuted in 2016 on HBO.
Tumblr media
The film follows adult guests visiting an interactive amusement park containing lifelike androids that unexpectedly begin to malfunction. (Westworld (film) - Wikipedia)

The sequel, FUTUREWORLD (1976), well, Is a "B movie" and I wouldn't take it any further than that, I though the argument needs a little more serious work, but an excellent idea.
Tumblr media
Futureworld is a 1976 American science fiction thriller film directed by Richard T. Heffron and written by Mayo Simon and George Schenck.
It is a sequel to the 1973 Michael Crichton film Westworld, and is the second installment in the Westworld franchise. Westworld's writer-director, Michael Crichton, and the original studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer were not involved in this production.
Tumblr media
IMdB RATING: 5'7
The film attempted to take the plot in a different direction from Westworld, but it was not well received by U.S. critics but well received by French critic.
STORYLINE
Three years have past since the tragedy at West World, the adult entertainment resort run by Delos corp. Now, Ferrum the ashes, rises a supposed improved playland; Future World. After Rome a reporter that the new park had summer secrets of its own, he's killed, and the reporter along with her photographer decide to do an investigation.
