My local Walmart didn’t have any more Pixlings from the first wave of the Magic Mixies Pixlings, but they did have the Walmart Exclusive Flitta. I did not take a photo, but her potion bottle looks the same as Unia’s except it has imbedded glitter in both the gem and the handle (and has a completely different butterfly design on the thin plastic covering the potion bottle). Both have removable shoes and skirts (which are nicely detailed -better quality IMO than what Chelsea and the Enchantimals are wearing) but a bit hard to take off due to how tight the elastic is.

Their faces look very similar. Unia’s might be lightly wider than Flitta’s, and Unia has sculpted eyebrows, while Flitta does not. Their ears look to share the same base, with Flitta’s being added to at the base (and I love all the little butterfly wing details they gave her ears). Flitta has a little bit of product in her hair, but washed out easy enough and left her hair as soft as Unia’s. Both Unia and Flitta look like fae background characters to one of the animated Barbie movies. :)

Aaaaand their profiles. They might have different noses?

And a close up of Flitta’s make-up. She still has lightly pixelated screening (except for her lips). With her cute butterfly make-up reminding me of RH Poppy’s. She also has a very cute and unique hair style.

You can see how clear her butterfly screening is in comparison.

Now for her wings:

They’re a softer/rubbery like plastic with imbedded sparkles. They might look nice with some painted detail, but otherwise, it’s not too bad as a solid colored piece compared to her multi-colored outfit.

Even a little butterfly sculpted on the bottom of one of her shoes (the other one has a hole in it for her stand) along with the Magic Mixies Pixling logo.

She has a sculpted on outfit (which I’m still not over the moon about - but I appreciate how detailed it is and how they painted it). I also like that her arms are not covered in “long sleeves,” unlike Unia, and thus her little hands’ paint will not peel off like some of the finger tips of my Unia are already starting to do.

Now for comparisons to other (mostly) butterfly/moth dolls.

Both Luna and Bonita are much larger than Flitta and have the typical G1 Monster High articulation, removable clothes, and VERY detailed bodies. Luna is one of my favorite Monster High dolls, so I kinda prefer her over Flitta, but Flitta tries her best to stand out with these ghouls.

She’s so tiny! It’s fun to see how these different doll companies took the moth/butterfly concept. They all have different antenna and way different wing structures. Luna and Flitta both have pointed ears, while Bonita has no ears. Flitta thinks I need to compare her to some one more her size.

“Well, that’s a little better… ….what and who are these long lost cousins?” G2 Monster High’s Garden Ghouls: Beetrice, Wingrid, and Lumina. They are the teensie and shorter than Flitta and unfortunately have rubber and plastic (removable) clothing and I believe poly hair. They are much more difficult to pose compared to Flitta, due to their rubbery clothing and limited movement. They can only rotate their arms around (like an old school Barbie), and they can not lift their head up and down. They do have detailed bodies though.

They look like they might have had some cute potential, but we’re nerfed last minute towards the end of G2’s run (I had to order Beetrice online and, besides Treesa, never saw any of the other Garden Ghouls in store).

Anyways, the last Mattel doll I wanted to compare her to is Belisse Butterfly:

…which I don’t have… Enchantimals and Pixlings are very similar in size, both have removable skirts and shoes and limited articulation. Flitta has a bit more articulation than Belisse, and a much more detailed outfit/shoes and molded on clothing, ears and make-up.

I find it funny they have similar shaped antenna. …I still think I prefer Flitta’s concept and execution compared to Belisse….and her chubby butterfly Dart.

Here is a fun comparison, another Moose Toys product: Buddykins the Zelf:

“I love your sparkly outfit! Do you want to fly around the house knocking down all the dust bunnies off the shelves???”

“Do I ever!” Flitta really seems to take to Buddykins. Like I said in my Unia review, the Zelfs and Pixlings look very compatible with each other; like they are two different species of fae in the same world….or long lost cousins on the family tree.

These two butterflies have very similar shaped antenna (they might be a reused model….?) and their wings feel like they are made from the same material (which also has glitter inside of too).

Before I could get more photos of the two, they both flew off to chase some dust bunnies.

All in all, I really like Flitta (she gives me mischievous fairy vibes and I love it) and I still really love the Pixling line so far….despite the molded on clothes, lack of knee joint and their large potion bottles that a younger me would have loved but older me could do with out.

A Beet by Beet Analysis - Part 7

This is the last part of this explanation/analysis. To see the other parts, click here.

The screen burns and melts away, and we're quite literally thrown into the story⁠, passing through the screen. The episode, or rather CHAPTER title flashes aptly across the bottom of the screen, and I think that it also points to the box being one for deliveries rather than for moving: The Arrival.

We zoom rapidly in on the boardwalk’s continuation, scaling one of the piles of garbage, and the silhouette of a crashed plane is clearly visible. Its journey didn’t end happily it seems. On the left is also the bow of a cargo ship⁠—another point to the transportation of goods?

We see two cowering, or possibly weeping, golden cherubs sitting on golden orbs atop marble pillars either side of the walk as we begin our climb. The angel-with-a-cross statue from the graveyard is back, but its cross is broken.

In the distance the a rather prominent end of an escalator is sticking out of the garbage. The only time we’ve seen escalators before in the series is the “main entrance” of heaven and hell⁠—if that's on the dump, that would explain heaven's shift to elevators. I've got some main suspects for who made them decide on this change.

Seeing the bow of the ship clearer, we can see there is a name on it, though we can’t make it out. A TV aerial falls over. There are more pipes, and some angel statues are holding glowing gems aloft.

The procession continues its march upwards along the walk, and a green ship is visible beneath them. It has text on its side, its direction mirrored, but it is obscured by another crashed plane. There’s also a moving mechanical crane in the foreground, holding something that might be a suitcase. The piano from backstage at the theatre is in the parade, as well as a sign with “The 2nd Coming” on it, and another that I think reads “Thy Kingdom Lord”, though the final 4-letter word is hard to make out due to the font so it could be something different.

At long last, our final shot. It reveals our main duo leading everyone into an overexposed glowing gate at the top of the garbage pile, in which we find even more pipes. Lightning goes off in the distance, and the title appears as clouds roll in and the gate glows even brighter to blow out the landscape into silhouettes of even more garbage piles. The arse-end of the cargo ship is sticking out the other side of our central pile. Flying in comes the show title, finished off with a bang as a 2 comes dropping in from the sky.

Merchant of the Skies

A nice little game I lost a few sleepless nights to because I just couldn't stop.

The premise of the game is easy: You're a merchant, and you make money by trading between floating islands and fulfilling quests. The map is randomly generated, and each island with a merchant has a different set of goods it offers and buys, for a different price ranging from cheap to very expensive.

There's an overarching quest as well: complete several special objectives to gather all the seeds to restore the botanical garden.

The graphics are adorable, and the early gameplay was a joy to figure out. The starting ship doesn't have a huge reach, I was scraping together money to afford upgrades, I was discovering new islands and quests left and right.

The excitement about pulling up my own production didn't last too long. No island merchant takes processed goods, so they just fill the storage until I need them for a quest. Some I never produced myself, because I just declined each quest containing them.

Unfortunately, once I reached the point where you can hire caravans and have a gem mine autosell the gems to all expensive/very expensive islands, there wasn't much left to do. Money just rained in, making every other effort pale in comparison.

It was one last small challenge to figure out how to supply all 4 inns at the same time with bread and apple juice, but as so often: you can just throw money at the problem to make it go away :D As in, the fastest ship has no problem completing a round.

All in all, it took me about 12 hours to get all achievements, all on the steam deck/with controller. There is a certain replay value, considering the map is randomly generated, and there's also other game modes, but in my personal opinion, not enough to make it worth the full price. On sale though, 100% worth it.

How to mod your LITG2 app:

FOR ANYONE COMING HERE TO MOD s6 PLEASE GO HERE FOR THE CURRENT WORKAROUND

ANDROID EDITION

To mod on Apple click here

(if I made typos which is 95% likely, then mind ya business 🙂🙃)

Doesn’t matter if the Android is the Primary device you want to play the game on or the Secondary you just to get the game from. You can still use all these steps to get the modded game from an Android to an Apple device.

1. On your Android device make sure the LITG2 app does not exist at all. Uninstall that bad boy, just kiss your favourite s4 LI goodbye before you do because if you haven’t guessed already, we’re going to lose all progress when getting a modded app 😭

2. Head to your Android’s internet browser and go into ModYolo and search up the LITG2 app. Or you can just click here if you feel a little lazy (no judgement)

3. You’ll want to download the latest version of the mod (the very top one)

4. Once that’s done, find it in the downloads on the notification bar of your Android phone/tablet and it will begin to install the app.

5. Once done, you can open the app and if done correctly, you’ll see the ModYolo logo during the loading screen.

6. It’ll launch into season 4 as that’s just how the app’s hardcoded but you can go back to the Home Screen after creating a character and into season 5 if you’d rather.

7. On the Home Screen you’ll now see you have unlimited gems and tickets! Yay! But you’re going to need them. All gem choices, all clothes etc need to be repurchased and every episode will need to be played again.

8. That’s it if Android is your primary device, you’re sorted! However, if you want to move it to Apple or just another device for multiple saves, go ahead and save the game with unlimited stuff to the Cloud. If you’ve done it before with your previous game, it will say ‘Save to Cloud’ or ‘Keep Local’ which is the one with unlimited gems, so click that and it’ll override the cloud data.

9. Go onto your Secondary device which can just be a normal version of the app on Apple. Load up your Cloud data and TA DAH. unlimited gems and tickets 4 u.

All done-sies. Your app is now modded on the device of your choice! Have fun playing and reach out if you get stuck at all x

''So can we pretend sweetly Before the mystery ends?'' John holds up a key before a purple mirror and smiles in a very pleased manner, unsettlingly. He puts it back down and the spirits in three sitting cultists leave their bodies, having been exorcised. John walks out the room. The screen cuts to text reading 'the morning breaks'

''I am a man with a heart that offends With its lonely and greedy demands'' John wakes up in his bed and walks to a note beside it. The note reads, ''John, I can't do this anymore. I'm sorry. I will always love you back. Karen''

''There's only a shadow of me in a matter of speaking I'm dead'' John re-enters the room with the key and holds it up again, smiling, before stabbing himself in the eye with the key violently. He walks out the room, blood dripping. Then is a shot of him with a melted bloody, sharp-toothed face, momentarily possessed. His outline becomes more purplish. The Death\Mortis screen appears.

''Such a waste, your beautiful face'' John confronts Amy. There is a trail of blood leading to her and her face is covered with white cloth. John asks, ''My God...what happened to you?'' Amy replies, ''Do you think my face is pretty?''.

''Stumbling carpet arise'' John firmly states in reply to Amy, ''I have to finish what I started.''

''Go follow your gem, your white feathered friend'' Amy pulls off the cloth and faintly swerves her head around, revealing a red hole where her face is supposed to be. Then it cuts to the interrogation scene with Gary Miller. On asking him about the twins, he looks up with his face distorting into a sharp-lined open mouth, laughing. He answers, ''Oh John...deep down, you always knew that the twins were an illusion. But you could not resist chasing after lost souls.''

''Icarus, point to the sun'' A black screen appears with Amy speaking, ''Unforgivable.'' Then it cuts to John leaning down before an effigy of the fake twins, hanging his head in defeat. It slowly fades to black.

''If history speaks of two baby teeth I'm painting the hills blue and red'' Gary viciously smiles and delivers the injection preparing him for the Unspeakable to John, catching him by surprise. John writhes and catches his wrist before his whole form turns red and scribbly, screaming. The screen fades to white. Theres a brief shot of a butterfly struggling in a spider's web. Then John is shown again, his pupils white and with an unnaturally wide and bright smile, hands spread out in front of his face. Slowly purple hands come in from the top over his own. After that it cuts to a thoroughly blood-stained room in the cultist's hold with mangled corpses, one crawling away from John. Fade to black.

''They said beware, Lord hear my prayer'' John driving away from the Martin house after he came back to finish Amy's exorcism. He says, ''I can only have faith that I did the right thing.''

''I've wasted my throes on your head'' A confessional screen is shown. John confesses, ''A year later, the girl reached out to me again. But in the end I couldn't save her. I left her to die. I am sorry for these and my past sins.''

''So can we be friends, sweetly Before the mystery ends?'' John's car stops in front of a large group of cultists, the one nearest to his car is holding a pitchfork. Some fires by them are seen too. Fade to white. Then is shown John breathing slowly, bleeding slightly from his eyes and mouth. He turns to look at a figure beside him. It's Gary.

''I love you more than the world can contain In its lonely and ramshackle head'' John walks to the center of a pentagram in a forest filled with cultists. The Unspeakable demon slowly makes its way towards John to intiate him into the cult.

''There's only a shadow of me in a matter of speaking I'm dead'' Gary reaches out towards Amy who floats above him. The demonic hand from her face grasps Gary's face and calls him, ''Failure.'' He is sucked into Amy's face hole.

(Instrumental) The hole in her face closes and she appears normal again. She has a slight smile. Blood rains down behind her. John apologizes, ''Amy, I'm so sorry. I couldn't save you.'' Amy reassures him,''John...it's okay. It's over now. They can't hurt me anymore. You've been so brave. But now...It's time to finish what you started.'' Crossfade.

''I'm holding my breath My tongue on your chest'' There is a sepia overlay to these parts, indicating that they happened previously. John prays to God to aid him in his fight against the demons, ''This abomination's power is too great.'' His call is answered as he opens his eyes and they shine bright, dripping yellow. He thanks God, ''Yes, Lord, I feel thou art with me.''

''What can be said of my heart? If history speaks, the kiss on my cheek Where there remains but a mark'' Only text appears as Gary greets him, ''Hello, John. It's nice to finally meet you.'' John pleads, ''Lord, help me. Somebody, please help me.''

''Beloved my John, so I'll carry on Counting my cards down to one And when I am dead, come visit my bed My fossil is bright in the sun

So can we contend, peacefully Before my history ends? Jesus I need you, be near me, come shield me From fossils that fall on my head'' God, a bright white figure, materializes in front of him. The screen flashes white as he says, ''I hear thee.'' He continues, ''John, son of man, what dost thou wish?'' ''This is too much for me. I'm so afraid. Please let me escape this place.'' ''And the girl?'' ''I just want to go home.'' ''If I leadest thou to safety...her fate shall be sealed upon thine head.'' ''I'll do whatever you want. Just take me away from here.'' ''Swear it.'' ''I swear it.'' Fade to black.

''There's only a shadow of me in a matter of speaking I'm dead'' Brief shot of John covered in the blood-rain, exhausted, breathing slowly and heavily. He holds his golden cross. The battle is over. Then the scene changes with a cinematic fade that has faint white floating dots. There is a choice shown, where John must go with either Lisa or Father Garcia. Both stand in front of him. Garcia is chosen. They clasp their hands in a manly handshake from the Predator films. John says, ''Let's go fight some demons.''

The song ends and a breath from the singer is heard. The music fades to Faith's main, upbeat theme. The ending scene appears of John sitting alongside Father Garcia as they both drive away. Credits of the game read, ''New Blood Interactive presents A game by Airdorf Faith: Chapter 3'' (the 3 is in roman numeral) A 'The End' screen appears with a bottom text of 'Ending 2- A New Journey'. The music fades.
