Do you have any idea of headcanons for the Scrybes if reader was pregnant? ( I have this thought all night and I can't sleep)

I’m not entirely sure what you were hoping to find asking this kind of blog, but if you would like some general headcanons? I can come up with a few. n_n

Under the cut for size. Perfectly safe to read.

Leshy:

Weirdly enough, he knew about it before you did. Not that he was sure at first. But you definitely started smelling different to him after that one night... Started...feeling different..somehow.

When you do eventually find out and tell him? He. Is. Stoked! He is so excited! It's surprising; likely part of the reason why you two were knocking boots was probably because of his heat cycle and neither of you expected to have compatible genes, but.. Hey! He doesn't care. So long as you're happy with this, he is too. He loves kids and loves the idea of having them with you.

He is...probably a bit protective. Not meaning to be, but habitually. Instincts and all. Would want to make sure you're going to be okay. That you're drinking and eating well enough. He'll make sure to find you the coziest furs and help you with any morning sickness or cravings or mood swings or nesting.

Lot of belly rubs. Any minute you two are close to each other, he’ll run his hands over your bump. Every. Single. Time.

He's actually got a lot of natural herbs and remedies to help you through the process. You may or may not be a fan of tea, but it certainly helps with the sickness. And the oils he rubs with helps with the back pain too.

You better believe the other woodsmen are also happy for you two as well. And no doubt Woodcarver and Trapper helped make a proper bassinet as well for you.

Of course he's more than happy to brag about it to the other Scrybes. Well it's not so much as bragging as it is just being excited and gushing on about it.

You thought he was happy to get the news, but you couldn't believe how overjoyed he is when he feels a kick for the first time. Hoof-tapping, tail-wagging, over-the-moon with excitement.

He's with you through the whole process. Along with some help from the Woodcarver and Trader. It's a natural birth, probably in the cabin, and with no complications fortunately.

His eyes are so wide and his fur is so bristled when he holds your tiny child. But you can feel the pride and joy radiating off him. No doubt he's gonna end up crying. And showering you with so much love and affection.

P03:

"A what?"

This goes either one of two ways; either this is something you two have talked about, at length and in depth, and plan on having, essentially by "building" one together. Or this was completely out of the blue, unplanned, unexpected, and unexplained.

With the former option; I mean I'll be frank? He's a robot. They don't exactly have genetics to procreate. So when you bring up the idea of having a child, his first reaction is, "Why? We've already got three?" But moving forward.. he starts to see the appeal. Naturally. After all; it'll be something you two create together.

And he would spend much time, at length, going into the process of creation with you. Pouring over different details you'll both share with it and what kind of specs he'll want to give them. He'll be excited to show off or brag about what you two come up with!

If this was a natural process... Yeah he's definitely caught off guard. How the hell this managed to happen, neither of you could explain. No one could. But.. Well hell it's not like he's gonna tell you to stop!

But he is still going to be happy. In a weird way. It's...a lot for him to process. And he'll have so little control over this. What if you're not happy with what parts of him show up in the end result? What if you don't like it? Them? Him? What if-

He's nervous. ^^; Maybe even a little freaked out. But he wants this to work. He really truly does. Cause it'll still be...you. Something you create.

As much as it kills him to.. He's going to Leshy for any...insight. Or heaven forbid, advice. He doesn't know much about natural pregnancy or birth so he's definitely going to be studying up on it in as much detail as he can find.

He tries to help you through the ins and outs, but he's not the best with it. Needs a little help in learning how to help you really. Certainly doesn’t understand why you need to eat so much?? But he’s trying. Heaven help him he’s trying.

Some late nights you even catch him booting up G0lly to look things up. (By the way, G0lly is super excited; Yay! She can't wait to see the- "Alright. Enough. -_-")

He may also get a little stricter around the factory. For the first time he's actually disgusted by the grime and filth and barks at the bots to clean it up for him. He'll sterilize the whole place if need be! No child of yours is gonna get sick from grime!

Nerves eventually swell into pride. The same old egotistical proud face he always puts on. Talking up about how great a scrybe the child will be and how he's going to teach them all the best mechanics. He hopes it'll even outpace him some day, etc etc. And it's all so silly and endearing. Even if it’s a bit annoying for the other scrybes to listen to. You love seeing him radiate with so much excitement.

But all those fears come rushing back on the day of and he's going to burn a circuit board from his anxiety while he waits. Grimora and Leshy are helping you, naturally, and he's been just as strict about it as everything else. You, and fortunately even they, know it's just cause he loves you so much and wants you to be safe.

He's invented new armatures for the occasion fortunately and is VERY VERY careful about holding your new child. He's trying not to vibrate. He's trying to just remain calm and neutral and gentle. But you've been with him long enough by now to know, he's barely able to contain his excitement.

He's definitely going to need some time to process all these strong emotions but one thing's for certain; he's very proud. Very happy. And loves you both dearly.

The other bots have also been super excited to the youngin'. Despite their boss's strictness, they've been really supportive and happy to help with anything. Melter has to keep a distance though; which is a shame.

Magnificus:

Ohhhhhhhhhhh how you two managed to get a child together is beyond his sight.

He is actually probably the least thrilled out of anyone to have a kid.

Children are so... full of potential! So many possibilities. So many uncertainties. Their future is just so broad. He can’t even fathom the scope of it and that honestly freaks him out.

He can’t even foresee what your child is gonna be like but the best that his intuition tells him is....your at least going to be safe. ....Most likely.

He’s definitely doing some research into the matter, much like P03 but with less grudges against asking Leshy or Grimora for information.

He is still a powerful wizard, and his spells certainly help you get through the morning sickness and any soreness you’ve got. Mood swings are a bit of an issue though. I can only imagine living with a clairvoyant that any issue or offense you wanna take is going to be met with a brick wall of quiet indifferent fortitude, saying he probably already knows what you’re gonna say next. Good luck. I promise he isn’t blowing you off, he just doesn’t wanna fuel it.

The other mages are, naturally, happy for you. But Lonely is suddenly a lot more tiresome than usual, so be mindful of that. Also may need to..settle down before being anywhere near the baby. >>; But they love drawing you cards and guesses as to what your future child will look like.

Much to Magnificus’ disgruntlement, you let the pupils decorate the nursery and it is beautiful. He may...correct a few things here and there in terms of design or art (the murals on the walls mostly), but he tries to just let you have it the way you’re happy with.

Mags is still very uncertain as to what’ll the actual due date be or what it’ll be like and it still freaks him out a little. But when it comes he’s patiently (see; nervously) waiting for you. He’s no good with medical things and he’s certainly not good with high strung emotions so he lets Leshy and Grimora help mostly.

After getting to hold them (and probably shedding a few tears) and helping make sure you’re alright, some time much later, you’ll find what could possibly be the most beautiful painting of your new family portrait sitting in his easel, with Mags fast asleep on his stool in front of it, and a small placard saying “Limitless Possibilities”.

Grimora:

However you’d like to imagine this working, she’s just a surprised as you. Despite whatever headcanons or fantasies people like to give Grimora, I personally think being undead generally comes with the prospect of...not really being able to procreate.

But despite her surprise, I think she’d be delighted to be a mother with you.

I don’t really have a lot of other opportunities to say this so a personal hc of mine is that despite her polite demeanor, she’s rather impatient. Much like how everyone else has that gaming trait embedded into their personalities, she is very horribly impatient and she can barely stand having to wait so long to see what your guys’ child is going to be like.

Also; major grandma energies right here. She is going to busy herself crocheting and knitting away all kinds of adorable clothes for the baby. While probably also making cute things for you to wear while being pregnant.

While also making sure to help you with whatever symptoms you end up experiencing. Probably frequently seeing Leshy for things like cravings and such. Will probably also see about getting Woodcarver or P03 to whip up a rocking chair for you as well if she can. Heaven knows you’re going to need it.

Picking a name is a living nightmare. There are lists. Lists upon lists. Names you’ve never heard of before. Names that don’t even sound like names. Names from so many countries and with origins, meanings, historical figures, or even just cute trivias. If she isn’t knitting, she’s written so many lists she’s practically just become an octopus! (You see too clearly where P03 gets his inspiration for Archivist.)

And don’t worry about a thing when it comes to delivery, she’s going to help walk you through the whole thing and practice step by step.

But in the quite moments, when she isn’t busied with preparations or anything... You find she can’t help feeling a bit...depressed? No... scared. There are so many young lives that get snatched by death. So many mothers that, for one reason or another, didn’t make it. Life.. the creation of Life.. is a bit overwhelming to her. And Life, as she’s found it, is long. And full of so many hardships. She wouldn’t want your child to suffer any but..it can’t always be helped.

But those worries tend to melt away when you’re together and she can feel the baby kicking and it’s alive and healthy, and so are you. You’ll both be just fine. And she knows it, and so do you.

The ghouls are so excited for you. Royal is constantly making sure you’re eating enough citrus to stay healthy. Sawyer is nervous but is happy to help get the place cleaned and ready for you. Kaycee is making sure you’re kept nice and warm in the old cold crypt with blankets or whatever she can find really. They’ve all taken the liberty to referring to the child as “Baby Bones”.

The day of delivery and Grimora’s so excited for you. Of course she’s with you through the whole process and is making sure you’re well taken care of after. She’s spoiling you with so much love and attention and when you let her hold the baby... she absolutely refuses to give it back. XD She doesn’t want to. She’ll fight literally anyone. She loves holding them so much and she looks so happy and beaming to widely.

And now she’s excitedly bragging to the other scrybes about your Baby Bones and will not stop.
