Who initiates their first kiss: Kohaku. They’re both in their teens and it’s more of a kiss that was meant to be on the cheek but Rin turned her head up to talk to him. Sesshomaru did punch him when he found out but Kohaku didn’t protest (Sango did almost beat Sesshomaru though)

Rin fell first. She’s loved him since they were children. But Kohaku fell harder.

I like the idea that they got married in their twenties and had three children.

Yes I knew and heard about proshippers. I didn't cared or gave any crap about them before. I just thought that every character including your favourite one can be flawed and do mistakes or things you don't agree with them. Now I'm not fond of these people because you can like and dislike character or ship as long as you want. As someone who saw that in net, yeah I can agree 😒.

I already use DNI when It comes to anime Inuyasha so I can avoid Sessriners (Sesshomaru x Rin) who are possibly the worst fandom I ever saw to not interact with me. I only once interacted with one of their kind and they probably blocked me just because I disagreed with them and because they attack antis who just were against Sessrin. I think to make a post who can follow me and who can't. Thanks for suggestion and ask!

Ok before you all start another civil war send death threats to Sunrise and Rumiko, or whatever you are about to do with all that free time nobody knows how you manage to have. At least read the timeline this hardworking fan managed to put together with checked facts.

Rin was not 13. Not 14. Not 7. Not newborn when she got pregnant. Stop removing 1-2 years from her age every week to feed your narrative. Two weeks ago she was 17, last week she was 16 this week she is 13. The least you all can do is get your facts straight. I am unbiased in these tantrums and sick of both parties being mentally ill.

Conclusion: Rin was 18 when she gave birth, 17 when she got pregnant. Do whatever you want with the information.

The debate on wether is ok or not for some grown ass dude to date a 17 yo he knew since she was 8 can go on, i'm not your mother. All of you are entitled to your opinions but at least stop arguing about her fucking age.

Also keep in mind no valid source ever confirmed Rin's age to be 8 in the OG series. She could have easily been 9 or 10 but let's settle it for the worst case scenario and let her be 8 the way the fandom agreed long time ago and start from there.

Sesshomaru stared at his daughter in blatant disbelief.

“What?”

She huffed -as if he were the dolt- and pointedly insisted, “There’s a monster under my bed!” As if he were not the most treacherous demon on their side of the world. He’d leveled boulders for his own amusement and beheaded generals— he was the monster and yet she sat there within his palace, perched upon a western piece of furniture, complaining of make believe beings.

“There’s not room for anything of consequence.”

He didn’t know what else to do. Logic was all he was equipped with and she wasn’t being logical.

“He’s a shapeshifter!” She insisted, “So he can fit into tiny spaces!” This monster was sounding more like a kitsune and less like any real threat— a real feat considering it never sounded real to begin with.

“There’s nothing down there.”

Absently, he noted just how scared she looked. Her dark eyes were shining with tears and her small hands clutched the blankets as she struggled to articulate her feelings. “There is—.”

“There isn’t. Rin, enough of this. Sleep now.” He turned to leave but her sniffling gave him pause. Maybe he was a monster, but even he could not leave as tears filled the room with the scent of salt. He turned back to face her, crossing the distance in a few easy strides. “I will check and I will prove it to you.” Her whispered ‘thank you’ made his gut twist with guilt. He could have done this earlier and saved her the upset.

And he knew she didn’t mean to insult him when she passed down the candle, “so you can see,” so he kept his mouth shut and accepted her aid. His hair was pooling on the stone, collecting dust and debris as he inspected every inch of the empty space.

“As previously stated,” he climbed to his feet, setting the candle back on the table at her bedside. “There is nothing there.” Her shoulders slumped and -hesitantly- she laid against the pillows and burrowed herself beneath the blankets. She still looked so defeated and he found he didn’t like not knowing how to comfort her. “What can I do?”

“I don’t want to bother you any more than I already have, my Lord.”

“If it were a bother, I would not have asked.”

She peered out from the blanket, “Can you wait until I fall asleep?” It was then that the answer came to him. In all of the time she’d been at his side, she’d always slept in his fur. She was never alone in her most vulnerable moments and now he was casting her into a large, dark room like an old toy.

It was not the fear of a monster that kept her awake. It was the fear of being alone.

He unhooked his pelt from his shoulder, resolving to find her something more suitable tomorrow. “You will keep this for the night and just this once I shall indulge you. However, from tomorrow onward, you will act your age and you will sleep alone. Do you understand?”

“But—.”

“You are not alone, Rin. My quarters are a moment away.” In a well deserved show of affection, he placed his forehead to hers —just as his father once did to him. “Now sleep.” He put out the candle and waited for the meek ‘yes, my lord’ that followed most of his commands.

But it did not come. Instead, she grabbed two of his clawed fingers and mumbled —deep, deep into the fur and blankets— “Yes, Papa. I love you.”

He froze, staring panicked into the darkness as he tried to come to a conclusion of any sort. There was only one and by the time he figured it out the girl was already asleep, but he spoke his answer into the air anyway because it needed to be said and Sesshomaru always said what needed to be said. “I love you too, Rin.”

Something for consideration.

I'm thinking Rin's in the tree because she almost died in the fire. Considering she can't be revived by Tensaiga again, it's possible Sesshomaru was forced to choose to either save Rin first or the twins, and in doing so he ended up losing everything.

Maybe this is what caused him to "go down the wrong path".
