Mini Mac #3 : local lil guy being a menace
Let's go for another Mini Mac chap! This Au is progressivly taking over my life.
Even if Sun Wukong proved to be friendly, Macaque wasn't keen on deepening his relationship with him. Giants were unpredictable, they always seemed to view the world as theirs, full of grandeur, and some even found twisted interest in oddities like himself. Granted, he gave his name away, but he wasn't planning on starting friendly conversations with the King. No. They were worlds apart to begin with, Macaque was satisfied with his home in the walls of the mansion and the silence the water-curtain offered, everything beyond that was something he wasn't interested in. He'd been in the outside world before, he knew what to expect, and it was precisely because he knew that he seeked refuge here. On one of the most isolated islands of the eastern continent.
Macaque would remain in the shadows, living in the walls, and Sun Wukong would soon lose interest, at least that was what he hoped for. Turns out the sage wasn't as fickle as he thought him to be. Sun Wukong kept trying to find him, peering at the holes hidden in dusty corners of the stone mansion with a twinkling eye. He was loud, each of his steps reverberating in the floor itself like some sort of landslide. Macaque always knew he was approaching even before seeing him enter a room, and he didn't need six ears for that. More than once this last week, Macaque found the sage crouched before one of his holes, talking in the void, trying to coax him out. Sometimes he left cut pieces of fruits behind him, and Macaque wasn't petty enough to refuse them.
Food was food, no matter where it came from.
The black-furred monkey sighed as he looked at his reflection dancing on a spoon surface (one of the rare silverware he managed to find). He was getting pudgy these days. Usually, he would leave the mansion every two days to restock his cupboards and find food. The water-curtain cave was vast for a being like him and offered many things he found useful. But because the sage was spoiling him with pre-cut fruits, he was getting lazy, which wasn't good at all.
Cautiousness was a sense he sharpened over the years, he couldn't let his guards down simply because one ridiculous golden-furred fool decided to fatten him. Why even was he fattening him? Perhaps, he planned to eat him? One gust of wind slipped through the walls cracks and flipped his ears in mockery.
“What? It's plausible. Some giants tried to eat me before.” Huffed the black-furred macaque, the wind whispered something in his ear and he recoiled in disgust. “Why do you mean he likes me? I think you're the delusional one here. He didn't even know I existed two weeks ago.” The wind flipped his ears one last time before going away, fickle by nature. Talking to the wind was always unnatural. The wind didn't have a voice, it carried words of others and mingled them to create its own sentences. Macaque wasn't born from the wind (usually only those born from the elements would be this privileged) but, according to the wind itself, he was blessed by it at his birth because the wind took a liking to him.
Sometimes, the black-furred monkey swore the element only took a liking to him because his life was a real-time soap opera and he could gossip with him about every dirty secrets he heard. The wind was particularly fond of drama, always eavesdropping left and right anywhere it went.
Macaque turned around and stopped looking at his reflection. He needed to do something before Sun Wukong became a problem. Maybe he could give him a little fright? After all, the sage used to live in the wilderness before, and he didn't seem one to stay at home. The only reason he was there was because of his sudden interest in Macaque. Maybe scaring him would chase him away.
Fortunately, Macaque was an expert in scaring people.
Scaring the sage was surprisingly very easy. For all his gusto, Sun Wukong was easily taken off guard, he never truly watched his surroundings after all. Macaque used all the tricks in his book. He slammed doors, bit the sage ankles, drew messages on fogged glass, and made the floor squeak in the dead of the night. If at first he did it with his utmost seriousness, he lost himself in the game and let his mischievous nature shine through.
But who could blame him really ? Sun Wukong's reactions were hilariously exaggerated. He still praised himself for the Sun Wukong shaped hole he managed to create while surprising the sage by biting the end of his tail.
For all his fun, he wasn't expecting the sage to catch him off guard with a prank on his own.
It happened at dusk, Macaque wasn't usually an early riser but winter was approaching, and while Flower Fruit Mountain had a kind weather, winter still brought storms in its wake. Macaque hated storms, he often decided to stay inside of the mansion walls through each one, but staying inside meant he couldn't restock as often as he did in summer, and that meant he needed more food. Moreover, the local monkeys often decided to leave the mountain lush wilderness and spend more time in the water-curtain cave in winter, and that meant less food for him, and also more reasons to not wander in the cave.
While the older monkeys seemed nice, the younglings were too rowdy for him.
Macaque found mango pieces scattered in a bright green leaf just outside of one of the holes he used to enter the walls. Nothing truly unusual. The black-furred monkey, not one to turn away free food, approached the leaf and began to eat without looking at his surroundings (after all Sun Wukong wasn't one to rise this early).
He yelped when the sage came out of his hiding place and spooked him with a particularly loud “boo!”. Macaque fur fluffed up in fright and he let his piece fall on the floor. He calmed down once he heard the sage rolling on the floor in cackles.
“Aw, don't pout lil guy. You had it coming.” Laughed the sage as he wiped a tear from his eyes.
“I'm not pouting!” was Macaque's only defense as he straightened his fur, the sage laughed harder. “Whatever, I'm a busy man. I don't have time for this.”
“Oh, you're going somewhere?”
“None of your business.” Grumbled the black-furred monkey as he stuffed the rest of the mango pieces in one of his bags.
“Aw, don't be like that. I can come with you. I know the mountain very well, being it's King and all.” Proposed the sage with a wagging tail.
“No thank you.”
“I tried.” Sighed Sun Wukong, ears and tail dropping in disappointment. “You're coming back though?”
“Why wouldn't I come back? I was here even before you became King.” Huffed Macaque, he summoned a portal with a flick of wrist and stepped in it.
“Okay, good luck then. Don't come home too late! I have a plum for you this evening!”
Macaque snorted, who did this giant think he was acting like some sort of worried husband?
At least a plum sounded nice, his tail wagged at the thought of it.

Warm comfort
Pair: shadowpeach (Macaque x Sun Wukong)
He stood up for a moment, looking at Macaque as he got closer to him, kneeling once he reached the shadow monkey.
Macaque looked back at him, staying quiet and not saying a word, waiting for Sun Wukong to say or do something. And the ginger monkey did.
He held Macaque's hand and started drawing circles on it, in a seek for comfort and closeness, he missed doing this to him very much.
He wanted the moment to last for hours.
Macaque was still looking at him, not sure what to do. He felt shivers on his body as Sun Wukong was touching his palm's skin.
He... felt warm. Very warm.
"If you want..." The ginger monkey broke the silence. "I can continue to your arm." Macaque just nodded in agreement, allowing the Great Sage to keep drawing circles on his hand, and arm, eventually.
"Now, close your eyes." Said Sun Wukong, a smile on his face. Macaque did as he was told and closed his eyes. The touch on his arm became more intense when he closed them.
The shadow monkey hated to admit it, but he was enjoying the moment. He missed the feeling of someone touching him so gently. He missed Sun Wukong's touch.
He leaned closer to the ginger monkey while he was still being touched in the arm, pressing his forehead against Sun Wukong's. The other monkey let out a short gasp, slightly blushing.
"I..." Macaque thought his words carefully. "I know I hurt you, and you hurt me... I apologize." He kept his gaze on Monkey King.
"No... uh.." Sun Wukong struggled to concentrate. "I killed you... I shouldn't even be forgiven. I am-" He sighed, tears threatening to burst out. He hated himself for it.
Macaque gently touched his cheeks, in an attempt to give comfort to Sun Wukong. He knew that the Great Sage did wrong in the past, damn, he killed him, but he wanted to make amends.
Sun Wukong wanted to stay with him, hugged forever. He needed that comfort.
Both needed to stay close to eachother.

Parent Trap Chapter 6: A.L.
fic Summary:
MK and Bai He attend the same camp and find out they were adopted by the same people -Macaque and Wukong. They then embark on an effort to get their divorced parents to at least be civil to each other, but lingering feelings make that harder than they imagined. However not all the lingering feelings are negative and love begins to rekindle. But throw in the fact that Wukong was and is already dating someone else and you’ve got a soap opera amount of drama.
This is a “The Parent Trap” AU with a few differences but the main plot line is the same.
Chapter summary:
Azure Lion has made it to Wukong's door and the drama has truly begun.

Finally started working on my memory loss Au. The premise is Macaque completely whiped Sun Wukong from his memory to finally let him go but Sun Wukong can't seem to let the Shadow demon go.
Let me know what you think!

_____________________________________________________
It was the eve of the Chinese New Year, MK was extremely anxious about the arrival of the new year, so he had prepared a mega festive and high-spirited party, he was heading towards Flower Fruit Mountain to invite Monkey King, who was the party animal. most experienced party animal he knew, correction, the most experienced party animal he knew after Mei, she was the craziest and most experienced party animal he knew. He was riding his delivery motorcycle as fast as he could when he saw a black fur monkey with a red scarf going in the same direction as him, so, without thinking twice, he stopped the motorcycle with a huge thud making Macaque startle.
-- Macaque! What are you doing here? If you're going to the Monkey King's house, I want you to know that he doesn't look kindly on you these days.
-- Oh, I was just taking a walk. And what are you doing here?
-- I was going to invite the Monkey King to the New Year's party I organized, it's going to be the most memorable party of the entire century! I'll even take the opportunity to invite you!
-- Invite me? Look kid, I really wanted to go but I already have plans for tonight, and if I did, Wukong would probably get a gun and start fighting me, so it's not the best of the best options to invite me to the same party as him, but thanks for the invite anyway like this.
-- What do you know. I'm going, happy new year!
MK starts the vechicle, which goes at lightning speed as soon as he steps on the accelerator, leaving a strong wind behind, but that doesn't affect Macaque in any way. The same just sighs and goes back to walking calmly, without any kind of rush or direction, some monkeys looked at him curious, one even jumped on Macaque, however, to avoid fights, Macaque undid his glamour trick and became a monkey with white fur, six ears, and a scar over his right eye.
-- Calm down, sweetheart! It is me! It saw?
The monkey that was on top of him jumped to the ground and watched him warily, but it didn't take long before he started hugging Macaque's leg. The bigger one returned to his black disguise and resumed his leisurely walk without any further interruptions.
 * * *
Returning to MK, he had already arrived at the sacred temple of Monkey King, for a change, he was gone, so he decided to communicate with the golden vision, when he activated, Monkey King was sitting peacefully somewhere in the world.
-- Monkey King!!
-- Oh, kid! What are you doing here?
-- I came to your temple to invite you to a New Year's party, but when I got there I didn't find you anywhere! Where are you?
-- Unfortunately, I won't be able to tell you because it's an extremely secret and personal place.
-- If it's personal to the great Monkey King, great sage Equal to heaven, it must be important indeed.
-- Ha ha, funny boy.
-- Anyway, I'm inviting you to the biggest New Year's party in the history of the world ever made! We need 2 party animals, but so far we only have Mei, so to make it stand out, we're going to need the amazing Monkey King! Are you in?
-- I would love to, but I've been invited to the festival, and I'm not going to miss this opportunity, besides, I'll be able to eat as many peach chips as I can fit inside my body, but who knows next year you won't have luckier?
-- If you say so, bye!
MK turns off the golden vision, Wukong remains seated, just looking at a beautiful sunset and blaming himself for having used such a lame lie to get rid of MK's New Year's party, he actually wanted to go, but unfortunately he wasn't in the spirit of celebrating, he really wanted to be alone this new year, but because of the appearance of a certain monkey with black fur, that desire was destroyed.
-- Look if it's not the great Sun Wukong isolating himself again?
-- Give me a break, what do you want?
-- Nothing, I just want to annoy you.
-- You won't be able to, I'm out of energy today
-- Looks like it's not my lucky day, mind if I join you?
-- Make yourself comfortable.
Macaque sits next to Wukong, the two just watched the moon rise slowly, from the top of that mountain you could see everything, the center, the festival, and even Pigsy's Noodles restaurant, MK had just arrived, Mei, Tang and Sandy they were at the door waiting for him, Mei was even wearing Chinese clothes to celebrate the new year.
-- Looks like they're having a lot of fun. - says Macaque
-- Looks like it.
-- Why didn't you join them?
Wukong remained silent, it was true that he didn't want to join his longtime friends, but he wanted to have some time to think, he was never one to think about the consequences, but after the battle of Lady Bone Demon, he ended up getting carried away by his thoughts generated by stress, fear, and paranoia. The truth was, he was feeling guilty for not being able to save most of his friends, and also for having dragged them into this, if it weren't for their incompetence in the past, their friends wouldn't have had to put up with that apocalypse, traumas and even fights, Mei wouldn't have had to endure the pain of Samadhi Fire, Pigsy wouldn't have had to deal with the stress, Tang wouldn't have wouldn't have to question his ability, Sandy wouldn't have to feel the fear of fighting, and MK, well, wouldn't have to question his existence or become paranoid about new demons with huge chances of mass world destruction, which is a problem even today, he has become sensitive to trusting demons and has begun to hate his insides and outsides, after discovering that he is practically the same as Wukong.
-- I noticed that you walked away from everything, what's going on in that head of yours?
-- Do you even care?-
- Regardless of whether you hate me or not, we are still promise friends whether you like it or not, I am obliged to care.
-- But there is no law that says that friends of promise cannot break the promise.
-- It's too late for that, we've been through so much, in fact, the Kid would be mad at us if we did that without having an apparent reason.
-- But I have a reason.
-- Which would be?
-- I killed you without mercy, without thinking twice, and with cruelty.
Macaque and Wukong remained silent, it was true, Wukong had killed Macaque, but he didn't hold a grudge.
-- What do you want to do now that you're free?
-- Free?
-- Free from Azure, from Lady Bone Demon, from me, you can finally forget that I exist, break the chain that binds our toxic connection to me thousands of years, just break it soon, I don't want to hurt anyone else.
Macaque actually saw a chain in his hand connecting with Wukong's, he saw it breaking, actually that wasn't a chain, it was.. a good thing, but the break was an extremely bad thing.
-- No.
-- Come again?
-- I'm not leaving.
-- Mihou.
-- I won't let you remember the past like that!
-- I'm warning you.
-- AND I'M TRYING TO MAKING YOU REALIZE!! – says Macaque, already angry. – I DIN'T DEALT WITH DEMONS, WARS, BETRAYALS, EMPERORS, DEATH, SO YOU JUST THROW A LONG TIME OPTION IN LIFE OF RECONCILIATION AND A CHANCE FOR US TO GO BACK TO WHAT WE WERE BEFORE!! BEFORE ALL THIS MESS!! BEFORE THIS SHIT SITUATION!! I WANT YOU TO STOP DECIDING EVERYTHING ON YOURSELF WITHOUT TALKING ANYTHING TO ANYONE, I WANT YOU TO STOP BEING THAT IMPULSIVE PERSON THAT YOU ARE AND CHANGE!! - Macaque stands up abruptly.
Wukong looked at him perplexed, he had never seen him lose control like that, he must be very angry to shout his feelings out
.-- I was alone and lost in the dark, but you found me and showed me the way of light, but in the first moment of weakness, I went back to darkness, with you, in this very moment, I can see the light approaching, but it depends on you whether my destiny and everyone else's will be in deep darkness or extravagant light.
Wukong looked at him with pure emotion, he was exhausted, in mind, in body, his desire to just collapse was deep and intense, he couldn't, however, do it, his stubbornness wouldn't let him, but in this situation, he had sent his stubbornness to hell , he didn't care what others would think, that the Great Monkey King, the Great sage equal to Heaven was sensitive like this, or whether it was a hoax, or any other kind of thinking. Wukong saw the same chain connecting his hand and Macaque's, but soon it turned into a red thread, that thread had several small knots, but it was still whole, very strong, and resistant, his exhaustion hit and broke it at that exact moment. moment, he started crying without even trying to stop, he just wanted to get it out.
-- I feel useless and just do everything wrong... I-I don't know what else to do... I feel lost....
Macaque looks at him with sensitivity, then sits down next to Wukong, trying to somehow comfort him, in the middle of the action, he just wrapped his tail around his, Wukong relaxed with such an action by surprise, he wasn't expecting this docile act from him, so he just responded by gently squeezing the tail of the bigger one. When midnight struck, the two monkeys were able to see MK and his friends lighting fireworks, Wukong managed to calm down a bit to admire the beauty of the fireworks, but Macaque was having trouble with the fireworks, her 6-eared super hearing made him nauseous and in pain, Wukong noticed and gave him 6 earplugs.
-- Why do you have 6 earplugs?
-- it's surprising what you can find in trash these days.
Macaque giggles and then takes the plugs and puts 2 of them in his ears, he's a little afraid to show his true form.
-- What are you waiting for? This way you will have your hearing impaired
-- I... I'm a little afraid to show my true self...
-- I bet it's better than the fake, although the fake is pretty good!
Macaque felt confident enough to undo his Glamour, revealing the white furred monkey he used to be, without further ado he puts the plugs in his other 4 ears, Wukong watched him in awe, he never thought that Macaque's true appearance was as beautiful as the one he lived with for most of his life.
-- Weird is not it?
-- IMPOSSIBLE!!! - Says almost shouting.
Macaque gives small fragments of a smile.
-- No need to lie like that, I know it wasn't what you expected.
-- LIE?? I'M SPEAKING THE PUREST TRUTH!! YOU ARE ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING PEOPLE I KNOW AND YOUR APPEARANCE, NO MATTER AS INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL, WILL NEVER CHANGE HOW I THINK ABOUT YOU!!!!
Macaque blushes a little and is surprised. The two looked at each other, happy but embarrassed, they had enough courage to intertwine their tails more firmly, Wukong, without realizing it, let his head rest on Macaque's shoulder, and the same allowed, his fingers, which were close to each other, intertwined involuntarily, and that's how they spent the rest of the New Year, together.

She was cold.
That wasn't new since she had been cold for ages.
She was also alone.
She had been alone for as long as she had been cold, so that wasn't new either.
She could remember not being cold, or alone. She used to call out and hear the other's cheerful chirps in response. They hadn't answered in a long time.
As long as she'd been cold.
But that was just how it was.
She was alone and she was always, always cold.
And she was tired of it.
She… she was ready now.
Ready to see all the things she had only ever dimly heard.
She struck her shell hard.
It cracked around her with an intensity of sound she had never experienced before.
She heard voices from beyond her shell, excited voices.
She could see the light her shell gave off even with her eyes shut.
The shell broke apart around her.
It wasn't much of an improvement.
She was still cold, colder than before, and her fur felt heavy.
She tilted her head up, and opened her eyes.
The first thing she ever saw were two pairs of eager eyes.
One mismatched pair with a pale one and gold one rimmed with silver. The other pair matched, two crimson red eyes rimmed with bright gold.
Then she saw their faces. Their smiles.
They chirped softly to her.
She tilted her head to the side and flared her ears, they felt heavier than before.
Her parent said something, she didn't understand the words, but she absolutely understood the excitement in his voice.
She yawned and stretched her tails out all the way.
Her parents cooed at her.
She gave them a small chirp back and reached out for them, making small grabbing motions for them. She shivered when something pulled at her ears, she didn't like that feeling very much.
Her parents quickly scooped her up into their warm, dry, soft arms. She made herself comfortable between them, nuzzling into their soft warmth.
Whatever her parents were doing, it felt amazing.
She was confused when it suddenly stopped. It stopped for longer than she liked. Begrudgingly, she peeked out from the soft, warm shelter and found where their attention was.
Her.
There was a glowing spot on her side.
She tapped it. It didn't hurt, but it also didn't do anything, disappointing. She tapped it again, and this time it lit up.
She giggled as it flashed and looked up to her parents, the spot was really fun!
Her parents said something, she still didn't understand, but they quickly resumed whatever they had been doing before noticing her spot.
Good, she liked it.
Her parents took her somewhere. The moment they moved she instinctively hung onto their fur.
She didn't pay much attention to where they were going, too focused on the bright spots above her. There were so many of them, and they were so bright and so pretty. They were kinda like her spot. As she stared up, her ears started flicking, picking up on a bunch of different sounds, clearer than they ever had been before.
Small, curious sounds took her attention away from the bright spots above her. She spotted many curious eyes watching her from the darkness. They were chirping and chittering to each other, curious, she mimicked them.
All the sounds suddenly stopped.
She made that same sound again.
They were still quiet.
Something warm patted her head and she heard those voices again. They sounded happy.
She yawned and curled into the soft fur underneath her. She had waited so long to see everything, but she was tired now, really tired, and annoyingly, still a bit cold.
She could see it all later.
XXX
In all his life, up until very recently, Wukong had never imagined or expected that he would become a parent, that he would have a child.
Yet here he was, laying in bed with his mate and their less than an hour old child snuggled between them. He still couldn't quite believe it.
After everything that happened… he was sure she wouldn't survive.
But she had, she was here, he was a father.
Gods that would take a while to get used to.
"Can you believe it, Mihou? We're parents!" He whispered excitedly to his mate.
Liu'er shook his head with a soft chuckle.
"I still can't wrap my head around it." He whispered.
The little monkey was a perfect blend of the two of them. Her fur was a chocolate brown color and she had Macaque's softer, thicker fur, though hers was a lot fluffier. She kinda reminded him of a sable, small and brown and fluffy. Her face mark curled at the edges and was a dark apricot color.
She looked like someone had mixed them together perfectly.
Her six ears were absolutely adorable, no matter what Liu'er thought. They were almost comically large on her tiny body. And she had the cutest little baby teeth.
She was without a doubt the cutest thing he had ever seen in his entire existence, and that was definitely saying something.
The small cub shivered again. A pang of worry cut through his excitement.
The incident clearly had an effect on her. She was fully dry and snuggled between both of their warm bodies but she was still shivering like she was cold. She was so, so small it was more than a little concerning.
And then there was the whole two tails thing, as far as he could tell at the moment, they both seemed to work like normal tails, so she probably wouldn't have to drag a literal dead weight behind her for the rest of her life.
"The crack didn't cause her tail." Liu'er said softly.
"Really?" Wukong mused.
"She was supposed to hatch three years ago, it would have been too late for a development like this. It's probably just a birth defect she would've had regardless of the incident." Liu'er nodded.
Wukong glanced back down to the tiny bundle of fur, she shivered again and curled her tail, tails(that would definitely take getting used too), around herself tighter. He ran a finger down her back, she didn't feel too cold to the touch, but she didn't feel as warm as she should be either.
"Do you think she'll be okay tonight?" Liu'er asked quietly.
Wukong met his mate's concerned gaze. While celestial monkeys were generally pretty tough, and supposedly harder to kill than a regular demon monkey, as far as he knew, no celestial monkey had been a newborn before. He and Liu'er had both been born a lot older than she was. But they were the only two examples that existed.
"She survived this long, she's only going to get stronger from here." He said confidently.
Liu'er's mouth twitched up at his confidence, but his mate didn't fully smile. He sighed and pressed his forehead against Liu'er's.
Neither of them would get much sleep that night.
Considering how curious and excited their subjects would be about the new member to their troop, and the natural curiosity of a newborn experiencing the world for the first time, it would be a long day tomorrow.
________________________________________________________________________________
R.I.P. to their sleep schedules.
Sable is a species of marten, one of those weasel looking things, they're brown in summer and their habitat is in the Ural mountains, but they can be found in China, plus Wukong has been around going places for a while so I figure he's probably seen them. They're cute little things.
I'd love to hear what you think about this story! It's really fun and I draw the kiddo a lot.
I hope you all have a good day, whatever that is for you!

Mini Mac #1 : Peach-thief vs Monkey King
Okay, so I rewatched Arrietty and this Au popped into my mind. I call it the Mini Mac Au!
For now it's just thoughts, ideas and short chapters like this one.
Will I write more about the Mini Mac Au, 🤔 idk, maybe
For now enjoy the first meeting between Wukong and Mini Mac.
Sun Wukong was staring at the bowl of peaches put on his mahogany table, gaze sweeping over every inch of pinkish skin filling the wooden bowl. “Live in a house”, they said. “You're the Monkey King, you need a palace”, they whined. It was the last time Sun Wukong ever listened to his sworn-brothers. While the stone mansion in the water-curtain cave was nice, it was also infested with pests.
Peach-stealing pests.
The Monkey King could be forgetful at times, he missed a few gatherings with his sworn-brothers and some grooming sessions with his troop, always too caught up in the present. Maybe he ought to work on this forgetfulness of his, he wouldn't like to be known as the promise-breaker. However, if there was one thing he never forgot, it was his peaches.
He could forgive one missing peach. Maybe one of his lil sun was feeling particularly hungry and how could one resist the tempting sight of a ripe peach ? It happened before, it could happen again.
He could, with a few grumbles, forgive two missing peaches. Maybe he ate them in a particularly late hour and forgot about it, he often forgot about the peaches he ate after drunken nights with his sworn-brothers.
Three missing peaches, however, was where he drew the line. Three missing peaches meant someone was daring enough to steal from him. Three missing peaches meant he needed to kick some thieving-ass.
“This house is not big enough for two peach-lovers!” Huffed the Monkey King as he took the staff hidden in the hollow of his ear, eyes surveilling every nook and crannies of his house.
He was startled by the sound of something hitting the floor, he turned around and gasped when he saw his peach-bowl flipped around like the unfortunate victim of a petty cat, peaches scattered on the floor. When he picked up the fallen peaches, he realized one more was missing and hissed through his fangs.
This meant war!
The thing about peach-thieves, realized Sun Wukong after a few days, was that they were incredibly slippery. The sage did everything he could ever think of and everytime he was defeated.
Standing before the peach-bowl through the whole night, staff in hands in case he needed to do some butt-kicking? He woke up the next morning with one missing peach and an odd powder in his nose. A sleeping medicine he realized after a few minutes of observation, one homemade and very efficient.
Laying traps around the ripest peach and placing it in the middle of the house? He woke up with the traps on him, and two missing peaches.
Hiding the peaches in a sealed safe he bought the monkey way (AKA stole) and burying the safe in a location only known to him? Somehow, he was still missing two peaches the next morning.
Sun Wukong was beginning to fall into madness, he was also making his own sworn-brothers insane with his rambling. This situation was clearly beginning to wear everyone down. One evening, after one week of suffering, Azure Lion gently gave him a rather pricey magical device made to chase away the pests hiding in one house. Apparently the whole sworn-brotherhood saved money to buy it, something about “preserving their sanity before it's too late”.
Sun Wukong put the device in his peach-bowl and waited through the night, he promised himself to stay awake, yet he failed after one hour and began to snore rather loudly while leaning on the couch. He woke in the dead of the night when the device put in the bowl began to howl like a dying wolf. The Monkey King winced, ears folded, but approached the bowl nonetheless.
What he found inside wasn't something he was prepared for.
Sun Wukong thought the peach-thief was either the smartest mouse in existence or some sort of unknown parasite he awakened after finding the old stone mansion. Instead he found the prettiest macaque on earth, folded on himself, paws on his ears.
The sage, after picking up the jaw he dropped, carefully took the doll-size black-furred macaque in his hands, now uncaring of the device blasting his ears off. The lil guy was clothed with bright green leaves, two were weaved around his waist, another was fastened around his chest like a makeshift sling. He was the size of the sage's hand, fur puffed up in alarm as he tried to curl on himself. Sun Wukong panicked when he caught a whiff of blood and immediately threw the blasting device over his window.
The lil guy blinked slowly, hands lowering as he tried to take note of the situation. Sun Wukong gasped when he saw six ears unfold, the tiny lil appendages glowing softly in the night. The macaque stiffened when he heard the gasp, he turned towards the King (his striking golden eyes piercing Sun Wukong's very own being) and hissed.
“W-wait, I'm not gonna hurt-” Sun Wukong didn't have time to end his sentence, the lil guy took something from his makeshift sling (something resembling a vial) and threw a handful of powder in the King's face. Sun Wukong coughed, and accidently let the lil guy escape. The sage wanted to go after the lil macaque but he was seized by a sudden headache and fell on his butt.
As his eyes closed and slumber overtook him, Sun Wukong thought of those striking eyes and felt his heart skip a beat.
He was in love.

Did Macaque commit the murder though or is he just easy bait
Mwehehehehe
Pls note that it is my first time writing again in a LONG time, so if you have any constructive criticisms, you're always free to leave it at the end of the story (let's keep it civilized and polite, ye?)
Chapter one if already out on wattpad! (mostly cause idk how to post on ao3)
Tumblr media
If you have the time give it a read~ thanks and love you all

To me, the Fandom seems to like they care about macaque pain and feelings, then wukong, like macaque get everything in the shipping, they ever make wukong the villain and abuser complete mischaracterization wukong character to make macaque the helpless victim and we don't even get boths about what between the two yet.
Or change macaque character to just a baby girl that does no wrong, macaque gets the better treatment then wukong in the ship,I see it everywhere,in fanfic and fanart and edits.
(From a shadowpeachshipper)
(Just my opinion)
