Hiiiii, so I don't know whats up I promise this isn't a spam or bot account, but tumblr sometime this morning terminated my main account nymphinia and my sideblog heckyealadylovelylocks for reasons I literally cannot figure out. I sent 2 emails regarding it since that blog is like 10 years old and I really wanted my sideblog to be a good archive so I do not want to lose them entirely, but I've gotten no responses yet. Im going to try my best to refollow my mutuals and the people I followed on my regular account, my apologies for any confusion Im deeply frustrated (and this is the only site I like so I also kind of hate being off here)

i have never seen two ppl in hollywood speak as genuinely and kindly and lovingly about the other person as jonah and halle do 😭😭 i just love their friendship so much, the mutual love and respect and admiration they share for each other was definitely the main reason ariel and eric's love was so believable in the live action film — they had that sense of genuine friendship as the foundation. i need them in 100 more projects together

How did you guys feel about the live action little mermaid movie?

#just curious #i #did not like it #the casting is all good and the actor for Ariel did an amazing job and her singing is awesome #but wow #it was lacking #idk maybe im just a hater #it was so unexpressionate #and the contrast and character designs were not my favorite #idk i feel like they could how really blown us away and they didn't #but again maybe im just being over critical #im not trying to start anything i just think it was lacking a little #ren won't shut up

Casca is also a weird case because I do think in some ways she's very well-written, but that just kind of makes the annoying stuff more annoying because I can see the outline of a character I would have liked.

And also because, aside from her being entirely motivated by the D, my biggest issues with her are less her personality or actions and more the way the narrative itself treats her and how the things that happen to her are portrayed.

No matter how often I watch the live action "TLM", it manages to charm me every single time. The deepened story, added new songs, Halle's greatness as Ariel and the real chemistry between her and Jonah just make me freaking emotional time and time again. The best live-action by Disney, hands down. *impatiently waiting for the sequel*
