It was all an indigestion dream that Leman Russ had

Loken hits the emperor over the head by accident and puts him in a coma instead of horus

we see malcador’s stamp collection. This has nothing to do with the plot

Oll and John come together and create a super mecha for the emperor to pilot

Basilio Fo finally activates his doomsday device, only for everyone to find out it’s just a normal smoothie machine. He was thirsty.

Erebus smokes a huge blunt. Look at him.

Rogal Dorn smokes an even bigger blunt but he acts like he doesn’t like it. Real bitch about it. Coughs a lot and talks about his teeth missing.

It is revealed that Horus Lupercal is long dead and a cardboard cutout has been placed on the bridge of the vengeful spirit in order to hide the true warmaster from sight. Who is that you may ask? Why, you fool. It’s Peeter Egon Momus.

Guilliman shows up and he got everyone’s DoorDash order wrong. 😑 again.

I keep thinking about the End and the Death, not just the fact that the Heresy is over now... but those fuckers actually managed to stick the landing! Everything was just perfect, absolutely flawless in execution about the final act.

The characters that died die in the best ways imaginable (yes, even him. I like him, but HA! There seriously is no better death than THAT. You know who I'm talkin' about,) the way the Emperor defeats Horus is absolutely incredible and way better than the whole "he killed him with mind lasers and obliterated his soul" nonsense, any and all scenes with Valdor, the use of Sanguinius through the final act, the closing of the circle in two distinct ways that ensure its fully closed, and of course, of course... Erebus getting the happy ending he worked so hard to achieve. It's perfect.

Dan Abnett outdid himself, and outdid us all, and I really don't think I'll be normal for another week or two. I'm just balled up and rolling around and screaming. People at work are seeing me, and I can only imagine they see a wraith with a thousand-yard stare.

I love it. I keep talking about it, I know. I'll shut up at some point, but this post ain't me shutting up.
