I’ve been tagged by @sunny-bexster to list 5 things that are keeping me happy right now.

My puppies! Makani is a 2 and half year old Belgian Malinois and she is the most well behaved dog I have ever met. She is extremely smart too. Cheddar is a 4 month old yellow lab and a trouble maker. He loves to taunt Makani and is constantly zooming and a huge goofball. They’ve been keeping me busy during the lockdown and I love them so much.

My boyfriend, Chris. We’ve been in lockdown for weeks now and we are still having fun. I can always count on him to keep me sane and down to earth, especially when I get stir crazy. We’ve been binging shows, playing video games, Magic the gathering, and taking tons of walks with the puppies. Since I’ve been let go from work, he’s been helping out even more finically which has just taken a lot of stress off of me. He’s always pushing me to pursue my goals and is willing to move for me if we need to in the future for my career. We’ve been talking more and more about our future and I’m so happy we are both on the same page.

Virtual game nights with my friends from across the country. I moved to Florida 2 years ago from Michigan so I only see my best friends about once or twice a year. Lockdown has everyone isolated so we’ve been more creative and I’ve been seeing them more now than before since we’ve been doing game nights.

Living in the sun shine state and having a pool. I’m so thankful to have a house with a big backyard with a pool to escape to. I don’t think I’d be able to handle this lockdown if I couldn’t go outside and get fresh air and sun. I thrive on sunshine. I’ll even bring my Nintendo switch out and play ACNH outside for a change of scenery😂

Having time to relax and do projects I never had time for when I was working. I play a lot of video games (specifically ACNH, Sims 4, Civilization, and Witcher 3 right now), I’m reading more (currently Blood of Elves by Andrew Sapkowski and Dead Wake by Eric Larson), and being more creative. I’ve started to teach myself needlework, I just bought a paint by numbers kit to try out, and I’ve been putting together a cookbook so I can have all my recipes in one physical place. I’ve also been working out and have lost 10 lbs so that’s nice too.

Overall I’m just happy to be healthy and lucky enough to be able to lockdown in place with my family. I’m incredibly grateful.

Favorite Color: I don’t have one tbh sorry, I like nude colours, and black and autumnal colours, and aquamarine cos it reminds me of a tropical ocean

Pets: in my lifetime so far I have shared my existence with and sadly lost 5 hamsters, 3 or 4 goldfish, 2 rabbits, 2 budgies, 1 dog & 2 gerbils. My dad also had 4 dogs but I haven’t spoken to him in so long that the 2 we had when we lived in Aus I assume they’re in doggy heaven now, and I’m not sure what happened to the other 2. Atm it’s just Sammi my 2yo (soon to be 3yo) belgian shephard malinois She’s being sedated on monday cos she’s punctured her pad with something that won’t come out so the vet is gonna try and see what it is that’s making her limp & bleed 😢

Star sign: I have no idea to be honest, lol. I’ve never paid attention to any of the horoscope stuff.  Height: I think around 5′7″ or so. I don’t actually know for sure, which is kind of sad lol. I think I’m about 16 hands though :P (hands being the horse height measurement) Time right now: 12:30 AM Last thing googled: Oh god, um, I’m not sure actually. I think maybe it was either the Newfoundland Club of America, the Saint Bernard Club of America or Belgian Malinois (Newfies and Saints because there’s a part of me that wants one someday in the very distant future, and Malinois because I’m pretty sure my dog is a Mal mix and I wanted to know if the problems I’m having with him lashing out at and biting people are known issues with the breed). Those are the recent things I remember googling lol,  Favorite music artist: I don’t know, right now I’m obsessed with musical theatre so that’s pretty much all I listen to right now lol. My favourites right now include Wicked, If/Then, Next to Normal, Catch Me If You Can, Book of Mormon, Something Rotten, Phantom of the Opera, and Legally Blonde. Oh and Hamilton, I do like Hamilton though I’m not as obsessed as everyone else is (because there are other shows I like so much more).  Last TV show watched: Royal Pains, its a nice easy show to have running in the background while I sim (or in this case, wait for sims 4 to load and hope that it actually will run tonight without freezing every few seconds). What I’m wearing right now: A purple flannel-type long night shirt and PJ pants. And flipflops because my rabbit’s made a mess of my floor and I haven’t gotten around to vacuuming yet.  When did I create my blog: Is there a way to look this up? I’m so clueless when it comes to Tumblr, it’s making me feel old. Lol I think it was like, summer-fall 2014? What kind of stuff do I post about: My Carnes legacy save. I’m determined to stick to it as my only sims 4 save, and then keep the legacy going as long as they’re still releasing new content for Sims 4. I think it would be fun to see how the legacy changes over time as new stuff comes out. Fortunately I’m really bad about playing sims 4 for a few months and then getting bored and returning to sims 3, so that’s kept me from getting tired of the Carnes lol, or from the legacy starting to feel too drawn out (hopefully anyways).  Do I have any other blogs: @ownedbyagsd-sims3 for all my sims 3 stuff because I refuse to give up that game.  Do I get asks regularly: No, I think I’ve only gotten one so far lol. Though feel free to send me asks, I like talking to people and getting to know people, I just suck at being the one to initiate things lol.  Why did I choose my url: It’s my Instagram and Twitter handles, GSD = German Shepherd Dog and my heart and soul belongs to a longhaired German Shepherd named Madison (who I sadly had to put down at the end of September at 12 1/2 years old. I do plan on getting another German Shepherd sometime down the line so I’ve kept the usernames, plus Madison was such a huge part of who I am that I could never change it).  Pokemon team: To be honest I never got into the whole Pokemon craze. I want to blame it on growing up overseas (and not in a country where Pokemon was a thing) as a child, but I remember coming back to the States at one point during a huge Pokemon craze so I guess I don’t really have much of an excuse lol. My brothers were into it though.  Favourite color(s): Blue, green and purple. Specifically darker blues, greens, and purples.  Average hours of sleep: It varies greatly. I’m horrible about going to bed at like 4 in the morning, so when I have to get up early I’m always sleep deprived. Right now I’m still job hunting so I go to bed around 3-4, get up at 7:30-8 to take my dog outside (he’s on crate rest due to having surgery so I have to take him out on a leash so he doesn’t run around and rip out his stitches), and then go back to sleep for a few more hours and then get up either whenever I wake up, or whenever Cairo wakes me up barking and howling because he’s very over this whole crate rest thing. Hopefully the job hunt will end soon though and I’ll get back to a more normal schedule of things.  Favourite character(s): Oh god, I don’t even know. I’m obsessed with Firefly so all those characters (specifially Mal, Zoe and River); Elphaba from Wicked; Beckett and Castle from Castle (I WILL have a dog named Beckett some day); umm, that’s all that’s popping into my head right now. It’d be easier to ask what my favourite TV shows or books or something are lol, since I don’t know that I have a lot of favourite characters.  Dream job: Trying to figure out what the hell I want to do lol (which at 26 I still have no freaking clue). Ideally something with animals that involves public education (like, having specific animals and doing demonstrations and teaching the public about those animals), or a vet tech or something in human medicine (I have my nursing assistant certification). I still desperately want to work for my former university as I love it there, but I don’t know that it’s a long-term dream job lol. 

Sooo, I suck and have no idea who to tag in this. I’m boring lol, and I’ve had a super stressful anxiety-inducing past few weeks (my puppy is dying, basically) so my brain is fried.
