it is incredibly upsetting how bilal has been pushed out of his own season. they gave him some sort of plot in the first 3 or 4 episodes and immediately moved on to jo. there hasn’t even been mention of bilal’s situation for weeks as if it was magically resolved now that him and his family have a bed all 3 of them sleep in together. HIV is a very serious and not talked about enough topic (especially outside of the gay community) that could’ve been very well explored if they had given it to the main character instead of making it a love interest plot point to create drama. but skam fr knew they were gonna get shit if they made another white girl the main for s8 so they basically tricked us into thinking we were gonna get 10 weeks of bilal’s important story as an arab man living in france only to cast him out and make the whole season about jo’s situation. and while i did like her in s7, she is insufferable in s8. she’s going through some shit, as has every character in skam france, but she treats everyone (and ESPECIALLY bilal, who she’s supposed to like?????) like shit and has no self awareness. it’s a shame because the season did start off well. but i think we all knew better than to expect anything else from skam france lol

everyone's freaking out bc maya was rude to lola and saying that mayla should just break up if maya is so unhappy but imo i dont think thats it at all. i think maya loves being with lola, but imagine if it was your s/o that was constantly compring you to another couple and trying to move the pace of your relationship faster than you're comfortable w to be *even more* like them? it reminds me of more than one post ive seen calling mayla "female elu". maya clearly loves having individuality/ time & space to herself and seems to have just as many issues with trust and communication as max does.

i personally hope that with lola seeming to be visibly hungover in the last clip that the problem's just a combination of both lola's shaky grasp on sobriety & maya liking time to herself/ not constantly having to be seen as a singular unit with her s/o.

Ohh ok hahah I watched Eyewitness when it was airing in 2016 and around new year I saw loads of posts with gifs of the s3 ending christmas scenes saying ‘Skam saved 2016’ (literally lol) and I got intrigued. I got round to watching it at the end of January 2017 and was it made me so excited. I was properly into it for about two and half years and only half heartedly watched the remakes live but couldn’t really get too invested in any of them. I was actually going to skip Wtfock but then ended up watching Robbes season and I was h o o k e d. Watching s3 clip by clip I swear I have never felt more alive in my life! Something about Robbes season was so addicting
