Writing a pregnancy fic when you wanted to be an OBGYN for awhile is truly an experience because the stuff that FASCINATES you about pregnancy, one of those things being just pregnancy in general, the average person finds disgusting. So it leads to the very specific situation I’m in where I’m not worried about the birth scene, I know EXACTLY how I’m going to handle the birth scene, what I’m worried about is how I’m going to mention the afterbirth without grossing out every reader who will have at that point read through a birth scene that I’m trying not to make graphic but things do go awry and I do need it to be intense.

I am fully aware that at that point, most readers who did not want to be OBGYNs will not be asking that question, but if I do not throw out at least a sentence mentioning that the afterbirth was taken care of I Will Die
