feel free to share your thoughts in the tags!
brief summaries if you need to refresh your memory below
scene 11: pt. 2 of shimamitsu's little misunderstanding. the next day, mitsumi asks mika for advice and realizes what she really wanted to say to shima. after school, she tells him that things are dull when he's not around. shima tells her he doesn't want her to believe or even listen to the rumors going around about him. he says it's the first time he's been real friends with a girl. the chapter ends with mitsumi calling fumi and asking her if she can feel that way about a friend
scene 19: the chapter starts with a flashback of young shima reciting lines to cheer his mom up. after both shima and mitsumi hear their classmates talking behind her back, shima talks to her. shima wishes she doesn't get hurt and never changes who she is inside. they dance to the musical number they're preparing for the school festival for a few seconds. after that, mitsumi tells him that she trips up a lot, but that makes her a pro at jumping back up. the chapter ends with their classmates singing happy birthday to shima and his mom finding a festival flyer in his room
scene 22: at the school festival, ririka accuses shima's mom of making him act for her sake again. after picking keiri up, shima's mom leaves. mitsumi realizes ririka did it on purpose and before she can say anything else to shima, mitsumi strikes her famous anteater pose. while doing his last show, shima wonders what the thing he feels towards mitsumi and kanechika is and realizes it's jealousy. after the show, shima tells ririka he doesn't want to follow her down a destructive path anymore and that he enjoys his school
scene 27: after the events of pt. 1, makoto hangs out with her senpai from her club. when she mentions yuzu and he calls her "the pretty one", she starts overthinking and gets frustrated. they part ways, she calls yuzu and shes asks makoto to hang out. when they meet up, yuzu tells her she looks super cute and fixes her hair. while listening to her speak, makoto thinks that being friends with her makes her happier than yuzu will ever know. the next day, her senpai sees her in the hallway and he thinks she was cute the day before
scene 29: while chatting with a co-worker, nao-chan reminisces abou the days she spent taking care of young mitsumi back in her hometown. in a flashback, nao-chan picks up mitsumi from kindergarten and mitsumi shows her a flower crown. nao-chan tells her she'd always wished to be a pretty girl who wears pretty things like her. after a while, mitsumi gives her a flower bracelet, nao-chan asks her if she's cute and mitsumi answers that she's super cute. back in the present, mitsumi's family receives the new year and her dad calls nao-chan. she tells him she'll visit them this summer and bring mitsumi's friends with her
scene 31: after the events of pt. 1, mika tells mukai she's gonna confess to shima and asks him if it would gross a guy out to receive chocolate from her. mukai tells her the average guy would be psyched. mika confesses, shima turns her down and she cries while saying she's glad she's allowed to fall in love. the next day, the girls share sweets and mitsumi gives shima a little heart shaped chocolate
scene 33: mitsumi and her friends hang out after school to celebrate her birthday. nao-chan meets up with goro, her boyfriend, and tells him that even if she loves mitsumi, sometimes she can't help but feel she has the life nao-chan always wanted. the next day, nao-chan makes her pancakes. the chapter ends with mitsumi telling shima her aunt's the best
scene 39: after yuzu's friends set her up on a date without her knowing, she has an argument with them and goes home early. the girls find out about this from shima, so makoto visits her and tells yuzu she wishes she'd tell her when she's hurting. while crying, yuzu asks makoto if it's ok if she doesn't have many friends, and makoto tells her it is
scene 45: mitsumi and ujiie compete for the position of student council president and mitsumi wins. ujiie cries and tells her how he really feels about her and that she wouldn't get his struggles. mitsumi also cries and says she gets it and tells him she knew all of it was impossible for her while thinking about shima and her friends
scene 46: mitsumi and shima go on a picnic date. after having a talk, they decide to break up. even if he agrees, shima still feels upset. mitsumi reassures him and tells him that no matter who he is, she'd still like him, and that's why she wants to be friends. the chapter ends with both of them walking while holding hands

CURRENTLY WATCHING:  June.
Tumblr media
KOREAN.
+ The Good Bad Mother (2023)(26 Apr-) ~ Airing. ★★☆☆☆
This has been a wild ride. I recall that episode seven was absolutely crazy. When you count up all the angst they filled that episode with, it's really unbelievable. What a roller coaster ride?
Thankful, that the drama has calmed down a lot since that episode. I don't think this is really a great drama, but for now, I find it watchable.
ANIME.
+ Skip and Loafer (2023)(15 Apr-) ~ Airing. ★★★★★
I LOVE everything about this show. I am so enamored with the female lead. She is absolutely precious. This is such a cozy watch.
+ Tengoku Daimokyo (2023)(15 Apr-) ~ Airing. ★★★★☆
I don't understand what is going on. This show has so many secrets and mysteries that it is hiding. Yet for something I barely understand, I am having a blast watching this each week.
+ Hell’s Paradise:  Jigokuraku (2023)(3 Apr-) ~ Airing. ♥ ★★★☆☆
I LIVE for this opening theme every single week. Is it strange that there is part of me that prefers the manga so far?
+ Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru (2023)(1 Apr-) ~ Airing. ★★★☆☆
This is super cute and fun!
+ Insomniacs after School (2023)(15 Apr-) ~ Airing. ★★★☆☆
This is cute. The lead couple is adorable, but I find the pacing kind of slow.
+ Oshi no Ko (2023)(18 Apr-) ~ Airing. ★★☆☆☆
I feel like I am missing the charm here. I believe it's because I'm not often drawn to stories about celebrities or idols, but this dark side of fame take isn't really doing it for me.
Plan to Watch.
Bloodhounds (2023)(9 Jun)
See You in My 19th Life (2023)(17 Jun)
King of the Land (2023)(17 Jun)

6 and 31 for the ask game :0
6. 3 characters that inspire you
i dont think i have a tendency to find role models in characters i like (becasue they r either fucked up little guys or already like me fr fr) but if I had to choose... > Chiaki Morisawa enstars - im not done with reading Meteor Impact yet etc, but from what ive seen so far he had a solid character development + I do admire passionate and responsible people :D; > Mitsumi Iwakura from Skip to Loafer - this one is a new one for me, i just recently read the manga but I love her attitude and, again, she is, a passionate and determined type of character; > Xie Lian from tgcf - this guy is a bit (a lot) of a disaster, but he did have crazy character development in the span of the novel, so compared to his state in pre-canon hes now like. the king of remaining optimistic despite the horrors. Hes chilling now.
31. 3 types of flowers you love the most
forget-me-nots my beloved (also shoutout to all blue small flowers yall r the goats)
bird cherry tree flowers (i love the smell a lot too + theres a lot of them where i live which cheers me up a lot Smile. sorry to all the people with allergies)
dandelions (ooooh dandelions my dandelions oooh. the most special little guys ever. perfect for flower crowns!)
This list is on no particular order btw just some of the flowers i like :D

Skip and Loafer Vol. 2 by Misaki Takamatsu
Second read of 2024! The second volume to this series, a continuation of this coming of age series and slow burn romance! Very cute and fluffy with some hard hitting themes of enjoying life. Honestly it was a breeze! Excited to read Vol. 31
I declare 4/5 ⭐️’s !

Skip and Loafer chapter 31:
Shima excitedly holds out his hands for chocolate from Mitsumi as she stares into the chocolate bag to specifically give him a ♡ shaped one. Shima thinks of it as mere obligatory chocolate "for sure" and seems to be slightly bothered/disappointed with a twisted face he makes all while with blushy cheeks.. more signs that point to love...!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I really loved this chapter! (Even though I can't understand most of it and have to infer from the images and google translate's rough translations)
Also, for those that remember in chapter 28 when Shima gets Mitsumi a present for Christmas as thanks for all she's done to help him the past year, he is notably kind of disappointed in a similar way after giving her the gift when she didn't react as the guys made it seem she would. He starts to question a little bit his intentions in giving it to her if only for his self-satisfaction.
And so based on that, I think this last little frame in chapter 31 subtly shows how Shima is noticing his feelings towards her more. Mitsumi has already come to terms with her realization of her love for him but deciding maybe it's not necessary to act on it for now as she's happy with just being able to sit next to him and be friends (and also since she'sso focused on her goals and school while being a little bit of a late bloomer/naive. Also how refreshing is that?? In how many shojo manga (I know this one isnt a shojo but same romcom feel) is the heroine so focused on love we forget they're in school and we start to wonder when are they studying?? Pretty sure that was a gag in gsnk once too. Ok tangent over.)
Anyway, for the upcoming chapters I think we are going to see clear signs of Shima's growing affections in a romantic way for Mistumi although he hasn't fully realized it. This last bit of panels and short inner dialogue with how excited he was for the chocolate even though it wasn't homemade like all her friends had brought in (I love that the author knows when to keep her in character, she easily could have made this generic and had her put in some crazy effort even though she is shown not to be ready for that step, and made this out of character just to provoke something but didnt), he still wanted one.
(Also just love how yet again she sees him as her family dog. I love that the author referenced that point again)
Overall, I'm excited to see where the mangaka takes it as she's done a remarkable job not falling into any cliches with this very sincere and earnest story. (Even if I'm focusing on and excited for points that seem generic for sure, I assure you this is just me being obsessed with how precious all the characters are after reading for so long and now I'm being self indulgent in their super healthy friendship/relationship bc I'm drowning in work and school and need a distraction orz)

1. what does their bedroom look like?
he keeps his space clean and organized – he finds it difficult to relax when it’s not.  his side of the dorm is relatively bare and very well-kept.
2. do they have any daily rituals?
yukio is very much a creature of habit and does basically the same thing in the same way every day as much as possible.  he doesn’t realize it, but he’s painfully predictable in his everyday actions.
3. do they exercise, and if so, what do they do? how often?
he does exercise (and he also exorcises, am i right?? haha… end me) to keep in shape for his exorcism jobs.  i don’t know jack shit about exercising but he does the usual stuff, doesn’t skip leg day, all that jazz.  he doesn’t actively try to bulk up, but he exercises to maintain his current shape.  which is pretty good, by the way; he’s not a scrawny nerd by any means.  i mean, he is a nerd, but.  whatever.
6. eating habits and sample daily menu.
answered here.
8. favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding indulging
his favorite indulgence is probably reading for pleasure, because he’s a giant nerd like that.  but his feelings surrounding indulgence are rather depressing – often he feels as though he doesn’t deserve to, and generally only rewards himself with these small indulgences after a job done especially well.  he’s like… too disciplined tbh.
12. favorite book genre?
answered here.
14. physical abnormalities? (both visible and not, including injuries/disabilities, long-term illnesses, food-intolerances, etc.)
his moles technically count here – they bother the shit out of him, by the way.  he also has a few scars here and there from his work and training as an exorcist.  hard to come away from that completely unscathed, you know?
16. biggest and smallest long term goal?
biggest is probably to keep his brother safe so they both live to be happy, healthy adults.  smallest is… i don’t know?  what even is a small long-term goal, like – aren’t long-term goals generally long-term because they’re big goals that can’t be accomplished overnight?
idk, maybe to read every book in the true cross academy library.  or at least everything that interests him.
17. preferred mode of dress and rituals surrounding dress
he’s usually in uniform (school or exorcist), but even outside of this he tends to look casually professional: button up shirts, sweaters, sweater-vests, vests, nice trousers, intact jeans, etc.  he usually wears loafers on his days off/for school but tends to stick with more sensible footwear for missions and exorcist duties (hiking/work boots).  the most casual thing you’ll see him in is a hoodie/t-shirt and sweatpants, usually only worn for sleep and workouts or runs.  though you will find him with more adventurous things than you’d expect in his closet – he has black-cat print briefs and some graphic tees that he only ever wears around the dorm, and usually only on laundry days. generally, he likes to keep it professional and keeps his clothes pressed, ironed and folded, so he wears things very well – you’ll never see him with a shirt un-tucked or a tie un-done.
24. is there one subject of study that they excel at? or do they even care about intellectual pursuits at all?
he’s very good at the sciences but does pretty well in all areas of school.  he studies very, very hard and works his ass off to do his best.  he’s basically the perfect student, which has led to him being something of a strict teacher.
25. how do they see themselves 5 years from today?
answered here.
26. do they have any plans for the future? any contingency plans if things don’t workout?
his plan for the future kind of went off the rails the night father fujimoto died tbh – he hopes to still accomplish his goals but he’s painfully aware that it might not happen.  as for contingency plans… well, his contingency plan is basically just to keep doing what he’s doing right now – teaching at the academy and working as an exorcist.  he’d like to go to medical school and become an official doctor, but money is tight, and he doesn’t have an abundance of time to worry about that right now with everything that’s going on.
27. what is their biggest regret?
leaving for the academy early.  he thinks that if he had been home when everything went down, maybe he could have somehow prevented the fight between rin and shiro that led to satan’s possession.  he doesn’t blame rin for their father’s death; he blames himself.
28. who do they see as their best friend? their worst enemy?
his best friend is probably rin – yukio isn’t particularly social and doesn’t feel he has a lot of time to form new bonds.  he considers the other cram school students his friends – at least, some of them – but he isn’t nearly as close to them as he is to rin.
his worst enemy… i’m gonna go out on a limb here and say satan.
31. most prized possession?
a bible, given to him by shiro as a graduation present after he passed the exorcist certification exam.
33. concept of home and family?
his home will always be the church where he an rin grew up, though true cross academy has certainly weaseled its way into his heart as well.  as for his concept of family, as far as yukio’s concerned, rin is all he has left, and he’s exceedingly important to yukio.
35. what activities do they enjoy, but consider to be a waste of time?
he doesn’t watch much television for this reason -- while enjoyable (sometimes, depending on the show), it’s a big time waster.  he also really enjoys taking long showers or baths, but he doesn’t very often.
38. what recharges them after feeling drained?
answered here.
39. would you say that they have a superiority-complex? inferiority-complex? neither?
LAUGHS LOUDLY AT THE SUPERIORITY COMPLEX OPTION NO WAY THIS KID FUCKING HATES HIMSELF.  if anything he has an inferiority complex -- -- -- he’s constantly frustrated with rin’s growing abilities and his own lack of control over anything that happens in his life.  he studies and practices and works incredibly hard in an attempt to compensate for these perceived inadequacies.
41. hobbies?
reading is a big one, both for pleasure and for research.  he also trains pretty frequently, if that counts?  not just physical exercise, but target practice and other exorcist stuff, like memorizing fatal verses and taming.  he goes on runs.
46. if they were to fall in love, who (or what) is their ideal?
well, he’s certainly not looking for anyone, but there are a few qualities he would look for in a potential partner: kindness, realism, intelligence, and creativity.  he also likes the idea of being with someone family-oriented.
47. how do they express love?
depends on the kind of love to be honest, but mostly through actions.  he’ll go the extra mile for his loved ones, but he’ll also push them to do things for themselves.  he’ll challenge them to better themselves.
48. if this person were to get into a fist fight, what is their fighting style like?
strategic.  yukio isn’t one to throw himself headlong into anything -- almost all of his majors fights involve a lot of strategy on his part.  he may not have as much raw power as someone like rin, but his power lies in his intelligence.  he knows how to read the situation and how to use his environment to his advantage.

KOREAN.
+ Revenant (2023)(23 Jun-) ~ Airing. ★★★★★
I LOVE this show! This is easily the best thing I'm watching right now. Kim Tae Ri never disappoints. I am loving the dark tones that this drama has offered for its opening week.
+ King of the Land (2023)(17 Jun-) ~ Airing. ★★★☆☆
This is the fun watch of the season. It feels more like a 2000s drama. This feels like a nostalgia trip for me. It can come off as super cliche, but the banter between the two leads is fun. Lee JunHo is always a joy to watch. I am relieved to see that Im Yoo Ah seems to be keeping up with him.
+ See You in My 19th Life (2023)(17 Jun) ~ Airing. ★★★☆☆
This may not be great drama writing, but I'm finding it very watchable. My primary gripe is that the leads are a bit mismatched. Shin Hye Sun can run circles around Ahn Bo Hyun when it comes to acting chops. She just brings so much energy to her characters. Ahn Bo Hyun is more just to stand there and look depressed and a bit damaged. I do enjoy the setup and watching what aspects of Ban Ji Eum's 19 lives have made it into the present day.
JAPANESE.
+ Rikon Shiyou Yo (2023)(22 Jun-) ~ Airing. ★★★★☆
This show is shaping up to be everything I wanted in a new KudoKan project. I love our leads as dislikeable as they are. It was so funny to me how they could go from arguing one moment to hosting Shoji Family Relaxing Kitchen the next. The timing is so precise. My hope for this show is that our leads are actually successful in getting their divorce.
ANIME.
+ Hell’s Paradise:  Jigokuraku (2023)(3 Apr-1 Jul) ~ Airing. ★★☆☆☆
I wanted to love this, but I much prefer the source material. I still feel that the opening is GOLD, but overall this adaption feels like a product of Mappa's underinvestment.
+ Insomniacs after School (2023)(15 Apr-3 Jul) ~ Airing. ★★★☆☆
This show has so much charm, but it's sometimes too sleepy for me.

Data Backed PPC Strategies To Help You Generate A Higher Return On Investment
Tumblr media
If you are a marketer, looking to get the maximum ROI out of your PPC campaign, then look no further. It’s quite common as most of us have been there. But you must know the fact, that bigger ad words budget, will yield greater results. This is what data suggests. According to word stream more than 18,000 reports were analyzed through the use of Ad words Performance Grader. Advertisers spend around $50,000 a month and nothing less. if you are spending high, then chances are that you will see a bigger ROI. Finding success with Ad words is not just about spending the dough. Dig deeper and you will find more to it. Put in the effort and remain active with your account. Yielding high ROIs with the preferable size of your budget is also a determining factor. Big spenders are laying over around $50,000 each month or may be more, to remain active in their accounts. Here is what you can learn from these top spenders and here is what you can do about it. 5 data backed strategies that yield higher ROI are laid out as examples here in this article. They are as follows:- 1. Advertisers with big spending uses larger volume of negative keywords Negative keywords can do wonders for your campaign. They are often too soon put on the backburner. If you have been using regular keywords and similar match types, you might want to use your negative a bit. If you don’t, then this may lead to wasted and irrelevant clicks. This is one way to burn your budget without seeing conversions happen from your account spending. Account managers who spend tons on ad words accounts also spend a lot of time adding negative keywords to their account. Many ad words account that are of low spend, do not use negative keywords. According to statistics, at least 62% of accounts have less than 250. On the other hand at least 98% of high column spending accounts have more than 250 negative keywords. Bidding correctly will take you somewhere, but if you are still unable to find conversions, then it is probably due to the fact that, people or the audience is not interested. It is more likely possible that you haven’t configured negatives that might be leading to impressions that are irrelevant. Such impressions are stealing your small budget from folks who are interested in your offer. If you have a small budget, then you can ignore negative keywords. Here is an example – Let’s say you have luxury loafers and you are bidding for keywords men’s shoes. If you are looking to serve ads for all these terms, then you must notice that many of them are just too broad. Other is probably just off brand. Monthly volumes of such terms are very high and will eat up your entire budget with just a few clicks. Thus this is something that every account manager should have figured out by now. Thus they should spend extra time or every day, going through different search queries or a whole list of search queries, to find out new negatives for different ad groups and campaigns in their accounts. Such research and study will help you chalk out keywords and search terms that have already converted and filter them out. Begin by sorting them by impressions from the list and find out which keywords are costing your money. The search query report is a great way to find out which keywords are costing you money. This keyword report is also a great way to discover new keyword opportunities for your account. 2. Big spenders of the dough are using 4361% of more ad extensions Got ad extensions? Use them! Not using the ad extensions would be like skipping a free meal at one of your favorite restaurants. Don’t pass on with the ad extensions. Don’t let this happen with your ad extensions. They help you increase the real estate of the ad with minimal effort and thus lead to bigger chances of receiving clicks and conversions. In a pool of 450 top spenders who were analyzed, there was a total average of 4361% more ad extensions in comparison to 17,587 low spending accounts that were analyzed. They have 31 ad extensions for every text ad that there is. Small spenders commonly operate on a one to one ratio. In comparison to the low spenders, big spenders have extensions who has enabled more than half of their ads is around 48%, where as the low spenders are 17% of such ads. This way the opportunity to enable ad extensions on the rest of the 83% of the ads is there. This is a great way to achieve better results from the ads, without spending a dime. Ad extensions are absolutely free. There is a wide range of ad extensions to choose from. This includes ad extensions including site link extensions, call extensions, and review extensions. This helps add extra conversion path for searchers. Here is an example:- if a user stumbles upon your ad for searching for ‘fall bags’, your site link extension of ‘fall boots’ or BOGO might seem to attract their eyes. Configure this opportunity. 3. Landing pages are a big factor for spenders who can afford to spend more Let’s suppose you have a well structured PPC ad words account. It has all the keywords that convert, ad extensions, well written ad copy, conversion tracking and everything that needs to be there to create a complete campaign. You must also remember the fact that, you need to have multiple landing pages where you can send your traffic to. Having just one landing page means nothing or is not enough. Big spenders are aware of this and thus they diversify their landing pages that are tailored to deliver the ads. This way people who are searching for your ads or prospects will respond better to your landing pages that has the search queries and the ads that are most likely to click on. In one of the account, more than 26% or at least 1 out of 4 of low budget spending accounts has just one single active landing page. This is in comparison to all the 4 percent of all the big spenders of ad words account. If you are low spender, or running on a low budget, then you may not have the design resources that would help you create that landing page that would yield conversions. The least you could do is to copy your landing page template and make the ad copy relevant. When you do this, then you will automatically find that it will improve searcher’s experience this would also be language specific and help improve the relevancy for all your users. It also helps enhance the quality score algorithm that leads to higher placements in SERPs on a low budget. 4. Tracking conversions is a religion in PPC and should be followed religiously Big spenders swear by it. Tracking conversions is not a no brainer after all. All advertisers, big or small, spend at least 50k per month for conversion tracking. Conversion tracking is an important part in yielding a positive ROI in Ad Words even if you have a huge CTR on your ads. If you are not sure if the clicks are converting, then you are probably not on the right track. You need to be transparent and you need to be exactly sure or things must be visible as to how many click, impression and conversions have occurred; what the CTR is and what the CPC, CPM or CPA is. There is also a positive side to this. Conversion tracking is an important factor and most marketers or ad word professionals realize that. Only 7% of low budgeted accounts have not enabled conversion tracking for their accounts. Conversion tracking should be your foremost priority, whether be it $5 or $5million that you may be spending on your ad words account. Setting up a conversion tracking for your website is quite simple and won’t cost you a dime. Learning how to do conversion tracking in Ad words must be your first and foremost priority. 5. Advertisers who can spend a bigger amount on Ad words tend to be more active Tracking conversions will allow you to take actions for your ad words account and grow your account accordingly. A proper conversion tracking code will enable you to track conversions and source of conversions. You must take some kind of action, including creating an account, or optimizing your Ad words account, evaluating the performance of your ads, creating a search query report or any such similar thing is an important recipe and counts towards your success. Maintaining an Ad words account, will need continuous monitoring. If you want to improve anything, then look into your account on a regular basis. People spending more than 50k are spending more time and money into their accounts than spending more time here. According to statistics big spenders are more active by 1196% and thus they are getting better results. Summary In order to be successful in Ad words, you must have a total budget of $50,000. You know what they say, with bigger amounts, comes bigger responsibility. Thus accounts or businesses that spends a lot, usually spends a lot more TLC in their accounts and thus find higher return on investments. In case you are unable to return your budget, do not feel let down or discouraged. Use all the tips above to start treating your account with care like the big advertisers do. Whether be it diversifying the landing pages, adding more negatives to your campaign, configuration of site link extensions, or any such step, to make better use of your budget. The primary motive would be to achieve a higher ROI without spending more. Read the full article
