Itto was looking at Heizou with wide eyes, expectant. You had no idea how free-time led straight to this conversation, but everyone was sharing their crushes in the other class or a whole school away. Most of the class was huddled together in a circle, watching the exchange with equal faces of amusement and anticipation. You sat on the same side but made yourself comfortable in a corner, swaddled in a brown cloud-patterned hoodie.

Heizou hummed thoughtfully, drawing it out as everyone else held their breath while you held in a laugh. “A crush? Why do you want to know?”

“Come on, dude, we all wanna know what Shikanoin Heizou’s type is! Right? Don’t we?” Itto grinned at the affirmative murmurs that erupted all around. Perhaps it was because, to them, Heizou was the most mysterious one of all—he knows everything about anyone, but it wasn’t the same when it came to him.

Heizou just laughed. Itto pouted, then whipped his head around to direct his attention to you.

Flinching under his fiery gaze, you demanded, “W-What?”

“You’re best bros with him, aren’t you? You gotta know what his type is! He never talks about the girls in our school!”

Well. It would be for the best if he didn’t. You shook your head and matched Heizou’s amused grin. “I don’t know, either, honestly. He’s probably too busy burying his face in mystery novels to care about all that.”

Itto visibly sagged. “Lame. You two are so lame! Well— what about you? Do you have a type?”

“Of course I do.” The class perked up, interested. They began piping up with a list of names and features—tall, serious, light-haired. Heizou was slowly getting more agitated by each feature that described his complete opposite. “I like smart guys.”

Itto nodded. “I guess you wouldn’t be able to resist me.”

You chuckled. “You got me right there.”

Heizou’s chair scraped the floor, followed by his light footsteps. You watched, heart racing, as he made his way towards you before pinning his arms on your desk.

“You never told me that,” Heizou said. “Have I told you my type?”

You grinned. “Do you even have one?”

Heizou drew closer. Your vision blurred, and you went cross-eyed trying to follow him. Lumine, who was sitting peacefully beside you, inched away.

“When they wear glasses—just like this one,” Heizou whispered, your lenses fogging a little from his breath.

Your face burned.

“Wait, what? What did he say? Did anyone catch that?” Itto huffed when no one did, in fact, hear that—which was for the best. They didn’t have to know how deep Heizou’s voice got as he stared right into your eyes.

“Well,” Heizou leaned back and smiled innocently at the class and a despaired Itto, “this was an enlightening conversation, but I realized I don’t actually know my best bud that well. You understand, right, Itto?”

Itto nodded enthusiastically. “Yeah—yes! I know, man, I get it. Real buds have serious conversations—I understand. You’re welcome for rekindling your friendship.”

“Thanks, man,” Heizou said distractedly, taking your hand and leading you out of the classroom.

“They’re such best buds,” Itto said, starting to cry.

Wanderer having a fat crush on gender neutral reader

BEFORE READING: okay this is just some 6am fluff, I haven’t slept at all and just wanted to ramble about scara being soft so this won’t be very well written, but it’s not horrid.🩷

You came into his life unexpectedly, incredibly unexpectedly since he never really intended to form any close bonds anytime soon for the fear of abandonment still lingered within his heart. He couldn’t help it though, something about you just grabbed his attention and intrigued him. He didn’t even truly understand his own feeling at first, a crush wasn’t exactly something he’d had yet in his 500 years of life.

You didn’t jump at the chance to talk to him at first since he had quite the reputation for being cold and distant, but he slowly made is way into your life. Coincidently finding you in the library as you studied and offering to help, he’s awfully smart for a man who looks no older than 23. It amazed you to a degree, but it also came off as a little obnoxious, he would definitely cut you off with an “Uhm actually”.

You two sort of became friends after these little study sessions happened a few times, waving and saying hi whenever you’d cross paths, sometimes he’d even give you food under the pretence of “having cooked too much” when in reality he just wanted to cool something up for you. He liked the way you’d look so happy to have a nice meal during your studies, it was a joy he never truly got to experience and seeing you get to experience it felt as if it was healing his heart a little.

He slowly began to touch you, not in a weird way, just small gestures. Hands brushing against eachother, light pats on the back or putting a hand on your shoulder as he watched over your shoulder at whatever task you were up-to. He began holding onto your hand to take you places, playing it off as simply not wanting to lose you in such a busy city such a sumeru. I’m reality he just liked the way it felt, the way your hands so easily fit together, how your fingers intertwined. You didn’t seem to mind it either, so he never stopped, but he would have if you asked him too.

You both grew accustomed to these touches, your hands remaining intertwined long beyond what was truly needed, he’d let his hand linger sometimes at the small or your back whenever you’d be stand by each-others side. At some point during this you realised your growing feelings for him, the way your heart would flutter and stomach would knot when you felt his hand on you, the way you’d feel a little giddy when he held onto your hand. It also made you feel special, this man was known by students of the academia for being a no non-sense person who rarely even paid attention to anyone, but he was here with you, showing you these affections that would have students spitting out their drinks.

He tried to hide his adoration for you behind a thin lie, saying he was merely being nice and only doing these things because you so clearly liked it. He knew the truth though, he was just scared to admit it, worried you’d run for the hills, disappear the way those of his past did if you found out he truly adored you, the way you smiled, the way you laughed, everything about you. He didn’t want to risk the friendship.

He would often go to Nahida for advice for you, grumbling and mumbling over how he didn’t know what to do, and he was so very confused. She would promote him to confess to you, seeing it as a good step in the right direction. If you rejected him then he’d learn to handle rejection, it was a good exercise for him and after weeks and months worth of discussion with Nahida he finally did it.

It wasn’t anything big, he isn’t the kind of guy to go all the way out for a confession. It was simple, you two were together in the library again, studying the way you did when you first met, he startled you for a moment when he said your name in such a serious, you panicked for a moment. Worrying if you’d hurt him, if something had gone wrong, but your nerves instantly calmed when he quietly grumbled that he liked you. He tried to make himself feel better by playing up his sarcastic persona, acting as if this was no big deal to him, but the vulnerability in his eyes told you everything.

Especially when you told him you felt the same, the looked shock for a short moment before quickly trying to cover it up, acting all confident like he knew you’d like him because he was just so cool. All a silly facade to try cover up the adoration he felt for you, you knew it was just a facade though with the way he smiled to himself and the light blush upon his cheeks. How adorable he was, and now he was your boyfriend.

“I will be right back” You kissed Spencer’s hand.

He smiled and nodded at you as you grabbed two champagne flutes off of a tray from a waiter, and headed across the room.

Today, you were receiving an award in recognition for all of your hard work on your research. It’s was a huge opportunity for you since it came with a research grant for you to continue your work.

Spencer could not be more proud of you. He told everyone in his line of sight about you and your accomplishment. The Team would have been fed up with hearing about you if they weren’t just as proud of you.

You had seen one of the benefactors enter with her wife, and wanted to be one of the first ones to greet her, thanking her for her generosity and belief in your work.

Spencer was barely barely pretending to listen to what Emily was telling Rossi, his focus trained on you across the room.

Feeling Spencer’s eyes on you, you briefly looked over the shoulder of the woman you were talking to and met his eyes. Spencer watched as your whole body relaxed slightly under his gaze.

He sent you a quick wink which caused the corners of your mouth to twitch with joy. The Butterflies in your stomach fluttered around.

“You two are so adorable it makes me sick”

Spencer snapped his head back to Emily and Rossi, rolling his eyes. “Thanks Em.”

The three of them laughed softly together.

“Seriously Reid. Where did you find this woman. She’s smart. She’s funny. And she’s intellectual?”

“Ha ha.” Spencer looked back over at you, only to find your eyes on him. You blushed slightly at getting caught and turned back to your own conversation. “But honestly, I have no idea. She is literally the coolest person I know—“

“Hey!”

Spencer laughed slightly at Emily’s objection. “It’s true.”

Just then Spencer felt a hand on his back. He knew your touch better than he knew himself.

“What’s true?”

“Just how incredible you are.” He turned to face you, that bright smile of his coming back to his face.

You smiled warmly at the pair he was standing with. “I really appreciate you all coming, it means a great deal to me.”

Rossi took your hand in both of his and kissed it. “We wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

“You’re too kind Dave.” You were over come with joy, knowing that you were surrounded by people who cared about you. “Honestly, I’m just glad some psycho-socio-serial-whatever didn’t make you guys fly across the country.”

Just as Emily was about to make a snarky comment about how they would have fought tooth and nail to be at your event, the lights flashed and one of the presenters ‘kind requested everyone made their way to their seats’.

Luckily for you, your table was front and center, one of your least favorite places to be. Spencer was seated to your right, which was helpful since it meant you had to pass him on the way to the stairs to the stage.

He gently placed a hand on your thigh, which was bouncing with nerves and anxieties. It was hard enough to be confident about your work, but hearing someone else describe you and then praise you as an introduction felt a bit much.

But all of those nerves went away when you felt his touch. You quickly slid your hand into his, eyes still focused on the speaker at the podium.

Your other hand quickly found its way to his, and started twisting the band on his ring finger absent mindedly. At least you weren’t causing an earthquake with this habit.

Spencer loved when you fiddled with his ring or his hands. He loved the way you constantly needed to be in contact with him.

Now your fascination with his hands has a myriad of reasons behind it, including ones only said aloud during girls nights with lots of wine. But you loved how soft they were. You’d expect them to be riddled with paper cuts and scars and bruises, rough from handling guns or handcuffs or dropping to the ground more times then he’d ever tell you.

But his hands were the hands of a lover, not a fighter. And it brought you so much peace, just twisting his wedding band, and absentmindedly playing with his fingers.

You only dropped his hand when they called your name.

You immediately picked it up the second you sat back down from your speech, fingers intertwined with his.

a/n: Love this! Thanks for sending it in, sorry for the wait. I kept it kinda short my brain is on a writer's strike lol. Sorry if she's ooc it's been a little bit since I watched the show. I feel so icky I've never written under 500 words lol but I'm getting back into the swing of things. Might expand on this! It's not really mentioned that reader is ftm but if I do another part I will talk about it more.

“Thanks again for helping me out y/n, and for the dinner.”

You smiled as you walked Debbie to her door, she had been coming to you for after-school tutoring sessions for the last month. It’s been a really big help for her you’re able to explain things in a way that makes it much easier to understand.

“No problem Deb, I made extra for Carl and Liam too, make sure to give it to them.” Just as she was turning to open the door her sister Fiona stepped out, on her way to take out the trash.

“Hey Fi!” Debbie greeted her sister quickly before she rushed inside, she must be eager to try what you made for her this time. Fiona and you both chuckle at her antics.

“Let me get that for you.” You offered and take one of the trash bags from her hands.

“Oh, you don't have-”

“Fiona.” You cut her off and gave her a look that she knew meant you weren’t taking no for an answer.

Fiona sent you a grateful smile and simply nodded her head. Together you both walked to the curb to set the trash out.

“Thank you again Y/n.��

You shrugged as you set the trash bag down. “Eh, no problem these looked heavy so-”

“Not for the trash.” She laughed. “For tutoring Deb and always sending her home with dinner.”

“Oh well yeah, I love Deb she’s a smart kid and I always seem to make too much so it’s no problem.”

You smiled at her and took the time to really get a look at Fiona’s appearance. She looked tired, she’s always tired. There were dark circles under her eyes, and her hair was in a disheveled ponytail. She must have just gotten off work. Still. She looked beautiful. You know she’s been picking up extra shifts lately. If you could do something to lessen her load you’d gladly do so in a heartbeat, hence the homemade meals you’ve been purposely making extra of.

Fiona and you had been friends in high school and have only recently gotten back in touch but it really feels like nothing has changed. Despite her not really being able to recognize you when you reconnected although you can't fault her for that.

“I wanna make it up to you, you know for taking care of Deb and everything.”

“Fiona you don’t have to.”

She had given you the same look you’d given her just moments before and it made you laugh, reluctantly you nodded accepting her offer.

“The place I’m working at has really good ice cream. My treat?” It was less of a question and more of a demand.

“How could I possibly say no to that?”

this is the first thing ive written in 500 years its not very good pwease forgive me

[post-stuffing, bloating, tummyache]

"Alright, I can't eat any more," Morty whispered into the mic. "I was full, like, ten marshmallows ago." He rested a hand on his belly under the table and rubbed it gently, trying to soothe the gurgly queasiness that was blooming in his overstuffed stomach. He'd gone through more marshmallows than anybody had any business eating in one sitting for the sake of ASMR, and he felt like a living couch cushion, stuffed with fluff until his poor belly was firmly filled out. He supposed it wouldn't be a very comfortable cushion, though; it felt taut and hard under his hand.

"Thanks for watching, see you next time…" He rattled off his usual goodbyes, ended the video, and promptly flopped back in his seat with a heavy sigh. Looking down, he saw his full tummy poking out noticeably against the colorful fabric of his oversized sweater. It rumbled unhappily, and he rested both hands on it. He sat there for a few minutes, desperately wanting to leave the uncomfortable wooden chair behind but feeling far too stuffed to move, the silence of the kitchen interrupted periodically by the grumbling and gurgling of his aching tummy and the cold wind blowing outside.

Finally, with a groan, Morty pushed himself out of the chair. His stomach felt a dozen times tighter now that he was standing, and he held it cautiously, unable to hold back a tiny moan of discomfort. Not bothering to touch the lengthy video he'd recorded, he trudged off to the bathroom to run a bath. It was freezing out, and even indoors with his cozy sweater, the sound of the weather outside alone was enough to make him shiver. He hoped a hot bath might help soothe his sore tummy, but if nothing else, it would at least warm him up.

It occurred to Morty that waiting for the tub to fill would be a perfect opportunity to go back and start uploading his video, but now that he was seated on the edge of the tub, slumped against the wall, he simply couldn't find the strength to get up. Finally, though, the tub was as full as his aching stomach, and he clumsily undressed and eased himself in. The hot water enveloped him like a hug, and he let out a soft sigh. Morty hated being cold. If he had the choice, he'd gladly spend all of winter in bed wrapped up in blankets or dozing off in a hot bath. The warmth was comforting on his belly, too, and, after shifting around a little, he laid his head back and closed his eyes.

While the hot water had brought some relief to his overstuffed tummy at first, the comfort didn't last long. As he lay there, submerged save for his bony knees and his head, Morty became aware of an increasing feeling of bloatedness. He held his hands against his belly, brow furrowed with discomfort, and tried to burp. Only a tiny one came up. It didn't help. He tried again, desperate to alleviate the uncomfortable pressure, but to no avail. His stomach let out a strained groan. It felt absolutely stretched to its limit, and only seemed to be getting tighter. It was as if everything inside him was swelling up, expanding and bulging and filling out his already-stuffed tummy until the pressure was too much to handle. He opened his eyes and looked down. His belly pushed out comically from his skinny torso, almost threatening to break the surface of the water.

It finally occurred to Morty that the heat was making the contents of his stomach expand, and he supposed the smart thing to do would be to get out of the bath. The idea of leaving the comfort of the hot water and returning to the chilly air seemed immensely unpleasant, though, and he pondered how much more the enormous mass of marshmallow inside him could possibly swell. He ran a hand over his belly. It was drum-tight, and his stomach felt like it was straining to hold itself together.

Finally, Morty decided he couldn't take it anymore. His tummy felt stretched to bursting, and the discomfort of the cold seemed less daunting now than the discomfort he was currently enduring. Groaning, he pulled himself out of the tub and quickly wrapped himself in a towel, shivering. Leaving his clothes behind, he shuffled quickly to his room and hastily dried himself off before tossing the towel aside to pull on his pajamas. While his sweaters were all a few sizes too big, his pajamas were not, and the soft shirt barely covered his distended belly. He tugged at it, bewildered, then shrugged, wrapped a blanket around his shoulders, and trudged back to the kitchen to deal with his video.
