Monsta X reaction to being jealous of your male friend (pt. 1)..~
Jooheon:
..~ Your bff, Mike has been working his ass off at his new job and finally has a Saturday off. You and Mike have been bffs since high school and even dated a short while but decided it would be best to just be friends. To catch up, he suggests hanging out, but it was also you and your bf Jooheon’s date night, so you decide to spend the day with both of your favorite guys. Jooheon was reluctant to let Mike tag along on your date but knows how close you two have been and he just wants to see you happy. He regrets his decision as soon as Mike walks up the theater steps and sees you practically sprinting to give him a huge hug. A hug that Jooheon felt took a little longer than needed. He says hello and gives Mike the fakest smile he could muster and follows behind the two of you into the theater lobby. Why am I following behind them? I’m y/n’s boyfriend not this guy Jooheon thinks to himself as he not so subtly squeezes in between you and Mike. You and Mike give him an odd look but brushes it off. “Oh, don’t worry about it, I got this,” Mike says as he pulls out his wallet “I feel like the third wheel anyway so I’ll pay for everyone’s ticket. Also just to say thanks Jooheon for letting me tag along. Not a lot of boyfriends would do that.” Mike gives Jooheon a friendly smile. “Yeah no problem.”Jooheon says with that fake smile of his. “Yeah you are third wheel.” Jooheon mumbles under his breathe just as Mike turns away to pay for the tickets. The three of you walk toward the concession stand next. “What do you guys want? I’m buying.” Mike says taking out a wad of cash. Jooheon rolls his eyes so hard he could’ve sworn he saw his brain. “Wow Mike! You’re really getting paid at your new job!” You say in a super impressed tone. A tone that Jooheon couldn’t help but feel inferior to. “Well, you know.” Mike says with a nonchalant shrug “Pretty soon you’ll be hanging out with a rich man” He smiles down at you, nudges you playfully. “Rich men get all the pretty girls.” Mike says this last sentence while looking over his shoulder at Jooheon with a sinister smirk. Jooheon stands there dumbfounded, unable to speak. You make your choices and Mike steps forward to pay for it “No I got it!” Jooheon says while squeezing in between you two again causing Mike to stumble back almost falling to the ground. “Jooheon! Stop being so so rude!” You say. “I’m not being rude, y/n. You’re my girlfriend I should be the one taking care of you.” Jooheon says while smiling at the clerk, handing them the cash. You three finally make it into the movie theater, with you in the middle. Jooheon rolls his eyes as he sees you and Mike chit chatting and giggling and sitting closely while waiting for the movie to start. Now he felt like the third wheel.
The movie is about 30 minutes in and Jooheon finally felt at peace. You and Mike weren’t talking or giggling about the old days. Jooheon looks over at you to make sure you were enjoying the movie when he sees Mike’s arm over your seat. That sent Jooheon into a rage. “Ok I’ve had enough!” Jooheon yells as he stands up from his seat. A few people shush him and others turn around to see whats going on but Jooheon doesn’t care. He swats Mike arm away from you and gently pulls you up from your seat. “Since you got here you’ve been trying to steal y/n away from me but it stops right now. Don’t ever contact y/n again. And I better not see your face ever again.” He takes your hand and drags you out of the theater.
Back in the car headed home ~ “I’m sorry y/n. I know you were really excited for that movie. I’ll take you to go see it again another time but I had to get you away from that guy.” He hears a sigh of relief from you. “I’m so glad you did. He was giving off weird vibes all night. And besides seeing you all jealous and possessive like that was a huge turn on.” You smirk at him. “Oh yeah? Well I must look unbelievably sexy right now because that guy really pissed me off.” “Yeah... I’m wondering if I should tell you he tried to grab my butt a few times.” Jooheon almost completely brakes on the highway, earning him a few car honks. “WHAT???” Jooheon is once again dumbfounded and threatens to turn the car around to kick some ass “Jooheon you can’t turn around on a one way street!”

I.M:
..~ “Ahahahahaha I win again y/n.” I.M says while sticking his tongue out at you like a little kid. This is the sixth round in a row you’ve lost to I.M while playing Mortal Kombat 11. You were starting to get annoyed but let him have his little victory. “I’m tired of this game. Can we play something else now?” You ask pouting and batting your eyes. “Sure. What game do you feel like losing next?” I.M chuckles to himself as he looks through the drawer full of games. Just then a notification pops up on the screen. ‘Handsomeguy90 is now online’. “Yay! Jesse is online!” I.M’s shoulder slump at the sound of that name. Jesse. Your bff from college. He currently lives about 10 hours away so I.M rarely had to see him, but he definitely hears his voice way too often. Another notification appears on the screen. ‘Handsomeguy90 is inviting you to play The Sims Online’. That was what you and Jesse liked to play together. An online game of avatars living everyday life and being able to text chat and voice chat with other players. Unfortunately for I.M, you two liked to voice chat. You grab the main controller from I.M’s lap and grab the headset that sat under the coffee table. You accept the invitation. “I guess were done?” I.M drops his hands into his lap with a sad expression. “Hey Jesse!” You say a little too excitedly. “Hey y/n! How are you? You sound so good!” I.M can hear Jesse’s voice through the headset which gave him a headache. He listens as you and Jesse make small talk before starting up the game. In this game you and Jesse’s avatars were married and had two kids with a third on the way. I.M hated when you played this game with Jesse. It made him feel like he wasn’t giving you what your heart truly wanted or you actually really wanted to be with Jesse. He watched with disgust as Jesse’s avatar continuously flirted with your avatar and also listened with disgust as Jesse said whatever his avatar said to your avatar. Things like you’re looking extra sexy today, that dress you’re wearing makes your butt look amazing, I love you so much, we were meant to be together, and so on. I.M couldn’t take it anymore. He got up to get a drink from the kitchen. As he returns he sees another avatar on the screen with the name I.M. The I.M in the game was an ugly old man with horrible traits and was the neighbor of you and Jesse. “What the fuck is that?” I.M asks in an annoyed tone. “Oh, Jesse thought it would be fun to include you in the game as sort of a comedy character. You’re our teched old neighbor who likes to spy on us and leave weird things in our mailbox and stuff like that. Isn’t that funny?” I.M just stares at you for a long moment. “Is he ok?” I.M could hear Jesse through the headset laughing. I.M swiftly lifts the headset from your ears. “Hey!” You exclaim in shock. “Goodbye Jesse.” I.M says into the headset and walks to the console and turns it off. “I.M what the hell?!” You say as you stand to turn it back on but I.M stands in your way. “Y/n I don’t want you playing that game with that guy ever again.” I.M says calmly. “You’re really that upset over a character in a game? It was just a stupid joke for the game.” You say crossing your arms. “I don’t care about the character, I care about the fact that you have this make believe life with a guy who obviously likes you says all this weird flirty stuff in your ear. That’s my job! I’m suppose to say weird flirty stuff in your ear.” You slowly uncross your arms listening to I.M. He was jealous. You felt bad for making him feel this way and being oblivious that you were doing it. You walk towards him and drape your arms around his waist. “I’m sorry baby you’re right only you can say weird flirty things to me.” I.M smiles and drapes his arms around your shoulders. “That’s right babe” he says kissing you on your forehead.

Hyungwon:
..~ Hyungwon was asked to walk in a fashion show of a luxury brand. He got you a front row seat which made you super nervous. Only the elite sit front row at fashion shows, especially for luxury brands. Since Hyungwon was walking in the show, you two arrived early. While Hyungwon was backstage, you sat at the bar. You were sitting alone for a while until a handsome young man takes the seat next to you. He greets you with a hello and you greet him back. “What’s a pretty model doing here at the bar instead of getting ready backstage?” The man asks you after ordering a drink. You giggle and explain you’re not a model but your boyfriend is modeling in the show. “Oh what a shame to waste such a beautiful face and body to just have you sit in the crowd. How about you sit next to me then?” He says while sipping on his rather expensive looking drink. “I don’t think we can just change seats like that.” You say still a little flattered while sipping on your own drink. He smirks “I don’t think anyone would have a problem with it.” The two of you sit and chat for another hour until the show is about to start. While telling each other about yourselves, you learned that his name was Jason and that he was the son of the designer of the luxury brand and heir to the business. Hyungwon originally had you sitting on the left side at the end of the runway but now that you were sitting with Jason you were sitting on the right side dead in the middle. As you follow Jason you could feel the stares and hear the whispers of the elite around you. You notice the press turning their camera in your direction. You hear Jason chuckle. “They act like they’ve never seen a beautiful woman before. Tell your boyfriend to watch out, they might think we’re a couple y/n.” Jason flashes you a flirty smile. Suddenly the music changes, the outer lights dim, the inner lights start to flashes and swirl around each other, and the emcee comes on stage to start the show. You watch as the gorgeous and handsome models walk up and down the runway in awe. Soon you see a familiar face strutting down the runway. You let out a small shriek of excitement, you see Jason turn to you with curiosity, you smile and point at Hyungwon, “That’s my boyfriend.” Jason nods his head understandingly. You see Hyungwon’s eyes look in the direction of where he originally had you sitting. Oh shit where is she? She couldn’t find her seat? She didn’t get kicked out did she? Questions were racing through Hyungwon’s head and he started to get worried but he had to keep a straight face. Hyungwon gets to the end of the runway, strikes a pose and turns to walk back up the runway, but something catches his eye as he walks a few steps. He sees you waving your hands just at chest level. He was relieved to see you in crowd but he also notices another hand. On your shoulder. Belonging to the guy sitting next to you, smiling at him. In your excitement you hadn’t noticed that Jason’s arm found it’s way around your shoulder. Hyungwon was so shocked, confused, and distracted he almost walked right into the oncoming model going the opposite direction. A few gasps from the crowd were heard as Hyungwon quickly regains his composure and continues to walk backstage. You couldn’t help but feel bad for the sudden change, blaming yourself for distracting Hyungwon. Jason notices your state and comforts you, pulling you closer to him. I can’t believe the nerve of that guy Hyungwon thinks as he prepares for his final outfit. He had met Jason earlier that day and thought he was a decent guy. They bonded a little before the show, sharing things about their personal lives. Hyungwon even told him that his girlfriend was here at the show supporting him and that he felt bad that he had to leave her at the bar. That asshole. He better not let me catch him in the streets. Hyungwon finishes putting on his final outfit and waits behind the curtain for his turn. He peers around the curtain to the audience and sees you and Jason huddled together. Jason is even rubbing the top of your head. That’s my head! Hyungwon is furious. The model that went before Hyungwon is nearing backstage. Now it’s Hyungwon’s turn. He struts his stuff onto the catwalk. You were too busy with Jason to notice it was his turn again, but Jason definitely notices and makes sure you’re attention is on him. Hyungwom reaches the end of the catwalk, poses and turns around to exit. You finally notice. Hyungwon reaches the middle of the catwalk, and stops. Then he stretches out his hand towards you, eyes keeping forward. The whole room seemed to stare and stare out of intrigue, confusion, and everything in between, especially you. Almost in a trance like state you slowly rise to your feet, walk towards the catwalk, take that one step onto the catwalk, and grab Hyungwon’s hand. The camera flashes go off rapidly, a few cheers are heard from the crowd as you and Hyungwon walk hand in hand down the catwalk towards backstage. Just before you two turn the corner to be out of sight of the crowd, Hyungwon slightly turns his head toward Jason and winks.

The phone continues to ring five times before going to voicemail, you sigh for the umpteenth time.
Your boyfriend told you last night that he was going out with some friends for a drink. Yet, he isn't back yet and it's already noontime. You don't want to be the clingy girlfriend, especially since you both have just started dating not long ago. You want to be able to let your boyfriend have his own space, but you're worried that something might have happened to him since he's not picking up his phone or answering your texts. What if he got kidnapped or hurt? And no one was there to help him?
Clicking on the contact of your boyfriend, you try calling again. After the four ring, someone finally picks up with a sleepy "hello?" However, it is not the voice of your boyfriends but the voice of a female.
"Who are you? Where's Y/B/N?" you ask, your eyebrows scrunched in an unsettling manner.
"Who's this?" the woman asks in return without answering your question first.
"Umm, the girlfriend of Y/B/N. Now would you please tell me who you are and where he is?" you snap with a hand perched on your hip impatiently.
"Oh... He still hasn't broken up with you yet?"
You're silent, confused but outraged. Your breath hitches in your throat, stopping the oxygen from entering your system. Blinking a few times, you eventually come back to your senses.
"Excuse me?"
"At least he could've told me that he's still with his girlfriend before sleeping with me..." She sighs over the phone. Before you can respond or even react, you hear a shuffling in the background.
"Who is it, babe?" It's the voice of your boyfriend's, raspy and low as if just woken up. You don't need any more information as you already know exactly what is going on.
"Y/N," the girl answers him casually. There's a quick silence before the phone hands up from the other side. You stay standing frozen still, not even removing your phone from your ear. Your mind runs wild, emotions crashing into each other. A mix of rage and bitterness takes over your thoughts. Whipping out the messenger app, you pull up your boyfriend's contact. The three dots display on the screen from his side, indicating that he's typing at the moment as well.

From: Y/B/N
Baby I'm sorry
[Read 1:29 PM 04/06/2018]
▬▬▬
You ignore the text, not knowing if he's sorry for cheating or for not telling you.
▬▬▬
To: Y/B/N
Don't text me anymore, don't call me, don't talk to me. I don't want anything to do with you. Apparently, we've broken up already according to your play toy, so let's keep it that way.
[Read 1:31 PM 04/06/2018]
▬▬▬
And with that, you block and delete his number, not even letting him explain himself. You honestly don't want to hear it, the lies or excuses he has.
The phone buzzes at an incoming notification. You're about to blow up at your boyfriend for somehow trying to contact you after your warning, except it isn't a text from your boyfriend this time, but your best friend.
The notification slides away as you lack all of your energy, not being able to click on her contact message. After a moment and a few more texts, an incoming call from your best friend displays on your screen, you decide to let it go to voicemail because you don't want to deal with anything else today.
Due to you worrying about your boyfriend all morning, you didn't get to eat any breakfast or lunch. You trudge to the kitchen, hoping some food will give you energy. As expected, there is no food in the fridge for your to cook or warm up. In the pantry, however, are packs of ramen noodles. You grab a pack, preparing a pot of water to cook them in.
Your phone rings again, your best friend's name in big letters on the screen. You sigh, caving in and swiping the screen to answer the call.
"Y/N! Why aren't you answering my texts? I can see that you've read them," your best friend calls over the phone, loud enough for you to almost drop it. Resting the phone on the counter, you click on the speaker option as you continue cooking your ramen.
"You literally just texted me, I was about to answer," you lie, turning the stove to a higher setting so that your ramen can cook faster. "What do you need that's so urgent anyway?"
"Are you with Y/B/N today?" your friend asks. The name of him just puts a sour taste in your mouth, your face twists in anger and disgust.
"No," you snarl annoyingly, with a low scoff. Your best friend senses the venom in your tone of voice.
"What happened? Did you guys fight or something?"
"I don't want to explain right now. Why did you ask?" you say, quickly changing the subject.
"Oh right! Did you hear about the hot new club opening tonight? Everyone's gonna be there! And guess what else? I also know the owner!! He was my old roommate's ex-boyfriend, but they broke it off like a year or two ago. Still, he's super hot! You know what this means right?" your friend continues to screech, you chuckle at her expression, "We have to go!"
"You know what Y/F/N, fuck it, yeah let's go," you answer, turning off the stove as you ramen finishes boiling. You need to loosen up and totally forget that today ever happened and you want to down some drinks so you don't have to deal with any of your problems for today. Another high pitched shriek sounds from your phone, causing you to groan.
"If you scream again, I swear I'll cancel," you threaten and your friend gasps dramatically. She quickly half apologizes and then proceeds to tell you to meet there at 10 pm, the premiere opening of the club. However, knowing your best friend, this means to be there at 11 pm because she is always running late and you do not want to be at a new club alone.
It's currently 2 pm, you pour the hot ramen into a bowl and make your way to your television. You watch reruns of The Office as you gulp down the noodles hungrily.
Without you knowing it, you've already binged a whole season of The Office and you would've continued if your phone wouldn't have rung 3 times in the past minute. You pick up your phone, glancing at the time. Shoot! It's 10:30 already!! You mentally yell at yourself.
Your phone screen displays a spam of messages and phone calls from Y/F/N. Scramming up to your room to quickly get ready, you pick up the phone, leaving it on speaker again.
"Y/N! Where the hell are you? I've been waiting outside for more than 30 minutes and I also tried to contact you for that 30 plus minutes but guess who didn't answer... And the bouncer outside kept asking me if I was lost, and I kept on telling him I was waiting for someone and he just kept giving me weird stares so I just went inside without you. Now the line is gigantic so good luck trying to get in. I'm going to find the owner," your friend rambles on and ends the call when she's done, not giving you the chance to answer.
In a hurry, you simply put on a plain red graphic tee, tying it into a knot on the front, and some black ripped high waisted jeans. You add some light make up since you're going to sweat it all off throughout the night anyway, finishing off with a swipe of wine red lip tint. Before rushing out of the door, you stuff your phone and wallet into a small purse and slip into your black chunky high heeled boots. Y/F/N is a lot taller than you so whenever you both go out, you have to wear some sort of heels in order to not appear as a dwarf next to a model.
It takes about 45 minutes for the taxi driver to reach the club, as traffic gets more congested once you inch near it. You text your friend to let her know you made it but you doubt she will see it. She's probably using her goddess-like charms to seduce some guy.
Y/F/N was right, the line by the entrance to the club is really long, looping around the block. You seriously do not want to stand in that long line because, by the time you reach the front, it'll be the morning already. You try to see if you know anyone in line you can join but no one is familiar enough.
You push back your hair and walk confidently to the front of the line. People waiting sends you a mix of confused and angry looks as you pass them all.
This is not your first time in a club, you've learned how to weave your way through the bouncer with the help of the almighty Y/F/N.
As you reach the front, you see a man stand by the fancy entrance. He doesn't look like the typical bouncer due to his appearance and attire. The man isn't small but he isn't super buff either, like the bouncers you've met before at other clubs. His hair is a hazel brown flowy mess and he has on more eyeliner than you. His outfit, instead of the usual all black suit bouncers wear, is more of a street style outerwear, with a bandana keeping his shaggy hair out of his face. From where you are standing, the guy doesn't look very tall or intimidating, as he leans on the wall next to the door. He also doesn't seem like a challenge to get through either, building up your confidence.
You try to walk past him as he's chatting with a few girls in the front of the line, but a hand darts in front of your stomach, stopping you.
The arm belongs to the brown-haired man. He raises an eyebrow at you, still posed on the neon lazered wall.
"There's a line if you haven't noticed," he states and stands up from his leaning position. Now that you've gotten closer, the man is a lot more intimidating than you thought. His intense eyes bore into yours, the makeup making them look even sharper. As he stands up straighter, you realize that he is also much taller, even with your 4-inch heels on.
However, you do not let his appearance faze you.
"I know the owner, don't worry," you say, sending a smile. The man smirks with a low chuckle, his arm still doesn't leave your front side.
"Do you now? And how do you know him?" he questions, with a lift of his eyebrows. You quickly gulp, trying to think of a reason. In other clubs, the bouncer would just let you in once you said you knew the owner, but of course, that probably only happens because Y/F/N was usually with you.
"He's an ex-boyfriend of my old roommate's," you swiftly retaliate, remembering what Y/F/N said earlier over the phone. You thought that you've won, but the smirk is still painted on his face.
"And what's your name?" he asked, displaying a more playful kind of grin. The man shifts so that he's fully facing you.
"Why do I have to provide a name? There isn't a list," you respond, crossing your arms over your chest. Before he can say anything else, you continue talking.
"Anyway, if we're done here, I have people who are waiting for me," you say, grabbing the man's wrist and pulling it away. Without further comments, you proceed to walk through the door into a dark hallway, following the music. Without looking back, you can still feel his gaze on your backside.
At the end of the hall, there's a black curtain in which bright lights, loud music, and busy chatter pass through. You push the curtain to the side, revealing a large room with an extensive glowing dance floor, stripper poles, tables and chairs, and a bar near the back.
You can't even see the dance floor, with the wall to wall of people dancing to the club music. There seems to be no room for any more people yet bodies kept pouring in. The music is mostly techno but with occasional slow sensual songs that called out all the couples and drunks to grind on each other.
Different colored lights flashes and shines but somehow you spot Y/F/N on a couch by the side of the room. As you get closer, you see your best friend on the lap of some man, tongues down each other's throats. Her tight bright red dress rises higher as the man's hands reach up and down her thigh, playing around with the hem of her red lace panties.
You finally reach them as you lightly kick the man in the shin, causing them to both pull away. Bright red lipstick is smeared all across Y/F/N and the man's mouth.
"Hit the road, she's my date," I say as I tilt my head towards the door. The man shoots me an annoyed look, pulling your friend's face back onto his. However, Y/F/N pulls away and climbs off the guy's lap, fixing her dress.
The guy flashes a confused look between you and your friend.
"You heard her," Y/F/N says, running her hands through her tangled hair. The man grunts something like "ugh whatever" under his breath and trudges away.
"Took you long enough. Although, I thought you would have to wait longer since the line is crazy long," your friend says, plopping back down on the couch. You follow.
"Yeah, I just kinda walked in, after fighting some guy at the door," you explain, wiping the lipstick off of your friends face, "You look like you just sucked Larry the Lobster's dick."
"Livin' Like Larry," you friend responds with a lazy smile.
"Wait! Did the owner let you in at the door? I told him if a Y/N comes to just let her in," she says, slapping your shoulder to gain your attention.
"I don't think so," you reply without much thought. "Come on, let's go get something to drink, that's mostly why I'm here."
You reach out your hand to help your friend up. She groans as you pull her from her spot and make your way to the vaporwave themed bar. You both take an empty seat at the counter as Y/F/N orders two shots. Right off the bat I see...
"By the way sorry to pull you away from your boy toy," you apologize, grabbing the shot glass and tilting it back into your mouth, the small amount of alcohol burning your throat immediately. She waves it off with her free hand as she also downs the glass. Then, your friend signals the bartender for another round.
"Nah, he wasn't that great of a kisser anyway, and I was just passing time while waiting for you to finally come."
The bartender places another two shot glasses in front of the two of you.
"Hey, wanna play coinage?" Y/F/N suggests, calling over the bartender again and asks for an empty glass. You nod and pull out a quarter from your purse.
She places the glass in between us and beacons for you to start first. You carefully bounce the coin, trying to get it into the glass. The quarter hits the rim of the glass but doesn't go in. You groan as Y/F/N takes the quarter with a smile. She is the master at this game, you have no idea why you agreed. Your friend beautifully bounces the quarter into the glass with a "woohoo".
"Drink up!"
You grab the shot glass and gulp down the vodka in one swift motion.
After a few more rounds of this, you call quits due to losing to all rounds. Your head starts getting buzzy and the alcohol is slowly getting to you. You're not a lightweight when it comes to alcohol but you can't hold too much either, you're somewhere in the middle.
Your friend pulls you onto the crowded dance floor, where you both completely let loose, rolling and grinding your bodies to the beat of the music. The two of you have been to multiple bars and clubs, by now you know how to move your body steadily to the rhythm.
Song after song rolls by, all great remixes of your favorite hits. You scan around to see who the DJ is, wanting to compliment his music taste. The DJ booth is off to the opposite side of the bar, surrounded by neon lights and colorful disco balls. From the distance, you can't decipher the appearance of the DJ, with the lasers shooting in every which direction. You pull your friend closer to the booth, a swarm of girls already packed in front of the DJ.
As you get closer, you realize that the DJ looks familiar, though the alcohol causes your vision to blur.
"Hey, the DJ's kinda hot," you slur to your friend who nods back, both beginning to dance again.
"Yeah he owns the place," she tells you while she grabs your hands to sway them to the beat.
"That's cool," you say, "You should introduce me to him since you know him right?"
"Oooo good idea, let me call him over!"
Y/F/N turns toward the booth, waving his hands to get the man's attention. You're oblivious to anything as you continue to dance with your back facing the DJ.
The man scans the crowd, looking over all of the people enjoying their time. He sees your friend waving at him before signaling him to come. The DJ takes his headphones off and places them next to his music controllers. Another guy walks up on the stage to take over the music.
Your friend informs you that he's coming, though her words are a bit slurred. You turn around seeing a tall figure weave through the crowd, saying hi to people as he passes them but not stopping. the closer he got the more familiar he is to you. Until he's a few meters away, and you finally realize that the DJ is the same man at the entrance of the club. Yet, your brain isn't in its right mind to put two and two together.
"Y/F/N. Nice to see you again tonight," the man says once he reaches the two of you. You stop dancing and so does your friend who gives the man a hug.
"Hey!" she yells over the music. "This is my friend Y/N! The one I told you about. Y/N, this is Johnny, the owner of this new awesome club."
"You told him about me?" you ask with a tilted head.
"Yeah, I told him to wait at the entrance to let you in when you got here. So that you didn't have to wait because I'm such a good friend."
As if all of the alcohol completely left your system, your mind clicks and you glance up at Johnny. He has on the same smirk that you came across earlier when you first arrived.
"Y/N...so that's your name. If you would've told me at the door, I'd let you right in."
"I got in anyway," you shoot back easily, mirroring his smirk.
"By lying to me, the owner. I could have you kicked out by the real bouncers of this place."
"You'd be losing profit then."
He looks around the busy nightclub, then back down to you.
"I highly doubt that," he says waving his hands around the room. "Though, I wouldn't kick you out anyway..."
You lift your eyebrow in curiosity. Johnny leans his head downwards, closing in on your face.
"You're too entertaining.”
The back of your neck starts to heat up, not knowing if it’s due to the warm bodies of the surrounded dance floor or the closeness of Johnny’s presence.
"Entertained only by me? Then what's the use of this club?" you reply quickly. Your best friend whips her head back and forth from you to Johnny, one comeback after another, confused as to if the both of you are flirting or attacking each other.
"I met you in this club, haven't I? You've caught my eye."
"I'm not some art exhibit at a museum."
"Though you look like you belong in one."
You scoff at his lame attempt to flirt with you. Yet, somewhere inside of you thinks his attempts are rather cute and slightly working.
"Would you like a drink? I'd like to talk to you more," Johnny offers a hand towards you. Your best friend gives you a light shove from the back, a knowing look painted in her eyes. You take Johnny's large outreached hand before he leads you to the bar, with a warm smile.

Update.
April 23rd 2019.
It's been a while eh?
It's 5:09 in the morning, I've been up since 3:45, thinking about some shit. So much has happened I don't even know where to be begin. Let's start with family.
My uncle who assaulted me as a child got bone cancer and died. My grandmother lost blood circulation in her lower body and is risking amputation and will most likely die in the next year or so. What can I say, life is going peachy!
The reason I am up is because my body woke me up, I guess to think about some shit.
I've been conflicted. So terribly conflicted. I came on here to vent my feelings and the first thing that I see is the last thing that I posted. I feel like there are so many signs telling me to end my relationship but it's just so hard. It's so hard. One part of me knows that it would be the better choice for myself, my friends can see it, my sister can see it everyone can see it. But they only say that because they don't know him like I do. They don't see the things that I see in him. Or do they feel the way I feel about him. They didn't wake up next to him every morning or watch TV with him every afternoon, smoke up together and vent to each other. They don't understand me like he does. Who am I going to speak to when I am conflicted? When I am freaking out about school or money? Who is going to understand me like he does?
I feel like everyone is biased because they only know my perspective of things and I only talk about him when I am upset with him, they've never hung out with him or gotten to know him because he is a very private person. I feel like it is so easy to say just leave him, when they aren't the person that woke up next to him or the person that I see every day. If I told my sister to leave her boyfriend, I know for a fact she wouldn't. And I've told my mom to leave her boyfriend before and she hasn't, in fact, she chose him over me. I hate to admit it, but I kind of understand why now. It's so hard to let go, to not have that person in your space, even if the relationship is almost toxic.
I just don't know anymore. I did something horrible to him too, it was his birth on the 20th and I left him alone. I don't know if he went out or not, but I left him there by himself and that is what kills me.
Maybe I should give you some backstory. I remind you that this is just my version of what happened. So on Thursday, April 18th, we were supposed to see each other before I went to work, I got there and he called me saying he was still off island so I should just go to work because I would be late if I waited (I started in an hour). So I said whatever and I went to work. Mind you, the whole week before this event we have been seeing each other and it's been tense to say the least. So I was pissed but it was whatever. Now before this, just to give some context, we just moved into another place together. We used to live together before but some shit went down with our landlord so we had to move to a new place. I had moved out before and went to stay with my mom and most of our stuff was in storage. When he found a place, he put down the deposit and signed the lease under his own name and got one set of keys. He told me and I that week we moved most of our stuff in, everything in storage was moved to his new place. So both mines and his. So continuing, I was apprehensive about leaving my mom again because she had just gotten used to the idea of me being back, she had moved some things out of the guest room to make space for me which I really appreciated so I wanted to ease my way back into living with my bf.
Back to Thursday, so I went to work, pretty upset and then he texts me asking me to come see him after work. So I do, after work I make my way to his place (our place) and then on my way there I text him to see if he is awake. He's not. Now, he works 12 hour days starting at 6am off island, so I don't blame him for being tired. But I don't want to be the one to wake you up after a long day, I know I wouldn't want to be woken up. And even at that, I figured what's the point of me showing up now, at 11:30 at night, full of energy while I just woke you up? I didn't want to go to sleep just yet and we both had work in the morning anyways so I figured there was no point. So I decided I wasn't going to call, I was going to wait out front and text him until he answers. I waited about 20 minutes or so and still no reply. Then, it dawned on me. Why don't I have a key yet? I live here too and this could have been avoided if I had a key. So that automatically irritated me more. He never answered so I went home, to my mom's place.
I thought about it some more and I got more and more irritated about this. I got home and as I was about to fall asleep he calls me saying that he just woke up and he's sorry blah blah blah, I'll tell him we'll talk tmr. The next day arrives, Friday I believe and I am in full petty mode, I am ignoring the calls and texts and I am at work. So he asks me if I am coming by after work once again and I bring up the fact that I don't have a key yet. This is what escalated the situation. I let him know that I am pretty pissed about being stood up twice, that if he knew he was going to be tired or that he wasn't going to meet me on time, he should've let me know instead of wasting my time and my gas. I also brought up the fact that I still didn't have a key yet. He kept beating around the bush about the key and asking me if I was coming over or not. Eventually, I got super pissed and gave him an ultimatum have a key made or I am not coming over. Only once I said this did he agree to give me his keys so that I could make a copy. Not even that he would make one for me. He used to excuse that since he is paying the rent and that I am paying the utilities, "it would only be fair". The thing is, I don't care about the money, I care about the symbolism behind the key, everything to me is about the meaning behind the action. The fact that you are fighting so hard to avoid the conversation about the key makes me feel like you don't even want me to be there. To live with him. Also, why didn't you tell me all of this before I started to move unpack all of the boxes with my things in them? Why did you wait until now? On top of that in Thursday, when I asked to see him, I had to ask to see him, he didn't even ask to see me. Which is very opposite to our relationship. ANYWAYS. This happening on top of the past week just gave me maaaad sketchy vibes. So I told him. I let him know that the fact that I had to twist his arm to get this answer out of him doesn't even make me want to share the space with him anymore because I don't feel like he is committed. Anyways a whole bunch of words were exchanged which ended in him blocking me on Messenger. So, this sent me into rage mode and we stopped speaking. The next day was April 20, his birthday. I wanted to be with him so bad but I didn't see him and I texted him that morning letting him know that I hoped he had a good birthday and he invited me over for drinks and some joints. I didn't respond and then 4 or 5 hours later, being his petty self, he let me know that he was going out instead. Now kind you, this guy never goes out. In the two years we've been together, we've never gone to a restaurant or to a movie or anything like that... At our old place, we used to live by the water and we never even went for a walk by the water. That's how little we do together.
So anyways, once again I don't respond. It's 4/20 so after work I want to get my kind off of everything that is going on so I meet up with some of my friends and we blaze and we talk and we eat and chill, it was honestly a good time, but I thought about him a lot during this time. He called me a couple times during that period and I never answered. When I got home that night I wished Hima happy birthday. He never replied. I think that night was the last time he called me. I think the fact that I left him on his birthday really hurt him and that hurts me to know that I did something like that to him. Especially out of anger and pettiness. If someone did that to me I would break up with them.
On top of that he had accused me of living to him which really ticked me off because I am not a liar and being accused of one really hurts. The next day I find out that I am blocked on Instagram. So by this point I see that he is blocking me one by one on all social media. Yesterday, Monday, I texted him as I was supposed to go by his place to pick up some stuff. I asked him to let me know when I could stop by. No response.
Now I feel like I am at a crossroads and I don't know what to do. See, these petty as arguments happen constantly between us. Our arguments have always been similar to this. Minus the blocking. He usually only blocks me when I've really really pissed him off. But it's just the fact that we are this way to each other, the fact that some incident happened that caused me to lose all my trust in him even though it "wasn't his fault" and that he hadn't tried to gain it back. The fact that he says one thing through his words but his actions speak differently, the fact that we never go out and now the key thing? I don't know... But to be honest, when he first got the place, I was the one who wanted to take things slow, for my mom. But now that I am here, everyday. I see that my mom is never home, in fact she has her boyfriend to keep her company. And now, who do I have to keep me company? Who do I have to talk to? I only saw my friends when I was with him every 2 to 4 months. He doesn't see my family, but yet I see his at least once a week. I don't see the fairness. I don't see the compromise either.
I love him. I really really do. I see my future with him, when he is not a complete asshole, he is sweet and kind and I know he would do things for me if he could. It's just not the things that I want him to do for me. He loves me, I can tell. I just don't know if it is enough for him or for me. I feel like he can't resist being who he is at the end of the day. And who am I to change who is he is? I should accept him how he is, I shouldn't want him to change. It's just I believe he can have so much potential if he just tried and if he saw himself the way that I see him.
Anyways, I got to get up and get to work. There is so much more to say but I don't have the time. Maybe I will follow up in another post today.
Until then, Jo.
