What other photos does Aki take besides crime scene photos?📷

His favorite is obviously crime-related photography - it matches so well with his daredevil personality. But obviously, the guy’s got to make a living! He is known as a freelancer - so his job is based on short-term contracts and varies depending on the contract.

Canonly Akihito has been seening doing wedding photography - at least at Takato’s wedding. Which i thought i might add because it seems unlike him do something like that 🤭🤭

I think he also must do political-related photography - the first episode was about him catching a diet member, a politician, doing something shady. There is also an early episode, where Akihito was supposed to interview a politician. But a senior photographer at his magazine takes over his assignment and Aki’s left being the bag boy. They go to that politician's office, or his private house or something, and they get kinda brushed aside and they have to wait in the waiting room for hours. Meanwhile, Asami shows up at the same offices, and he’s immediately shown in to see the politician. Akihito was so mad during that episode 🤭

And I am just remembering that during that crossover episode with Sensei’s other BL when aki goes to Kyoto with those high schoolers. Those kids' fathers were politicians, and Aki knew all about them. I think it's implied he knows about them because of his job. Later too, those high schools break into private rooms in a hotel - thinking their dads are there but it's some other politician. Akihito comes and smooths things over, by more or less threatening that he’s a journalist - and isn't it interesting that this politician is meeting with a construction company (aka they were doing something shady) Aki was quite smart in that episode- he saw right away that he was acutally witnessing corruption.

He’s been shown doing various celebrity-related photography. The stalker case he worked on, and meeting and working with Ai who is a Japanese idol. There was another small scene of him taking a photograph of a celebrity who was on trial for something, and Akihito got a snap of him looking smug after he left the trial. In the episode where Akihito gets those chocolate aphrodisiacs, he says that he was going to that drug dealer because a celebrity was seen going there - so that case while ended up being criminal-related was celebrity news.

He also seems to do studio photography as well, aka working in photography with models. Probably for certain ad campaigns or something. That fireworks episode - he was late to see the fireworks with asami because a model he was working with was refusing to the shot and was being difficult. The episode of Aki’s birthday where he gets a new suit - all starts with him doing some kind of photo shot with Ai and her friends, who invite him to something where he needs a suit.

Overall, for his work, he seems to be mostly interested in any kind of news photography. I have always HC Akihito as the type of photographer that is less interested in the artistic aspect of photography —- and more about how his photographs tell the truth, or have political statements, or spread information. Though he does seem to sometimes take photographs for the art's sake of it - like when he sees a beautiful scene in front of him, I feel he would get the urge to take a picture of it. Like when they were in Bali and he was seen on the beach looking as if he was framing a photograph, or of course in the most recent episode when he and Asami are acting like a tourist in Italy and he’s taking pictures of everything.

Goode Rewatch Week 33 - ‘Roadside Picnic’  2016.  Pilot for a tv show that was not commissioned.  

I’m adding in this coz we really missed out on this one. I know that if this had been commissioned we probably wouldn’t have seen Matthew in The Crown or A Discovery of Witches coz it would have been a long run.  It is still sad that we never got to see him in this apart from the trailer and a couple of clips.  

Plot details from Deadline: 

Roadside Picnic explores a near-future world where aliens have come and gone, leaving humankind to explore the wondrous and dangerous mysteries left behind. The story also explores the social ramifications of their visit, as seen through the eyes of Red (Goode), a veteran “stalker” who has made it his mission to illegally venture into the once-inhabited zone and scavenge the abandoned remains of the alien culture.

Matthew plays Redrick (Red) Schuhart.  From the trailer and clips I’ve seen he is excellent as ever.  Can’t really say much more.  😢  What might have been?

📷You recently started working at an arcade. The animatronics represented the members of the Order of the Stone. Nothing has been the same since Aiden exacted his retribution by killing them. In truth, no one knew who did it, and still doesn't. A lot of the employees gave you strange stares. Why would you want to stare at cameras all night as terrifying animatronics watched you?

Your employment begins tomorrow. You got up and headed to the arcade. What you did not realize was that the animatronics were alive, and one of them had developed a profound obsession with you.

?You received a call from an employee who used to work there. He rambled on about irrelevant topics. That is, until he noted that the animatronics do wonder at night. They stated not to worry and that it was for safety. Basically, there have been a slew of break-ins by foolish teens looking to play video games, vandalize, or simply steal items. Being the foolish person you were, you believed him and ignored the fact that the robots moved when he said their facial recognition systems were acting up, so they could not identify employees' faces and urged you to close the doors.

📷Lukas walked carefully down the halls, always keeping an eye on the cameras. The sound of metal groaning and banging on the floor signaled his presence. Lukas continued trying to enter your office. He was desperate to get inside the workplace and make his infatuation share his anguish.

📷Your last day on the job coincided with the replacement of animatronics in the backroom. Lukas cannot afford to lose you. He will drain your power so that he can eventually enter the office and take you as his.

📷Whether you refuse or accept him, he will still put you in a suit. You solely belong to him.

For my very first piece, my plan was to share the origin story of House of Nanking. I wanted to take us all the way back to 1988. It would have been a fantastic way to kick off my brand new Fangalicious newsletter. But the world had different plans. This morning I woke up to my husband, shoving his Iphone in my face. He just like every other kid or adult who was alive in the late 90's has been long awaiting the 4th installment of the Matrix Series, myself included. And this morning, the highly anticipated trailer was finally released. We watched it in bed with my two kids, Ava and Neo. Yes that's correct, my son's name is Neo, named after The One from The Matrix. You're now probably wondering the following: 1. Why would I name my son after Neo in The Matrix 2. How does this have anything to do with my newsletter which is suppose to be about food and my life being a chef, restaurant owner... 3. Why on earth is this your first piece?! Let's bring you back to February 2020 so you can understand why I'm so thrilled to see The Matrix 4 Trailer, in anticipation for the movie release in December 2021. For those of you who live in San Francisco, you may remember all the excitement back in Feb 2020, when people were spotting Keanu Reeves all throughout the city filming The Matrix. Fans were following film crews and camping out like stalkers, many even skipping work to try to catch a glimpse of the beloved Keanu Reeves aka Neo aka John Wick. Then came a flood of articles sharing photos of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss outside of House of Nanking, our restaurant. My phone was exploding with messages, is House of Nanking going to be in The Matrix?! Did Keanu Reeves eat at House of Nanking?! OMG, tell me what's going on? Did you see him when he was there? My lips were sealed until now. This morning I watched the trailer and saw our little restaurant in one of the scenes and my heart exploded. I may have shedded a few tears. Never in a million years would I or my family ever think that our restaurant could be in a movie. I mean we've shot with various networks before, such as Food Network, CNN, and ABC but in a movie?!? A high profile Hollywood movie with my all time favorite actor/star ever AND for it to be part of one of the most famous movie series of all time?!? I'm speechless. I'm so proud of my parents for building such an institution and truly blessed to be a part of it now and help grow it. I'm humbled by the producers, directors, and everyone else who made it happen and selected us for this particular scene. As you know, there are more Chinese Restaurants in San Francisco than in most cities across the country and for them to choose us out of the millions of shops is just such an honor. So for my very first piece on Fangalicious, I thought what better way to open up my newsletter than with the perfect example of how food has made both my family's life and mine such a unique and beautiful one. We've taken our life passion, turned it into a career, turned it into something that is deeply ingrained into our personal lives and it's grown so many branches of experiences and opportunities that we never imagined it can bring. Now is the time to share this with everyone else who is interested in our journey. Now go watch the trailer and see if you can spot our restaurant in once of the scenes. And it goes without saying that the movie itself will have more:)📷 The day of the shoot with Keanu Reeves, my dad and I. Not looking my best as I was extremely pregnant at the time.📷 I was 38 weeks pregnant at the time of the shoot. Our son was suppose to be named Hawk and then this amazing opportunity happened. My husband was started out as a computer hacker thought was it was fate to have The Matrix shoot at House of Nanking while I was pregnant with our son. It would make for a great story on how Neo's name came to be. So we changed our son's name that day to Neo.📷 Keanu Reeves is one of the nicest celebrities/actors I've ever met and so humbling. We got to chat with him between his shots. I can also add Food Stylist on movie set

to my resume now:)📷 5:30am call time...I'll wake up anytime for this.📷 Saving the best for last. That's me when I was in middle school, with Keanu Reeves aka my heartthrob/crush waiting in line at House of Nanking. This photo still sits on our wall in House of Nanking. If you go to there to eat, you will find this photo hanging on the wall by the window seats. The film crew was so nice they surprised me with a new and better one. They made a clearer version for me to hang on the wall so it could stay there for many more years to come. And if you're wondering why we got selected, well this photo provides a hint. Keanu along with the directors, creators of The Matrix and the crew have all been long time fans of House of Nanking. They our some of our O.G. customers. Now how's that for a first post!?
