Kohaku, Chosen of Latios, was taken one day to a secluded area by Latios. Amber was confused at first, until seeing a small make shift shrine covered in flowers and other trinkets appeared. Latias was already there. She didn't look like her usual perky self. In fact she looked like she was going to cry. Latios moved on ahead to comfort his little sister as Amber studies the shrine. She looks between it and the eon siblings, nothing how mournful the two looked. Wait. Mournful.

Oh.

She put the pieces together rather quickly after that. Latios didn't need to really say it: this was their mother's grave. One that he and Latias made together, sometime ago. The little trinkets and toys were from Latios, Amber suspects. She was always childlike, and of course she would want to show her mom anything that caught her attention. The flowers were more nearly put- definitely Latios. They decorated the shrine in an orderly manner....or as orderly as a shrine like this can get.

Amber doesn't want to ask too many questions. It was enough to even be brought to such a personal place of these two- despite being Latios' Chosen, he always wanted his privacy, and Amber abided by it. But now? This was the most vulnerable Latios has ever been with her. So now questions. Not now. Amber just sits with them, mourning the mother she never knew.

Ash after going on vacation from streaming to go on an adventure, then dying and coming back three times during, coming back to streaming: "Y'all won't guess what happened AGAIN during this times vacation!"

(dunno why but I'd like to think that in any pokemon world where Ash Ketchum is a streamer he's told his followers and subs about his deaths. So like him dying during vacation happens so often that there is now an emote for when he says it and the emote is just him in the family guy death pose)

It's consenually assumed that Ash is fibbing the 'death' count and legendary count, No one is THAT unlucky.

Ash ends up being known as the Exaggerator among the streaming community. Cancel culture left and right to take him off the platform because he's lying. But everytime you send a hate mob, Ash shuts that shit down fast.

"Just cause you guys don't believe in me, doesn't mean im lying." He scowls one day in the middle of a CraftMines game (tm). "Fuck off and eat shit, I just wanna play games, train and tell you all stories."

The scowl on his face ends up being a reaction meme for awhile, usually followed by *The only time i cuss.*

I just imagine in Kalos, Right after the Yveltal situation, he streams directly after it. It's only his face, but you can hear the hustle and bustle of the hospital works.

"Alright, Who bet on this one being worse, Pay up cause wowzers."

And the chat floods with

Wowzers?

Did he say wowzers?

Dude what drugs are you on?

Yo, are you in a hospital??

Motherfucker said "wowzers" okay old man.

"I'm on Morphine, and i took a pretty bad hit to the head, excuse me for being lingolistic of the last century." And the camera tilts before he rights it, just as pikachu comes onto the screen, looking battered and bruised and a helluva lot more gray than before that's only barely receding. "Why did i do this again? Oh- i was gonna say im gonna take a break from streaming for a bit."

"Why did you stream to say that then?" A voice offscreen asks. "Why not like, send a Pidge?"

"It's actually called Z now." Ash quips back and his eyes are closed. You can see the bruises underneath his eyes. "probably should of- i dunno Clem my head hurts."

"Okay, say bye then."

"Bye then."

The stream doesnt end right away, Ash sort of doses off with Pikachu nestling on his neck. His fur is noticeablly less gray, but no one will figure that out until they compare

At First, there are skeptics all around. Loads of people calling it a publicity stunt cause - who the fuck streams in a hospital for crisis sake!!! Theres like a hate mob for awhile, and his numbers drop wildly.

Until a video comes out, it's clearly a bystander that shows the blurry images of a Pokemon. You can see the camera desperately trying to focus but it can't. You can also see it attacking groups of people, so the camera focuses on them.

You can hear Ash screaming for his pokemon, for Pikachu, before the video cuts out.

The numbers sky rocket, abd everyone desperately awaits for the next stream. Except the Kalos League hapens, and they're all left in the dark until Ash goes back home to Kanto. His arm is in a cast, his face is bruised along the left side of his jaw, and his nose has a plaster over it.

"So." He starts the stream, smiling brightly. "Trainers and Entertainers, guess whose not dead!"

And the stream skyrockets to one of the most viewed for the time.

I went wild but like- thinking on it, Streamer AU has got me. XD

Diana managed to snag Lucius's journal on the way out and gives it to Liko, revealing the other three Pokemon Lucius travelled with: Entei, Kleavor, and Lapras. (I wish they kept it a surprise, but still cool knowing that we're getting some Hisuian content in Horizons and knowing that there's another Legendary they'll be facing eventually.)

Amethio seems really shook up by the loss, he had been so in control of the battle before, and Hamber's reporting in to Gibeon, and that's where we leave off until subs!

Been a bit on my pokemon brainrot these last few weeks, so I went and created a full pokemon team for some CR characters and decided to draw FCG’s team first uvu

Though it was a bit of a struggle trying to draw six pokemon and make a human version of FCG that would be on a wheelchair (the last thing of which I’ve never drawn until now and I needed a 3d model to help me with it orz), it was also fun ngl.

Gonna talk about why I chose certain pokemon for FCG below the keep reading, so if you’re interested, then uh-- keep reading :]

First of all, I did want to give FCG a sorta caretaker pokemon, which would be between the Chansey evo-line, Audino, and Indeedee. The reason I chose (male) Indeedee though was mostly ‘cause of their pokedex entries.

Hypno I chose due to there basically being just two dream-related pokemon (that isn’t a sub-legendary). That being Hypno and Musharna- the latter of which fitting more Imogen imo. Besides, there’s also a pokedex entry where Hypno where said pokemon is used to help hospital patients to go to sleep if they’re struggling to do so.

Fidough seemed like an obvious one considering FCG’s stress baking hobby, so they’re gonna get the dough dog <3

As for Flaaffy, it was actually a close call between them and Rotom (considering Rotom has the fucking microwave form, fan form, and lawn mower form). But I decided on Flaaffy instead since Ampharos are used as the light in lighthouses, which I thought would be a neat reference to FCG’s Light spell. Idk.

I gave them a shiny Baltoy as- out of all the non-fossil ancient pokemon- Baltoy seemed like the one kinda closest to FCG’s appearance. Idk, seemed like a nice fit :]

And lastly, I gave them a Spiritomb that would sorta be in reference to FCG’s ancient assassin mode, mostly due to this pokedex entry that reminded me of when Imogen tried hearing FCG’s thoughts when they went blank.

1. What's your favorite Legendary Pokemon and why?

(I'm using these specific classifications as I answer your question)

So hot take but I don't really feel too strongly about most of the legendaries 💀 I seem to be more of a sub-legendary and mythical pokemon fan by happenstance, so I'm just gonna expand my response with them since I'm more interested in them.

Strictly Legendary:

I like Lugia and Mewtwo because of their respective movies, but I honestly think I'm most attached to Cosmog by a long shot. I don't have too much of an articulate answer behind as to why other than Gen 7 really nailed the landing with creating an attachment to the curious lil' thing and I love it so much :') I just love its personality, and would 100% love to keep it as a little pet and yell at it to get in the bag. xD

Sub-Legendary:

THIS THING. THIS THING GAVE ME HELL CATCHING IT IN MY FIRST D/P PLAYTHROUGH AND IT MADE ME WANT IT SOOOOOO BAD LOOOL

I really, really, really loved the concepts behind the lake trio and what they represented, and was particularly drawn to Mespirit at the time (although Uxie lowkey has the best cry). Nowadays the trio is almost neck-and-neck even, tbh.

I also have thoroughly enjoyed Ogerpon - she's the only legendary I've actually opted to use in my main team throughout all the gens because I got attached and didn't like the other grass pokemon options.

Blacephalon is also a weird take I can't explain. I love the chaos and variety of colors in its design. It just seems very chaotic and strange as is. OH, AND THE DOG TRIO FROM JOHTO. AND LATIOS AND LATIAS. GOD I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM IN EVERY MEDIA.

Mythical:

OOOOH this one is VERY close because I love, love, love the mythicals apparently. Celebi's connection to time, the movie, THE GAMES, and the overall atmosphere behind it is just 110% my kind of personal aesthetic lmao. Like I'd love to have this little fairy are you kidding me???

Shaymin is a very very close second. I love how it has two forms and love its connection to nature. My connection to this pokemon in particular also grew because I associate it with the late memory of someone close to me who passed away. I think of them with this pokemon, so it holds an extra sentiment.

Otherwise I really really really also love Mew (fight me) and Jirachi is awesome because WISHES??? Bangers.

2. If you could Kieran any legendary (other than the Gen 9 legends), which would you give and why?

Lol you're so based for excluding the gen 9 mons, lets go.

Strictly Legendary:

Helloooo Gen 5 fans LMAO. I really feel like there's a lot of unspoken poetry between Kieran & the player with Reshiram/Zekrom parallels. I could honestly see Kieran holding either legendary relatively well from a symbolic standpoint, but Zekrom seems to fit him a bit more imo. He's quite motivated through his ideals to find a truth he wants to see - whether it be "the Ogre being misunderstood" before it was verified, his concepts for what makes a capable trainer and respectable or valued person, and his desires to prove himself. He gets a little too lost in his visions to the point where they cloud his perception and his judgement is ultimately soured; he's desperate to compete and externals it on the player, but in reality he's competing with the standard of an ideal he thinks he himself should be.

Sub Legendary:

I don't mean to pull too much from the lake trio with this post, but honestly, I feel like a lot of Kieran's journey and character arc can be summed up with his enduring willpower. Whether he's motivated through passion, spite and envy, or through his desire to correct his wrongdoings, Kieran really grows into his own because of how much he prioritizes his fire and determination.

Mythical:

Bit of an indescribable take for me but I'm oddly drawn to Marshadow for the mythicals - especially for Teal Mask Kieran. I think it just really symbolizes more of his timid dispositions and more gentle personality underneath everything his edgieness LOL, I guess? And there's something that speaks to me in terms of having him honor that side of him and learn to embrace it - especially alongside the other picks I listed.

This was fun!! I hope these answers were entertaining. :)

What do you think the mk1 characters pokemon would be? (in earthrealm since i dunno if outworld could have pokemons)

IMO bihan could have a glalie or something lol and liu kang would maybe have a shiny gyarados.

oh god I did a whole list for pokemon I associate with genshin characters let me do this for mk1. I'll try to explain my thoughts as best I can but these are pokemon I just kinda think would fit with them, whether it be oh them as a pokemon or a pokemon I think would work with them well.

Liu Kang - Reshiram

He's a god, I just HAD to give him a legendary pokemon. Reshiram fits both the dragon and fire stuff he is associated with. Plus Reshiram being the pokemon representing truth makes sense (though I kinda think ideals fit better for Liu Kang, I like the matching with Reshiram more).

Sub Zero - Chein-Pao

I like the ice vibe with this pokemon, and the description feels like it vibes enough with me. "The hatred of those who perished by the sword long ago has clad itself in snow and become a Pokémon." Idk!! I think he'd look neat with it :).

Scorpion - Centiskorch

I tried to incorporate some ideas of bug into the pokemon since the existing scorpion pokemon aren't that funky imo. I had to go with a fire type because, yeah, so this is what I settled with. I think I could have done better but eh none of the other fire pokemon imo fit his vibe.

Kitana - Oricorio Sensu form

Elegant, has flying elements, matches with the new feather aesthetic they put in 1, and the wings kinda look like fans! I think it's neat :)

Johnny Cage - Incineroar

This is mostly because of smash bro's influence but this pokemon is a heel archetype. They're showy, cocky, and like to taunt others! I think it kinda works. There's probably another show offy pokemon that's slipping my mind though.

Kenshi - Honedge

I wanted to give him Aegislash but there is no shield on Kenshi so oh well LMAO. I also think that the pokedex entry fits well "Honedge’s soul once belonged to a person who was killed a long time ago by the sword that makes up Honedge’s body." So yeah!!

Kung Lao - Honchkrow

I'll be honest. It's just the hat. But I think this man could use a funky bird. Idk!! I think he'd like a bird :)

Mileena - Mawile

I like the steel theming along with the jaw parts in Mawile. I thought it'd be neat to give Mileena a pokemon that can mega evolve since despite how cool it looks it apparently hurts them, which fits with Tarkat. "It has an extremely vicious disposition. It grips prey in its two sets of jaws and tears them apart with raw power."

Raiden -Jolteon

Had to go with an electric type. Idk! I think the idea of Raiden turning from a simple farmer (think eevee) and turning into an electric user fits!

Rain - Slowking

I had to go with a water type, and i also went with a psychic type because of the whole mage thing! I think the pokedex entry would appeal to Rain's ambition well too, "When its head was bitten, toxins entered Slowpoke’s head and unlocked an extraordinary power."

Smoke - Torkoal

Has the ability white smoke, and can learn smoke screen. Idk! I think it fits better than stunky line or wheezing line. There's not much in the way of pokemon with a smoke theme.

Li Mei - Arcanine

It's the pokemon (well, growlithe is) that is associated with the police in the pokemon world. That, and it kind of resembles a tiger which is part of the lion dog she uses. I do wish there was a better pokemon that is closer to fireworks than Blacepheon but oh well.

Baraka - Mega Houndoom

I like the idea of a leader of the pack pokemon, one that is dark type. I made the idea of a pokemon that is mega permanently since it fits with the whole "thing that is hurting them" and when it is mega evolved houndoom can hurt itself with how hot it's inner temperature can get. "Its red claws and the tips of its tail are melting from high internal temperatures that are painful to Houndoom itself."

Tanya - Tsareena

Thought it'd be appropiate to give her a pokemon that is a female only line. I also think it'd fit her being a more "ruthless" pokemon to match her willingness to fight those who might hurt the royal family "This feared Pokémon has long, slender legs and a cruel heart. It shows no mercy as it stomps on its opponents."

Geras - Celebi

I thought it'd be cool to give him a mythical pokemon since he's pretty close to godhood/will become the next keeper of time. That, and the whole time thing fits too.

Reptile - Krookodile

Crocodile, that's pretty much it.

Havik - Staryu

It fits the whole regeneration thing. "As long as the center section is unharmed, it can grow back fully even if it is chopped to bits." and "An enigmatic Pokémon that can effortlessly regenerate any appendage it loses in battle." Also I think it's a nice call back to when Chaosrealm worshipped water

Ashrah - Togekiss

I thought it'd be nice to give a pokemon that looks like an angelic theming (well, as close as it gets). Idk I think they'd get along :)

Sindel - Exploud

Screaming. Uh, that's really it! I also think it fits her commanding prescence I guess haha ^^ I couldn't find a pokemon that fits her hair thing so we're going with her screaming.

Shao - Bisharp

It commands pokemon, and looks like it fits the vibe of a general as well! Plus it'd match with his axe. "This pitiless Pokémon commands a group of Pawniard to hound prey into immobility. It then moves in to finish the prey off."

Nitara - Gliscor

Resembles a vampire bat. Also according to Legends Arceus, it does this: "It glides soundlessly on pitch-black wings and sinks sharp fangs into the throat of its prey. It takes on a look of satisfaction once it has entirely drained its prey of blood."

Shang Tsung - Arbok

Snake theming. I also like how the stomach can be used to transfix others and to intimidate them so it can poison others. Feels befitting.

Reiko - Pawniard

Fits the whole thing with Shao's pokemon and how it is loyal and ruthless. Follows him no matter what, I think it makes sense to me.

Hello! After this tournament is complete, I have no plans to run any further tournaments on this blog.

As for other tournaments, I have no plans to add any additional Pokemon tournaments beyond the ones I'm already running:

@ultimateunowntournament - Currently polling for 3rd place winner with plans to go to 5th place. @regionalpokemontournament - Ongoing @pokemonunderdogtournament - Nominations, will begin after this tournament completes.

While the Underdog Tournament will include many sub-tournaments with many different themes (one of them being Legendaries/Mythicals), it also has a limited contestant pool.

Doing tournaments with all the Pokemon that aren't legendaries would be a large undertaking, and in polling we've seen that a Pokemon being legendary doesn't really give it much of an advantage when it comes to this more popularity-contest style of tournament. A best legendary tournament could be more interesting, but I have no plans to run something like that myself.

And yes, the three legendary birds from the Kanto Region/Generation 1 are Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres (not Zapatos, ahaha, though that is a fun coincidence, since their actual names end in 1, 2, and 3 in Spanish). There's also Mewtwo and Mew.

Pokémon stuff

I made an oops and first put this on my WOF only sub blog, so here we are again.

To break up my dragon drawing and animating time I did some Pokemon like I wanted to. Full disclosure: I only ever played Pokemon Diamond (I also played some Mystery Dungeon but that's not a main-line game). Any way, these are the starter and the version/box-art legendary I would have gone with had I been able to play all of the versions. And it's the form of the starter I like the best not including megas. It's just the main-line, for remakes consider that I'd take the same guy again. You'll noticed I like three things that really influence my decisions: reptile, bird, and round. So have some limited explanations as to my choices.

Red: charizard because it's a cool dragon and I like Mew a lot from the first movie so I wanted to draw it. I also loved Ash's sassy Charizard who was too cool to listen to him.

Silver: Lugia is a fish bird and Tododile is smol chompy dude.

Emerald: Rayquaza speaks for itself and the mega is tight. Grovyle was so cool in the anime and in the mystery dungeon games.

Diamond: The only one I actually played and I thought Dialga looked awesome. Piplup is round bird number 1.

White 2: I didn't really find myself drawn to any of the starters but Samurott was kinda interesting. White Kyurem is dope.

Y: Ash's Greninja was wicked and I like the Y shaped bird guy.

Moon: Bat and round bird number 2

Let's Go Evee: Lefeon is very cute and Mewtwo is also cool so I drew it.

Sword: Sobble is round and sad, very cute. I didn't like either legendary very much, but this dog had a sword.

Legends: Oh my gosh high Typhlosion is maybe my favorite of the bunch ever. And god of course.

Scarlet: I love the lizard bike that runs even though it has wheels. I also love round chomper. He wants upsies.

I will draw some more. I haven't drawn Pokemon in maybe ten years. And for many of these buggers it was the first time I ever drew them. So I stuck to sketches. I also want a Poke-sona. I'm thinking a dragon of sorts, maybe Dragonite, Flygon, or Salamance?

The book about the Black Rayquaza that Liko’s father illustrated. I’ll definitely get more when the subs come out, since there’s a lot of exposition towards the back half of the episode, but we also get a name drop from Liko’s mom right before this scene: The ancient explorer’s name was Lucius.

Also, curious about the other unknown Pokemon associated with this legendary ancient adventurer, I wonder if the anime will receive its own exclusive set of Titan Pokemon?
