I consider it more of a script error that Ross finds out about Andy and Sulluvan now. As Sullivam was Andy's superior at the time of their marriage, he should report to the bosses and that should be on his record. That's how Maya knew. Ross said he read Sullivan's file. So how the hell didn't she know? Writers just get lost in trying to create some cheap drama.

It's no surprise that they went the cheap drama route and it's another plot hole! There's always been inconsistencies and considering the writers room this season...they probably had no idea that even happened with Maya and Andy/Sullivan 😂

Travis is so hurt and that just hurts me. I'm glad we are getting his backstory with Michael.

Okay so if Michael died in 2016 and it was 2009 at the start of the episode, then they were together for at least six years. So travis has been a firefighter at least 11 years at this point in the series. So what station was he at, and how did he and Michael meet. Im just curious because theo calls his buddy michael probie and then doesnt say travis name. Travis tells him name and instead of calling probie as well making me believe he had been either a firefighter for a bit longer than Michael or he is from a different station, because surely if they were all at the same station he would call him by name or maybe travis is from a different shift at the station.

I love this episode but it still left me with questions.

Also so i didnt even make it five minutes in, thanks internet let's restart it.

Also are they all in the same academy class because it sounds like it.

I'm not okay with travic being not a dynamic duo at the start, i love their friendship.

Hey look the captain has returned lol, also this sushi conversation i have had with my coworker. Leftover sushibis just wrong, fight me on this. Im glad maya agrees. Also i agree with sulluvan its from the grocery store, i dont eat my sushi from anywhere but a restaurant thats gross, and making it day old is worse.

Of course travis agrees with the sushi talk, they are truly two peas in a pod. Im surprised vic didnt ask to stay at maya and carina's for a few days.

I like theo and jack this episode.

Vic looks tripped out by travis showing her his scars lmao. Travis and this scar analogy is fantastic and makes me giggle, so dramatic.

I still dont know how i feel about these two drug addicts.

First commercial and i just want to add that the sushi scene i love, the family feel is wonderful.

Listening to libby you can tell how troubled travis is by the look on his face. Its like he's thinking what if something were to happen to Hughes and we weren't in a good place.

Im glad jack came to talk to theo. It's good for them both.

This proposal is so cute, the double proposal makes me so happy.

Travis needs to become a dad, he so wanted that future with Michael.

I totally get travis's feelings about theo in light of Michael's death but with how involved he was with the two i wish travis had found some way to heal with his friend sooner.

So travis is in a apartment instead of his house with michael, howd that happen.

The things they are saying to each other are so hard. Everyone grieves differently.

Okay how long was theo a firefighter before he became captain. They were possibly in the academy in 2009, he was training for lt in 2010 and in 2012 he was put up for captain. So it seems he was on the fast track like maya. Okay he was only at lt for 6 months with may he a bit longer than maya.

Though she definitely made better decisions as captain. Also i love that ripley put up for it and ripley is who told maya to become lt and that she'd be a good captain.

Theo's joke about dying in a fire is just wrong.

Theo did make a bad call like travis worried but his being green should be a reason to find forgiveness for him.

Im glad michael stood uo for his friend. Also travis asked if it was a good idea theo being michaels captain, not ours. That further leads me to believe that travis was at a different station. I really cant shake the thought that he was at station 19 by this point for the simple fact of capt hererra saying he hand picked all of them.

Its nice that travis is finally talking to vic about his anger and sadness over michael, his grief and apologizing for his comments about ripley.

Okay so based off the past episodes for the characters, gibson and miller have been at the station longer than andy and maya and it appears travis has been as well. So that just has me questioning how long hughes has been, did we get dates when we learned how she became a firefighter, i cant remember.

Who notified travis that Michael was gone? He wasn't on scene otherwise he'd already have seen theo.

Theo was so good to own up to his mistake to the higher ups and travis.

The house vs apartment thing bothers me about station 19. Like maya's apartment always felt like a house and then we see its an apartment. Travis lived in a house with Michael and now has an apartment filled with Michael's things. Then Jack had an apartment or something in season 3 and now lives with martha and co. Then vic is basically homelessx had an apartment then jumped from friends homes. I dunno why i bothers me so, i guess it just feels so inconsistent, i dunno if that makes sense.

Ugh the ruiz and Gibson scene here is so good for them once again and im glad it helped marcus. Im sad marcus wont be a part of jacks life anymore.

Theo why did you decide to talk to vic about ripley? Not that it was a bad talk just curious what sparked it.

Okay so hughes was probie in 2016 after michael died. Ugh i need to know more about travis time at station 19 before during or after whatever michael died. Also when did andy and maya graduate im blanking on the year.

Travic's first scene at the station together is so lovely.

Ugh travis's phone call is so rough.

So travis cant vacation very well either, no wonder he told maya to enjoy her trip with carina in sesson 3.

The station 19 actors are so phenomenal. Such a wonderfully acted episode.

So as im sure my followers and anyone else reading this has gathered, i decided to do this live blog as one whole thing since the anon was upset by my previous posts. nah im kidding yes she is gonna be okay!!! but this moment is especially horrific for a time because this is right after mochi kills the first witch king, and so no more dark magic = no more resurrection magic to use.

it actually ends up being up to sulluvan!! and its something that gets mentioned pretty early on in the story as a passing conversation between him and mochi: as the lord of the undertakers, he gets has the ability to send one (1) soul back to the realm of the living after theyve passed into his realm. each lord gets to do this only once in their hundreds of thousands of years serving so they have to think REALLY HARD about who they use it on

because its also one of those things where its like.... sending them back doesnt guarantee theyre gonna live very long. it carries no special properties, its not like theyre immortal or indestructible afterwards, and they will eventually find their way back to him at the end of their life, so its something considered especially precious and you have to be VERY careful about not wasting it

anyway. hopefully by the end of the story its one of those things the readers wouldve forgotten all about and when he reminds mochi, people are like OH SHIT I FORGOT HE COULD DO THAT!!!!!!!

and he has no reservations. "Who better to use it on than the cat witch who saved the world," he tells her

i think oscar would be a worthy semi-cryptid. at some point to avoid an actual physical conflict with the merchant, oscar slaps a "sale!" sign on the spring of life shop goods and says "Let's settle this like men and not animals, shall we?"

i like to imagine theres a lot of hostility between madam springs and sulluvan, one whose job is to deliver souls and the other extends life...."You're putting me out of a job, rat lady." sulluvan tells her. its not even for a noble cause, she keeps people alive for money, he thinks.

also a lot of hostility between the merchant and madam springs. "The best goods at the best prices," the merchant claims about his wares, and then finds out madam springs is selling "better" elixirs, "ethically sourced," and "100% natural". "I can't wait for your replacement," he sings in passing. "I'll make sure they're worse than me." is all she has to say to him

ok but. IMAGINE the entire story lime never cries once. like he never cries he never shows any emotion but when this happens to mochi he has the ultimate meltdown

YEAP YOU NAILED IT!!!!!!! THIS is catalyst for limes thing about not crying for anything. throughout the story actually now that i think about it perhaps he really doesnt ever cry once?? obviously has strong negative emotions from time to time but tears are never involved until this nonsense

can you imagine that feeling....this girl that he grew up with and has loved his whole life, watching across the battlefield as that burst of light exits her body and she just falls to the floor. no goodbyes, no time to even look at each other before her eyes go dark and lifeless. it takes him a few seconds to even haul himself over there to her side. and by the time hes there shes long gone. nothing. no magic left to save her, no doctors can heal her, the very essence of her soul turned to light and shadow and dissipated into the atmosphere. for a second it doesnt even feel real. it doesnt even feel like her. that familiar bright shine in her eyes all turned to an shallow emptiness.

Has...Oscar tangled at all with the merchant before? Maybe made an impression that made the merchant think "wow this kid is actually kinda annoying" ? It also makes me think, okay if oscar is mentored by madame springs and he succeeds her, that would certainly be a heck of a way for them to be "worse than her."

Nosy persistent conspiracy theorist who wants to uncover your true nature AND who's also trying to run you out of a business in the healing sector? I'd start losing my patience. Tho this is assuming oscar's penchant for the weird lives on even in older age

you know...this is definitely something i need to explore more because!!!! true!!! he is going to eventually replace madam springs, and that means on some level, oscar will know the merchant beyond "npc guy who sells things with limited dialogue options"

for now (and throughout most of the story) oscar is just "the apprentice." madam springs is always still the one to interact with the merchant, and you see oscar just kinda smiling and listening in the background waiting for them to stop bickering.

BUT when oscar DOES interact with the merchant (in a non-buyer-seller context), he IS worse. but its in the "I'm a better healer than madam springs and also she charges too much for the work we do imo." so hes even WORSE competition. and i think this is the only way to actually irritate the merchant, is if you start interfering with his business in a way where he cant oppose you.

lore fact: the merchant really does have the best goods at the best prices!! hes the kind of npc you would see on RPG guides about "if you need [item] you need to / should get it from the merchant because hes the only one that sells it / he has the cheapest price and refresh rate." and the ONLY one who can beat him (not even for everything, just for healing items) is madam springs. so her business is the ONLY thing that is mildly a threat to him, and he hates it. i dont think you see him get irritated at anyone/anything else except her!!

(and he cant steal her formulas or kill her either. "Her business patented the formula before the fall of the witch king, so I'm assuming he can't legally take it and sell it in his own shop." --Sulluvan about madam springs and the merchant)

on the note of oscar trying to uncover his true nature, oscar is smart enough to not mess with it. its mochi and lime who almost fucking die trying to uncover it, against the advice of EVERYONE telling them to leave it alone. the only reason they didnt die is that the merchant spared them because he knew they both still had a part to play that hadn't come to pass yet. (also i want an episode that delves into who/what he is without my main characters dying LMFAO). so after that incident, mochi and lime both tell oscar and the guild about it, so he leaves it alone

(side note: at the moment, lime is actually the one in the guild who knows the merchant the best, strangely. i think its the black canvas thing about him, that whatever magic the merchant uses that prevents people from questioning his nature, it doesnt work on lime. and by "knows him the best" i mean he gets a bit more cryptic dialogue from him than the others)

What was Tiramisu like as The Cat Witch™? I’d like to imagine she’d have crazy stories or “mom lore” and she’ll just randomly say the most wack messed up shit that you’ve heard as she goes back to doing mom things.

Tiramisu: yeah there was this one time I got a discount from the Merchant, such a sweetheart he is. Anyone want brownies? They’re still hot!

HONESTLY IM NOT TOTALLY SURE WHAT TIRAMISU'S WITCH LIFE WAS LIKE!!!!!! i think she was the adventurous traveling type....definitely spent a lot of time in the desert region (where she met mochis father)

but certainly had more of a reckless streak than mochi...i think grandma mocha was quite hard on her after amanita disappeared (something about having to really be THE cat witch. owning it on a higher level since its not technically the bloodline. even though passing the magic to a non-relative isnt uncommon, maybe its less common for the coven families? who knows) anyway she was a lot more free spirited, methinks

(and settled down a lot more after she had mochi. her precious baby girl. her sweet little angel)

"Oh its not chit-chat! Theres a man here who keeps bothering my friend: very tall, blue eyes, looks like he would have really big horns if we were in a different dimension-" and lime IMMEDIATELY pulls out his com link like "If anyone sees a tall asshole with a snarky attitude, black hair blue eyes, escort him out of the building" and gives oscar a fist bump)
