hiii thank you for the ask even though I’m super not active at the moment skdhdh 💕💕💕

my favorite fic i’ve written in LITG is definitely different but the same. there are a lot of things i’d probably change about it now since it’s been almost a YEAR since i started it. i still love it, though. i’m proud of my approach to growing harry up a bit and also happy i got to explore the way former contestants might return to somewhat normal life after the show and what experiences on the show might lead them to do that.

i feel like anyone who knows me will know my answer to the second question but i think about Jaded by @mrsbsmooth so much. it’s constant. it’s so fun and messy and does so much with such a bad canon. i love that it is able to humanize suresh without sanitizing him or warping canon beyond belief. suzi ur everything to me 🤍🤍🤍 xoxoxox

My top five favourite fics I've written:

5. Jaded

Sometimes, the things you're most proud of are the ones that felt the most challenging at the time. At times, this fic fought me. Suresh was never my favourite character, nor did I start out wanting to redeem him; I just felt like his story was so unfinished and so lacking in detail. I’m so grateful that people seemed to like this one because ultimately, it was worth it. 🥰

4. Chanel Paris-Biarritz

Another one that pushed me at the time. When I wrote this, I was still a really new writer, and I was only just starting to become aware of areas I could improve. I knew my male characters were very similar, and I wanted to write this one differently. Youcef was just such a poetic and introspective character - very different to the other people I was writing. It seemed so different at the time, idk, I hope it still stands up. I just really liked this one and I’m still really proud of it.

3. Men of Particular Interests

God this spot was so hard to decide between this and Cabernet Sauvignon. Threesomes are hard as fuck to write, but I was really proud of both of these 🤣 Ultimately this one wins out, because it was my first foray into Noah, M/M/M, and I think my first 1st person fic? I usually hate 1st person but LIFE HACK it removes one set of he/him/his in the story and replaces it with “my”. It came about from a discussion in the fanfic writers discord, and I was shocked at how fast it came together. I still read back over this and giggle.

2. Three in the Morning

This fic sits here because it was my first time writing Bobby. He was the one who drew me into this game and he was the one that made me want to write fanfic (thanks Christy…). I'd read a lot of the Bobby fics, and knew how many people liked him, and holy shit, it was so intimidating to write him for the first time. I was so nervous about whether he'd be in character, and whether people would like the setting and the MC, but when I put this one up I seriously couldn’t have been prouder of it. There are things I would change about it now, but ultimately I still absolutely love it.

1. The Only Two Things

I KNOW!!!! It really should be TTIS because 1) it was my first fic, 2) beloved bruno, and 3) it’s by far my most popular. But this fic has my heart.

This is the story that made me feel like a writer. Not just of fanfic, but an honest to god writer. I wrote this for ME. The story, the world, the characters are all straight out of my dumb little head. There’s the tiniest sprinkle of love island stuff in there, like Kerry the dog and Kelly, but this one is my true baby. Ciaran’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but he’s ultimately so special to me that I just can’t stop myself from going back to this one. I must’ve re-read it twenty times by now.

be my mistake

i wrote a lot of fic when i was young (like, really young and didn't really have a clue what i was doing) and this was my first venture back into fic-writing as an adult. it's a self-insert story in the criminal minds fandom, and although it's not finished yet, it makes me proud because it showed me how much i was capable of writing. (also it's a hotch x reader x spencer love triangle and soooo messy, i love it)

all too well

this is another WIP, self-insert, criminal minds fic. i was in my taylor swift era (still am) and really was heavily inspired by the 10 minute version of "all too well" and its music video/short film counterpart. this is a story that shows a lot of toxicity and a pretty heavy power imbalance and just how easy it is to get swept up into a relationship, and the impact that that can have on you. excited to continue this one!

that's the thing about illicit affairs

i literally posted this one last night LOL but it's for sure one of my favorites. it's my first venture into enemies to lovers and i had so much fun writing it that i imagine i'll end up doing more (especially if suresh is involved). i just love a workplace rivalry and this idea of two people who are always competing against each other kind of stripping their egos away for a brief moment.

this is one that i haven't written a lot of but i'm beyond excited about it. it's a bobby x mc fic and is quite angsty (if the title wasn't enough of a hint) but i love when characters who are so happy-go-lucky are faced with things that are really hard, for lack of a better term.

i didn't have it in myself to go with grace

this is the suresh cheating fic i wrote when the season first released. i was really eager to explore the motives behind what he did (before those came to light in game) and i originally had him actually cheat before i decided to take the misunderstanding route. this was my second litg one-shot and i'm really grateful for it because it's introduced me to so many amazing people already <3

Hi love, I’ve answered a similar ask some time ago, so I’m just going to link it here 🫶🏼

I haven’t read too many of them so I can’t tell you the exact reasons as to why I liked them but speaking generally, I can say that I like fics that surprise me and really capture me. And I know that all of the writers linked in that post are really talented writers who will make you feel things.

So if you want to know more, you can open the fic on ao3 and read the tags as well as some of the comments on the first chapters to get you in the mood. And then just start reading- if you’re not hooked, move on to the next one. I’m sure you’ll find one you’ll really like 🥰

hmm. favourite author. i guess naomi novik, because i still think Uprooted is my favourite book, and her style really suits me. terry pratchett!! i love The Truth. and hands down one of my favourite authors is jane austen,,,, and i know what y'all think but i would say,,,, read Mansfield Park.

but fr if y'all like the first season of the webtoon Odd Girl Out is amazing,,,, all of them are my favourite characters. this isn't technically a book but you can count it as a comic.

i do think tho that i have less overwhelming feelings of favourite!!! for book characters. thats more for TV ones. you get so much time in the heads of book characters that it is a little harder to have favourites as much as just books you really like, yk??

all that being said, im in love with nina zenik inej ghafa and kaz brekker, read the six of crows duology (i also love nikolai lantsov but the trilogy he is in isn't as fun).

86. a book with an insane plot twist

by far the book i could predict the least was The Sword of Kaigen. i don't know if it exactly has a plot twist but it keeps taking you somewhere, and you think you know where the story is going but then it leads you elsewhere. beautiful writing. really REALLY liked some of the plot twists in The Queen of Attolia, there were some shockers there. i don't know if this counts, but Ghachar Ghochar by Vivek Shanbagh had the most interesting ending.

i know this is dated but i really think Murder on the Orient Express ended up being wildly cool in the end.

and also. FUCKING The Wicked King. i am never going to forgive holly black for ending there and i DO NOT KNOW how the fans survived when the last book wasn't out.

92. a book about a redeemable villain

um i. oh gosh i haven't read a really good one in a while,,, i guess Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik, The Cruel Prince. i really haven't read like. a GOOD villain story where it is about redemption. if anyone has recs!!!

105. your favourite crime novel

fuck. probably a christie?? i really did like Murder on the Orient Express.

oh fuck yea. Dick Francis' work is really good and wild.

uh,,, okay i'm thinking. i think i don't read a lot of mental health related stuff ngl.

seamus heaney and philip larkin are great poets to check out, though they're not contemporary. a more recent poet i really like is carol ann duffy (particularly her collection 'rapture'). also: li-young lee, anne carson (though her stuff can be a hit or miss imo), ocean vuong. a poet who is somewhat similar to siken is jericho brown, whose stuff is pretty cool!

i can list more if you'd like, though i don't want to overwhelm you with too much! please don't hesitate to let me know if you'd like others though. :)
