gwynriel week day 3: confessions

I think one of the biggest similarities between gwyn and azriel is that a lot of their trauma comes from loss of innocence and autonomy. There is something that enacts such a sense of loneliness in their respective abuses, that despite each of them having found friends and family, the people around them are just unable to understand that degree of self hatred, fear, and isolation. and I believe that this song should be how sjm writes them confessing to each other that they are still recovering but there is something inevitable and unyielding and healing about the way in which they need each other. Not to be a final piece to fix a broken heart but a tool to remold it into something new. Something eternal.
