The last fill from August worked its way through the queue this evening, so it's time for another one of these things.

We got 57 fantastic fills this month, created by 26 brilliant participants. Whilst I don't tend to comment on the ratings split, it is something I have a breakdown of each month, so I can safely say the 34 explicit rated fics are way, way more than any other month - thank you to all the wonderful kinkalot cross-posters, and to the mods that permit it!

In terms of format, we have 45 fics and 7 artworks. We also got one gif, a moodboard, a podfic, and then two glorious overachievers who used multiple formats for a fill (one gif + playlist, the other fic + moodboard).

How about ships? Well, Merlin/Arthur was predictably top again with 33, and then a pretty whopping gap until we get to gen in second with five fills. After that, we're looking at Merlin/Gwaine and Gwen/Morgana with three each, followed by Gwaine/Percival, Gwen/Lancelot and Merlin/Arthur/Gwen at two each. Finally, there's a fun handful of one-off ships (once again, kinkalot gets much of the credit here!) - Merlin/Knights, Arthur/Gwen, Gwen/Vivian, Elena/Morgana/Vivian, Arthur/Anonymous, Merlin/Arthur/Gwaine and Merlin/Arthur/Lancelot.

im not even kidding you guys, the best thing for Crowley after all this is just for him to be a girl Dad. Go find himself the weirdest most unhinged least likely up for adoption daughter to dump all his love onto. One who thinks snakes are awesome and who screeches happily when Crowley drives too fast and who thinks her Dad's the absolute coolest person on or off earth. She'll constantly be stealing his sunglasses or demanding her own pair so they match. No doubt she's obsessed with fungus and she probably draws the most fucked up stuff that Crowley then hangs around the flat, and she'll yell at the plants too with her hands on her hips. On nights after goofy dinners, Crowley will hoist her up on his shoulders and help her accurately place the glow-in-the-dark stars on her ceiling and softly answer every question she ever has. And it won't even phase her when sometimes her Dad is her Mom or her Parent for a while or vice versa. And she'll be ready to full on throw hands with anyone who gives her Dad sad-face. She probably ends up biting Aziraphale when he eventually staggers back into the picture, and the Angel will have to contend with the fury of a real hellion for a while before she trusts him enough to let him anywhere near Crowley. Also i think her name should be Hanna.

Idk. I happily write, but when it comes to sharing what I've wrote, sometimes it just....takes all the fun out of it. Fills me with dread, zaps motivation, regardless of how kind any comments are - like it's not an issue with reader response at all, it's just smth that's broken in my head.

3) puen holding onto talay's wrist during the greyllery confession in ep 8. well okay im not sure if this can count as a hand touch but the idea of puen having to ground himself like that because he can't believe talay actually said he likes him is. A LOT.

4) the pinky promises in episode 3 and episode 11. once again im not sure if it counts but they're incredibly important for their journey so i had to include them.

i also find it interesting that at the beginning of episode 3, when they make a deal to live the best life they can in the alternate universe (which puen ends up misinterpreting), they actually shake hands but then at the end they switch to a pinky promise (more intimate and personal).
