Click on my link in bio for more info! ••• Here are some fun facts about wolves: •Wolves are the largest members of the Canidae family. •Males average 5 to 6.5 feet in length from nose to tip of tail. •Females average 4.5 to 6 feet. •Most wolves stand at 26 to 32 inches (shoulder). •Females weight 60-80 pounds. •Males weight 70-110 pounds. •A wolf footprint will measure 4” wide by 5” long •Wolves can live up to 13 yrs in the wild. •Wolves have 42 teeth. •They have four toes with claws in an oval shape. They run on their toes, not their pads. •Wolves mate for life. •A litter of wolves is usually 4-6 pups. •Pups are born deaf and blind with bright blue eyes. •A pack of wolves can range from 2 to over 30 wolves. Hit that FOLLOW button if you love these rose tattoos! ••• I rarely post my floral tattoos, as they are not as popular of request of me in comparison to my animal tattoo designs. ••• The gray and pink roses are a progression piece, while the pink and yellow roses is a completely finished design. ••• I had a VERY hard time bringing myself to tattoo roses in the beginning of my tattoo career. Even now, 15 years later, they still bring a HUGE challenge for me, but a challenge I proudly accept with flattery and honor 🙏 ••• Both of these rose tattoos have a lot of symbolism for my clients that adorn them upon their skin canvases… And one of my most favorite parts about being a tattoo artist, are the STORIES I get to hear from my clients. Or Color??? ••• Hell, tell me WHY you have a preference because I LOVE learning more about my followers! ••• I wanted to share a random collection of my black and gray (or B & G) tattoos! ••• Some are gray shade (thinned down black ink with the clients skin being the negative space) and some are gray pigment (full saturation with the full value spectrum of grey opaques pigments). ••• Small background about me and black and gray artwork… I have been a pencil/graphite artists since I was a child. Only doing a handful of color mediums in jr high & high school. ••• It wasn’t until my 5th year tattooing that I really decided to dive deep into teaching myself color in tattooing. ••• The color wheel has always been a primary language of mine, so learning how to work with color in harmony was a lot of trial and error, and it’s now a style I love offering just as much as I do my black and gray! ••• Thank you for reading my post, don’t forget to vote for YOUR favorite! Tattoo 101: Ink Migration. ••• What causes ink migration you ask? Black ink is derived from tiny carbon molecules that slowing migrate below the dermal layers as the tattoo ages, causing a “cloudy” appearance around black lines. ••• No, this is not preventable. However, the LARGER the script/lettering, the less noticeable the ink migration will be. ••••• Teeny-tiny script tattoos seem to fade “fast” due to the migration being much more evident due to the smaller sizing of the lettering. ••• I learned the science of ink migration during a college course I completed in 2019, and I educate ALL of my clients of ink migration, what it is, how it happens, and ways to avoid it becoming an issue in the long run of the life of the tattoo. ••••••• Yes I am HUGE on education in my profession, and that is why I require new clients to have a professionally conducted consultation prior to moving forward with their tattoo design, deposit, or scheduling. ••• I am very passionate about my profession, and educating my client of the “how” and “why” when it comes to tattooing is something I pride myself on, as I truly care about the livelihood, longevity and vibrancy of ALL of my clients tattoos. 🙏 -Love Hay’ •• ***NOT MY TATTOO IMAGE, I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO THIS IMAGE. “Humanity does not deserve dogs”… ••• What ever we did in on this 🌍that made us worthy of a dog’s truly unconditional love, I will never know… ••• And I will remain forever grateful for the k9s I’ve been so blessed to own in my lifetime. ••• It is my love for my own dogs that brings so much passion in my love of drawing and tattooing dogs for my clients. ••• I was just explaining to my client during her consul last week, that when I do a portrait of a dog (or any of my client’s believes pets), I mentally and emotionally switch places with them… • How would I want my OWN dog tattoo to look? How would I FEEL seeing my heart dog forever on my skin canvas? • I want to give my clients the same experience in their dog tattoo experience as I would seek out for myself. • I’m not the best artist in the World. I don’t have a wall lined with awards from countless tattoo conventions or my name and face in all the major publications and reality tv series that many of my colleagues have achieved (and I’m so damn proud of them!)… Because my goal when I came into the tattooing industry is the same goal I have today: I want my clients to FEEL something when they see the tattoos I do for them. Progression piece: I LOVE being able to bring this cherry blossom tattoo back to life!
