Today's NPC is the demolitionist! In dwarven culture, roles are very rigid. A dwarf is named according to the fortune teller's read of their future, and they then live this role to the best of their ability. When Urist was born, the fortune teller foresaw that his main role would be to die so that everyone else in his home fortress would live. As such, there was little concern about what he should actually be doing, and he was dubbed "McSacrifice".

Urist, unbound by dwarf society's strict roles, found himself a bit of a pariah, and like any well adjusted young lad, spent his lonesome time learning to build bombs and listening to heavy metal cd's. He figured he might as well enjoy himself if he was destined to die.

But the thing is, when the prophesied calamity came... Urist had actually left the fort to go visit his uncle two forts over. The entire fortress was destroyed by clowns (Not a euphemism. Clowns are one of dwarfkinds greatest fears.) and Urist found himself... free completely. The event that was scheduled to kill him had come and gone.

So, he decided to hit the road and begin wandering the universe, now full of zeal to pursue his passion of bombmaking. Now, the name McSacrifice didn't communicate doom... it communicated that he was an edgy dork.

On board the Hyperlight Alice, this edge helps him fit right in, particularly with his fierce rival/best friend and fellow teenage edgelord Andre. While the pair spend all their time competing and trash talking, they clearly like each other a lot, even when they're loudly debating what flavor of breakcore is better at 3 in the morning.

Does yall give your npcs names? I personally name my npcs after my mobile play-through names since i got attached and it was my first platform

Guide: Brett ( I have the BIGGEST soft spot for any guide with this name and i actually try to get a guide with this name when i enter hardmode flkddflk)

Painter: i head-canon my painter to be called Stefano (BUT i also really like carlo too since he was my first painter on pc, also it matches with the dye traders name a lil)

Dye Trader: Kamni

Stylist: Roxanne

Party girl: Candy

Angler: Peter (ik its not a terraria name, but the angler always gave me APH sealand vibes so i named my angler after him)

i've been playing terraria since about 2013, and in all that time, in all the myriad of worlds and replays and challenge runs i've done, i have two very important pieces of advice you should follow, no matter how you play:

unless you want barebones prison style housing, always build npc houses/rooms slightly larger than you think you need to, to have space for trying new decoration ideas

always make the arms dealer and demolitionist live in the same house together in really close quarters because they hate each other and it's hilarious

got a bunch of npcs (so far we gave guide, merchant, demolitionist, nurse, dye trader and zoologist)

i made the zoologist a house in one of the living trees but i think im gonna move her back because 1. thats right next to my boss arena 2. it doesnt feel safe tbh

got a bunch of gems which is great if i can find some chains to.make a.sawmill to make a look to make some robes i just realzied. you craft chains. um im.dumb

been doing a lot.of mining tbh

i should make a grappling hook soon

uhhh idm what else. i tried to start a mushroom biome tont the truffle but I ONLY GOT A SINGULAR MUSROOM SEED :(

Above ground!!! The only below ground thing I've built so far is a place for the tavernkeep, demolitionist, and clothier (though I eventually made a graveyard and moved him into a mausoleum there hehe)

according to the Terraria wikipedia, the Tavernkeep only loves one thing: the Demolitionist. also, according to the wikipedia, the Demolitionist only loves one thing: the Tavernkeep. the wikipedia refers to both of them with he/him pronouns.

it could be a purely business relationship, I won't rule out that possibility, but they're gay
