what is your most favourite ruthari headcanon, if you have one?

After Runaan is freed from the coin and has healed enough, he and Ethari renew their wedding vows. Everyone cries that day, Bait and Callum included. Rayla is both of their best mans. Stella is the flower girl. Callum and Runaan have Bonding Time when Runaan gets nervous and Callum hypes him up. Lain and Tiadrin calm Ethari down when he gets nervous and starts rambling. Ethari has a special surprise piece of jewelry he made Runaan. Runaan is awestruck at the dragon queen and prince themselves showing up, and at many of the other changes because he's been gone for two plus years. There are many, many Feelings, but all feelings and change are good.

Well, TWU sys is an acronym for "The Wine Uncles system", it's the personalized name that my system choose for us a long time ago :3

Top five comfort books. Please & thank you.

I am not sure I find comfort in a lot of books because my interests often clash with the word comfort. 😂 But I can give you a list of books I find solace in through their beautiful prose or carthasis of seeing something I can relate to. 1. The Raven Boys Series (especially Dream Thief) I adore the ground Maggie Stiefvater walks on and this series the most. I can get lost in these characters and her wonderful writing every day.

2. A Little Life Listen.............I can't explain or justify it. I just return to this book over and over and over 3. The Magic Fish If comics count this is one of my favorite. It's about heritage and fairy tales and identity and family and just stunning. I wrote an essay about it haha

4. Too Much and Not the Mood I want to reread this essay collection but it just captured starting adulthood in such beautiful words 5. Antropocene Reviewed I recommended it before and I won't tire of recommending it and the podcast til I die.

I'm not 100% sure yet! I still haven't really found a regular upload schedule/groove with that one as I had with 'in my head'. I just started writing part 7 however. If all goes well, maybe sometime towards the end of the week. If not, in a week or 2 :)

Established Relationship (what can i say, it's great it's peace, it's love (usually))

22. Are there certain types of writing you won’t do? (style, pov, genre, tropes, etc)

of course. there are some tropes i won't ever write because i don't feel comfortable to do (some smut things, MCD, rape/non consensual stuff, etc.) or sth i don't know how to write and feel like i won't do it justice. and for sure there are even characters i won't write. great example is many characters in Marvel.

27. What is your most and least favorite part of writing?

writing and writing lmao. no but fr i always get excited to write and do exactly that. ideas are flowing and everything is amazing. but then there's writing when i dread opening the docs with wips because it's just not working. also i like creating notes for my future stories and visualising characters and events. i don't like coming up with titles.

72. What order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else?

Depends. With some stories it's front to back and with some i have too many ideas and i just need to put them down, so i start with particular favourite scene(s).

omg this is so kind, thank you so much ❣️i’m more than happy to answer those questions and talk a little bit about writing trans masc steve !! again, i so appreciate your support :)

X: A character you enjoy making suffer.

if you’ve read my writing, you likely have a good idea of who it is lol. but for anyone who hasn’t, it’s 100000% steve harrington.

i adore him, he is my angel, he is the loml, he is everything to me, and yet, giving him the whumpiest/most tragic/tear-jerking plot lines brings me deep satisfaction as a writer (but only if it ends in a happy ending for him which i always ensure bc i refuse to curse him with permanent suffering—not on my watch haha).

Y: A character you want to protect.

strangely, also steve harrington.

i just want to wrap him up tight, make him some tea, and put him on some anxiety meds (likely bc i project onto his character like no other). however, i also want to protect eddie, the party, robin, nance, and the rest of the crew. i don’t want any of them to hurt !

Z: Major character death—do you ever write/read it ? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate ?

i feel like i can handle a lot, as a reader. i will gladly read the angstiest/saddest/occasionally even dead dove steddie fics. i will blink past gore and tragedy and devastating back story. BUT i draw the line at major character death/angst no happy ending. my tender little heart needs the characters to end up okay. unless it’s major character death after they’ve lived a long, very satisfying life. then, okay i can probably handle it hahaha. and as a writer, i’m no different ! i have yet to venture into killing off a major character bc it would break my heart to do so (though i’d never say never). and as far as one i could never tolerate, probably steve !

as for trans masc steve and how i began writing him—i’ve always really liked the idea of a steve who’s already pretty established in his queer identity/knows what he wants by the time he and eddie collide. as much as i love fics that include eddie being steve’s bi/gay-awakening (and have written them, myself), i find it even more interesting (as a writer) to explore steve as a queer/trans masc character who can deeply connect with eddie on the experience of navigating queer identity in such a closed-minded small-town. a steve who has already been navigating those waters by himself for quite some time and finally gets to take comfort in being vulnerable/open with eddie about his lived experiences just makes my heart very happy. i also think it adds a certain depth to their relationship and i imagine it obviously would’ve been quite challenging to find that sense of community in a place like hawkins.

4. What do you wear when you have to dress nicely? I definitely am a dress girlie, so I'd say a long dress, probably blue to bring out my eyes, light shoes with only a little heel because I CAN'T, white purse? (boring, I know, but listen if it works it works)

5. How do you like your eggs? Ohhh alllll ways. But what beats either a soft boiled egg in ramen or perfectly scrambled eggs with parmesan?

6. What do you use to keep your place when you’re reading a book? Usually a polaroid of me and my friends, one of the 1989 polaroids or whatever I have at hand. I'm pretty good at remembering where I am but lately I appreciate bookmarks even more because...this girl only reads fanfiction and forgets published work exists. Ask awayyy ✨

👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

I won't lie, the only thing I have coming up rn is BRR. I really wanna finish that before writing anything else. After that, there are certainly a few wips I could choose from (zombie au, regency au, forced marriage au, continuing my good behavior au) but idk what I'll go with first. Too many ideas, too little time 😭

The only thing I do know is that I'll be doing a "strangers forced to stay in the same villa together on vacation" au for Christmas because I have to hold up my end of the bargain with @chassnachadic 😂

I came back to fandom after a while saying all confidently I wasn’t that into it, then I accidentally read one fic and I was like oh no 🤡

I’ve always loved the grumpy/sunshine dynamic and morally gray assholes, it works so well for me. Even more so when James and Sirius’ relationship (soulmates imho) and the messy dynamics of the Black brothers are explored. The portrayal of those both really makes or breaks it for me.
