guys. I kinda wish adrien had been akumatized in season 5 in the short periods he wore an alliance (or ephemeral type shit where Gabriel fuckin breaks him solely to akumatize him) and had been given the essence of the miraculous of the dragon. THE MIRACULOUS OF THE DRAGON. THE MIRACULOUS OF PERFECTION. AKUMATIZED ADRIEN WITH THE MIRACULOUS OF PERFECTION. and it’s not from Maribug! if it had been the ACTUAL miraculous from the actual guardian, it ties back to her, it almost functions as a connection between them two. but when it’s only the essence it leads back to Gabriel! It’s another way his father is holding him under his thumb, pulling all the strings of his life and just having complete control over Adrien. so yeah i need dragon!akumadrien content and i need it now

i think ppl can and should project onto fictional characters. that's kind of what they're for a lot of the time. even if in the story they dont have the exact same experiences the audience can still find similarities with them and it's empowering to headcanon that, because of these similarities, the character has a similar identity to you. a lot of writers purposely give their characters experiences similar to marginalized groups to make those groups feel seen.
that being said, if you project your own experiences onto your blorbos you HAVE to be able to tell when the story is purposely making the character a metaphor for your experiences and when the story is. not doing that. just because you personally relate to a character doesn't mean the character literally is your marginalized identity. and it definitely doesn't mean that the writers hate your marginalized identity, specifically, if they don't do what you want them to do with that character.

something we have discussed is how dennis was the only one who could understand mac and that's great but can we also discuss how it must feel for mac that no one can understand him
this seems to be accentuated by how off he keeps being about things (offering of war/dennis being shot being "awesome"/being unable to read subtext both with dennis ["figure of speech"] and donald) and how much he's looking for a sense of meaning that he used to find in his identity until s15 made him realize how pointless it was (in a way that reminds me of his crisis in goes to hell 2...), but legacy, history, money and prizes are worth nothing if your heart is not in it.
and in a way I think dennis is coming to the same conclusion which is why he's the only one who can understand mac.
dennis "you're just being honest about how you feel" reynolds, so concerned with authenticity and upset by the perceived lies when it's just his own denial making it that way. that's building the biggest lie of all.
if we're looking for the Point, then the point is to have fun and embrace feelings. Big Mo already showed this.
it's interesting to me how it seems that mac and dennis are working off of each other in the way sunny works as a whole. because if mac is the structure and the text, and dennis is the subtext and the jokes (it's how he's trying to communicate in inflates but it's also the whole reason he comes with mac in madbu), they kinda NEED to be working together for the show to work... they need to find their harmonies, they can't just one or the other lead, they gotta have each other's back.
and also like, a small coda. this season deals so much with nostalgia vs how the past really was, there's so many flashbacks.
becoming aware of denial and reality can feel really upsetting but ultimately it's a positive development.
if "the hair is a lie" chopping off the head isn't the answer, that was the old way of doing things (in times of war... murder, betrayal, beheadings... "we figured out what works a long time ago"), but now we're looking for peace. basically, death isn't the answer. building your legacy doesn't have to be like pulling teeth. "this doesn't have to be a scam"
it's a good thing if we start seeing things for what they actually are, because it means less denial.

Seeing a lot of like stop calling male character x female character yuri posts today and i love to give my opinion on everything so while i completely understand why and i really do agree with people who are like stop doing that im also like....its okay when butches do it because geniunely we have like...no butches in media and even the female characters who are somewhat butch or masculine often have a lot of scenes where they present more feminine and youre not gonna see that with a masculine male character unless its for a transmisogynist joke which also fucking sucks... but like idk thats why its just easier for me to be like oh idk uhhhh senshi dungeon meshi is a butch lesbian rather than marcille you know? im not saying its good or even that you cant still disagree with me like thats completely fair i get it honestly im just saying its different than what other people are doing you know? To me at least

(( Oh shit, I should probably explain Miranda's social media presence.
In short: not much! Miranda only has the bare essentials, which is an account on the most popular sites with her name attached to it. Only one really sees use, the others are all just saving her name, and all of her accounts are under the username "MirandaVanderbilt". None of them are used like proper social media accounts either, only sharing pictures of her at events she's done with her fellow rich people, usually with them in the picture. She doesn't follow anyone and she doesn't like anything, just using it as another aspect of PR. She's not lacking for followers, but she doesn't have many, and those she does have are usually doing so for the sake of keeping up with other celebrities. A few events are done at her castle, but pictures are very sparse and those that do exist are very selective in what she shows, usually only revealing that she's, indeed, richer than god.
While Miranda's not unknown, she's not the most famous either, and prefers it this way. People might know her name, but they wouldn't know much about her other than she exists, and that she gets into a lot of red-carpet and invite-only events that implies she runs in the highest social circles.
While her friends could absolutely pester her into following them and checking out their own accounts, she doesn't frequent social media and doesn't keep up with it. It really is solely so that people can keep up with her public persona and nothing else. She doesn't even have a personal side account, she just doesn't care all that much about it.
