Grace Babes, I’ve got a blurb for you
———
Kicking off her shoes as she entered the house, a sigh of relief left Y/N’s lips at the feeling of the cool wood floor under her feet before she noticed how quite the house was.
“Rhett?” She called out, waiting a few minute for the response that never came, she furrowed her brows as a muffled sound came from up the staircase.
Making her way up the stairs she slowly realized the muffled noise was the sound of her record player as ‘One Summer Night’ by The Danleers drifted thought the air. Reaching the top of the stairs, Y/N tiptoed her way to the bedroom as the music grew louder. When she entered the bedroom she saw how the bathroom door was cracked open and the light that came from the door was dim.
As quietly as she could, Y/N pushed open the door and leaned against the frame when she was met with the sight of Rhett lounged back into their claw-foot bathtub, a rag thrown over his eyes and a stemless wineglass of what she could only assume to be Rosé in his hand as sudsy pomelo scented bunked swirled around his naked torso.
“I thought you didn’t drink wine?” Y/N called out after a few minutes causing Rhett to jump from his trance like state as the rag fell into the water.
Looking between Y/N and the wineglass his mouth opened and closed like I fish before he found his words “listen… When you get stuck with my Ma after book club, you learn to appreciate things” he hummed.
Shaking her head with a smile Y/N motioned to the tub “got room for one more?”
He smirked setting the wineglass in the windowsill next to the tub “for you Darlin’? There’s always room”
how did I miss this???!! Tumblr is setting me up for failure, BUT ANYWHOOO
Rhett's blue eyes would watch her the whole time as she strips down to nothing in front of him. He originally had every intention of just relaxing with her in the bath, but the second he sees her naked, and the tattoo of his name on her hip, his plan of relaxation is thrown out the window.
"C'mere, sweetheart," Rhett grumbles and hold's his hand out for her to take. She gently steps into the warm bath and situates herself between his legs. She sighs as his arms drape themselves over her and he places a kiss on her shoulder.
"This is nice," Y/N says and Rhett hums, running his hands up and down her legs, "We should do this more often."
"Mhm," He says again as his hands find her thighs. She sighs as he spreads them, and she gently grabs his chin and pulling him down for a kiss. Rhett's hand between her thighs found her clit with ease, starting to draw slow deliberate circles, his other hand skims up her body, finding her breast, groping it softly.
"Rhett," She moans out.
"What do you want? Use your words," He says and moves his lips to her jaw.
"Fuck me, please."
"Nah, nah," Rhett asks and shakes his head, "I'm gonna make love to ya."

On this date in music history…now, of course, the years vary…GREATLY…but here’s what went down…
October 3rd
2011 - Queen
According to new scientific research, Queen's 'We Are The Champions' was found to be the catchiest song ever written. Musicologist Dr Alisun Pawley from the University of London, England, conducted research into what makes a song memorable and compiled a list of the ten "catchiest" songs of all time. During the research, they discovered that sing-along songs contained four key elements: long and detailed musical phrases, multiple pitch changes in a song's 'hook', male vocalists, and higher male voices making a noticeable vocal effort. Y.M.C.A. by the Village People, Sum 41's Fat Lip, and Europe's The Final Countdown were also in the list.
2002 - Iron Butterfly
Original guitarist, vocalist from American psychedelic rock band Iron Butterfly Darryl DeLoach died of liver cancer at the age of 56.
2000 - John Lennon
John Lennon's assassin Mark Chapman was denied parole after serving 20 years in prison. Chapman was interviewed for 50 minutes by parole board members who concluded that releasing Chapman would 'deprecate the seriousness of the crime.'
2000 - Benjamin Orr

All Promises Are Fictitious (Aired April 17, 1940)
INTRO: Bob Plays The Danleers "One Summer Night" (1958) All Promises Are Fictitious (Aired April 17, 1940) During a typical 23-minute episode of the Burns and Allen show, the vast majority of the dialogue and speaking parts were written for Allen, who was credited with having the genius to deliver her lengthy diatribes in a fashion that made it look as though she was making her arguments up on the spot. (One running gag on the TV show was the existence of a closet full of hats belonging to various visitors to the Burns household, where the guests would slip out the door unnoticed, leaving their hats behind, rather than face another round with Gracie.) A continuing joke on the show was that George would say, "Say good night, Gracie," and Gracie would say, "Good night Gracie!" Ralph Pape used the catchphrase for the title of his play, Say Goodnight, Gracie, produced by Steppenwolf in 1983, and the phrase lives on as a title of other books and stage productions. THIS EPISODE: April 17, 1940. "All Promises Are Fictitious" - CBS network. Sponsored by: Hinds Honey and Almond Cream. At the Omaha convention of Gracie's Suprise Party, the men will be expected to grow beards and dress as if it were 1870. Gracie rehearses the speech she will be making in Dallas. She sings, "When The Sweet Potato Piper Plays." George Burns, Gracie Allen, Frank Parker, Ray Noble and His Orchestra, Truman Bradley (announcer), Mary Kelley (as "Bubbles"). 29:15. Episode Notes From The Radio Gold Index.
