I’m thinking of deleting my sign-up for the Just Married Exchange; the deadline for sign-ups is tomorrow, and right now I would probably end up as a pinch hit. Plus I’m not super excited about what I might be matched up with as an assignment, which isn’t much at the moment. I guess I just don’t share a lot of fandoms/preferences with the folks who signed up for this one. But I did sort of inspire myself with the freeform tags for one of my requests, so I saved those to a word document for later, and they might turn into a Chrono Trigger longfic one day! :)

I will definitely sign-up for Press Start when it opens, though, and that can be my summer exchange! Plus, with the upcoming Wheel of Time Big-Bang being something I also want to participate in, I don’t want to have too much on my plate.

Transitioning to writing fics for RWBY in addition to the Tales of Arcadia, honestly, has been really interesting.  Just, my relationship to the canon material for both is massively different, so that’s reflected in the feel that goes along with writing for them.

Like, I’ve never been particularly inspired by the canon ships of ToA.  Thus I tend to transform and alter things as I see fit.  The ToA canon is more akin to a sand box I play in and built off of.  Almost nothing I do is canon-compliant, the ships I ship will never be canon.  I’ve accepted becoming satisfied with that.

In comparison, I do enjoy the popular pairings of RWBY, so I’m more inclined to stay aligned to canon.  I’m still going to transform things tho and definitely write for other ships, but it’s probable that some of the things I’ll write will be canon compliant.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

He’s DC’s best boy. People are overhyping Batman so much and making everything revert around him, while Clark is just... so much more relatable, or relevant? Sure, superpowered alien, but people gotta get over that and see the immigrant child who came to a new place to be raced in a foreign culture and trying to fit in. He could be so incredibly relevant in recent years, if people allowed him to be, but all Comic Book Nerd Bois wanna see is strong man punching much and goodness, Clark deserves better than that, he could be so much more than that.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

Give me SuperWonder. Please. Just. Please. I wish that a major adaptation would go off-main-script and just... just give them to me. (The ridiculous woes of being a rarepair shipper in a multiverse where very tiny parts of said multiverse actually do give you that ship in canon... but the majority don’t...)

Seriously there's first aid/vortex (i so wanna call it tex/aid but i worry folks wont know what im referring to) (and really tex/aid is actually pretty well iff in terms of content, it actually yas several fanarts and several goooood fics and even at least two very long fics but still i want more texaid) and there's Blades/Slingshot and well ok tbh I'm not superduberuber invested in blurrswin but why not Also brawl/groove and air raid/sideswipe seem kinda cool?
