With the fact that Chase was (Probably) the youngest of Dashi's team way back when, Wuya's attraction to him has some "Mrs. Robinson" vibes.

Oh, like cougar vibes?

I don't think she paid Chase any mind whatsover back when Dashi's trio was still together, when Chase was a young adult.

Before the Year of the Green Monkey, Wuya is thoroughly unimpressed by Chase Young's reputation, which is probably a holdover of how he was very beneath her notice back in the days when he was on the Xiaolin side.

Last she saw of him, he was still in Dashi's shadow, and probably Guan's, too.

That said, she's still implied to be the most ancient character on the show, and the way she says it when she first starts to actually admire this evil version of him definitely shows that she sees cougar vibes to it.

Ah, such command, such authority. Why, if I was 500 years younger... and had a body.

That line is Wuya intentionally trying to give off cougar vibes.

She's expressing some degree of genuine interest, but there are layers to that specific comment.

Part of the comment is just a flirtatious joke, part of it is gauging his reaction because she has used honeypot tactics before and she's trying to get a read on how his personality's changed, and part of it might be meant as a stealth insult because despite being an immortal warlord, Wuya still looks down on Chase as someone who's at least 500 years below her level of evil/skill.

They're both centuries old now after all, and Wuya was trapped in a box not experiencing anything for the past 1500 years.

It's fascinating, because from Wuya's perspective, Chase is still just some young immortal and a human who's centuries from her, but Chase more-or-less sees them on equal footing in that regard.

How do you think Dashi and Guan and Chase used to wear their hair before coming to the temple?

I usually try to keep these headcanons historically accurate but it’s pretty difficult to dig up “children’s hair styles in the Northern Wei dynasty”

So just going on a more vague general answer (with a note that I think all of them entered the temple before reaching adulthood and so they never reached an age outside of the temple where cutting their hair was considered rude)

I think Dashi’s kid-hairstyle was just a shaved head with bangs at the front and that he never really did grow his hair all that much, preferring to keep it cut short or shaved even after he grew out of toddler hair-fashion. So he was pretty happy to keep his head completely shaved when he got to the temple. Hair was really just too much work!

Guan had a similar style to what we see in the show where his family kept the sides shaved and the rest of his hair in a small braid on the top of his hair. I do think that Guan was the oldest of the trio to enter the temple (as in, arrived at an older age then the rest. Out of the group Dashi is older though) so he did have quite a few years where he had more ‘adult’ styles which mostly involved a tight bun on the top of his head, however his styling of his hair was completely dictated by his family so he really didn’t get much of a say in it at all. (I’m sure his siblings teased him mercilessly when he showed back up the first time with a queue because it is so reminiscent of his childhood hair style.)

As for Chase, I always imagined him having a double-bun hairstyle when he arrived and, since he was the youngest to enter the temple out of the three and was still in that kid-hairstyle when he arrived.

And, uh, reference photos I guess. I sadly couldn’t find a reference with all three styles in it though but here are what I was imagining for Dashi and Guan as kids. Dashi’s style would be the kid in red, guan’s is the one in blue

Anyways hi I ship Kwazii and Peso together

I imagine they kind of try to keep their relationship a secret but fail miserably and everyone else just kinda watches over them since they’re the youngest two of the group

Here they’re sleeping together on the beanbags and the others have found them and come to take pictures and put a blanket over them aww so cute

I rarely ever finish any of my drawings so don’t expect any polished fanarts from me (though I will try to finish them!)

I also ship Shellington and Dashi (I think I’ve shipped them from before I started shipping kwaso) (I actually don’t know why I do since it was when I was much smaller but I think it’s cause they seem to work together a lot like in the HQ with computers n stuff)

You would think that Kwazii would be guilty of breaking the Prime Directive, but it’s actually Peso and Shellington.

Behind the scenes for the names:

Barnacles: Purely going off vibes. “Bernard” seems like a good first name for him, and my idea was that “Barnacles” is a nickname that comes from his surname.

Kwazii: “Hawkins” is after Jim Hawkins from Treasure Island/Treasure Planet. Both stories involve sailing, adventure, and pirates.

Peso: Literally just looked up a bunch of Spanish surnames and decided “Morales” was the best.

Shellington. Looked up several Scottish surnames, and Holmes fit best. Bonus points because in the books, Shellington actually dresses up as Sherlock Holmes.

Dashi: Her last name comes from the Omura’s whale— one of the featured animals in The Octonauts and the Ring of Fire.

Tweak: “Ida” means “work” or “labor” in several languages. “Lagos” is Greek for rabbit or hare.

Inkling: I don’t know. I couldn’t think of a surname for him. He’s like Guianan. No other name. Just Inkling. That’s it.

The Vegimals: Since they are Shellington’s adopted children, they share his last name.

The Mane 7 Passover headcanon

Disclaimer: Happy Passover before I start non-Jews shouldn’t be celebrating Passover on their own is it’s a close practice. But since Fluttershy is Jewish (in my AU) and she invited her friends to the Seder it’s ok

Fluttershy invited her friends plus their siblings for the second Seder. All of them love sharing their traditions with each other

So who came? Basically the Mane 7 plus the CMC (Fluttershy was ok with Scoots tagging along since the rest of the friend group)

Fluttershy made it clear the rules everyone had to follow. Wear nice clothes, don’t bring any food, Pinkie you can NOT bring any treats, the girls don’t have to learn the four questions but Zephyr wound be bitching about him not being the youngest at the Seder but still having to say it if they don’t, don’t make any rude comments on food being ‘weird’ and ‘gross’,someone needs to drive Pinkie so she won’t bring any food, please think before you speak

Apple Bloom volunteered to say the four questions

The Apples were the first to come over and helped set up. Fluttershy was  surprised that AJ was in a dress

What Rarity’s dress was over the top but it’s Rarity. It was Miss Frizzle dress showing all of the ten plagues

Everyone was shocked that Zephyr not only wore deodorant, but shaved as well

Zephyr looked put together

Fluttershy tried to explain all of the traditions to the guests

Mrs Shy handed out kippot to anyone who wanted to one and gave everyone a Haggadah

Mr Shy lead the Seder and everyone took turns reading for the Haggadah

Sweetie Belle was whispering to Rarity if they could get smoothie bowls (Smoothie bowls are one of Sweeties safe foods btw) and Rarity kept on shushing her

Scootaloo trying to prove her toughest ate a bunch of horseradish

Scootaloo regretted it very much

Apple Jack, Twilight and Sunset helped Mrs Shy and Fluttershy with serving food. There were two types of soups, chicken matzah ball and vegan matzah ball soup.

Fluttershy might have accidentally spilled soup on Zephyr’s lap

Scootaloo made a very inappropriate joke about matzah balls

A few people tried gefilte fish

Apple Bloom liked it, surprisingly because she hates tuna salad

Scootaloo teased Sweetie with it and Sweetie hit the fork out of Scoots hand and the fish went flying

One of Fluttershy’s cats (she has many pets) ate it

After gefilte fish and soup it was time for mains.

Dinner was brisket, roasted potatoes, a few types of kugals, latkes (they are not just for Chanukah) and salad

The only food that Sweetie would eat was the chicken soup so she had a few bowls of it

Sunset really likes maztah she went home with box of it

After dinner the girls went to look for the afikomen

The girls looked everywhere, even in the toilet

Mr Shy gave the girls $5 for finding it

Apple Bloom gave the money back since should couldn’t expect it

Scootaloo offer to take Apple Bloom’s money

Dessert was a bunch of crappy store bought Passover treats. Pinkie asked why she couldn’t bring actually good bake goods

Fluttershy gave up explaining chametz to Pinkie

Mrs Shy completed Apple Bloom and Apple Bloom replied ‘You are Welcome ma’am, Granny thought me to respect all religions since that would what Jesus would do’

A lot of people started laughing, Apple Bloom was super confused. AJ explain that Jews don’t believe in Jesus and that’s why people are laughing

Apple Bloom apologized and help clean up

Fluttershy thanked her friends for coming and how much it matter that her friends respect her religion

I always thought/ headcannoned Peso to be the youngest Octonaut since hes the shortest, but I think Kwazii is. In the Amazon Adventure, Calico Jack tells Kwazii "You were just a wee kitten when I first came here"<-- referrinf to how Calico Jack left when Kwazii was young. He calls Kwazii a " wee" kitten, meaning he was probably 1-4. Also in one of the episodes it mentions that Calico Jack had gone missing for 20 years, which means that Kwazii is definitely 21-24. Peso and shellington are both doctors, meaning that theyre probably 26+, Tweak and Barnacles have both ridden another ship for years ( im guessing it was years bc captain barnacles has the wheel and the anchor so it definitely meant alot to him) so theyre definitely 30+. Dashi seems young but she worked with Ryla, photographing for years, and theres no way you'd bring somebody less than 18 in dangerous caves, which i think makes Dashi 25+. Paanis a hydrologist, which requireds a bachelor (4 years) and theres no way hes new at this, so hes probablt 24+. And there's no need to talk about about Ranger marsh, Calico Jack, Min, Natquick, or Inkling we already know that answer, But theres no way (by this logic at least) that Peso's the youngest.

I like your theories for Chase, Guan, and Dashi's backgrounds! Do you headcanon that they had siblings? Are they each a middle child type, eldest child type, or youngest child type?

Thank you so much!! I'm glad you enjoy my headcanons on the trio.

I think Dashi was an only child. But wasn't overly burdened by responsibilities despite being born into a wealthy family. He left home when he was maybe 12 anyway so not much else to do with home after that. Thankfully for his family he had cousins who were able to step into thr position of heir once he basically renounced it all.

Chase is Technically an eldest child, but not an older brother. His parents had two more children after he was taken to the temple as a Xiaolin Dragon. He never formally met them, only saw them from afar once and was kinda bitter about it. His siblings are only vaguely aware they had an older brother through the village rumor mill because their parents never talked about him.

Guan's parents had several children. Not sure on an exact number but he's on the younger end of the scale of his siblings. Maybe 2 or 3 brothers and the rest are sisters. He occupied a very particular position in the family because he's not the eldest son but he had a particular position of responsibility and respect as a chosen Xiaolin dragon.

Do you think "pesky clown face" is a new insult or has Chase been calling Wuya that since the days of Dashi?

Naah, it's rather new.

Wuya turned into a ghost in mere seconds so I don't believe good!chase would remember each feature of her mask even if he managed to take a glimpse of her new non-human form.

Besides

Chase was standing next to her while Dashi was sealing her. However, mind you, puzzle box magic relocated Wuya in such a way her back faced Chase! All he could see is her back, a magical hand-cloud picking her up from the ground... Maybe when the cloud was dragging her closer to the puzzle box he could've noticed how her red hair turn into a purple ghost goop, but that's all. Guan was in a better position to take a better look at her transformation.

Unless the origins of that insult aren't related to the pattern on her mask and have nothing to do with how similar is that pattern to the clown's makeup. I hc Chase as the youngest of the trio so who knows? Maybe that was spite talking? Wuya is quite attractive so he could discredit her in such a way?? And that behavior, on other hand, was a result of Chase's resentment toward her because she was Dashi's gf of some sort? (lol Chase was jelly Dashi prefers her over him poor chasey) But this is just a what-if scenario on my part. Actually, even if I'm making some sense, this reasoning of mine is futile.

I'm not an expert but I do believe there was no such a word as 'clown' in ancient Chinese. At least back in Dashi's era. The first records of clowns as unusually dressed performers in China predate 1046. So yeah, Chase would learn the meaning of 'clown' 500+ something years later.

I get the impression either

Show creators run out of good insults, so they thought 'hey Jack keeps calling her that why not make other villains refer to her as such too? yeah Chase should call her like that definitely'

Chase heard Jack and Wuya's quarrels while spying on them (for example!!) and came to a realization he should start using that insult because surprisingly it fits her perfectly.

Day 2: Headcanons

Here’s a few random things I headcanon about the crew.

Peso is a Magellanic penguin and from what I can tell from Above and Beyond, I think he’s from Chile.

Also, I headcanon Peso to be the youngest of the crew and a child prodigy in the medical field.

Dashi is the second youngest but definitely one of the most mature on the ship.

Kwazii was born in the middle of the ocean on a ship and travelled the world since he was a wee kit so he doesn’t really claim a specific nationality.

The crew enjoys teasing Tweak with funny memes about Floridians and all the crazy stuff they do.

Less of a headcanon and more fact, but Captain Barnacles 100% sees the whole crew as his children.

Shellington visits Peso a lot due to lab accidents.

Tweak is tired but hardly ever sleeps and just stays up and games until her body just decides to abruptly shut down.

Inkling is loaded with money and funds the Octonauts.

Captain Barnacles

Extremely claustrophobic. Hates any small space that he cannot get out of. If he's in trapped somewhere to long he panics horribly

Worries about the others if he doesn't know exactly where they are. With the amount if times they've all been separated with no real way to find each other he worries that one of them may get lost

Should one of them get hurt Captain Barnacles just. He does what he can but he has a bit of a anxiety attack later because he feels he should've prevented it. He's the Captain after all

He misses his old home. He loves it on the Octopod, but sometimes there's just. Something else that's missing.

Sometimes the pressure of feeling like. Like uhm. Being Captain and being responsible for his crew. It gets to much sometimes. Especially when something goes wrong.

Kwazii

He's very fidgety so being in confined spaces isn't great for him either.

Sometimes he feels ljke. Like he annoys the others with his tales of monsters and just. Just stuff like that

Worries that he's going to lose his crew. His family. He doesn't want to be cast away.

Gets really upset if he thinks someone is reallt mad at him. He tries to fix whatever he did as soon as possible

He does have a mysterious pirate past. Im assuming he didn't stay with his old crew. Maybe due to how he sees the world, especially sea life .

Worries that his stimming might be annoying to a degree

Has some . Mysterious scars. He says he got them in battle with a dangerous sea monster.

Gets dysphoric occasionally. Especially if he's already upset.

Peso

So much anxiety. He gets overwhelmed real easily and panics quickly. This can cause a complete shutdown or a panic attack

I believe he's the youngest on the Octopod. Because of this and a few other reasons he feels like. Like he doesn't really know his place. He's a medic obviously, but he's not as experienced as everyone else is

He worries horribly when someone gets hurt, and overthinks that soemthine might be worse than it is.

If two or more of the crew gets into an argument, the angry type, Peso has to flee to his room and lock the door. He doesn't like his friends fighting, and angry people tend to make his insecurities worse. He'll start to think its all his fault and lock himself in a loop

When he has a meltdown its . Hard to pull him out of it. He tends to fixate on just. Every thing wrong.

Peso just. Really doesn't want to let anyone down.

He misses his family. He loves his found family! But like Barnacles, he does miss his other one

Dashi

Dashi doesn't have break downs easily ,but when she does it's really rough

She can't be in the quiet too long because the silence just. It messes with her. Makes her feel uneasy

She tries to take things easily, but when she gets overwhelmed or angry she tends to snap at the others. This can cause problems

She's also not as experienced as say, Captain Barnacles, Kwazii, and Tweak. She's a tech expert, but she's not super used to being underwater all the time

She wishes she could contribute more to the team

She has a few chronic pains that come an go. Its really. Some days can be bad

Tweak

Tweak cant sleep. She has horrible insomnia.

This can make mornings especially difficult, and if she doesn't get enough sleep she gets bad mood swings. This can lead to fighting

They get bad dysphoria, and sometimes they just. Hate that they feel that way.

As the creator of the Gups, he feels guilty when skemthing goes wrong with one of them. Especially if a glitch or something she missed gets someone else hurt.

Sometimes they'll work themselves into a frenzy and forget just. Basic self care lkke drinking water or eating.

Tweak worries about being to blunt and hurting someone else's feelings.

Worries about not knowing exactly what tk do.

Doesn't like loud noises at all. They bother her a lot

Shellington

Shellington very much has autism! This makes it a bit harder to understand social cues and if the others are fighting he sometimes accidentally makes things worse.

It also makes it hard if things go off schedule. He gets just. Overwhelmed and . If it's really bad has a meltdown

Sometimes fears he's doing something wrong. Like , like what he says and things like that. He over thinks an gets really anxious about it

He doesn't like angry yelling, it's a trigger for him. He'll shut down or have a meltdown.

Worries he annoys the crew when he infodumps

He's glad the vegimals (basically his children) have the rest of the Octonauts to fall back on if they need something he can't provide, but it does. Hurt a little, knowing he can't help them with everything

Shellington can accidentally lock himself into his research for hours at a time. Unhealthy so. Usually the Vegimals can break him out of it but not all the time.

Professor Inkling

I cant think of much for him, other he is old. He worries that the Octonauts, that his family will be. Just . Distraught.

He worries about all of them, a lot. He knows their young anf capable but. He's seen some of the stuff that happens. Its not always a safe job

He's more or less a therapist to everyone, and does his best to listen and help then with their problems. If he can't , he just let's them have a shoulder to cry on.

Yeah I m. Km not gonna do this to the Vegimals they're kids. I cannot :(

But because that was. Upsetting and . Sad . Im gonna do comfort ones now!! Because they're a family for the Goddesses sake!! They love and support each other through the hard times. I'm not gonna go one by one its hsut gonna be. A jumble of comfort things

Here goes!!

The only one who really knows about Captain Barnacles' claustrophobia is Kwazii. It's not in his medical file for some reason. Anyway Kwazii will generally help Barnacles through a panic attack or joke with him to more or less put him at ease.

Kwazii is actually pretty open with his emotions. It's also really easy to pick up on when he's upset. The others get him gifts and littke trinkets or just spend time goofing off with him to cheer him up. Especially when he feels like he's being left behind.

Everyone does their best to help Captain Barnacles when he's just. Over worked. Or seriously worried. They let him sleep in extra or let him hover over them or just. Just listen to him and reassure him that it's OK to feel overwhelmed. They're ok, theyre all ok . During a day like that they host a movie night and take turns picking movies. All of them are there, and they have a wonderful time. If their Captain cries no one says anything anf they just huddle together and stay there as long as he needs

If there's a fight Barnacles or Kwazii usually de-escalate things before it gets too bad. If it results to yelling and Peso or Shellington flee they immediately stop and fix the situation. After wards they send someone to check on the both and they spend time calming down. Sometimes they watch movies, other times they ready together.

If Peso had a panic attack its normally Kwazii or Captain Barnacles who goes and helps. Mostly because they know how how deal with the situation better. They'll just. Sit an hug it out. Just let it all out an then afterwards they go somewhere quiet an just talk about nice things

Dashi checks on Tweak a lot to make sure she's doing ok. Skemtimes they have little sleepovers!

When Shellington gets overwhelmed the vegimals will jsut sit with him and ask questions about sea life!

I’m just gonna dump my Octonauts age headcanons right here in order from oldest to youngest:

Inkling: Based on context clues, I think it’s safe to say he’s in his early-mid sixties.

Captain Barnacles: I’ve always pictured him to be around Princess Carolyn’s age, so late thirties early forties ish.

Kwazii: Older than Tweak but only slightly. Early thirties.

Tweak: For her and Barnacles to be old friends like the show implies, I imagine she would have to be at least in her early thirties. That’s how I was always saw her, anyway.

Shellington: Because of schooling, I picture him and Peso to be really close in age. Shellington probably got a PhD, putting him in his late twenties.

Peso: This might be controversial, but I imagine Peso as the second youngest rather than the youngest. Because he canonically went to medical school, he would probably be in his mid-late twenties.

Dashi: She gives me VERY Gen Z vibes, early-mid twenties.

These are just my thoughts, but if anyone sees this I’d love to see your headcanons!

Yes and no.

Does he think of his crew as children? Absolutely not. They are all fully grown, intelligent and capable adults, and he darn well treats them like it.

But you bet that if one of them is in danger or is frightened, he’s dropping everything he’s doing and rushing to their aid as if they’re his cub that just wondered out onto the highway.

ME TOO! I always felt like he had this fatherly vibe to him with some professionalism sprinkled on top. Like he’s always looking out for his team because he cares for them and worries about them, but its kind of disguised as him just doing his job as the Captain.

I plan to draw more Protective Barnacles because its my jam, so don’t worry! That side of you will have some more fuel soon XD. And thank you for all the compliments! :}

Whos the youngest Octonaut? Well, if we’re not including the Vegimals, I’d say its probably Peso. And the oldest is most likely Professor Inkling.

Does anyone have claustrophobia? Yes! Captain Barnacles canonically does. He got trapped in a deep hole in some icy caves as a cub, since then he’s been afraid of tight and closed in spaces. I have extended on that fact and thought of many different scenarios relating to the aftermath of the Octonauts movie, but you know.. still not confident in all this Octonauts stuff so I haven’t posted my headcannons yet. <:/

Novelas translated into English means Soap Opera.

You think so? I feel like that’s not Kwazii’s thing, he’d probably like horror movies and action filled movies. But Peso probably would like them not gonna lie, him and Dashi would probably watch them together.

Well, in my draft post I’ve got two headcannons for her so far.

Tweak likes sleeping in the launch bay for the #1 reason that she can hear the water sloshing around in the bay. Which mimics the sound the water in the swamp used to make when she lived there with her Dad.

Tweak gets bad migraines when she’s sick, so the other Octonauts have to do a lot to accommodate her. Because the beds in the med bay aren’t that soft, she prefers to sleep in her room when she’s sick. But then the usually comforting sounds of the water in the launch bay become pain inducing. So the launch bay is emptied of all its water, the lights are shut off and, unless its an emergency, no one is allowed in the launch bay until she recovers. 

I looked it up, and its true.

KWAZII WAS A GIRL IN THE BOOKS?? THEN WHY IS HE A BOY IN THE SHOW?? WHY DID THEY CHANGE THAT?? WH??? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I like this Kwazii more than I would any other version of him, but still, WHY’D THEY CHANGE THAT?? IM GLAD THEY DID BUT WHY??

Hmm.. let me think...

Captain Barnacles most likely doesn’t ever have uninterrupted free time, and even when he does, he probably still prefers to be up in HQ where anyone can find him if they need him. But lets say for the sake of it that he has some free time and he takes it. He’d probably either want to play his accordion, or want to read a book.

I feel like there’s a lot of different things Kwazii likes to do in his spare time, but goofing around in the Gup-B is probably his favorite.

Peso probably likes to do puzzles and play his xylophone.

Dashi probably reads books while listening to music. How she does both of these things at the same time I have no idea.

Tweak probably plays video games.

Professor Inkling and Shellington both probably read books in their free time.

I’m not too sure what the Vegimals would do in their free time though..

Oh yes, indeed it does. 

Before becoming the Captain of the Octonauts, Barnacles had to ask himself,  “Am I really ready to be their leader?” Can he handle managing a team of that size? Can he react to situations fast enough and make the right choices? He thought it through and believed that yes. He was ready.

But he wasn’t. He wasn't prepared for that gut wrenching anxiety when one crew member goes missing. He wasn't prepared for the crippling heat that most everywhere else has compared to his home. He wasn't prepared to become so attached to his crew that the thought of something happening to them keeps him awake for nights in a row. He wasn’t prepared for that overwhelming nausea of missing home and his sister. 

There was a lot he didn’t know. They’d all turn to him when something went wrong and ask if everything's going to be okay. He’d say “don’t worry, its all going to be okay.” but he’s just as unsure as everyone else.

Now don't get me wrong, he’s not this completely hopeless and unexperienced Captain that bit off more than he could chew, no. There’s just somethings he didn’t think about before becoming Captain of the Octonauts.

Now usually he can really keep himself composed almost always. He’s very level headed and very good at thinking his way through things, But sometimes? He just.. needs a break. He usually cant get a break because he’s the Captain and always needs to be alert, so everyone else that sees it usually tries to help.

Some crew members, like the Vegimals and Kwazii, have a habit of following the Captain around when they see that he’s tired to keep an eye on him. Others like Shellington and Dashi tend to give him space and keep things quiet for him. Some crew members, like Peso and Tweak tend to clean up around the place to take some weight off the Captains shoulders, they all help him out in some way.

Professor Inkling will sometimes find an excuse to pull him aside to have some tea with him. They’ll sit and talk for a bit but then he’s back up on his feet and back to work. This poor bear..

Dashi and Tweak would probably hang out in Dashi’s room and goof around. Not sure what they’d do.. maybe read, talk, play games or.. idk pillow fights? I don’t know what girls do on a girls night.

As for everyone else? I also am not sure, I don’t know what all those characters with all their clashing personalities would do on a boys night. Maybe they would all watch a movie? All attempt bake something obnoxious together? They seem like the kind of characters that would do that.

I’ve never been to a girls night or a guys night, so I don't really have much of a base to go off of.. but both groups would probably get together and do something they’d all enjoy. Guys maybe a funny movie, and the girls just talking and reading books? <:D 

For real that’d be hilarious. Imagine if their voices were deep and gruff too but they just make them sound high pitched for fun?

Dude that’d be so funny. Like Kwazii’s up to his shenanigans again blabbering on about some sea monster or what have you, and Tunip out of nowhere just goes,

“Kwazii legit stop, we all know that you’re just talking about some ordinary sea creature that pirates interpreted as a sea monster.“

If this game existed in their world and they all played it.....

Captain Barnacles would make it through a pacifist run and would be satisfied. He’s some kind of weirdo who doesn’t think of characters as real people and doesn’t obsess over them and cry about them. Overall he thinks the game is pretty neat, but probably not his type of game.

Kwazii would want to test his skills by attempting a genocide, but his heart of gold would get in the way and he wouldn’t be able to complete it. He’d feel terrible for killing goat mom, reset and go hard pacifist next round. Overall he thinks the game is awesome.

Peso would want to talk to every character so they’d all be included in the story. He’d go full pacifist and cry over the story and its characters. Overall 10/10 for him.

Dashi would probably cry over the game a lot and would never attempt a genocide run because the characters are now her family.

Shellington would hate the fighting parts so would delay those bits by walking around and talking to characters over and over again.

Tweak would go through a neutral run because she sometimes accidently kills weaker monsters. Overall she loves the story and its characters, 10/10 would play again.

Professor Inkling would become invested in the story I bet. Complimenting the story arcs for the characters and its creative game play. But I feel like he’d only play it once and probably wouldn’t beat it, but would have fun with it none the less.

So, I wanted so speak about this subject for some time now, and now, when I saw another person with opinion that xiaolin showdown is somehow racist, I decided it's gonna be today. Disclaimer: Im not racist, homophobic, transphobic or anything like that. I believe everyone is equal and until you're good human - you're normal, you're good. HOWEVER... Xiaolin showdown is racist because it shows it characters in stereotypical light... Are you serious with it? Are you sure u know what a CARTOON IS? Cartoon is mostly for children, it's simplier version of reality, cartoons cant show kids all of the problems society has. Imagine cartoon who would treat about racism, homophobia, phedophilia, rapes and all of that stuff - normally. Without any filter. That. Is. Not. For. Kids. Because purpose of cartoon is to teach, ofc, but with fun. It is to show simplier version of life, that's why cartoons shows people without every single hair on their head drew separately - because it's contractual version of what we know. And so, if there's a cat - it gonna meow and drink milk, even tho milk is bad for cat's. Why? BECAUSE IT'S WHAT WE KNOW! Dog gonna bark, dog gonna hate cats, cats gonna run from dog - this is reality, but it doesn't mean every dog hates cats, and every cat is afraid of dogs, DUH! So: Xiaolin is racist because the characters are stereotypical. 😑 GURL. That's because cartoon have to have characters who are somehow unique, we need to be able to say something about them. And the show was out there in 2003. That's was 18 years ago, almost 20, almost two DECADES ago. You wanna change the world now, and you dont know that some time ago world was diffrent? Those were the times cancell culture didn't exist, those were the times political corectness didn't shout people's mouths. I get u, Im also part of Gen Z, and I see how world is changing, and Im happy for it, but u fight for equalness fighting with people by ruining their careers. You walk over dead bodies to your destination. Let's break this together:

-Raimundo - Brasilian. Loves football, beach, relax, is street smart, sarcastic. Is anything from this feature - racist? Wrong? If you would ask I dont know how many Brasilians if they think that fictional character that is from Brazil likes football is somehow hurtfull or offensive, they probably would say HELL NO! They would be more offended, if he WOULDNT like football, because people in Brazil are CRAZY over football. Not everyone ofcourse, but MAJOR part of them are. Is that "racist"?... No. Not at all. Why would it be, if people in Brazil really loves football?

-Kimiko - from Japan, loves technology and fashion -" Oh no! How wrong! Technology, because she's from Japan, and..." - No. She likes technology also because her father has technollgical business. She loves fashion because he was single father and didn't thought about the facf, that little girl would use more of clothes rather than another video game. But that was his personallity - floppy, but cute. Is there anything wrong with fashion and technology? She was feministic as hell and badass and strong as a motherfuck*r. That should do.

-Clay - American, from Texas. Loves Texas, loves meat, country music, his ranch life, nature. Again - meat. Says a lot of typical for Texas sayings... Is that something that hurt anybody? Any where? Any time? That's not bad features! Bad features and stereotypes are when you think every American is stupid, or every Russian and Pole (from Poland if u dont know) are always drunk and drinking vodka like water. That's the bad stereotype. Not dude from Texas liking meat and sayings.

-Finally Omi - because his short, has big round yellow face and his yellow in generall. Again, repeat after me: The show was creates in 2003. Almost 20 years ago. He's probably Chinese, that's why he's yellow. As well as Master Dashi. He's the shortes, because he's the youngest. Or maybe he has dwarfism? We dont know it. I will say another controversial thing: Almost every accusation of someone or something being racist online I see being said by white girl. U know what I read one time? This girl was saying xiaolin is a little bit racist because of ✨stereotypes✨, and at the same time she wasn't in knowledge that Asian people can have diffrent eye color than black or deep brown. "Kimiko is Asian and somehow has blue eyes"... Umm... Yes! Because that is possible XDD So, she was more stereotypical racist than her point that she tried to make 😂 It is BEAUTIFUL, that every character in the show is diffrent, and they show their cultures! I started to love Brazil because of Raimundo, to the point I read about that country like crazy and I have it emblemats in my room today. Is that wrong? I dont think so. Omi being yellow isn't in my state of non - racist mind offensive towards anyone, BECAUSE IT WASNT MEANT TO BEEEEE. It was 2003 for Gods sake, world wasnt focused on fighting the racism even 5 years ago, so what is the point of fighting racism in something, that wasnt meant to be racist, and was created 20 years ago? I would say: Shut the mouths of people saying dumb racist things to another people FOR REAL. In real life, or the internet. Cancell people who are really bad, but no if they done one mistake. Report racist and homophobic posts and blogs, fight racism as it is happening NOW, not something that was made 20 years ago. You wont erase history of your own country USA, where slavery were a thing. You cant cancell that, because how? It is history, it's in the past, so if you want to change something - Focus or now and today, and dont look for racism in things that arent racist. U think the creator of xiaolin - Christy Hui, who is half Asian, would make Omi and Dashi yellow because she's racist? Gurl, think about what you're saing, fr. Fight racism for real, dont try to convince people that xiaolin is racist because Omi is yellow or Kimiko likes technology or any of that shit. Its not. Like. That. Thank you.

The new kid in an ocean of fish

“Peso! Get up or going to be late for school!” Peso’s mother called from down stairs. Peso covered his head with his pillow he was too tired to even think about getting up. Petrona tapped her feet down the stairs signing that you’re her second oldest son is refusing to get up for his first day of school! She turned from the stairs and went into the kitchen where her youngest son was at pinto was sitting at the kitchen table eating some breakfast that his mother made, he was wearing school clothes. He looked up as his mother was walking in, he smiled at her “Buenos Dias mama!” pinto exclaimed happily. Petrona smiled at her son “Buenos Dias hijo.” She cooed “Pinto dear could you be a dear and wake up your brother so he can eat and to be early for the bus?” Petrona asked sweetly pinto nodded getting up from his sit to get his brother. When pinto made it to his brother’s door and tried to open it to find out it was locked pinto shook his head walking away from his brother’s room door to go to his room instead he opened his room door and walked in there was a few boxes in his room that he had yet to unpack going over to his dresser that was right next to his bed “now where did I put that key?” he asked himself opening the second drawer he turned over a few books until he found what he was looking for he pulled out a small sliver key. He smiled closing the drawer and walking out of his room and back to his brothers using the key he opened up his big brother room he peak his head in to see a dark room he turn his head to face his brother’s bed. Peso was currently sleeping on his bed Pinto quietly walked into Peso’s room he went over to bed peso “hermano mayor.” Pinto said quietly lifting up peso’s blanket pinto saw peso long messes black and white hair was covering his face and he was still sleeping he tried again louder this time “hermano mayor it’s time to get up for school. Come on.” Peso mumbled something under his breath turning away his back facing his brother. Pinto pouted signing desperate times called for desperate measures…

Petrona was quietly humming to herself sitting at the table drinking a cup of coffee and reading a book than she heard a screaming and the sound of laughing and then running and yelling she smile getting up from the table and walking to the foot of the stairs she saw pinto running down the stairs he jumped a few stairs and stand behind her giggles she saw peso next running down the stairs she had to keep herself from laughing seeing her son was covered in water. He stopped facing his mother “Buenos Dias hijo” she cooed slyly peso looked at her his eyes narrowed at his little brother who currently standing behind their mother he signed knowing he won’t be able to get his little brother back until later that day “Buenos Dias mama…” “now go up stairs fix your hair and get dress for school you’re going to be late for the bus!” she exclaimed clapping her hand Peso nodded going up stairs to get ready.

When he came back down stairs, he noticed that his brother and his mother was already gone he walked into the kitchen he saw a note on the table besides a plate of food and coffee. He read the note ate his breakfast and drink his coffee after that he grabbed his house keys and his bookbag and ran out the door locking it behind him.

Peso was panting hard when he made it to the bus stop, he saw the bus pull up taking a deep breath he walked up the stairs of the bus “good morning you must be the new student am I correct?” the bus driver asked peso nodded she smiled “well it’s nice to meet you. What is your name?”

“Peso. Peso Hernandez.” “well nice to meet you Mr. Hernandez my name is April. Right now, you don’t have an assigned seat yet, so you made have to sit next to Brian for now.” Peso nodded “Brain can you stand up please?” April called a boy with short blue-gray hair stood up his blue eyes show curiosity “yes Ms. April?”

Ms. April turn to Peso than to Brian “Brian Mr. Hernandez will be your seat buddy is that alright with you?” Brian smiled “no I don’t mind at all!” with that being said Ms. April smiled “go ahead Mr. Hernandez.” With that Peso walked to his new seat and sat down Peso turn to face Brain who was smiling at him “its nice to meet you Mr. Hernandez! The name is Brian Barnacles!” Brian exclaimed Peso looked at him than said “you can call me Peso Barnacles…” Brain blinked but nodded “and you can call me Brian!” “no, I just call you Barnacles.” Peso said turning to face the front of the bus Brain furrowed his brow at Peso “can I ask why?” Peso turn to face Brian again “I find your last name to be cute and silly.” Brian opened his mouth than shut it blushing a deep red “we-well thank you.” Brian turned away scratching the back of his head than he stopped and turn to face him again “silly?”

“yes, quite silly. It the fact that your last name is literally a sea animal name.” Peso said giggles Brian was about to said something but stopped and looked away he blushed again. “well why are you named after a coin?” Brian said smugly Peso looked at him bored “la razón por la que tus padres te nombran percebes porque es lindo y tonto.” Brian looked at him he opened and closed his mouth then face the front of the bus mumbling to himself about he should had pay more attention in Spanish class.

When Peso made it to school he was taken aback how big it was he gulped walking into the school he looked around trying to find the front deck he saw nothing but class rooms he continued though the hallways unit he reach the a big area of the school to seem to be the schools common area their was around hallway it him to be going by letters and number the hallway right in front of him was label G1 he turned around to looked at the letter and number behind him it was label H2 so is the halls going in order or not in order he shook his turning to face the other way there were a lot of students here some of them are going into another room that was right next to G1 hallway he guess to be the cafeteria. He tried asking for help but some of the students ignore him which annoyed “hey there little guy are you lost?” a female voice asked “pequeñin?” Peso said turning around to face the feminine voice standing right in front of him was a tall female no taller than him she had dirty blonde hair at the end of her hair was dyed green. She looked confused “pequeñin? Who wave back “what’s yours?” Peso looked at her then smiled “my name is Peso Hernandez.” He took her hand into his and shake he pulled away “umm do you know where the front office is?” “of course, I do just follow me!” with that Peso followed Tweak and Shellington to the far end of the hall they turn a corner Peso saw that the hall name was G2 and continued down the hall they stop by some stairs that was on the right side of the hallway and went up them when they made up the stairs they turn left and walked a few more steps until they stop at a set of double tweak knocked on them and they waited they heard walking and the doors opened a young woman with dark green that looks like she in her early twenties was standing inside of the room looking at both Tweak and Shellington she didn’t even noticed Peso “what do you two want?” she asked with annoyed tone of voice Tweak smiled than pointed at Peso “we’re here to drop of the new student!” Tweak happily exclaimed the woman eyes turn to Peso who looked nervous “name.” she ordered Peso stammered over his words he cleared his throats before speaking “m-my name is Peso Hernandez.” The woman nodded stepping aside “come on in Mr. Hernandez.” Peso nodded walking into the office he gasped when he walked in the office was huge the front desk was big in had a one computer and few TVs he assume it was for security purposes behind the desk was a big set of double door looking up it read “head master” he than turn to his right there was other set of double doors but it was not as big as the head master and it read “counselor office” “having fun?” a voice said behind him he jumped and turn to be face with the nameless woman “umm yes I mean! no its very big room.” Peso said with a nervous chuckle the woman hummed she walked to her desk Peso followed when she got behind it she point to the left of Peso he turned his head to see six chairs that was near the walls “take a sit over there and wait I have to get you someone to show you around the school and to your classes…” Peso nodded “thank you Ms…” the woman looked at Peso and he got the hint and sat in one of the chair.

Peso sat silently in his chair the only sound was the typing of the keyboard and the sound of the clock that was ticking the bell ring a few minutes ago and the unnamed woman told him it was the first bell meaning it was time for them to head to class Peso nodded in understanding. He sighed becoming inpatient he heard a phone ringing and he turned to face the desk where the woman was at, she put up the phone and begin speaking to whoever was on the other line. She nodded and put the phone back onto the holder than she went to the speaker that was right next to it can click a button “Dashi Yamamura please come to the head master office.” With that being down she got up and went to counselor office she knocked, and Peso heard a muffed “come in” and she walked in it was a few second when she walked back out holding a price of paper she went back down behind the desk.

Then there was a knock at the door “come in” she called the door opened a girl with brown hair and brownish- purple eyes walked she was a bit on the chubby side, and she was very pretty Peso blushed a little when he saw her walk in. “yes Ms. Griffin?” the girl named Dashi asked Ms. Griffin hand Dashi a price of paper and then pointed to Peso who was watching them. “see that student over there. I need you to show him around the school and where his classes are. If you looked at his schedule you and him have the same three classes and he had two class with your friend Mr. Stephenson, can you asked him to show where Mr. Hernandez last class is.” Dashi nodded “yes ma’am I can asked him.” “good.” Then she turn to Peso “your free to go Mr. Hernandez.” Peso nodded he got up picking up his bookbag to follow Dashi to his class.

“so, Mr. Hernandez…” Dashi said looking at Peso who in turn looked back at her “yes?” “umm so I wanted to say welcome to octo high. I hope you enjoy the school year with us and umm…” Dashi took out her phone to look at something real quick “and umm just remember we’re here to help you meet your goals…” “yo-you can stop now I think I got it…” Peso said putting his hand on Dashi shoulder to stop her “oh thank god! I am really sorry when we get a new students, we have to read this god awful speaks.” “its fine I heard worse also you can call me Peso.” Dashi smiled “okay Peso so our first class is math 2-1 which is down stairs to the right!” Peso nodded following Dashi down the stairs they turned right and continued they stop at a door that read 2-1 math Dashi opened the door and walked in with Peso right behind her there was up to eighteen students in the class if he count him and Dashi would make twenty Dashi lead him to his new teacher desk “Mrs. Peach?” a woman with reddish-blonde hair turned to face Dashi “yes miss. Yamamura?” “we have a new student! His name is Peso Hernandez!” Dashi step aside Peso waved at his teacher who smiled “well its nice to meet you Mr. Hernandez my name is Mrs. Peach I am glad to have you in my class you can sit with miss. Yamamura and Mr. Stephenson.” Peso gave a nervous smile and said, “thank you Mrs. Peach.” With that Peso followed Dashi to their seat a boy with braided hair sat in this seat playing idly on his phone he blue-green eye looked up from his phone to see his best friend coming to their table he also noticed someone else he hadn’t seen before he was now curious “Kwazii!” Dashi said with the biggest smile that he had ever seen “Kwazii this is Peso he’s new here and were going to the bestest friend we have the same three classes with him! You two will have the same class as well! I was also wondering if you can show him to his last class and I can show him the clubs after school. Are you okay with that?” “hon I had no idea what you just said but I am down with it” Kwazii said eyeing Peso who looked nervous Dashi pouted little bit crossing her arms “what your name?” Kwazii asked Peso looked extremely nervous “m-my name is Peso.” “Peso like the coin?” Peso nodded “that adorable!” “th-thank you…” Kwazii smiled than turn to Dashi “now repeat what you said but slower hon.” Dashi nodded and began to explain again but slower Kwazii nodded after she was done explaining “okay let me see his schedule.” Dashi showed him and he nodded than he turn back to Peso “you’re in good hands matey.” Peso nodded “so um when do class start?” “ten.” Kwazii said Peso eyes went wide “ten minutes?!” “no ten seconds but it starts now.” Kwazii showed Peso his phone where there was a green check mark on its Peso was confused by this “Mr. Hernandez?” Peso looked away from Kwazii phone to look at his teacher “may I see your phone?” Peso went into his bag to pull out his phone he handed it to Mrs. Peach she told it and started to type on it in a few minute she handed Peso his phone back and smile at him “now you are in my class. Miss Yamamura, can you explain the octopod app to him please?” “yes ma’am!” with that Mrs. Peach walked back up front to start class.

“so, the octopod app pretty much let the teacher check you into class?” peso asked as they walked out of there math class Dashi nodded “there also a cool little feature on its as well.” Kwazii said “what the feature?” “you noticed how there is only one bell during the day and then at the end of class and there is no warning bell.” “yeah?” “well, you see matey when the first bell ring the app send you a notification a timer to, yet you know how long you have before you class starts.” Peso looked at Kwazii in awe. Kwazii smirk “yea know Peso has anyone told you how cute you are?” Dashi shook her head putting her hand on her face Peso looked at him than said “I been called cute by everyone my mom, my older brother and sister, my little brother, my dad, my ex’s yeah pretty much everyone… why?” Kwazii and Dashi was taken aback for a moment than Dashi began to laugh Kwazii looked away embarrassed Peso looked at both Dashi and Kwazii in confusion.

Dashi hummed to herself as she waited for Peso the final bell just let out a few minute ago she looked at her phone see how long before the bus leave lucky for her they only got about six minute which could be enough time to show him where the clubs are. Dashi wanted to show in and explain the clubs in detail to Peso so he could pick his own, but she just have to settle down and just show him she turned her head when she heard the class room door was opening, she saw a few students walking out most of them looking pissed Peso was the last one out “Peso?” Peso stopped and turned to Dashi “oh hello Dashi were you waiting for me?” Dashi nodded with a smile Peso didn’t smile but frowned “what happened?” Peso looked at her and moved his head to the said to say, “follow me” she obliged following Peso when they were a couple feet away from his class he turn to Dashi and said, “that teacher is an ass!” Dashi blinked “really? How come?” “the first thing when I got there, he give me two weeks of homework and then said have this done by next Monday. Like how the hell does that! And what make it even worse he doesn’t go over what this is! And he wanted it done by Monday! Dashi its Friday I only have today and the weekend to finish this! And it thirtieth pages long!” Dashi watch quietly as Peso went on his little rent ‘is that why everyone is that class looked upset?’ she thought than she took out her phone to look at the time her eyes went wide they only have two-minute left before the bus leaves she panicked grabbing Peso arm and running to the nearest stairs.

Peso walked into his home with a deep sigh him and Dashi missed the bus he had to apologized to her multiple times, but Dashi didn’t accepted his apologizes not because she was mad at him, but she told him that she understand lucky for them Kwazii was walking out of the school to head to his car Dashi asked him if they could get a ride home which he agreed to. “Hola gran hermano!” Pinto exclaimed from the couch Peso looked at him than said “Hola hermanito.” He walked into the kitchen to see if his mother was in, she sometime listen to her programs or music when she in the kitchen, but he saw that she wasn’t there “Pinto where is mama?” “she at the store.” Peso nodded then want over to the couch “here.” Pinto looked up from the tv to see a piece of candy in Peso hand Pinto gasped grabbing the candy before he opened it, he looked at Peso with suspicion “what did you do to this candy?” Peso was taken back by this accusation “Pinto! How could you say that!” “well, I pour water on you this morning… and you have a track record of being petty...?” “well rest assured you that there is nothing wrong with that candy!” Pinto hesitated but nodded “okay I trust you Peso.” Peso smiled “great now I am going upstairs to procrastinate on my homework later!” with that Peso went upstairs to his room Pinto watch him go looking at the candy with greedy eyes.

When peso made it to his room, he looked the door and went straight to bed his bed was still damp from this morning he closed his eyes than smiled when he heard Pinto screamed Peso chuckled glad he asked Kwazii if he can take one of his pieces of his spicy candy with him he knew that Pinto would not pay attention to the type of candy he eats and the fact that didn’t is not a big fun of hot stuff with that Peso yawned and went to sleep…

Aftermath

Petrona walked into her home to see her youngest son drinking a cup of milk and she noticed a piece of red candy on the floor near the couch she walked over to her son “what happened.” “Peso gave me spicy candy!” Pinto exclaimed Petrona hummed in understanding she went into the store bag and pulled out a candy bar Pinto hesitated “don’t worry love the sweetness of the candy well dull the spice in your mouth.” Pinto took the candy and started to eat it “is it helping?” Pinto nodded “well then its time to get your brother back don’t you say mi hijo?” Pinto hummed in approval.

fuck I am finally done with chapter one of this! lol so here is the octokids in high school don't know when I'll start on chapter two but hope ya like it! reread proofread it and a little rewrite here and there I will be also uploading this to my Wattpad and my AO3 I also well be drawing the cover for this story so stay tone for that. and can you give me feedback on this if I need to change or fix somethings thanks for reading!
