How long do you think it took for Wuya to go from being curious about who Chase's "chosen one" was to never ever wanting to hear the name "Omi" again?
Apparently, exactly one episode.
She joined up with Chase at the end of Year of the Green Monkey (ep 19), during which Chase chose to remain purposely vague and just hint that he had his sights set on one of the monks.
At the start of The New Order (ep 21), she's complaining that she specifically doesn't understand why Chase wants Omi so much.
So while the whole world was getting turned into plants in episode 20 in between those two episodes, Chase was very busy gushing to Wuya about his self-proclaimed apprentice.
It honestly probably didn't even take too much prodding for Chase to stop being secretive about it.
Wuya probably keeps asking to be let in on the plan, hoping to use whatever this is as her new method of getting her true form back. She mentions that she has experience luring one of the monks over to the dark side, so if he wants Raimundo, she'd be an invaluable help towards that end--
And Chase is utterly insulted by the implication that he would possibly set his sights on the least honorable and loyal of all the monks. Wuya guesses Kimiko and says she sees the wicked ambition behind the girl's eyes, or maybe Clay and says he'd make for an okay meatsuit if they had someone like Sibini puppeteer him again.
Annoyed, Chase finally just gives up on keeping her out of the loop and directly states that the one he wants ruling by his side is actually Omi, much to Wuya's surprise. And from there, the floodgates open, and he won't stop talking about all the reasons why he sees Omi as the perfect choice for him, much to Wuya's dismay.
This took me way too long, and I... *shivers*..., have more of these as WIP.
Pls don't flop I spent my free time after studying for this😭
On the other hand, Chase, you gotta stop aggravating your wife bro!
You're in his territory. Will kick your ass!
(Chase only got in to the Nomicon bc he himself got marked by First Ninja as seen in one of my explanations of this au and is therefore kind of a guest.
But a good chunk is bc he's still unadmittedly pissed off after a defeat on a showdown with the Xiaolin monks and wants to rant about it.
Bro managed to get into a mental gymnastic fortress through sheer anger and willpower alone)
Thank y'all so much for the support, really appreciate it.
The nefarious nitwit called Jack Spicer is a self-proclaimed super villain who, despite his foolishness and neuroses, is a rather brilliant inventor. The lad comes from a wealthy family and has been terribly neglected by his parents, resulting in recurrent panic attacks and a grossly diminished sense self esteem. He has attempted to cope with these difficulties by turning to villainy and hoping to show his worth by becoming the world’s greatest evil genius.
Utilizing a bevy of remarkable self-made devices (including such items as helicopter backpacks, ray guns, and dozens of mechanical minions) Jack has sought out to obtain the powerful Shen Gong Wu, mystical weapons crafted by the legendary Grand Master Dashi. He released the spirit of the evil witch, Wuya, and has aided her in battle against the noble Xiaolin Warriors.
While most frequently a villain, there have been instances where Jack Spicer has shown honor and pooled resources with the heroes so to achieve the superordinate goal of preventing disaster. The good-hearted Omi has seen that Jack is capable of turning away from villainy and has tried to convince him to do so... thus far to no avail.
The young villain is voiced by actor Danny Cooksey in the initial Xiaolin Showdown series and by actor Eric Bauza in the subsequent Xiaolin Chronicles. Jack first appeared in the debut episode of the Xiaolin Showdown animated series, airing on November 1st, 2003.
Your Donnie honestly remind me some much of Jack Spicer from xiaolin showdown, honestly think they would be good friends if not rivals
Sadly I have to say, while their style is kinda close and I can see the connection—Donnie would not like Jack too much…Spicer would probably get along better with one of the Sep!Donnie’s that are more…outright villain coded. Don might be a little skewed morality wise, but he’s still a good kid 🤣. But, hey, Don might get along well with like Clay or Kimiko!
when i was a kid i was obsessed w xiaolin but only for these three characters and id draw fanart of me marrying chase while the main characters were on screen (except kimiko i liked her. i used to ship her and shadow so much.... toxic yuri win)
Did a whole piece and a doodle to celebrate!! This show means so much to me, so I want to go all out for it!!
Here is an alternate version of the doodle I did, I'm not really fond of it 💀 I wanted to include as much as many characters as I could but, I was rushing 😭 Hope you all like it tho :')
