OMG STAR YOU WANT TO GET INTO GIDLE???

firstly, all the recs you’ve been given so far are so perfect. especially Oh My God like that was the first song of theirs I heard and it’s sooo good

secondly, I have to rec Allergy and Paradise. they’re from the same album as Queencard (I Feel) and Allergy is like a prequel to Queencard? like Allergy is about having insecurities and Queencard is about being confident (very rough analysis of these songs but their mvs go together). and I just love Paradise, it shows off all the girlies vocals so well. (also soft flex, I have all the I Feel albums and they’re so cool. especially Queen version which is a full deck of playing cards instead of a normal photobook, it’s amazing)

I would also rec all of the Heat album but especially Eyes Roll, I think it’s soo underrated ;w; and Tomboy is a fave, please give it a try!

there are so many crumbs of skz and gidle interactions but I cherish them all so dearly. it’s actually not fair because they’re supposed to be friends, but men and women can’t breathe in the same direction without dating rumours 😔 lol but there’s a clip of minnie crying after they won an award and chan literally goes ‘aww’ while i.n is like 😮, then jisung hyping soyeon up during one of her My Bag performances, and yuqi and changbin repping bunny idols and binnie gets flustered after he thinks she wants him to hold a carrot plushie for her, and finally i.n gifting miyeon flowers while doing the slickback challenge on her last day of mc-ing (THEY’RE SO CUUUTE)

also, I have to talk about their song Nxde, so mini essay ahead: on top of being a track that calls out the objectification and oversexualization of women, especially in the music industry, it’s also serves 2 very important purposes. the song, as well as many others by the group, is a love letter to ex-member soojin. the music video has tons of easter eggs for her, including her idol Marilyn Monroe and a character that bares her likeness in parts of the mv. gidle has not been allowed to really associate themselves with soojin since her departure, not because of the bullying allegations against her (they were ultimately disproved) but as punishment against her for the nature in which she terminated her contract with Cube. still, soyeon (our production queen) always finds a way to get around this and show appreciation to their friend.

soyeon also faced a lot of difficulty during the production of Nxde because of the title. the company didn’t want to release the song with that title because they deemed it inappropriate, and they said it wouldn’t get played. their reasoning was that with a title that controversial, it would be barred from charts and shows wouldn’t want to promote it. soyeon was not going to budge though. she had many inspirations for the title, but one was from a tag online. she noticed that things tagged nude on many social media platforms were full of pornographic content of underage girls.

she knew that if she released the song it would do very well and start trending because of fans, and she wanted to flood these tags with content related to the song. so when creeps looked up nude or nxde, the sites would be full of a song with women telling them to stop being perverted instead of what was occupying the tags before. (she’s talked about this in lives, and touches on it a bit in their interview with Jonathan from Diggle around the 21 minute mark).

I think soyeon is tremendously underrated, not just with her music but also her intentions. like, honestly, how can someone be so clever? she always finds a compromise with the company and gets her way in the end 💖 sorry for the longass message, I love her so much ;w;

First off I had no clue queencard kinda goes hand in hand with another music vid so I’m definitely going to check it out! I loved the queencard mv I think it’s so cute and empowering 🥹 SECOND I have seen my minuscule share of skz x gidle interactions but I don’t think I ever completely knew who they were (which in hindsight is a little ignorant, lol) I remember the recent even with Jeongin gifting the flowers ahhh that was so adorable !!

I also had no clue about the Soojin stuff- I’ll go so far as to say I’m not sure I even knew they had an ex-member (can you guys tell I haven’t brushed up on my gg knowledge 😅) but that’s so incredible that they find ways to include her regardless! That makes me so emotional and I wasn’t even around for the allegations or anything. Also the fucking phenomenal thought process of Soyeon titling their song that just to fend off creeps from the hashtag??? ICONNNNNN 👑 we love deterring weird fucking men I love that SO much

I’m so excited to get into them and listen to all your song recs and even more so with the knowledge of what everything means! I’m especially excited to see the little Soojin easter eggs in their music vids 👀

Integrity - Chapter Eight

The days come and go and before I know it, it’s my first day of school. I feel nervous about it – I haven’t been to school since I was ten. Aisling has been a great help these last few days. I may not have done much studying, but I have had more fun than I’ve had in… oh I can’t even remember the last time I properly had fun before I fell down here. I hardly ever see Chara too, which suits me just fine. We drew up a contract together which mostly functioned as a non-aggression pact, which we both signed. But it will be a cold day in hell before I forget what they did to me.

“Soo… you ready?” I stared up at my new school. It looked so big and foreboding. My heart was hammering in my chest. “As I’ll ever be…” I looked down at the laptop that Asriel gave me. It would be my pen until my left arm recovered. Having only one working hand… wasn’t that great, but having Aisling with me helped. However, now we would be parting ways – she was in the year above me. I would have to be by myself and rely on strangers for help. I’d have to trust people I didn’t know… Aisling grinned at me. “Aww, come on, it’ll be fiiine! You’ll make lots of friends and have… well, I guess you won’t have an AMAZING time, ‘cuz it’s school and you still have to study and stuff… but you’ll have a pretty decent time.” She patted/slapped me on the back. Ow. “And if any of the other kids are mean to you, just let me know and I’ll beat ‘em up… with words…” She frowned slightly. “Aaanyway, if you’re done having a staring contest with an inanimate object then let me know and we’ll actually go inside.” She readjusted the bags on her back, some of which were mine, and started walking. I took a deep breath and followed behind her, into the belly of the beast. Well, technically it’s a school, but same difference.

As we entered, it felt like every monster’s eyes were glued to me. Probably because they were. I nervously clutched my arm and looked away. Aisling noticed. “Hey guys! It’s rude to stare. You never seen a human before?” Some of the monsters looked away. I felt my cheeks flush red. Of course, of COURSE she’d do that. She has no filter at all. Shouting in the middle of a large group of people, or monsters, didn’t embarrass her. It wouldn’t surprise me if she had never been embarrassed before. She nudged me, “Come on, dude! Introduce yourself to everyone!” She smiled at me encouragingly. My mind was screaming. Aisling whyyy… “M-my n-name is… M-Morgan S-Sanchez. P-pleased to m-meet y-you…” Then I bowed. Why did I bow? Who bows outside of Japan?! I’ve been watching too much anime…

“Oh my gosh they’re soo cuuute!” One of the monsters, an anthropomorphic cat, said. Aisling grinned. “Hey Cassie! Morgan this is Cassie, as I literally just said. She’s in your year. Class 3B, right?” Cassie made a face. “3A, ya dingus. God, it’s like we’re barely even friends. Who are you again?” “Just an idiot who yelled on a chair one time so everyone would like her.” They both laughed. I felt like I was missing some crucial information. There would probably be a long story behind it, and we didn’t have much time before classes anyway. “3A,” I frowned, “That’s my class, isn’t it?” “Yup. You two are classmates now. Congrats.” “Yaaay for new classmates!” Cassie went in for a hug. I quickly stepped back and held out my hand for a handshake instead. She smiled, unfazed, and shook it. Aisling coughed. “Crap, sorry, I should’ve mentioned – Morgan has this whole thing about being touched.” “Why?” Cassie asked innocently. I pulled away and clutched my arm, looking down. “I… don’t want to talk about it.” “Cassie, I don’t think either of us are high enough friendship levels yet to unlock his Tragic Backstory™.” Despite myself, I laughed. “Yes, you both need to be Level 80 or higher before you’re able to unlock that.” Dear god I sound like Aisling… “What level am I?” She asked. “You’re a level 10.” She gasped, outraged. “Whaaat?! Nu-uh! No, take that back, I’m a level 20 at least! Or level 30!” “No takebacks.” “So what level am I?” Asked Cassie. I frowned at her. “I literally just met you. You’re level 1.” “Ouch. I woulda thought that being a friend of a friend would’ve counted more. So when do I unlock the hug ability?” “In special circumstances, you can unlock it at level 7, but for normal circumstances, such as everyday hugs, you would need to be at least level 25.” Why was I still playing along with this analogy? Aisling pouted and folded her arms. I was going to say something to her but then the bell rang. The two girls both laughed as I almost jumped out of my skin and I glared back at them. Ash readjusted the bags on her shoulders. “Right. So which class have you guys got first?” “Science.” Replied Cassie. “Pretty sure it’s a practical today.” “Ooooh! Morgan your first class has magic! Lucky! Oh but, since neither of us are monsters or Chara, you’d best stick with the whole planning and note-taking bit during experiments. Unless you can do magic or whatever. Which would suck for me, but would be great for you.” “Er… I don’t think I can do magic. But thank you for the heads up…”

“YO! Mr Steishun, here’s a new student for you!” Yelled Aisling, while bursting through the doors to the classroom. Cassie giggled at all the shocked faces. I stared at Aisling, aghast. All attention was on us. I felt my face go bright red. Aisling whyyy… Once Mr Steishun picked up the various items he’d just dropped in fright, he coughed, readjusted his glasses, turned around and addressed us. “Yes, thank you, Miss O’Neill. Mr Sanchez, if you would be so kind as to take a seat, please, class has already started.” “Oops, my bad. Should’ve gotten here earlier…” Aisling cheerfully dropped my bags on the floor. “Aisling, laptop!” I cried out. Too late, it had already hit the floor. I glared at her. “Crap…” She checked through the bags. Nothing was broken. We both sighed in relief, as I made a mental note to carry that bag myself next time. Ash slapped me on the back again. Ow. Again. “Welp, nothing’s broke, and I got to scoot. Cassie’ll help you with stuff, won’t you, Cassie?” I didn’t see the Look that she gave my classmate, but she nodded quickly, a little intimidated. Aisling turned to me with a beam on her face. “Great! See you guys at break then!”

The first lesson was fascinating. I’d hardly seen magic used before now, but being in the class made me realise how frequently it’s used. Everyone could do it – it was like a part of who they were. I tried a few times too, but I couldn’t. It made me feel different. Alone. Similar to how I felt back on the Surface. I guess some things never change, no matter where you are. Still, it was interesting to watch and I learnt a lot.

The second lesson was interesting too, but in a different way. Usually when I learn languages, I learn about different cultures and how to be more open-minded, as well as the usual memorising of vocabulary and grammar. But in this class I encountered discrimination for the first time in the Underground although, to be fair, it was quite mild. Thankfully, for once it wasn’t because of my skin tone or the fact that me and my parents were immigrants. I was asked if I was more like Chara or Aisling. When I replied that I wasn’t like either of them, they were bewildered. I told them that there were billions of humans on the Surface, and that none of us are the same. I was met with blank looks. They didn’t seem to be able to process that information at all. That lesson felt like an eternity - there were so many resets. Fifteen resets in an hour… and no one else even noticed it. I felt like I was going mad. It was such a relief when the lesson was over.

“Heya, Morgan… woah… you okay there, buddy?” “Fifteen resets… in ONE HOUR. Who needs to reset THAT MUCH?!” Aisling looked at me for a few seconds and then laughed. “Damn, I forgot how new you were to the Underground! That’s nothing, just wait until they play chess - the number goes waaay higher. Pretty sure a week passed, surface time, last time that happened.” “That’s crazy! Can’t you ask them to tone it down?” “Dude, if I talk to them about anything like that, then they’re just going to do it MORE. I’ve told you how much they hate me, right? If there’s an opportunity for them to piss me off then they’ll gladly take it. But, uh… you’re welcome to ask them, if you want. They might listen to you.” A shiver ran up my spine as I remembered the last time I confronted Chara about something. I am in no hurry to die again. “… I really don’t think that that would work…” “Aaaand that right there’s the main issue about living here.” She opened up her lunch box and offered me one of her strawberries. I politely declined. “Still, nice to know I’m not alone anymore. And I’m not crazy! Yaaay!” I watched as she ate the strawberry, leaves and all. “… That’s debatable.” She grinned up as Cassie returned with some food, drink, and a new friend. A bunny monster with green eyes. “Morgan this is Seiga. Seiga, Morgan.” We shook hands. “Nice to meet you.” “Great to meet you too, Morgan! Is it true that humans start out as fish when they’re born and grow limbs as they get older?” Aisling almost spat out her drink. I stared at her in disbelief. “Er… no…” What have you been telling everyone, Aisling? “So then you don’t grow bat wings when you’re older?” Asked Cassie. “… No.” Aisling pouted and slurped more of her drink. Seiga grinned triumphantly. “Hah! I knew you were lying about those metal boxes that fly!” “Do you mean aeroplanes…?” “Oh yeah, that’s what Ash called them.” “We’ve had then for ages. Almost 150 years now. We call them planes for short.” Cassie and Seiga both stared at me in shock. Cassie whistled. “Well, now I don’t know WHAT to believe. Are countries real? Do people speak different languages on the Surface too?” “Oh definitely.” I laughed. “I wasn’t actually born in this country.” “We’re in a country right now?!” “Er… yeah?” Aisling looked at me in interest. “… So where are you from?” So I ended up filling them all in on my life. Where I was born, the War, our difficult move here and… most… of the main events of my life. The non-tragic ones. Then the bell rang. “Welp, I’ve got to go to Languages now. How about you guys?” Aisling asked brightly as she did up her bag again. “We’ve got History.” Cassie answered. Ash’s face fell. “Morgan… be careful, okay? Most monster history’s not exactly… human friendly.” “How would you know? You’re never in those classes.” Seiga countered. “Because I dropped ‘em. Because I hate being told over and over again that mankind sucks.” “Well it does, sometimes.” I replied. “Well yeah, but we’ve done lots of good things too-“ “Which we had to do after we caused the problems in the first place.” “… Anyway, there’s, like, two main events in Monster History. And you go on about them ALL THE TIME. You gotta switch it up a bit, dudes!” “We’ll… do our best…?” Said Seiga and Cassie in confusion. “But thank you for the advice, Aisling. I’ll be fine, don’t worry.” I smiled at her. She hesitated, nodded at me and left with Seiga. I left for History class with Cassie, uncertain as to what would happen to me there. Aisling didn’t make it sound… promising…

Game of Thrones episode 3

Ok. Guys. I’m proudly announcing that Arya Stark was my fave character since episode 1 while everyone was into Jon for whom I couldn’t care less and wow. She did it. Wow.

I gotta say there’s some things I didn’t like in this episode tho.

Long battle scenes where everything happens quickly are confusing to me cause I can’t follow. I still have no idea of what happened to my boy Tormund or Pod or Gendry also cause if the scenes are at night everything is dark and even more confusing, which turns into boring af. I wasn’t even impressed in Jamie helping Brienne and their fight together cause I couldn’t tell one from another lol

Most of it all I HATE zombies. I hate zombie movies cause they’re all the same, I hate the show The Walking Dead more than any other show, and a lot of parts in this episode reminded me of it and all the zombie movies ever. And since GoT is not a zombie movie I expected white walkers to be dead walking ok, but in a kinda different way. Well. Whatever. They’re gone now. THANKS TO ARYA!

But I kinda imagined the battle would have been longer? I know there are only a few more episodes (I’m already depressed uuuughh) but I imagined that such a powerful enemy and threat would have been given more space, possibly under a light where I could see them lol. I get Cersei and the throne and politics but ugh. Weren’t the dead and uniting to fight them more important? Well. Whatever.

Anyway what about Ghost?Hope they didn’t harm good boy Ghost them f*cking zombies.

The scene where Arya tells Sansa to go to the crypts. Younger sister who really wanted to fight the dead, realizing how dangerous all this is, being worried for her big sister she coulnd’t stand when they were younger, telling that very big sister who’s also the Lady of Winterfell to go to the crypts, was amazing. Giving her the blade was amazing. Telling her to ‘stick em with the pointy end’ was f*cking amazing, she pulled a JonSnow for her big sister I love these 2 so much

I was puzzled when the red woman arrived cause I always hated her and only when she brought Jon back she was actually useful, and I was happy she said she’d be dead by dawn cause f*ck her, her tricks with fire were cool but kinda useless cause the Dothraki ended anyway? (which is sooo sad poor savage horse ppl, and there were the best of them under Dany) and I was really worried when she looked at Arya and Grey Worm like that, and the Unsullied did lose so so SO many of them (all of them? I didn’t get it and I don’t want to rewatch it hahah, I’ll see with next episode) but omg what she did with Arya was AMAZING. Arya was scared, she was losing hope there, she wasn’t giving up because she never does, but she was sorry for Beric and Melisandre told her those words of her prophecy again which was cool even tho she didn’t really get her prophecies right in the past (that b*tch) BUT when she told Arya ‘what do we say to the god of death’ like Syrio Forel I was like AAAAAAAAAH and I still am. And her death was cool. In a ‘bye bitches’ sort of way.

Arya and Clegane and Beric were cool, Clegane triggered by fire and scared only getting his shit together when Arya was in danger was soo cool I was sure he’d die but I was so happy he didn’t. LYANNA MORMONT. Can’t even say anything about her, she was so smol and brave and I was really shocked by her death, it was disturbing in a way but also very heroic and f*ck I’m so sorry she died, I really didn’t want her to. Tbh I’m more sorry about her than Jorah.

Sansa and Tyrion in the crypts. Wow. I loved their scenes. Their dialogues. “You were the best of them”...Sansa has become so badass in her own feminine polite way. And Tyrion is even deeper now.

I like Missandei a lot but her comment on Sansa’s words was uncalled for, I mean ofc she is loyal to Dany and she loves her so much cause she freed her, but from Sansa’s pov Dany nothing like that and she defends her position as a ruler. Position that Missandei disrespected tbh. Can’t say who she reminded me off but I was pissed at this character I like a lot for the first time.

Also, Sansa’s utter fear of the dead but her determination to fight anyway, along with Tyrion, to defend the people in the crypts from what I called ‘vintage dead’ resurrected from the Night King, was so powerful, her grabbing the dagger Arya gave her and Tyrion kissing her hand. Amazing. Like all Sansa’s lines and Tyrion’s here.

I’m still trying to understand what Jon did during this fight cause Dany was much more useful and she isn’t even a fighter? But girl, she picked a random sword with 2 hands and did what she had to do. Well done. In the meantime Jon screaming at dead dragon like wtf? Also, Dany’s dragon attacked by wights making kinda cutesy mouse-like verses? lol. Same for ravens, I know they sound like this for real but the crows I feed have deeper more powerful caws, I know because one was calling me for food as I was watching the episode lol. Also more bird nerd comments: when Bran warged into those ravens my thought was: poor birds they’re not nocturnal let them sleep, take an owl or smth xD

Jorah’s death was heroic and sad, but I was devastated by Theon’s. Really. I’m still sad. I knew he would die, he did too many bad things in the past, but he redeemed himself so well imo that he deserved a second chance. But this is GoT so I just knew. But his moments with Sansa in the last ep...ugh. He fought so so bravely and he died seconds before Arya arrived, how sad is this? And why not give him some Valyrian steel and even more some dragonglass? YOu know, since he was the one protecting Bran....but the plot had him dead since the beginning so.

And Bran’s last words to him, it’s like he gave him absolution for his sins, even though I so hoped he’d pull some magic knowledge or smth to spare him. But ok. I’m sad. Really. Theon was one of my faves since the start, as ‘problematic’ as he was. He was a tormented person, torn between Stark and Greyjoys, between wanting power or following those who had it, and he clearly wasn’t a leader but couldn’t accept this side of him. I’m so sorry for him. I shipped him with Sansa ok?

(ok I’m not in this for the ships but I also might ship Sansa with pretty much everyone but with Theon it was better ok??)

Anyway. “Everything u did brought u where u are now. Home” thanks Bran I’m crying. Also this is the underlying theme of this arc, he also told Jamie something similar. Amazing.

I loved the music in the ‘dead dragon destroying stuff’ part, it gave everything a sort of wooly vibe, the despair and hopelessness and imminent end that Jon and pretty much everyone else perceived were tangible. And then, AND THEN. coming from out of nowhere ARYA. ARYA with her silent swift pace and her assassin moves where she excels while everyone else attacks face to face or smth. ARYA. She was my favourite character since she was just a tomboy with a thing for fighting, the first one who stood up against a Lannister doing injustice, when Jeoffrey was attacked by Nymeria that she chased away to save her life (still can’t get over Lady’s death btw), her narrative was the most interesting and everything she obtained was with hard work and perseverance and determination, and everything brought her here to kill the night king when she ‘just’ wanted to obtain revenge for her family. Arya killing the night king was an amazing choice by the authors, if Jon had done it, it would have been so predictable, like anime main characters fighting the big boss when someone else could do it better. I loved this.

But I’m sad for Theon. But ARYA!!!

HOLY FUCKING SHIT THE MEGAFORCE RANGERS SHOUTED US OUT AT THEIR PANEL AZIM TOLD EVERYONE ABOUT A GROUP OF FRIENDS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY WHO MET BECAUSE OF POWER RANGERS AND POINTED AT US AND THE MEGAFORCE RANGERS ALL CHEERED AND TOLD US TO STAND UP OH MY GOD

uhhh sorry how do i move on from that how do i even think about anything else. the panel room was CROWDED people were FILMING kat and tabby had gone up to ask questions (which were HUGE hits) and come back and sat down AND THEN AZIM SAID THAT in the middle of a question about. i dont even fucking remember. something about what great community values power rangers has or something? and i guess we were related to power rangers being a community or whatever but bitch. BITCH. he said it and like pointed at us and they all started clapping (this sounds fake as hell i know BUT THERES VIDEO PROOF SOMEWHERE???) and everyone turned to look at us and we were like hi and then like two minutes later azim went “oh wait i have to make a correction, its not a group of girls its three girls and one guy because i think abigail isnt here? right?” and we were like ya so uh moral of the story... azim rizk i would murder ten hundred men for you

- mike ginn stopped when he saw me and looked for tabby who was hiding behind me when she saw him and he looked around for tabby and did his pointing thing again and it was so cuuute

- kat was talking to christina about how we avoided the cast all day yesterday and she was like “yes but i saw you anyway ;) and i was wondering when you’d come over to say hi!” shes so CUTE and then they talked about her rescue puppy and she was so happy to talk about her puppy

- ciara and christina made ben sign the art presents he gave them, ciara did it first and christina was like OMG WHY DIDNT YOU AUTOGRAPH MINE and made him sign hers too

- christina and i did a WHOLE photoshoot we did a normal pic then a silly pic but then she didnt like so we did a kissy face pic and she was like “oh i think i did a duck face” and im like thats ok so did i AND OUR PICS ARE SO CUTE AND SHE HUGGED ME SO TIGHT I. WOULD. DIE. FOR. YOU. CHRISTINA. MASTERSON.

- selwyn called tabby his girlfriend when i showed up without her he was like “wheres my girlfriend” bc he remembered us from last night and then she came over and he was like THERE YOU ARE and gave her a free selfie (and signed her space dvd with “tj is the real leader of in space” but refused to X out andros’ face bc that was mean) and he covered up najee’s face on her kevin t-shirt and then was upset bc it looked like he was touching her chest and tracy lynn laughed at him over it AND THEN HE TOLD US TO COME TO THE TGIF IN THE HOTEL AFTERWARDS BC THE RANGERS WERE GONNA GO THERE AND GET DRUNK AND HE INVITED US TO HAVE DRINKS W/ HIM but we stood him up because... we are tired... he was like “yeah we have this stupid vip dinner but like we’re gonna try to leave early and just go get fucking smashed” and we were like ur so valid selwyn. i love you.

- kat showed azim my tweets defending megaforce and he had to put the phone down to run his hands through his hair and be like “wow that was such a specific takedown” and kat was like “yeah she just says this shit all the time bc shes seen megaforce five hundred times” and he was like “she was so detailed though she didnt just say ‘you suck’ she put THOUGHT into her takedowns”

- (later when he signed my super megaforce green print he called me “my sista in social media smackdown!!!” complete with that many exclamation points)

- brennan said “i like your hat” to ben five times and he also signed tabby’s as well with his three catchphrases (she asked for him to write “awesome!” and he was like “i had more lines than that....”) he also told us he and the dino charge team were invited back for a dc/nsteel teamup but they kept cancelling them bc of budget reasons till it was just him and yoshi and he was finally like “i told them to just bring yoshi back because like thats his brother” and i was like “but then they didnt even INTERACT” and he was like “i KNOW”

- tabby’s tracy story: she asked tracy if it was uncomfortable fighting in crop tops and short skirts and tracy said “it wasnt uncomfortable but it was hard to not show everything” and she was like “idk why a power ranger would dress like that” and tabby told her ashley should have her own fashion line of athletic wear for fighter girls and tracy was like YES and tabby said she should have been leader of turbo bc she was into cars and tracy said that when they told her that ashley was gonna have a car plot she was like “ew no i dont want to touch greasy car oils” but that she was happy that ashley got to challenge herself

- kat was standing around azim the entire morning and he was introducing her to everyone who came up to him like she was his handler and at one point accidentally implied that she was his girlfriend and kat was like no im not and he was like “oh whoops it did kinda sound like that...” and his actual handler was like “why did u correct him” and kat was like “NO I LOVE HIS GIRLFRIEND”

- when i was taking my pics w/ the megaforce cast and andrew was the sweetest angel and he kept making poses over my shoulder while i giggled and then he asked me for a hug and KISSED MY CHEEK and hugged me so tight and was like “love you guys” I WOULD DIE FOR YOU ANDREW GRAY

- john mark is literally the funniest person alive and he was constantly going around the megaforce booth when we were there like (to ben when he was giving art to ciara and christina) “WHERES MINE” and to me when i was having them sign my megaforce prints “WHERES MINE” hes so funny and i love himmm

- ciara was signing my prints but she got distracted when we asked about her dogs and she stopped and opened her phone and started showing us pics and videos and she was soo happy to talk about her dogs too and then we took our pic and checked it to make sure it looked good and tabby was like “you look gorgeous” and she was like “we BOTH look gorgeous” i cannot believe. AND THEN she threw in a group photo for FREE and we all got in there

- kat was telling us and azim about some douchebag vendor who was like hitting on her and inviting her to an afterparty and was like “are you over 21″ when she was just trying to look at his spd toys and azim was literally “which guy. where. where is he.” HE WAS GONNA KILL THAT GUY FOR KAT HE LOVES HER

- we somehow got on the subject of azim SHAVING HIS BEAUTIFUL BEARD and he was like “oh well we went to the make a wish foundation to meet kids and the beard scares them so i had to shave” and i was like “thats racist” and he was like nooo but u could tell his mind was blown and i was like “cameron didnt shave” and he was like “well cameron is white” and i was like SO YOU ADMIT ITS RACIST and he laughed also im correct

- related but michael copon came over to jessica rey’s table while we were there and she was like “hi michael these are my FRIENDS” and they were talking about how they’re cousins and they’re both half filipino and tabby was like “why didnt they give you any scenes together in the teamup!” and jessica was like “because i was with erin!” and michael was like “because they couldnt have two filipinos together in one scene” power rangers got WOKE man

- kat to andrew: i have a huge troy plushie!

AND THEN CHRISTINA WAS LIKE “oh mood i wanna be in the pokemon universe” and john mark was like “as what” and she was like “i dont know i didnt watch it” QUEEN OF POKEMON she kins jigglypuff

- tabby was at ann marie crouch’s booth and telling her how she loved that princess shayla was the wild force team’s mom and she was like aww yeah i felt such a maternal instinct even though that was before i had my actual child!! shes so cute!! shes so pretty!!

- jessica rey is literally SO WONDERFUL AND FUN TO TALK TO we went to hang out bc tabby wanted her wild force dvd signed and she was just telling us her stories of hanging out w/ the other boys and how she went to drink w/ azim just to keep him company (bc peter and yoshi were there and they were like “we dont drink” nerds) so cuuute and then she had that pic of her and peter and yoshi and they’re making stupid faces and she’s smiling like an angel and she’s like THEY DIDNT TELL ME IT WASNT A SERIOUS PHOTO and i asked her jokingly how much for it and she was like take it its $30 and i was like pls charge me more have my money take my soul

- tabby and kat were at the megaforce booths and jessica rey came over and was like “excuse me what are you guys doing with MY GIRLS” and john mark was like “uh they’re OUR GIRLS” and then cameron pulled jessica over and was like “actually this is MY babe” and then she tried to leave bc she was in the way of ppl in line and azim stopped her and was like “no no stay you’re part of our FAMILY”and uh basically the power rangers family is the cutest family in the whole world thank you good night

Ahhhh I Love your Voice

this would be too much to fit into a voice note anyway fjdskf and i think doing Every single mx pairing would be a bit too much for my tiny brain but!! i’m gonna talk about each minhyuk pairing under the cut, im not sure if they’ll be as enjoyable as the joohyuk one (i feel like im probably best at talking about them since they’re my favorite) but i hope this is what u guys were looking for :D

showhyuk – i feel like their dynamic is v beneficial especially to shownu, bc minhyuk literally thinks sooo so greatly of shownu like u can tell how much he admires him!! he’s always praising shownus looks and strengths in variety and his actions reflect it as well – during the vlive they did abt law of the jungle, minhyuk literally only seemed to care about shownu monitoring him and shownu’s opinions on how he did because he respects shownu in variety so much, and although minhyuk was originally the member who mx seemed to want to point towards variety shownu ended up being that person instead and i think in shownu’s mind it still means a lot to be thought of that highly by minhyuk, who he views as being so good at speaking and variety.. they both just admire each other a lot in that respect and i think its v good for each of them. also – im partially taking this from what i saw a friend say once, but i think minhyuk helps relieve shownu sometimes from the responsibilities of being a leader… shownu is a great leader i’ve said and explained it so many times but also as they said in the one mxray episode it puts a lot on his shoulders and although he is able to handle it well, i think minhyuk really helps to relieve it because he also acts as their leader in so many ways!! and showhyuk really has a soft spot in my heart bc out of all the members, i feel like shownu really loves minhyuk the way he is the most.. when he said during no exit broadcast that he actually loves it when minhyuk talks a lot.. that’s a statement that i think is beyond what many of the other members feel.. i think the way shownu and minhyuk are actually quite opposite really draws shownu into minhyuk and it’s honestly surprising to me how much shownu just.. loves him? he loves being physically close with minhyuk.. and im no Expert on shownu pairings but i rly dont observe shownu behaving that way with the other members as compared to how he … i wish i could make a gifset compilation of it i think about it all the time but shownu is always reaching out to hold minhyuk’s hand… there are so many subtle moments and honestly it’s almost always shownu initiating it.. and obviously the sweet bed scene from right now with minhyuk cuddling up to him, and also at the end of the liev minhyuk did a similar thing.. and how he lets minhyuk quite literally crawl onto him both during the liev, and the moment at isac.. it’s not even shownu just “tolerating” it or anything but whenever he has these physical interactions with minhyuk i can really see how much he loves it?? it’s something v unique to the two of them and i dont think any of the other members react the same way to minhyuk and like i said it’s just. i really feel like shownu loves minhyuk So Much the way he is… i lvoe them…

wonhyuk – THEYRE SOOO CUTE AN D FUNNIE FJDKSLFDS 2017 was a blessing in the wonhyuk vlives it gave us and it rly opened my perspective to their relationship which i honestly think is so complex beyond what im going to say i feel like… it’s hard for me to discuss abt them bc i think a lot of what im abt to say is a lot more my opinion and speculation than me actually having any idea what’s going on!! their relationship really just goes from one extreme to the other bc one one hand they are soo wild like.. they really have no physical boundaries.. when i was coming up with moments to put in my possessive minhyuk gifset i just kept on coming up with more wonhyuk moments i really considered just making it a wonhyuk gifset at one point bc i couldn’t come up with anything else?? a lot of it is minhyuk to wonho but sometimes even the other way around.. but their relationship is also v intimate emotionally? and this is where i sort of trip up and im not sure about a lot of things.. the obvious place to point is the radio show where wonho talked about each of the members and shared about how important minhyuk was to him and how much he had been leaning on and relying on him as a source of comfort… but beyond that it gets a bit fuzzy? it’s very fascinating to watch the two of them and how they support each other, whether its minhyuk encouraging wonho to speak up or during a meet and greet where minhyuk was starting to fret about his role as MC in the background and you could see wonho comforting him and telling him he was doing well.. i think that maybe they’ve shared with each other a lot on these sorts of topics and insecurities, and i think they both share a bit in that aspect (at least at that point in time) about being afraid to say the wrong thing and the way they both search for peoples’ approval.. but then 2017 hit!! and now they’re really just TWO CHILDREN FJDKLSFDS THEYRE SO CUUUTE the way they bicker with each other and i think its almost like they can both be as completely immature as possible with each other while knowing it’s reciprocated? the fact that wonho can say “i wish minhyuk would disappear” without any fear of misunderstanding or annoyance.. the way minhyuk cutely kept saying he wanted wonho to see him as a friend.. their dynamic is really so fascinating to me even moreso recently… also sidenote but it’s cute how wonho doesn’t like eating alone and i know minhyuk didn’t join him for that one vlive (i genuinely believe he was busy) but if u think back to the vlives they did together this year it was always minhyuk joining wonho to eat… :-( i feel like minhyuk rly understands when wonho is a bit needy and is happy to be there for him… like i said it’s hard for me to coherently put thoughts together about the two of them, i feel like i don’t have as strong of a grasp on their dynamic, but i would love to see more :D

kihyuk – Best!! Fucking!! Friends!! like i know im saying this abt every pairing but i truly feel that these two understand each other on some next level, they could literally share a glance and know what the other one is thinking.. minhyuk could tell kihyun to go fuck himself and kihyun would just laugh his ass off with the brightest happiest eyes like… fdjklsfds the video i just recently reblogged where minhyuk was like “kihyun was so good at acting but i hate so much when he gets into the role i hate him” and kihyuns reaction?? FOR WHY. .. WAS HE SO HAPPY FKDSJLFDS… the most important kihyuk thing to me is really just how well they fundamentally understand each other… with regards to minhyuk understanding kihyun, its actually just funny to me because minhyuk just gets so offended when anyone else tries to say Anything about kihyun because He Wants To Be The One To Talk About His Best Friend.. mxray ep6… everytime that psychoanalyst opened his mouth about kihyun minhyuk immediately butted in he wanted everyone to know that He knew the most he knew it all already.. he felt so relieved whenever the psychoanalyst guy said things he already knew.. minhyuk loves putting his thoughts on kihyun out there jfdkslfds but the more soft and meaningful example would be their second year anniversary video – the way minhyuk explained kihyuns role on the team is genuinely the most heartfelt and well worded explanation i’ve heard… even though it’s rly hard for minhyuk to show it he Knows how much kihyun does and respects and cares for him so much, looks after him silently.. and it’s very much so returned, bc kihyun is the only member who i’ve seen accurately pin down (several times) that minhyuk’s weak point or the thing that he wishes minhyuk would fix is that he overthinks his own performance, he overthinks variety and worries too much in many aspects.. while this is something minhyuk himself is also aware of i’ve never seen the other members bother to mention it but kihyun has talked abt it on several occasions and how he wishes minhyuk could be happier by not worrying so much and i think that shows so much about how well they understand each other and their emotions. it’s fascinating to me how much they’ve changed, they used to be so soft and cute with each other, but it’s grown to the point where they struggle being outwardly nice to each other with cameras around and minhyuk especially is so embarrassed to be honest and nice around kihyun but it works amazingly well between the two of them because kihyun is able to take whatever minhyuk throws at him and either throw it right back or just absorb it and be able to laugh because he Knows minhyuk’s true intentions? i’ve never seen either of them genuinely hurt the other with their sharp words despite all they do is bicker… i lvoe them … :( and kihyun also really just. loves minhyuk? as he is? they literally hang out All THe Time and i’ve said it before as has aleena how.. kihyun keeps on ditching the other members invites to hang out? but minhyuk keeps “complaining” about how kihyun always wants to do things and wherever he goes kihyun is stuck next to him?? they just naturally gravitate towards each other and i cant believe they’re gonna be friends into their next lifetime and that they’re gonna grow up with even their kids being best friends. god im sure i have more to say about them but their friendship is really on another level :-(

hyunghyuk – to be quite honest, a pairing im hesitant to talk about these days, moreso bc it make me uncomfortable the way people talk about them oftentimes? i know that im not one to talk abt them much on my blog but honestly ask any of my friends and they’ll tell u i have the biggest hyunghyuk tunnel vision anymore, like.. im hyperfocused on their interactions.. as an overarching picture, i think their friendship is truly something amazing – they’ve been friends since they were 19, possibly the longest friendship within monsta x, and despite being so very different from each other in so many ways they are able to be so close with such an intimate understanding between the two of them to the point where on one of hyungwons bday messages to minhyuk he said something along the lines of there was nothing more for them to know about each other but that he hopes they continue getting closer and learning more and being good friends.. Strong family vibes :-( while their relationship certainly seems different now than it was a year or two ago, i think that their close bond definitely remains, and i think it’s obvious that they still have massive respect and emotional ties between the two of them… i miss their many close interactions but especially over the past months i feel like they’re returning very much so to the way they used to behave :D

joohyuk – my brain is starting to fry and i think the Joohyuk TED Talk explained most of my feelings pretty well so.. for anyone who didn’t listen here’s the link to that!

changhyuk – my namesake!! :D I LOVE THESE BOYS.. tbh i think i wrote quite a bit about them fairly recently so im not sure if there’s gonna be many new thoughts here but… over the past few months my feelings regarding them have been in a WHIRLWIND i love them so much!! i feel like they’re very similar in so many ways and as such when they’re together they can truly do the craziest things but also have a brotherly bond together? i think i feel similarly to them the way i do about wonhyuk, so, similar to wonhyuk this explanation may not be very coherent or cohesive because it’s hard for me to place everything together. i used to rly think that changhyuk were just like.. fuckin wild.. fuckin out there… because they really do some of the most absurd things fdslfds they really practiced twerking and spanking each other during oi and did it on live stage.. with embarrassed but proud smiles.. they grinded against each other Many times during the most recent ISAC literally acting like they were at a club like.. why in the fuck FJDKLSFDS?? but the more i think about them the less that’s my focus on their relationship, like that’s certainly part of it (a funny and yes enjoyable part) but its so much more than that they are Literally so much like brothers to me and everytime i think of it it honestly brings me to tears because minhyuk really has this fondness and brotherly affection for changkyun that he doesn’t for the other members, and it’s not only apparent through his actions but his words.. but it’s not so much in a way that he views him as a child or anything, but that he just completely respects and trusts changkyun with so much? and he wishes for the same in return from him.. i feel like a lot of people overlook the small details between them, such as minhyuk saying that he goes to changkyun when he’s worried about something or needs to get something off of his chest? that he finds changkyun to be a good listener? and that he loves to lay with changkyun whether it be on their couch or on his bed and listen to changkyun’s stories, everything just throws off such warm and loving vibes and imo it’s Extremely different from minhyuk’s feelings or behaviors towards the other members. the thing that most strongly impacted me and i really cant stop thinking about was from their picnic fanmeeting, there was a vcr where they talked about the members when they weren’t listening and minhyuk very beautifully talked about how it was very obvious to him what changkyun’s emotions were at any moment in time, but changkyun is the type to bottle it up and not want to bother any of the members but how minhyuk wishes he would open it up to them because it’s okay? and he even related it back to his own brother, and how the two of them are the same age, and the entire conversation really just made me realize how much minhyuk views changkyun like his own brother and i :-(( it literally makes me cry.. minhyuk isn’t so much the type to dote on other people, but he does it so much with jooheon but also changkyun and with changkyun it is so much more subtle and often overlooked and it’s a shame! and, one final thing, is that changkyun is SO supportive of minhyuk i feel like he understands a lot of minhyuk’s insecurities (possibly as said above bc i feel like minhyuk opens up to changkyun about these topics a lot?) and openly acts to try to make minhyuk feel more comfortable .. in particular, i’ve been noticing recently how supportive changkyun is about minhyuk’s english which i think could be a point of insecurity for him and seeing changkyun encouraging him to speak in english and helping him and telling him he’s doing well .. small things like that are really good for minhyuk to receive because i feel like since minhyuk tends to come off as a very loud and proud and confident person, it often goes over the members’ heads how much he lives for praise and reassurance as well
